Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Here I am, back after my trip to Walmart and the bulk food store. The bulk store is good when you only need a tiny bit of something for a recipe. Considering it’s the Monday before Christmas, Walmart was pretty quiet. Half and half is anywhere between $1.50 to $2.00 less expensive than the grocery store. I was in and out of both spots a lot quicker and with far less aggravation than I anticipated!
Still waiting for the predicted nasty weather to start.

Hi GANG. BUSY over here! I'd PULL OUT MY HAIR, but I don't have much left to begin with! :emoticon 0140 rofl:

Got go. Stay safe if going out in the CRAZY traffic the next couple of days.

Hugs to all.

Glad George was having a good day Kathi, I hope he continues to have a lot of good adays.
I had salman when the Tierneys were here Lee, I think the next time I order I will spice it up some. I have no idea what any one else ordered.
We had family yesterday. Our son and daughter, 2 grandaughters and our oldest granddaughter's husband. 3 great granddaughters and a lot of laughs and greetings. Fay just got back from Jungle Jims, she said it was packed and the store is large.
I went to the pain management this early afternoon, got some pain relief meds ordered, I think I'm set for a while.
Temps are in the mid 40s and will stay that way for a while but after that it looks like it is going to get pretty cold.
We notice while we were driving to the Dr.s there wasn't nearly as much decorations as there used to be. I think the area is getting older and if they are like me, I don't decorate outside like I used to.
Have a good evening.

Wow, Tuesday already. With temperatures headed to 45F today it’s hard to believe that Christmas is only two days away!
I like salmon Mike. It’s supposed to be good for you too. We do a lemon dill version and a Cajun spice version to kick it up a notch. Like most things though, even a salmon fillet is getting very expensive. That sounds like a fantastic generational family gathering you had. Nice.
Any hair left after your trip out yesterday Kathie?
Good morning Karen.
Not much else from this side of The River this morning.
Everyone have a wonderful day.

Hope you all are enjoying the warmer temps. Almost all the snow has melted around here.

Lee: Amazingly I still have some hair left! Ha ha.

Mike: Enjoyed your post. Nice to have a full house of family this time of the year.

Karen: Stop by and let us know what you’re up to!

Busy here this morning trying to get things all in order!
Thawing out food in the refrig and then need to wrap presents and then clean!
My GANG will be here tomorrow and I feel a TAD behind. o_O

You all have a good day!

Oh dear.
We went to The Navy Yard this morning. Then we went to a local coffee shop and bakery, Caffeine & Co, for a delicious BLT and a coffee. When we got home I heard something odd coming from one of the closets. Ava was with us so I knew it wasn’t her. As I got closer the “knocking” sound got louder. I took a deep breath, grabbed the door handle and flung the door wide open. Then I saw the culprit! It was a roll of “wrapping” paper.
:emoticon 0102 bigsmile: That is one of my favourite silly Christmas stories.

Kathie, glad to hear George is still having good days. Thanks for the kind words about our choir this past week, I thought we sounded a little weak.

Lee, I was in Walmart this morning as well & you mentioned I was surpised it wasn't busier than it was. Course it was early so I'm sure that helped.

Mike, I noticed in our community this year there didn't seem to be as many decorations. I guess between age & the state of the world lately it's hard to get into the holiday spirit!

Barb is still doing well, wound care is coming 3 days this week & then cut's back to 1 day a week next week, or so we've heard. I'm in charge of changing her dressing on the days they don't come.
Choir practice tonight & then Christmas Eve service tomorrow night at 8.

Went to my eye dr. yesterday & the pressure was down to 15 in both eyes. He would like to see it closer to 13 but said if it stays at 15 he will be happy with that. I now have to have the visual field test 2 times a year instead of once a year. Not thrilled about that but it is what it is.

Karen good to hear from you and that you got a good eye report! Glad Barb is doing well too.

Crazy is what you can call me.

I went to TJ MAXX and for Manny a Xmas toy. The line to pay moved REALLY FAST! Then I went to Costco. Got a spot 4 spaces from the front of the row! Went on and grab a pkg of the shrimp and a bag of coffee that was on sale. Thought of you LEE when I stopped and picked up a sample! Reminded me of Disney handouts of the past.

Okay last big thing to do now is WRAP PRESENTS. Thank goodness there are NOT too many.

So good to see the SUNSHINE!

49F. Could put up with that kind of temp all Winter :emoticon 0115 inlove:

Did you slam the door real fast Lee. It is a nice Christmas story but I keep wondering if there is a little bit of truth in it :)

Enjoy your gang tomorrow Kathie.

It got up to 60 today, was out side for a few minutes and it felt warm/

Every one, enjoy wrapping your Christmas presents

Have a good evening

Good Christmas Eve morning.
Like Kathie and Mike we saw warmer than seasonal too. We were right around 50F yesterday.
It made it nice to pop out to the vet and the pharmacy in the afternoon to put in our orders for when we head south. With holidays over the next week or so I wanted to make sure they both had ample time to get things in. I had to sign the usual paperwork at the pharmacy to get extra meds before we needed them.

Crazy is what you can call me.
Well, if you insist…Tony and Dave would have jumped on that quicker than me grabbing a Ghirardelli sample! Sadly they no longer give out the samples at Disney Springs now. It ended with COVID and never started back up again.
Lu-Ann is going to bake a dozen of her chocolate chip cookies with Christmas M&M’s today to give to the folks next door.
To everyone with plans today just plain be careful. Watch out for those folks who may be a little distracted.

I'm as done and ready as I can possibly be.
Just need to put trays in the oven to heat up at about 3:00 pm/

Can't wait until this is all over. I wonder how many people don't even know just what we're celebrating tomorrow! Seems it's all about PRESENTS and FOOD. Not much to do with religion.

I put my car out in front of the house in the street to SAVE a SPACE. Seems like the neighbors all think because we're two old folks we don't need the "parking area" for our guests. They already parked one car in front of our house. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Presents are packed and in handy nice carry-type totes to make it easier to bring to Jill's tomorrow.

Mike I envy you having 60 degree temps. Hope it lasts a long time for you and Fay. Enjoy your Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Lee: Good that you're getting all the necessary meds for you guys and food etc for Ava for your trip. I just hope you guys have much warmer weather than last year.

To all of you Have a SAFE and MERRY evening.

Later..........

We get a little of t he parking in front of our house Kathie, but it could be worse, summer is worse. You are organized.
Lee, did Lu-Ann make enough cookies for you to sample????
It is going to be in the 50s or 60s the next 3 days then turn cold. Pattie and Michael will be here late this afternoon. Pattie will be in church and Michael has to work. Michael works the full day today so he can take off Friday.
Have a nice Christmas eve.

Good morning! I hope you all had as lovely a Christmas as Lu-Ann and I did.
I feel bad for brick and mortar retailers as we are under a freezing rain travel advisory. That may impact people getting out for Boxing Day Sales.
I remember, back in the day, when Lu-Ann and I would be up and out as early as the malls opened. Often lining up at The Hallmark Store to get 50% off ornaments and decorations. That’s when Hallmark sold cute Christmas ornaments. Not sports and movie figures to hang on the tree.
I’ll keep it short this morning. (As my cyber family issues a collective sigh of relief) I’m going to finish my coffee.
All of you have a delightful day.
