Sleep problems and other ailments seem to be running rampant in the hutch lately. Are you Bunnies getting way too upset worrying about little kids eating off your ears on Easter?

Congratulations KC on getting a GO from Wes, your only really trusted contractor. It's worth it to pay him what he wants. And from what you've said about him, it will be a fair price.

Surprise, surprise, the tree company came back yesterday and took down another large tree next door. I'm beginning to wonder if our neighbor is removing all his large trees.

In a bit Fuzzbutt is going to the groomers to be beautified.

While she's there, Kathi and I are going grocery shopping. Another short shopping list this week. Probably won't buy any, but I'm looking forward to looking at all the Easter candy they'll be selling.

Happy Hump Day, bunnies! Another gorgeous hot day around here. Too bad we have to stay home waiting for home health to show up. After he leaves, it's time for us to hit a few stores to pick up the rest of tonight's dinner and to get a few things in advance of Easter. I'd also like to see about organizing the Easter candy that we bought and to see if we need any additional stuff.

Dave - So how did you make out shopping? Did you break down and buy some candy? I bet Fuzzbutt looks beautiful after her grooming.

Nancy. Glad that you got your results, but sorry to hear that it's arthritis. I hope the cream helps.

Karen - So any idea when the work at Barb's place will commence? I'm sure she's eager to get it finished, so she doesn't have to go to anyone else's house to take a shower.

Lee - You definitely were a man of few words this morning! Did you take the dogs to the Navy Yard for their walk?

Kathie - Ouch! to Art having another crown break. I hope he can get in to the dentist right away.

And now, boys and girls, it's time for me to get another cup of coffee and go enjoy it out on the lanai. Have a fantastic day and stay safe.

Good morning. Got a good nights sleep last night. This morning I looked up rx's for arthritis and then went on my insurance web site to look them up and the cream is not covered by my insurance but there is one medication in pill form that is so I am hoping that is what is prescribed.

Will be packing for this weekend and so far have most of my clothes in the suitcase and will Bruce's in a bit. We are going over tomorrow and tomorrow afternoon and evening will be seeing my brother and sister-in-law and going out to dinner with them.

Last week I ordered a new charger and some batteries for my camera and the charger and batteries are set for this weekend. Later I am going to order an charger that will charge 3 batteries at a time so I will be set for Alaska. I also ordered compression socks to wear while flying but I could not get one over my feet so they are going back and I have found a larger one that I will be ordering.

Yesterday I checked on our flights to Vancouver and found that I could choose our seats and I decided to upgrade and choose, so that cost a bit but I think it is worth it to get an extra foot of room for our feet. I also prepaid the luggage fee so only may have to pay for over weight fee. Then I checked the flights home and also did an upgrade and choose, as to luggage fee this airline right now only has an overweight fee so that can't be paid for until we check in. And again the fees for the seat upgrade I feel are worth it for getting and extra foot for our feet.

All have a great day.

Well look at that it's AFTERNOON ALREADY.

We both were up early and on the road to the DENTIST. Seems to be a every other week occurrence here lately.
Pat: We both had appts for today, so there was no problem getting Art's crown glued back on. It's decades old and just decide to pop off.
So he got 1 New Crown put on and 1 old Crown glued back on.
I on the other hand, got 1 cracked crown removed and impressions and a temporary crown put on today. I go back in 2 weeks for the permanent one to be put on. WHOPPEE!
I feel like we're paying for our dentists new house in Fort Meyers area. They just got back last night from being down there a week. ALL NICE and BROWN. They have a small boat in a well in back on their property. Here at in Michigan they live on Lake St Clair and have another small boat in the dock in the canal. LIFE is GOOD for him and his Hygienist wife. Must say they are GOOD PEOPLE. Never rub it in your nose that they're doing good.

I managed to POLISH a few of the Sterling Silver bowls and a ice bucket and tray.
The bowls have plexiglass inserts and I actually use them and the Ice bucket. All the trays and "Tea Set" (somebody bought us for housewarming gift for this current house 30 yrs ago) are getting hopefully sold. Sure glad I got a LOT OF USE out of all this STUFF when we entertained a lot and at Christmas too. Now it's time to get rid of it.

Nancy: My doctor prescribed this for my knee. You can buy it over the counter, but it's about $12-15 bucks depending on where you go. She gave me a prescription and I my insurance is paying for it. I only pay my Co-Pay of $5 bucks.
It helps....but NOTHING OUTSTANDING! Extra Strength Tylenol does the trick and lasts for about 2-3 days for me.
DICLOFENAC SODIUM TOPICAL GEL, 1% Net wt 100g.
I know you can buy it at Costco. I would think you could get it ONLINE too.

