Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

I have an old cd, radio player that I have used for years, tried to get it to work yesterday, tried again today and gave up. I am now using a teac that is very old but playing just fine . I'm listenng to Mitch Miller. I could just use the cd player on my computer.
It was 50 earlier today, down to 45 now. Most of the 5 inches of snow has melted. I don't know if I'm going to listers to Trump today or not. I noticed my spell check is working again,
Lee, I would hate to have to go out and cut grass when it was 43 out. I think I will stay south of you. I think we only have one mall left near us Lee and it is upscale. 3 malls have been torn down, I hated to see them go but they were empty, even of Saturdays. I used to walk one with a lot of other people, after the walk sit down and have a cup of coffee and a donut. My son does all his shopping thru the internet.
I"m glad your bread was good Kathie, like Lee said, fresh bread slathered with butter is good, no matter whaat time of the day. Nice to hear you had a good visit withf George and Marie.
Karen, sound like Barb is really improving and I hope she coninues to do so.
Hi Lee

Dentist appt for ME tomorrow morning! Just to put the new crown on! It’ll take me longer to get there than it will to snap on the crown! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Happy Good Morning GIF

Enjoy the trip to the dentist and your new crown Kathie. No stopping for a hot beverage on the way home!
My Mom and Dad were big fans of “Sing Along With Mitch” when it was on TV Mike. Watching that show with them likely steered my musical tastes towards “real” music.
As some of the gang prepares to head off this weekend to spend Christmas with family, this afternoon is our lunch and gift exchange. It will be nice to have everyone together.
Hopefully the predicted weather doesn’t advance into early afternoon. We are supposed to see 45F and rain at 4:00 pm dropping to 30F and snow by 4:00 am Friday. And dropping further to 19F by 9:00 am!
The cardiologist was supposed to call at 4:00 pm yesterday. The last time we had a phone consultation he didn’t call until almost 6:30. Well, I’ll be on the phone at 8:00 because the call didn’t come at all. I wonder how much I can bill him for a missed appointment? ;)
Good morning Miss Karen.
Anyway, you all have a wonderful day.

Good 42 degree Morning to you all.

Lee: Thanks for the cute CROWN! I'll wear it with honor! Ha Ha.
I think a Cheese Danish from the Famous Josep's bakery will be in order! I'll just have to wait to eat after the "crown" is in for a while. Now the COFFEE will be a must for the ride home.

Karen: How is the family in Maryland doing? Have a good day kiddo.

Later gang.

Lee, singalong withMitch was a must in our younger days. I have his tape and play it every year/
I bet your dheese danish will be delicious K2, have another one. It's almost time for my coffee.

Mike: Got the "crown" put on and it's good. Stopped and got that Cheese Danish and then stopped at Tim Horton's and got a Senior coffee. Life is Good!

Lee: You might have a soggy walk with Ava this evening. We have a light rain going on over here right now.

Karen: Hopefully, things are dry and warmer down in Belleview.

I actually managed to buy 3 X-mas gifts today. Walked around
JC Penny's forever just to find a sweatshirt for grandson. Picked up a pair of black slacks for myself that Art can give me. Best way to get a clothing item is to try it on and pick it out yourself! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Later gang.

Good morning.
Lots of weather warnings popping up this morning but so far it just seems windy. I hope that wherever you good folks are the weather is kind to you today.
I bet that coffee and cheese danish were sure good when you got to them Kathie. A good idea picking up a Christmas present for yourself from Art. I’ve encouraged Lu-Ann to do that with clothes that she may like for a while now. The same size in different brands seems to fit differently. You mentioned picking up three Christmas gifts. One for yourself and one for Eric. Is the other one for Mike or me? ;)
At our get together yesterday Mike the topic of entertainers and Christmas TV specials came up. We all wondered what happened to the good old fashioned Christmas Variety Shows. Usually hosted by a well known entertainer with lots of guests from actors to singers and everyone in between.
I wonder what this day will have in store for us? I suspect that will depend on the accuracy (or inaccuracy) of the weather forecast.
Have a good day and if you’re out and about watch out for distracted holiday drivers.

