Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

What in the Sam Hill were you doing up at 3:30 in the morning posting Christmas Carols Kathie! Your choir just sounds so polished and professional. A beautiful way to start this Sunday morning. Thank You. I hope George is feeling a little better today.
Your mention of tapes, CD’s and records sure covered about 50 years of how we used to enjoy music Mike. Audiophiles still insist the purest sounds come from records. Maybe that’s why many artists are releasing them again.
Now I’m as guilty as many others in that all of the music I listen to is digital. We have Sirius Satellite radio in the car. Because we have Amazon Prime their vast music catalogue is included. We can pick and choose what we want to hear.
I’m sitting hear chuckling to myself. When we had our Greyhounds they’d be up as early as I’d get up. No matter the temperature or weather. We’d get ready and head off on our early walks. Now little Ava seems to know when the weather is not to her liking. It feels like -3 this morning and she hasn’t stirred.
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.

5 degrees at 4:00 am. Crazy cold.
The Blue Jays. cardinals, Junco’s and Woodpecker are enjoying the bird seed and suet.

I prepped some food to freeze for X mas dinner. House smells like our Serbian Hall Kitchen.
I wanted to do this so all I have to do is reheat stuff. Less mess and work. I’m done! Need to think about buying a few gifts.
Also need a trip to Dollar Fifty store for wrapping paper or gift bags.

Talked to Marie earlier and George is holding his own. She got another lady to come in from 11:00 pm to 6:00 to help watch him and tend to changing him, so she can get some sleep.

You all have a good day. Stay warm.

Lee: Try and rearrange the trunk space so I can hitch a ride with you guys. Ava said she’s willing to share the space! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Hello to Karen & Mike

A quick good morning on another unseasonably cold start to the day here in The Burg.
I’m off to the hospital for a scheduled appointment with my oncologist. I get blood work done yearly and see him every other year. The in between years are, provided psa levels are good, are a quick phone call. Wednesday is a follow up phone call with the cardiologist. Like Dave always said, “Gettin’ old ain’t for sissies”.
It’s nice that Marie is able to get a few hours of help to get a chance to have a bit of a rest Kathie. If we still had that big old van we’d have lots of extra room for a passenger Kathie. We all miss that vehicle.
I hope you all have a fantastic Monday.

Well, let's say it SNOWED for 1/2 hr and stopped.

Had fun watching the Blue Jays fly in to pick-up Peanuts from the feeder tray. The other birds were out in force earlier. And then I wonder why the kitchen floor isn't getting cleaned! Ha ha.

You all have a good day.

Lee: Good to get these yearly appts out of the way.

Later...........

One last thing...........

Can you believe this Deranged SICKO posted this to his social media.
He just can't control himself. And then he has the nerve to write the last sentence. Only a crazy person does something like this.1765817963632.webp

Having issues with my iPhone getting my e-mails. Just burns me BIG TIME when things with computers, passwords, etc don’t work.
The Apple Tech did more than his best to help me. But nothing worked.
Now I need to deal with Microsoft. Lord help me with that. You can never talk to a HUMAN with them.
Okay, I’ll work on that tomorrow.

With WIND-CHILL it’s 5 degrees !

Stay warm folks.

Kathie, thanks for the choir. I used to direct my HS choir and one of t he number they sang was Carol of the Bells. I always liked Charlotte Church singing Little Drummer Boy.
I'm glad George is holding his own and Marie could sure need the help she is getting.
I loved seeing the juncos, the only time we saw them was in the winter.
Lee, wearing 2 hearing aids and still have trouble understanding, it doesn't make any difference to me if it is digital or recording, Fay can tell the difference and I think my 3 kids can.
Thought you might like to know, a minus 4 tonight.

I wrote the above yesterday and did not post it. another one of my favorites is Charlotte Church singing Little Drummer Boy.
I hope your appts. went well Lee.
Are you able to get your emals yet Kathie?

Good morning.
19F here but feels like 12F. A heat wave I say! By Wednesday and Thursday we could see the upper 30’s and mid 40’s.
My appointment exceeded my hopes yesterday. Six months ago for the first time since my radiation my PSA had crept up. Still within the range for a guy my age but not what we hope for. Both the doctor and I were a little concerned. Yesterday it had dropped to .38! The second lowest level since our journey began in July 2021.
Now Kathie, this is where you and Art come into the story. I remembered what Art’s doctor had told him about cycling before his blood work. I laid off the bike for a week before my blood work this time. I related that to Dr. Yousef as I had been on the stationary bike regularly leading up to my previous test. He smiled and went in to a very medical explanation about how, yes, the cycling could indeed contribute to the level. Bottom line, THANK YOU ART!
In other news…
We had a right nasty snow storm yesterday as I headed up to the hospital. Not a lot of snow but blowing, whiteouts and nasty. Subie and I slowed down and drove “smart” but the roads sure did get nasty for a bit.
I used to be fairly proficient with electronics and computers Kathie. As the manufacturers have tried to make things easier I find I get more frustrated when the simple things, like your email, don’t work as they should. And the average person simply can’t figure out the fix.
Charlotte Church has been in the news a lot lately Mike. Mostly it seems for constantly wearing outfits that show her cleavage, not shaving “anything” (I quoted her there) and not wearing deodorants of any kind. But the lady can still sure sing.
I see a lot of mid 60’s and low 70’s in Florida’s long range forecast through January Karen. We’d appreciate if you could have them not get any cooler. How are you and the family doing?
I think I’d enjoy an early cup of coffee. Can I put one on for anyone else while I’m up?
Have the kind of day you look back on this evening and smile about.

