Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

A big smile crossed my face this morning when I read your update Mike. Thank you. Hugs and best wishes to both you and Fay.
I must admit to having a tough emotional time recounting tales of this group to Pam and Steve. I think it was then that they realized how important you all are to me. I already knew.

We also had a really nice chat with Howard and Fatima. Kathie, would you believe that Howard is 79 and still going strong at his business (Gil Manufacturing) and True Blue! Fatima takes care of True Blue and the books for both businesses. One thing we did talk about, civilly, was politics in both The US and Canada. We agreed that some things going on are simply wrong but at the end of the day the six of us sitting in that winery are all people from different backgrounds, states and provinces who had become friends. And that is a bond stronger than politics.
Are you headed off to pick up your bowl today Kathie? Be careful out there! I’m learning to recognize the difference between frozen armadillos and speed bumps. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
I hope that you get your beloved pickup back soon Karen. Above all I hope the repair shop does it right! How’s Barb doing after a week getting back into her routine?
There may be a trip to Blaze Pizza at The Springs in the cards for lunch today.
You all have a fantastic day.

“Lonely. I’m Mr. Lonely”
Have a nice Sunday.

Lee: Sorry you were left alone in the Hutch!
I’d like to say I did a lot of fun things, but I really only had fun playing with Manny after my food proc bowl pick up.
Hope the temps have gone up for you guys!
It sounds like you had a nice time at lunch with your friends! I bet the wine and sandwich was good. Were there many customers there?

I really thought I posted about all that. I might have and it went into cyberspace!

Michigan is going into a DEEP FREEZE the next week or more! Weather folks are calling for temps BELOW ZERO on and off!
I swear if I ever win the Big Lotto the first thing I would do is buy a house somewhere warm. I’m thinking somewhere out of the USA! 6 months there and 6 months here! Ha ha.
Who am I kidding! I’m too old for doing something like that. Not that much time left in life to make that work!

Karen: If you’re reading along what have you been up to now that you have your house to yourself? Do you hear from your “guy” friends in the sub. I can never remember their names. And how’s the little older lady that you do landscape work for these days?
Hope your SORE MUSCLES are doing better. Any idea how long it will take to get your truck fixed and back to you?

Mike how are you and Fay doing? Please be very careful walking around the house when you are there alone. Have the cell phone in your pocket nice and handy in case you need it.

Have a good Sunday all.

Chicago Bears big football game today.

Sorry you were left alone in the Hutch!
It gave me a chance to do some cleaning without tripping over the rest of you. Sitting outside by the pool right now. It’s 72F but supposed to drop when the rain comes in around noon.
Be good folks.

Fay has been moved for PT. I really goofed up, when Fay fell I tried to pick her up and I Think I did a lot of damage on my hip that was operated on about 9 years back. I can barely move so I have been staying in bed all day. I will give it another 2-3 days then I will make a decision. sorry for the very short notes, take care

Made a good dinner from 1/2 # of grd beef and additives. Ended up with Salisbury Steak in mushroom gravy. The fresh sweet potato mash and green beans made it actually good. We usually don't eat a big meal on Sunday night.

Lee/Lu-Ann: Get your blankets ready for tonight and through the night. Take a later walk with Ava on Monday morning. Going to be in the low 40's. But I'm sure you know that.

Watched a good football game with the New England Pat's. Bill would have enjoyed it.

Off to watch the Chicago BEARS now. These early playoffs are really good since both teams are in the running because they worked hard to get there. (did that make any sense?)

Mike .... Karen hope you are both doing well. And of course FAY.

I think you did what we would all do Mike. You put Fay ahead of yourself. Hopefully your hip pain can be resolved easily. Please take it as easy as you can. Thank you for keeping us in the loop.
I thought The Bills and Broncos game was a dandy one Kathie. Hard to see “my team” lose in OT. Ava has her own little schedule but she’s smart enough to cut her walks short if it’s cold or wet.
Bundle up Karen. There’s another cold front a comin’.
Have a good evening folks.

Good evening, No sunshine today in the Sunshine state for sure!

Mike, sorry to hear you hurt your hip helping Fay, hopefully it's not serious. Good to hear Fay is getting great care!

Kathie, you asked about choir practice, yes, we have choir practice every Thurs evening that last anywhere from 45-90 mins. depending on how long it takes us to learn the music. Since Mary has been leading the choir we are mostly doing hymms & worship music that we all know so the practice's don't run quite as long.

Lee, looks like a fine time was had at True Blue, I've never made it to the winery but did enjoy some of the Crazy Good wine at the Bunny gathering at Pat's several years ago.

The insurance company say's it should only take 6 days to repair my truck, but I haven't heard from the repair shop yet if it's even arrived there yet.

Today was the annual meeting for St. Mary's so we only had 1 church service at 9 am & then the meeting followed. 3 new people were elected to the Vestry & a new Junior Warden was chosen, Me! The junior warden is responsible to seeing to the upkeep & maintenance of the church building & property. They don't have to "do" the work themselves but need to make arrangements when work is needed. The outgoing Jr. warden has a monthly check list for me as well as a list of contractors the church uses, she also said she would help me until I get comfortable with the position. Not sure how I get myself talked into these things but Rev. Lisa seemed pretty confident I could handle the job so I'll do my best

Barb seems to be settling back into a home routine now, I picked up burgers for us today after church and took them when I went there to change her dressing. I'm thankful home health is still coming Mon, Wed & Fri so I don't have to go every day like I did before she had insurance.
Remember no banks or mail delivery tomorrow due to the holiday. And STAY WARM!!!