Hi Wrabbit family. Is it cold enough for everyone?? DUH! We haven't even gotten to the 1st day of WINTER and the weather is crazy. UP and DOWN. Right now it's DOWN w/a few snow flurries on and off.

That brings up a lot of good memories from the past. Shows by folks like: Dean Martin, Lawrence Welk, Bob Hope. They were excellent shows full of Joy and great skits. Sure glad we got to watch good programs like that, and may I add for FREE, back then.

Washing throw rugs today, and then all those cozy blankets we pull up on ourselves while watching TV. Art did a quick vacuuming and I'll think about getting out the rug shampoo machine for the family room area. There are a few small spots that just bug me that I want to get GONE! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

A trip to the grocery store to get some Poppy Seed spread and a stop at the bank to get some ACTUAL CASH for Mark's Birthday tonight. I have given up on trying to buy this fantastic guy anything for his special day. He does do a good job of buying something and letting us both know how he spent the money. He's lucky in one way to get some "cash" for his birthday and then he gets some "cash" for Christmas. Add them together and he can buy something he really needs or wants!

You all be safe and stay warm. HUGS to all.

By the way: Our one choir member who has been in the hospital and rehab and back in the hospital and back to rehab went home yesterday after 3 months. It was a touching fair well by the entire staff when he left.
Not sure all of you can see this video or not. Click below and then click on the picture to get the video to start:

4 degrees WIND CHILL at 5:00 pm. I got my errands done in record time. I had to hold my hand over my face/nose the wind was so harsh.

Mark’s Birthday dinner with us going over to their house was cancelled. Mark didn’t want us out in the windy cold just in case something happened on the road. Good advice in my estimation. We’ll get together another day.

Stay warm folks.

Tierneys just left. We had a very nice time, oredered our meal. no cooking and washing dishes.
It sounds like you were all set K2. cheese danish and coffee, can't ask for much more t hat that. 4 degrees windchill, good time to stay inside.
Does anyone remember the Christmas specials Bob Hope when he would have the shows when they were over sees. I don't know if there will ever be anything like it again.
I'll flip you for the 3 gift Lee.

Brrr. 23F but feels like 9F with the wind. Once again too cold for Ava and I to head out early. That and the fact that the town spread salt on the roads around our community yesterday.
Lu-Ann and I did go out to the grocery store yesterday. It’s the smaller on in town and is never as busy as our bigger “brand name” stores. They don’t have the same selection but they do have nice stuff. We picked up some chicken, salmon and veggies to see us through a few days.
I think Mark made a good call Kathie. It’s always the other drivers on the road I worry about. Even in good driving conditions. Did the crown settle in nicely for you?
Mike, you mention another entertainer who’s Christmas shows I fondly recall watching with my folks, Mr. Bob Hope. He had the singers, dancers, comedians and of course the actresses. He was of course playing for the mostly male US troops.
What is on for you this weekend Karen? I imagine, like so many places of worship, the church is expecting larger than normal attendance for Christmas. I do hope Barb is continuing to feel better.
So, I called my cardiologist the other morning after I didn’t get my scheduled phone call. The receptionist informed me that I had missed my appointment! I asked how I could have missed a phone follow up. She asked if I was sure it was a phone follow up and then said that she guessed I didn’t hear the phone. I told her I had been ready 30 minutes before the scheduled time and waited until bedtime for the call. I also told her that with my brand of hearing aids my phone rings in my ears, on my Apple Watch and oddly enough, on my iPhone and there were no missed calls on my call log. My rescheduled call is now when we are in Florida. I may call them the day before to remind them! Yes, sometimes I can be an @$$ too.
I should finish my coffee and think about getting Miss Ava her breakfast. You all have a great Saturday.

Late getting here this morning! Brrr cold. I really didn't want to get out from under the covers earlier this morning. I think one of these COLD mornings I'm going to just stay in bed ALL DAY! :emoticon 0140 rofl: :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
That really wouldn't work since I would miss my coffee!