DAVE: As long as the neighbor is PAYING for his trees to get cut down it will be nicer for you in the FALL. Less leaves for your lawn man and less mess for you to look at. I'd give anything to have our neighbors UGLY HUGE WILLOW tree cut down. I'm thinking it would be a good $4000 bucks easy. This sucker is HUGE. Loves being planted right on the creek to absorb all that water.

The latest JAB of vaccine is not giving us any problems. I did get tired yesterday after moving all the stuff out of the dining room and the vaccine might have had something to do with it, but nothing out of the big deal. If I rub my arm I know where the jab went in!

RAIN is on it's way per the weather folks. Sure miss the SUNSHINE we had all WINTER.

Lee:
Hope you're resting up over your way and working through your med issues. Hate when you just can't get the right one to make you feel PERKY.

I'm out of here for now.

Karen, I'll second Nancy's comments about the cataract surgery. I was very relaxed but not totally "out" during mine and it went quickly and smoothly and I was done and on the way back home without delay.
Speaking of things going smoothy and quickly, that pretty much describes my experience yesterday with my appointment with my primary care doctor, Good reports and I was in and saw him and had lab work completed in less than 45 minutes. See him again in three months but several other medical appointments between now and then.
Yesterday was apparently the last day of good weather until after the upcoming weekend. Awoke to a rainy and gloomy day so stayed in bed for a while and got some needed rest.
Watched and enjoyed the Ken Burns' programs about Ben Franklin. I knew the writer of Burns' films, Dayton Duncan, from my time at the NE Governors'Conference, when he was Press Secretary for the then Governor of NH, the late Hugh Gallen. Dayton has come a long way
since those days and has quite a list of writing achievements over the past years.

K2, DICLOFENAC SODIUM TOPICAL GEL, 1% Net wt 100g is the gel, Bruce uses it for his neck and I really don't want to be having to rub in gel 4 times a day, I would rather take a pill.

Have all our clothes in the suitcase for this weekend, just toiletry bags to go in.

Good afternoon, another relaxing day for the most part which I am thoroughly enjoying...

Nancy & Bill...hopefully my next cataract surgery will go the same as yours did...the last one I had done they told me I would be relaxed but not out....but whatever they used put me out like a light...the Dr. did tell me Monday that the medicine they use is some kind of drops they put under your tongue...I am pretty quick re-acting to medicine so she did say it was possible I would not be out...but would not remember any of the surgery...

Dave, so how many bags of Easter candy made their way into your basket?

Pat, still waiting on Wes to get us a price on doing the job...unless he is crazy off the wall expensive we are going with him...which I highly doubt he will be... and just how much more Easter candy did you add to the stockpile?? I haven't bought anything yet...and most likely won't...

Lee, good afternoon to you my friend...hope things are going better in the 'Berg...

Kathie, I hope you & Art are at least on the dentist's Christmas Card list after all this dental work you two are having done...even a post card from Florida would be a nice touch...

We found out some very sad & shocking news from Wes yesterday...Karen Redd the owners wife at Southern plumbing that I worked with all those years passed away last Sept. Bill...she was also one of Rita's clients for a while I believe....she caught Covid and because she had received a kidney transplant a few years back the covid caused her body to reject the kidney....she had just turned 61 on August 14th...and passed away Sept. 24....from what Wes said the office was in a mess for a while because Karen & the accountant did ALL the bookwork for the company...he said Bob couldn't even get into their personal accounts because he didn't know the passwords...you just never know what life is going to throw at you next....

Good Thursday morning, Bunnies! Or as some call it, Friday-Eve.

Nope, no Easter candy made its' way into our shopping cart at the grocery store. Although some of it looked very tasty. But candy, like cookies, I eat very little of. So I'm not buying a whole bag or box just for a couple of pieces.

And did you add to your candy supply, BB?

K2; You and Art sure are quite generous to your dentist and his wife.

So Lee, tell us what symptoms have popped up since your medications have changed. It helps us understand better what you're going through.

That so sucks KC that Covid took the life of of the owner's wife of the place you used to work at. Causing her body to reject her kidney transplant. That damn Covid just plain messes with all sorts of people's systems.

We all are pretty much doomed to get some arthritis as we get older, Nancy. Often settling in where we were injured once. Sadly, there's not a heck of a lot of cures for it. Or the pain it can cause.