Congratulations “Warden”. If I know you Karen. You don’t HAVE to do the work, but…
It wasn’t as windy this morning as it was the other morning so Ava and I didn’t feel quite as cold on our walk.
So, I guess it’s The Patriots and Seahawks for The Super Bowl? We’ll know if my guess is right next week at this time.
How you doin’ Mike?
As Karen mentioned, with it being Martin Luther King Day any government related things are closed. That could make it busier at some locations. Traffic? It seems it’s always busy.
The lawncare crew has just pulled up. The community seems to switch companies every year. That must be a very competitive business. Like the pool maintenance companies.
Anyway, you all have a great day.

WOW.... Karen thanks for the REMINDER about it being Martin Luther King day today! Seems it always SNOWS on this day and it's doing a good job right now at 10:00 am. Winds going up to 40mph.

WARDEN KAREN!! Congrats. :clap002: I can see you fixing things. The word DELIGATE is important to remember! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: You'll do just fine!

Good to know Barb is getting along at her house. Nice you can help with the dressings.

Lee: Nice to know you and Ava were able to get out for a walk. The weather should be getting warmer down there soon.
What's on your agenda for today?

Mike: Still have you and Fay in my prayers and thoughts. Hope things are going smoothly with FAY getting better. Tell her I said "HELLO".

Nothing else happening on here so far. Good day to do some cleaning around here.

USELESS INFORMATION below: Skip if you don't want to be bored with my chatter! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:
I'm on HOLD at one of my doctors offices and I'm called #1 finally in the CUE. I was 7. I think I have been on hold for 38 mins according to my phone display. CRAZY. All I have is a simple question. I'm not giving up now that I'm caller #1. Ha Ha.

Good morning from COLD but Sunny Belleview! Lots of frost on the roof tops & grass this morning. Hoping it will warm up a bit this afternoon.

Kathie, good luck on the phone call, I like when they give you the option to have them call back, better than sitting there not able to do anything. Or worse yet, get disconnected before anyone picks up

Lee, you know me pretty well, lol! But I'm going to try my best to not take on projects unless it's something super simple that I know I can do.

Hi Mike! How's the hip feeling today?

Still no word from the repair shop, if I don't hear anything today I will give them a call tomorrow.
I think it's time for another cup of coffee to try & warm up a little. Enjoy the day all!

Repair shop called earlier, they have my truck. Went & signed all the paperwork to get it fixed, now just have to wait & see if they find anything wrong the insurance company missed.

With the cooler weather and MLK Day we didn’t want to get into any outdoor activities Kathie. We headed to Whole Foods and Trader Joes for a little different variety in the grocery department. Can you believe not a single bottle of Two Buck Chuck (now $4.49) made it into our cart!
Did you see the massive 100+ vehicle pileup on Michigan’s I-196? Blowing snow and ice are being blamed. I say blame the drivers who don’t drive for the conditions.
Hey, that’s great news about your little truck Karen. Another week or so and it should be back in your driveway. It’s rocketed up to 60F here but a cool breeze has blown in as well.
Why yes, I do believe Lu-Ann and I will be having a glass of wine. Care to join us?

FYI: Our dear George passed away this afternoon. May he RIP.
Marie said he went peacefully in the bed with her at his side.
She's such a strong woman to tell me all this in a calm way.
On a better note.....Marie said: " You'll be happy to know the last thing George ate was your Rice Pudding." Now that really put me over the edge.
Funeral home is on it's way to the house. And as per his request he will only be laid out in Church most likely on Thursday.

Thanks for all your prayers and concerns about our dear friend. You all know it was all appreciated.

Later gang. Hold up the Hutch please I'll be in and out here for the next few days.

(Made a Apple Coffee Cake around 2:00 pm and will still take some over to Marie and her family.) All the time I was mixing that cake I was thinking of George. Fate has it's way of showing up.

I’m so very sorry to hear of George’s passing Kathie. Warm thoughts and prayers to you and of course to Marie and family.

Shhhh.... it's early. I'm off to a early morning appt. Leaving lots of time for traffic.
It's -10 Wind Chill and 3 degrees out there at 6:38 a.m. Crazy Polar Vortex. Only to get worse later on.

Thanks for caring so much. Much appreciated. :emoticon 0152 heart:

Good Tuesday morning folks.
I know you’ll be in and out over the next few days Kathie but please be careful. I know you have things on your mind that may be distracting.

Funny you would drop by on your way out as I was typing Kathie. It’s 40F feeling like 42F. Home is 3F feeling like -11F. Can’t say I miss that!

Florida homes sure aren’t insulated like our Ontario home Karen. Hopefully your furnace has been able to keep up with the cold snap.
How’s that hip feeling Mike? Both you and Fay get feeling better, OK?
You all have a good day.

Mike, I’m so glad to hear you got your pain meds sorted out—nothing ruins the holidays like being uncomfortable. That family gathering sounds like it was a wonderful houseful! It's a shame about the decorations in the neighborhood, but I think we’ve all earned the right to skip the ladders this year.

Lee, you’re a braver soul than me hitting Walmart the week of Christmas! Good call on the bulk store for the small stuff; I always end up buying way more than I need otherwise. Your Cajun salmon sounds delicious—we might have to try that to change things up.

Kathie, take a deep breath! The house doesn't have to be perfect for the kids to have a good time. Just keep whatever hair you have left!

It's definitely feeling more like April than December with these temps. I'm just enjoying the easy driving while it lasts before that 'nasty weather' Lee mentioned finally finds us.