Hey there gang.
Real Feel is 17 degrees. Brrr!

Mike: Nice video of the ladies singing.
E-mail s are still not working on this iPhone. I just haven’t got enough coffee in me to START to work on this situation. At least I can check them on my Laptop and iPad.

Lee: I will pass on your “Thanks” to Art. Amazing how much our chatter on here actually helps each other at times. I swear I share more with you folks than to my family. It was even better when the ENTIRE gang was with us. Hope they are watching over those of us left!
You are truly my extended family.

Karen; I see your area is a TAD chilly. Hope you and Barb are staying warm. I guess we all go through some sort of Winter cold. :emoticon 0115 inlove:
Do you have any Christmas concerts planned at church this year?

Out of here for now. I need to get a warmer sweatshirt on!

Lee, I would love to hear Charlotte Church sing but I don;t know if I want to be in the same room as her What I have read on her, she has turned into quite a character
It has been a while since I have had a psa test but I do remember it as being within a good range.

Kathie, I hope your email is working now. It is good you can get it on other devices.
A very nice arrangement of White Christmas is by the drifters. It is different but nice.

Not much new here so far this morning. The weather is above freezing as I peck away at the keyboard. We could see 43F by mid afternoon. I may get the grass cut. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
It’s hard to figure out what to wear these days Kathie. I seem to feel the cold more than I used to. By the same token too heavy a shirt or sweater and I get too warm.
The Drifters version of White Christmas has been used in a number of tv shows and commercials over the years Mike. Likely because it is such an enjoyable and different take on a classic tune!
With cooler temps in FL Karen, watch out for falling iguanas!
Lu-Ann and I popped up to the one big mall in Windsor yesterday. We got a good parking spot and once inside felt lonely. A tad over a week before Christmas and there were very few shoppers wandering the aisles. I really think brick and mortar shopping has been hugely impacted by online shopping. Sad in many ways.
I’m hoping to get Lu-Ann, Ava and I down to The Navy Yard today for one of our walks. I suspect Lu-Ann’s squirrel chums have missed her and her peanuts.
Have a great day everyone!

QUICK Good Morning Wrabbits! 3F here right now. HEAT WAVE! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

We're off to the SKIN doctor for Art and I want to see if the nice doctor can ZAP OFF a skin tag that bugs me.

You all behave.

I made a bread late last night and I must say it was SO GOOD. Both Art and I had to have a piece even though it was late.

Nothin’ like a piece of fresh bread slathered with butter Kathie! No matter the time of day.

Good afternoon! Just got home from Christmas caroling again to some of our shut in's. Barb is off on her first driving adventure since July! She bought some lunch & went to eat at a nearby park. Her Dr. visit yesterday was very good, she is now OFF the wound vac and only needs to keep a light bandage on the wound until it completly closes, which the dr. said should be within a week or 2. So very thankful for all the prayers on her behalf!
Just heard the garage door open so will go see how she did, later all!

Yippee
Excited Pink GIF

Karen: Good to hear a positive report on Barb. And nice to hear that your group sang to a few more shut-in’s.

Art & I had a Dermo appt earlier this morning. Art got a piece of skin removed from his head—-AGAIN! And had a few areas zapped. I got a “tag skin” on my neck removed and a few areas on my face zapped. Always something. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

We got to go and visit George & Marie today. We took her some food we got from an Italian store that makes Quiche and Shepards Pie and a Pannatone bread. She loved all of the food.
George is still holding his own. Still very alert and talkative.
It was a good visit.

The 47 degree temps today makes it feel like a HEAT WAVE
hit us. I was able to chop up the ICE on the curb area and by the sewer drain. It’s already half melted.

Later all.

Yes, great news about Barb’s progress Karen. I hope her little drive was a good one.
It sounds like a nice visit with George and Marie Kathie. Good food makes everything seem a little better. It was 44F here when we went to The Navy Yard. But it was still darned cool by the water. We were surprised how much ice, thick ice, was in the river.
Hi Mike.