Lee: What a shame the receptionist couldn't have just said something like.... "Oh, I'm sorry that happened. Perhaps it was a misunderstanding on our part." But no she had to continue to drill you. Not a good thing to have happen when you're the Cardio patient. Geez.

Mike: Smart move having food brought into the house for the Tierney's visit. Glad you folks still get together.

Karen: What's happening down your way girl? Is Barb doing good now that the med-vac has been removed? Sure hope so.
And how is the MARYLAND family doing these days?

I set up a Facial Treatment at a Spa that is close to our house for the Saturday after Christmas. They had a special and I haven't had anything like that in years. My treat to me! I made sure that you didn't have to buy a package to get the special price. The place called to confirm the appt at 8:15 a.m. this morning. The nice lady said they would be calling again next week. Whatever!

Perform Bob Hope GIF by American Masters on PBS
The Bob Hope Christmas specials were the best.
He and the entire group did a fantastic job keeping our soldiers entertained.

STAY WARM folks. Later..............

Mike: These always amazed me. We had a guy that did it in our neighborhood…..then moved! Haven’t seen one in a long time.
Thanks for sharing this!
Star You Rock GIF

Good Sunday morning everyone.
Fools that we are we bundled up and took Ava for a walk, or should I say half a walk, at The Navy Yard yesterday. Well, DANG, it was COLD! But at least we all got out.
We had a house in Ayr that did a coordinated Christmas light and music show. He streamed the music over some low frequency signal to your car radio.
Another connection we had to Trans Siberian Orchestra was a friend of ours drove one of the many equipment trucks required to put on their incredible shows.
LONG BORING PART WARNING…TSO toured in two groups. East and west coast. Each group had two full sets of equipment. To try and ensure that concerts weren’t impacted by weather, each equipment team did every other show. The band and singers would arrive at every venue to find things set up and only needed sound checks. Brian toured with the east coast group from mid November until mid January. And yes, we were lucky enough to see their Christmas show a number of times courtesy of tickets from Brian.
A fun clip of Bob Hope Kathie. Enjoy your spa day! I’d be happy to stay in bed after 6:00, let alone all day!
Ordering in was a great idea Mike. No fuss, no cooking mess. You and Fay can spend the entire time “visiting” and enjoying each other’s company.
We’re starting to keep an eye on the long term weather for Florida Karen. I hope it’s warmer this year than it was last year.
All of you, no matter what this day may bring, have a good one.

Lee & Lu-Ann…. Thanks for the really cute and thoughtful video card. Merry Christmas to you both too.

KAREN: You and your choir did a FANTASTIC job today singing in church. The Christmas carols were spot on. Nice you had a piano player and guitar playing along. GOOD JOB! :clap002:

Got sme last minute nut roll baking done today. DONE WITH THAT—— Whew! House smells nice.

Gathered up bags that had gifts I had bought earlier in the season. Now to see if I have the wrapping paper, bags and tags downstairs!

I just saw that Kohl’s is open until MIDNITE! If you go at 10:30 pm you have the store to yourself! I’ve actually done that before!

Have a good evening all.

Great news about George to start this Monday of Christmas Week Kathie. The weather later today could be a very nasty mix of snow, freezing drizzle and who knows what else! We decided to forego games day to keep everyone safe.
I may nip out to the grocery store before it all starts to pick up some cream, gotta have coffee!
I’m happy that the little Christmas Greeting made you smile Kathie. I can’t believe that department stores would stay open until midnight, especially on a Sunday.
Kathie’s description of your service yesterday sounds lovely Karen. On a personal level I am so very happy that you found your church.
Forgive me Mike. I meant to ask what the four of you ordered in for dinner the other evening.
Once I get home I’ll need to touch base with our vet. I need to order food and medication for Ava for Florida. Plus she needs her regular order for here. Because it’s special sensitive tummy food we can only get it through a vet. The last time we got it through the Florida vet it was the same price as here. Except in US dollars! I guess I best order prescriptions for Lu-Ann and I too! I keep forgetting that we lose three business days over the next couple of weeks.
Once again I’m getting that “where’s my breakfast” look from Ava.
You all have a safe and wonderful day.
