Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

just a few lines to let everyone know Fay has much improved by Tue. and hoping she has continued to get better over the night. Linda will be taking me to the h ospital soon.
Have a good day.

Thank you for the update Mike. Continued good thoughts and prayers to you all.
The comedic side of me wants to say “they dug in to Art’s head and found nothing”. It’s 69F here with a bit of a breeze. At home we’d be outdoors and loving it. Both my sweetie and I are saying we feel cold. How quickly we acclimate to our surroundings.

:emoticon 0115 inlove:Mike: Thanks for the update on Fay. I’m sure she will be happy to see you. Hope you wear your MASK IN THE HOSP. That FLU bug is everywhere.

Lee; We had NO SNOW ON THE LAWNS OR SIDEWALKS ETC.
Moving forward;
We now have at least 1 in chart of snow, with more still coming down at a good clip!
Amazing how quick things changes.
It’s 24F w/wind chill of 16F.
This morning it was 40F.

You and Lu-Ann need to find the HEATER SWITCH. Your temp will be dropping into the 50’. If it’s of any consequence our temp will be close to ZERO starting Thurs!

Art found out he does have some GREY MATTER left in his head. Haha.

Chicken cooked in Dutch oven with veggies. I’ve started it early this afternoon and cooked it nice and slow. Smells good.

The snow is really coming down!

Ducks love it!

Thursday night into Friday morning we could see 32F here Kathie. I wouldn’t be surprised if Karen dips even lower. Friends from home sent us pictures that look pretty much the same as your snow shots.
That chicken dish sounds fantastic!

Wind picking up!
So far 2+ inches of snow and still coming down.

Karen: How are you doing tonight? What did they give are you for a rental?
Hope you’re not too sore.

Dinner was good and over by 6:05pm. Took over 3 1/2 hours to cook on the stove and gone in a flash. I made a batch of Rice pudding in hopes of taking some over to George & Marie. Well, that will have to wait until tomorrow!

I have a 11:00 a.m. Thurs pick-up for a replacement bowl for my food processor. Took forever to find someone not too far away from here that had one to fit my decades old Food Proc. Art had glued the outside of my cracked bowl a few times and I looked to order a new one and they cost close to as much as a whole new unit.
Hope the road will be okay to pick it up.
Nice I don’t have to pay for shipping.

Have a cozy warm night Wrabbits!

Just got back from the hospital, Fay has a clot in her lungs and the hopital is usiing a clot buster to clear it up. Linda will be taking me back in tomorrow.
Have a good night.

Please be careful if you do go out and about tomorrow Kathie. Yes, typically dinner takes ages to prepare and it’s over in a matter of minutes.
Good that the doctors caught that clot and can take care of things for Fay Mike. I appreciate you taking the time to let us know how things are going. How are YOU doing?
G’nite friends.

Mike: Good the Doctors found that lung blood clot. Did Fay have any symptoms of anything going on with her lungs? Hard to breathe etc. etc.
Just glad it was found. Hope you are doing well on your own!

We hog enough snow, that Ed came and cleared it around 10:30 pm. :clap002:

Karen: How are your muscles and bruises doing today. I bet you’re sore. Also. the stress and inconvenience of either getting your truck fixed or looking for a replacement can be an added PAIN. Hope it works out quickly for you.

Lee: Get your long slacks on!

You don’t want to look like a tourist if it’s cold out! :emoticon 0140 rofl:

Not much new since last night.
A little drizzle this morning so Ava and I didn’t go too far. She’s a bright little thing. She did her business quickly, we walked to the pet waste bin and back home.
Have a good Thursday!

Shhh…..I’ll be quiet. Just can’t sleep.

Florida is going to be in the low 30’s! OUCH! Hopefully, it will warm up again soon.

I think I can’t sleep because I took some Rice Pudding I made to George & Marie and George was looking poorly since my last visit :(
He was actually sitting in the kitchen with a blanket over his head and shoulders because he’s cold most of the time due to poor
circulation. As I talked to him he would be dozing off. It’s obvious that he’s slowing down. All of this is taking a toll on Marie. She has help to be with him through the night so she can try and get some sleep. And a person that helps with his needs early mornings through 1:00 pm. It’s just plain old tough.

Thanks for being here and letting me vent.
You all are the BEST.
Off to get some sleep.

I know it’s really COLD outside because the deck boards are making the “Snapping Noise”!

Hope everyone has had a good day.
Time to pull out the winter clothes again. Yep, long pants and snowshoes.
Good night everyone.