Bill; I can't think of a single documentary made by Ken Burns that isn't interesting.

Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho it's off to the stationary bike I go. Then a nutritious breakfast of hot-wings.

Thursday already.
Good news and sad news across the confines of the hutch.
Going to walk “the kids” and then off to the dermatologist.
I’ll check in on everyone later this afternoon.

I have a strange hankering for hot wings…

Morning, everyone! Weather sure can mess up your day. UGH! We were planning a trip to Daytona today for a Buc-ee's shopping trip, but Mother Nature said "not today". It's supposed to start raining soon with t-storms off and on all day. We were also planning to go out for dinner tonight, but that too looks like it will be a washout.

Dave - No more candy has been assed to my stash. I had picked up a lot of the German chocolates last time we were in Aldi's. That saved us from making a trip to World Market, another favorite place of mine. Oh well, I'm sure we'll get there sooner or later.

Nancy - Sounds like you're just about ready to hit the high seas. Have a wonderful time!

Karen - Sorry to hear that your old boss' wife passed away. We've lost so many good people to Covid.:( I hope Wes gives you a price that everyone will be happy with.

Lee - So how was your walk this morning? I hope you are getting your meds in order these days. I understand that tomorrow I will have 7 prescriptions waiting for me for the next month. That's like 47 pills over the next month!

Bill - Glad you got a good report from your doctor yesterday. Keep up the good work!

Time for me to write out a shopping list for Bert. Just got the new Publix flyer and I saw lots of things we need or I just want!! Have a wonderful day, everyone, and stay dry & safe.

Good Afternoon Wrabbits!

DAVE: Good for you NOT buying any candy. I don't buy Easter Candy. I was never big on Easter Baskets. We usually celebrate Orthodox Easter a week earlier or a week later (like this year). When the kiddies were little I made up baskets, but not anymore. And I don't need candy tempting me!
Hard to believe you can get on that Tread-mill so early in the morning. Kudo's to you.

Karen: How very sad about the ex-boss's wife passing away. JUST so HORRIBLE. I hope that the gal that took your place is able to figure out how to do the books. Or maybe, by now there have been many gals doing your former job. I'm thinking if the boss couldn't figure out the passwords to get into the books he had to HIRE some BIG TIME bookkeeping firm to help him out. Another good reason to have passwords secured somewhere.

It's mostly cloudy here right now. Rained last night, but dry now. At least it's a BRIGHT CLOUDY and not GRAY. I see a little blue sky, but not too sure we'll see much bright sunshine today. It's supposed to CHANGE to 65+ in the next few days. :clap002:

Lee:
I'll place a BET that the DERMO Dr finds "SOMETHING" to burn off. They always do.

Nancy: Where is it that you are going? I thought your cruise was in late August or Sept? I'm not good at keeping track of everything that goes on here! Tony would appreciate that sentence!

I found the picture of our group meeting in OHIO years ago. WOW........we've all gotten older. "Ha ha.... ya think"??? The photo is starting to fade it's colors. :emoticon 0101 sadsmile:

BB: Bummer the weather is getting in the way of your trip to Buc-ee's. From the pictures I've seen of that place I'm not sure I'd want to go there right now with all the SnowBirds going home and all the Spring Break people traveling back and forth. Could be crazier than it usually is.

Hewlet Packard is offering me an extended warranty on my LapTop for $70 bucks for a year. I'm not going for it. This thing hasn't moved from this computer table and I use a external keyboard, so I don't even type on it. I'm just going to WING it and save my money. If I have issues I deal with them then. Now watch this dang thing breakdown tomorrow! Ha Ha.

Out of here for now.
BE SAFE and get your 4th Covid booster. They were saying on TV that the effects don't protect you for very long, but getting them is better than NOT doing it. There are so many NEW VARRIANTS it seems like we could be getting boosters every 4 months. At my age all I can say is I'll do anything to NOT BE ON A VENT MACHINE.
I know this last booster is working because I have a small round circle area that is PINK on my arm where I got the JAB. Didn't get that with the other Jabs. I do think that the young lady pushed the needle in rather deep!

How un-American can you get not to like Easter candy? Shame on you, Kathie! I have always loved chocolate candy and what they make at Easter is the best. I remember as a kid walking into an ice cream parlor and seeing all the beautifully decorated bunnies and eggs. My parents bought each of us a chocolate rabbit that was at least 18 inches tall every year, plus all the extra chocolate candy that we each got in our baskets. I guess that's why I love GOOD chocolate so much.
It's ok to go to Buc-ees any day of the week, except Saturday & Sunday. Then it is a madhouse. Right now there is a lull in spring breakers until after Easter when the schools up north will be on break.

