Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Morning Bunnies! Time to get that sleepy-dust out of your eyes, and get moving.

Coffee doesn't sound bad. I'm good for 2 cups in the morning and one in the late afternoon.

Can't say I watched very much of the Grammy's last night. But what I did see wasn't all that bad.

Just a suggestion K2; When you get all the dishes and stuff out of those cabinets, be honest with yourself. Decide what half of all that stuff you could live without.

Anything new with any contractors KC?

Treadmill or stationary bike? Stationary bike while watching another movie.

Oh yea, the anti-inflammatory Kathi has been taking is making her knee feel much better.

How are all you bunnies doing this morning? Me, not so great. I felt sick to my stomach last night and still do. I had a terrible night's sleep. I decided not to wear the mask last night due to feeling sick. All night long I kept waking up every half hour to an hour. Definitely
not a restful night at all. I'll be falling asleep again today in my wonderful chair.

I'm going to give the doctor a call this morning to see what he says about my toes. Other than that, there's not much planned for today. I nrrf to check and make sure I have all the fixing to make chicken potpie for dinner. And that's my day in a nutshell.

Think I'm going to go lie down for a bit. I'll be back later.

Good morning. Well both of my hands are hurting and the middle finger on the left is swollen, not a bad as the index but more than enough. Will be going to Walmart soon for a few things. Only once this weekend did we get rain and it was just under an inch, so enough. Got another good nights sleep last night, hope this keeps up.

Yesterday someone posted and article about flying and i gave up reading it at #67 but did get some good advice. Since it has been 47 years since we flew I know that a lot has changed so I will finish reading the article, I saved it. But a few things from the list are now on my private Amazon list and a few on the Walmart list for today. One thing someone had advised for Alaska is a waterproof tote, so I looked and found one on Amazon and bought it and with using a compression packing bag I can carry everything in it including jackets, in the compression bag, for us for both San Francisco and Vancouver. One thing it has is a separate spot for wet things but I will use it for our papers.

All have a great day.

We got the JAB this morning and then did the grocery shopping that I missed doing on Friday. After that we went to ACE HDWE right down the street and got Art some Drywall Tape for some seam repairs by the bay windows. Then I popped into the Veggie Market, again all in the same close area, and stocked up on onions, peppers, and lettuce, etc, etc. We're stocked up for another 2 weeks.

Only thing I forgot to buy was some SALMON in a CAN to make Salmon patties. No big deal it can wait.

RAIN is now TURNING to SLEEK/SNOW. It's just on the edge of freezing here. The snow that is falling will melt as it touches the grass because it's too wet to stick.

NANCY hope your fingers get to feeling better soon. Nothing worse than a pain that just won't go away.

PAT: Did you read the article I posted about GOUT and what foods to avoid. I'm thinking you need to do a big DETOX from seafoods and rich foods for a week and see if your TOE and stomach feel better. Hope the doctor is of some help to you.

DAVE: I would love to get rid of a lot of the stuff in the dining room, but I actually use it for family dinners. I think in another 5 years, if I'm still around, it will be time to have a Estate Sale for the "GOOD STUFF". Not that any of the younger folks these days in their 30's & 40's would ever be interested in China & Crystal and silver. The good part is almost all of this nice STUFF were gifts from my bridal shower. Back 55 years ago, you would register for ever thing and anything you wanted and actually end up getting all of it. With the money I got from the bridal shower I filled in what was missing. Coming from a big close church community from 3 generations you got nice gifts. Our wedding was for 350 people. Shower was 1/2 that (all women) Ha Ha. Just the way it was.

I have room for all the STUFF in the dining room and MOST ALL of it will go back there.

Lee: So did you get a tad wet walking the dogs this morning? What's happening on your end of the Detroit River??

Karen: Hope you and Barb get some action on quotes this week. Has to be so frustrating just waiting to get work done.
Have fun at the Birthday Lunch.

Bill:
Sleep any better last night?

I watched some of the Grammy's. What I choose to watch was GOOD. In between I got hooked on the fisherman catching TUNA off of Massachusetts. One of those huge TUNA's that they catch on a FISHING POLE can bring in $5800.00 if it's a good grade. One boater was lucky to get 3 and made over $16,000.00 for the 3 . No wonder Yellow Fin Tuna is so expensive when you order it in a nice seafood restaurant.

Out of here now. I need a FRESH cup of JAVA. And then I have work to do!

Kathie - I know all about gout, what to eat and what to avoid. The more I look at this, I really don't think it's gout and neither did the home health gal. It's not as swollen and red like it had been and isn'y hurting all that much. Maybe the meds a starting to work.
There's another problem though - The antibiotic from the one doctor is in conflict w with a blood pressure med from another doctor. It's causing me to get dizzy and to feel sick to my stomach since last night. Calls were made to both doctors, so let's see what they recommend or do. As you would say - It's always something! Good for you to have gotten your booster. Bert went to Publix and forgot to set up an appointment.