It has gotten very dark and grim looking outside. We can hear thunder in the distance and it's just starting to rain.

BB: I was never big on chocolates. If I eat them I like DARK CHOCOLATES.

Getting darker and darker here too. It’s gonna rain.

I made dough that needs to stay in the refrig overnight. Making Apricot filled Kifle! They look like crescent shaped pastries. This is for the Choirs Annual Palm Sunday Bake Sale. April 17th.

I’m not sure that any bunny that doesn’t like chocolate is allowed to stay in the hutch over Easter! And just what is the proper etiquette for devouring a chocolate bunny? Feet first so it can’t hop away? Ears first so it can’t hear you coming?
So about the meds…a year on (yes, the surgery was a year ago this weekend) the AFib hasn’t settled down. The cardiologist changed the Crestor to a larger dose of Lipitor and added a pill to lower my heart rate at night. Anyway, after a few days I noticed that I was getting very short tempered (more so than usual), apathetic (not that I really care) and I seemed, on occasion, to be in a bit of a fog and light headed. His advice yesterday…try to stay the course for a month to allow my system to adapt. Easy for him to say…
So there you have it gang.
Buc-ees is a lot like Las Vegas, isn’t it Pat. You gotta see it at least once. Yep, the pups get their walks at The Navy Yard. We dodge the rains but they do get them.
We can’t get our 4th shot (second booster) until May Kathie. You can bet that we’ll be booking them closer to the date. Maybe then we can plan a meet n’ greet. I go back in June for the dermatologist to do his thing.
Safe travels Nancy! Hopefully the meds help your arthritis.
A chum had cataract surgery in early March Karen. He said the procedure took about 10 minutes per eye! A week later he was back in the office reading the smallest line on the chart!
I enjoy the documentaries that use ‘The Ken Burns Effect“ Bill. It always adds another layer of interest to the “stills” that are used.
OK, signing off from The Burg for tonight.
You all be good. Or not. It’s Santa that judges. Not the Easter Bunny.

Perhaps if I only eat Dark Chocolate solid Easter Eggs I can STAY IN THE HUTCH! Please!
I don’t want to be a “street person” on a holiday.

Lee: It sucks t try and tell the heart doctor that you feel like sh*t and he just tells you to deal with it for a month. I have UP’s and DOWN’s too. I stopped taking my evening 2 meds for over 6 months and nothing was different. I started taking them again and I again didn’t notice any difference. I wore that monitor for 7 days and had 1 A-fib. And I can bet my house that I’ll never hear the results unless I call. They made money and I’m sure they’re all happy.
Hang in there Lee. Think positive.

And YES, we will do a meet up in May for sure! Can I bring you some Sterling Silver as as a Housewarming gift? Ha ha.

I baked some of those pastries after dinner and they'll be just perfect for the Bake Sale. More of them to roll and bake on Friday! Legs are tired for tonight!

Watching Law & Order now.

Night gang.

A late good evening. We made it to Jennifer's about 1:30 and we left for my brother's at 2. We had a very nice visit. Found that my nephew was not a suicide rather he collapsed going from the bathroom back to his be and he had hit his head. My sister-in-law said the sheriff deputy that was there said he probably had been on the floor for about 13 to 14 hours when they found him. So while still very sad it is easier to take.

Our cruise is not until September, so we have 5 months to go. But I am ready.

All have a good night.

Good morning!

When was the last time you drank some V-8? That yummy vegetable drink. (Mostly tomato juice.) In the morning I'd rather have that than orange juice. As you probably guessed, I'm having another one this morning. (No vodka in it for a bloody Mary, but it is a thought.)

It's weird Lee how a chemical imbalance or a shift in medications can effect our emotions and temperament. At least you notice and are aware that it's not your normal nature which will help your get through this temporary glitch. Hang in there my friend.

I like all chocolates, but like you K2 dark chocolate is my favorite. I can't remember the name of the company but they even sell dark chocolate gelato.

Sucks that you had to cancel your trip to Buc-ee's, BB. Sounds like a great place just to find unusual things and people-watch.

A cool day here today, as it will be tomorrow. I should go to the hardware store this morning and pickup a can waterproofing for Franklin. As long as I don't look too close, I think I'm done painting him.