The therapist who was here today told be not to walk anywhere this house by myself today. Do you think I can get out of making a pot pie for dinner? I doubt that. Now it's time for me to s it in my wonderful chair. They want me to keep my feet up and hope that it will make my blood pressure go up. It's very low today

Back to reality sucks!
Today I went to Town Hall and paid my auto excise tax that was returned by the Post Office because the address on the return envelope sent to me by the Town
was incorrect. I also paid the quarterly property tax because the check I sent to the town in January never cleared my bank so is off wandering in some alternate universe.
After that Rita and I went to my primary care's office only to find that my appointment is for tomorrow not today. Then we went to an appliance store and found a replacement dishwasher that gets high ratings. They have someone who will deliver and install the machine and take the old one away. Naturally he can't schedule the delivery and installation until late this month, but we have survived this long and can handle another few weeks. Went to a new meat market for some food items and then s
topped at the Credit Union to handle some financial matters and ended up a our favorite Chinese Restaurant for a late lunch.
I guess we were very fortunate to have made it home when we did as I hear that delayed or cancelled flights were even worse Saturday and Sunday and the problems continues into today.
Pat, our son in law has gout and I remember that my boss used to get attacks of gout during Lent, strangely enough it was when he gave up drinking any alcoholic beverages for that 40 day period.
Today and tomorrow are going to be the best weather days of the week and lots of rain is forecast for the rest of the week.

Hard to believe how much STUFF IS IN THAT DINING ROOM and cabinets. And I’m only halfway done emptying the side buffet unit and the drawers. Jill said just keep Pitching!
As much as I hate GARAGE SALES I told Jill I will need her entire families help as soon as it warms up. I won’t do E-Bay because of having to box things and ship and pay E-Bay their charge.
All I know is it sure brings back memories of FANTASTIC PARTIES at the Anderson’s. Both here and our 1st home. Glad we did everything we did and fun doing it.

Made a nice Polish dinner tonight. Cabbage chopped, sautéed onions, chopped fennel root and added nice square noodles. Added Polish sausageand spices and it was a hearty meal.

Our spare bedroom looks like a ESTATE SALE in the making. Everything on tables!

Again, whose idea was it to UPDATE this room?:D:rolleyes:

I’ll try and post pics soon!
So far so good with the JAB vaccine! Hope it stays that way.

Just a fraction of what I still need to LUG OUT of the dining room!

1st pic is the doors on saw-horses! Next 2 pics are STUFF LOADING up on them. What a MESS ! And we’re only getting started.

Please keep your thoughts and focus on Ukraine and its' people. With time, it's all too easy to start thinking of that war as old-news. NOT when more and more war crimes are being discovered everyday.

Happy that you were able to get that second booster shot, K2. What brand did you get? Like us, I hope you didn't get anything from it other than a slight soreness in the spot you got the shot, and maybe a little bit of tiredness. Since you aren't yet willing to get rid of your "collectibles", this still might be a good time to take an inventory of what all you've got.

I once had a bout of painful gout. Luckily it was short lived, thanks to some drugs. At its' worst, I remember it felt like there was glass chips in one of my knees. Needed to go to the Emergency Room so I could straighten my leg out, without screaming.

Breaking news, BB! I don't think that you running this boarding house is good for you anymore. You should be staying off your feet more, but every day you're running to the kitchen to cook for other people.

Another dull but enjoyable day for me. I've come to like quiet, dull, and pretty much uneventful days. Gone are the days of my 20's and 30's when I was always looking for excitement.

Good morning.
We have a trip down the highway today. Lu-Ann has an appointment with her neurologist at the university.
I will be trying to get hold of my cardiologist. He changed my heart meds last week and I’m not having a good time with them. I would have thought 1 year after the procedure I’d be feeling better and cutting back on meds.
So, once I get the meds back on track and start feeling more like me again I’ll be back to annoy everyone more often.
You all stay safe, well and look out for each other.

Good morning. Well only two hours of sleep early last night and have been awake since 11:30, so I got up at 4:30. Am sure that I will take a short nap in a couple or so hours.

Hope I hear from the Dr about the xrays today and that I can get something to actually help with my hands.

All have a great day.

Good morning! I finally got some sleep last night, but not when I was using the breathing system I'm supposed to use every night. It needs a new mask, so air keeps escaping and making farting noises, if you can picture that. Finally took it off around 4 and then got to sleep until 7:30. Better than the last couple of nights.

Kathie - That's some collection of stuff you have there! Lots of luck when it comes to putting it all back once the job is finished. Better you than me is all I can say.

Nancy - I hope you get the results today to find out what the problem in your hands is.

Good luck with getting your cardiologist to get those meds straightened out. Feel better soon, buddy!

Dave - I've been staying off my feet more. The pot pie I made yesterday was so easy to make and they all loved it. Best part is that there's still some left for tonight.
Enough talk about gout already! I don't think that's what I had. The toe with the infection is clearing up nicely and is no longer red and swollen. I think I just hit the other big toe and that's why it was hurting.
Yesterday I was very dizzy (a definite Tony opening!) and the 2 therapists really didn't do anything. One called my cardiologist to let him know. I got a call later in the afternoon that he was changing one of meds. The more I thought about it, I think the problem yesterday and since Saturday was the antibiotic my primary put me on. I think it is too strong for me and was also making me sick to my stomach, so I stopped taking it. I do feel better today, so hopefully I found the root of the problem.

Not much going on here today. Bert's trying to call the IRS about something he needs an answer to. Better him than me is all I can say. Bert just made me a cup of coffee, so it's time for me to get off here for a while and have some breakfast. Have a fantastic day!!

Good Morning Wrabbits.

What's good about it is WE'RE STILL HERE! :clap002:
The WEATHER SUCKS today (so far). Partly cloudy and still DAMP outside from all the sleet we got yesterday. 41 degrees is not bad for 9 am.
I want at least 55-60 to be able to get outside and try and do things around the flower beds.

LEE: I hope you can get your meds straightened out. As for getting off some of them I can hope that will happen. I asked about that the last time I was in the office and was told the blood thinners are my protection to prevent strokes and I'd be on them forever. I hate taking all the pills I take, but I don't want to end up like my older brother either. HANG IN THERE BUDDY and remember .... we're here to listen and support you. VENT AWAY. Sometimes it's nice to just get it out there.

DAVE:
The JAB is about the same as all the others. I do feel where the nice pharmacist jabbed me, but it's no worse than any other shot I've ever gotten. I'm just glad to know that I'm somewhat MORE protected from all the A-Holes in the world that don't believe Covid is real. People are still dying in PURE Michigan and all over the world.
As for remembering the dear folks in Ukraine, I mention them every night in my prayers. And after seeing the atrocities on the news yesterday those Russian animals tortured slaughtered so many of the people it was horrible. All those women and children are going to be left without husbands, fathers, sons and uncles and nephews when this is over. And for WHAT.........just so the idiot in Russia can lie to his people and tell them the Ukraine's started it all. Hard to believe that man is allowed to live. Okay, I'll stop now. Sorry to go off like that.

Here's a fresh pot of coffee for everyone. Have a good day and be thankful for where we live and what we have.......PEACE!

Sorry to hear so many in the hutch are feeling under the weather...myself included...felt sick to my stomach last night and didn't sleep well...stayed in bed till nearly noon today just resting...

Lee, I'm sure it frustrating for you after all you've been thru with your heart to still not feel tip top...if you aren't getting answers from your Dr can you make a change?

Pat, glad to hear the toe is doing a little better...but I tend to agree that your current boarders are not helping with your health situation at all...any end in site for them leaving?

Dave, there is something nice about a day with nothing planned & nothing needing done....I could use a few more of them

Nancy, sure hope they can figure out what is going on with your hands...

Had my pre-surgery Dr. visit yesterday morning...not really sure what the reason for it was...they did a blood pressure check, listened to my heart & went over the procedure...they will NOT be putting me out like I asked...the antheseologist said they don't put people under...they can't put people out...and I will be fine...not thrilled with that...but she assured me I would be relaxed & comfortable...so I just have to take her word for it...

Wes finally made it by Barb's today to look at the project...he said he'd probably work on it at night after she get's off work...with a couple guys who know what they are doing I'm confident they will get it done pretty quick...he's going to send me a price & we'll go from there. Barb had gotten a price from the back up contractor...but when she asked him when he would be able to start he couldn't give her a firm date...cause his schedule was "hectic"....Barb just told him she wasn't interested in when he could "probably" start...she needed a firm date....I don't blame her...this has gone on for over 3 weeks now...hopefully the end is in site...think I'll go warm up some leftover pasta from Olive garden for dinner...lunch yesterday was nice...service was good...food was just so-so...oh well...catch you all later...

Karen: You did the right thing by just staying in bed. Sometimes we just have to listen to our silly bodies and just REST! Hope tomorrow is a better day.
Nice to know that WES finally made it over to Barb's place. Praying the price will be right. Actually, she almost has to go with them after waiting so long. Hope it all works out.

I got a lot done today. And my body TOLD me I did a tad too much. I stopped at around 3:00pm and said "enough is enough"!

Art came home from BIKING with his buddies and ANNOUNCED that YET ANOTHER CROWN came loose. He put it in a tissue and will bring it to the DENTIST tomorrow morning.

What the heck is going on with the silly ANDERSON's and their Crowns and teeth. Oh wait.... I know.....it OLD AGE. Some of these crowns and fillings are decades upon decades old. So tomorrow we will use a good portion of our dental coverage on crown replacements. I'll have some left, but ARTIE will be paying some co-pay and then the surgery in 2 weeks will cost out of pocket. So much for extra money! DUH.

Hope you ALL SLEEP good tonight.

Well talked with the Dr's office and they got he results and the radiologist said it is arthritis in both hands, but Jennifer was not in today so they will give her the info in the morning and I may be getting a rx for an ointment. Bruce has a rx for this ointment for his neck. So will see.

Karen, no they don't put you under for Cataract surgery but for mine I remember going in the or and then coming back out, I was that relaxed. And if you are getting the cutting done by laser you don't feel a thing and that only takes a minute.

I will be going to bed soon. So all have a good night.