I’m sorry the above post is out of order. I tried posting it last evening but it just sat here. This morning, POOF, off it goes.
Hearing how your visit with George and Marie went Kathie, I can understand how that would play on your mind. You are a caring person and watching others have a tough go is bothersome and would effect your sleep too.
Did you get your food processor bowl yesterday?
Mike, both Lu-Ann and I are hoping Fay responded well to the clot busters. I admit to having to look that up.
And how about you Karen? How are you feeling? How goes the dealings with the insurance company? There, three questions. I think that’s all I’m allowed.
Remember Pat’s True Blue Winery? Even though Pat is gone we go at least once every year. Today’s the day. Heck, with the temperature anything inside is a good idea. We’re meeting friends there and you can bet we’ll have owners Howard and Fatima mix us up a batch of “Crazy Good” so we can raise a glass to Momma Bunny.
At 33F I may just brew an early coffee. Anyone else up and care to join me?
You all have a great day friends.

Good morning!

Mike, will keep Fay in my prayers that the doctor's can figure out everything that's going on & get her back on her feet asap! Take care of yourself too!

Kathie, so sorry to hear George is declining, it's never easy watching the people we care about just seem to fade away.

Lee, I would like apologize on behalf of the state of Florida for this cold weather you are having to endure! On the bright side there is NO Snow to shovel and with any luck the temps will be back to normal soon.

The insurance company so far has been pretty on top of things & in keeping me informed. They did not total my truck which kind of surprised me, the bad news is I have a $2,000 deductible so insurance is only paying $421 of the $2,421 cost to fix it. I raised my deductible last year to try & save money because my insurance had gotten so expensive so it is what it is.
The only pain I'm having is the muscles in my chest hurt, probably from the seat belt, extra strenght tylenol helps with that, so all things considered I'm doing ok.
I have a Toyota camry for a rental car, it's a hybrid and it's sooooo quiet I feel like I'm riding around in a golf cart instead of a car. I do miss being up higher though and will be glad to get my little truck back!

Still getting used to having the house to myself again, especially like last night coming home from choir practice, Barb would always ask how practice went & how many people were there. All things considered I enjoyed having her here more than I thought I would, NOT enough to consider making it a permanent arrangement though:rolleyes:

That's about all I have to add for today, have a great day all & stay warm!

So Karen, how did choir practice go and how many people were there? ;) When we got Subie we missed sitting up higher too. Glad you don’t have too many aches and pains. Don’t worry about the weather. Compared to what is going on at home this is just fine. The only thing to shovel here are the falling iguanas off the sidewalks.
We all just came back from about a mile and a half walk. I was proud of Lu-Ann for wanting to go that far.
I best start getting ready to go to True Blue. I’ve got a hankerin’ for a glass of Crazy Good and a Cuban Sandwich.

Good "freezing" Morning Wrabbits! Stay in the HUTCH. That goes for Florida too! Yikes, hard to believe it would get into the 30's in Florida.

Karen: Hope your chest soreness goes away soon. If not get it checked out with an X-Ray. Bummer on the high deductible. How long will it take to get your truck back? It must be hard to drive in a lower car when you're used to being higher. Just be careful.
Do you folks have choir practice every week? I must say that when I can catch the LIVE FEED from your church you folks sound really good.
Put the TV or Radio on to take up the SILENCE in your house with Barb being gone. Just 'don't' talk to yourself! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Mike: Hope things are getting better with Fay's blood clot. Any idea when she might come home? Take care buddy.

Lee: Raise a glass or two of that "Crazy Good" for me too.
Red Wine Drink GIF by Zieher

Nice way to remember our BB!! She was the best with all her great stories of what she was shopping for and cooking. All expensive seafoods and meats from what I remember.
Not sure they ever had Hot Dogs. :emoticon 0136 giggle:
I did not go and get the food processor bowl. Going on Saturday. Just didn't want to take a chance in the snow. Some of the roads I had to be on were ones that aren't travelled a lot and would be questionable.

I slept in this morning. DUH.... after not being able to sleep last night.

We have the Utility companies outside walking up and down spraying the SNOW orange or red marking where their lines are.
They started this project in November and had flags and dug up holes looking for different underground utilities and I didn't think we would see them back until the thaw in Spring. Feel really bad for the guy walking up and down having to do the markings. I just wonder if that paint will sink into the ground after it melts and they will still be able to see what they marked. Seems a little crazy unless they plan on digging in this freezing cold weather soon.
More to come on that story later.

Out of here for now. Going to get a cup of that COFFEE that Lee offered.

Take care folks. There's not too many of us left in the HUTCH and I really pray we're all SAFE and HEALTHY for a long time. :emoticon 0115 inlove:

Good Friday afternoon.
These are our friends Pam and Steve. They live in a Del Webb community not far from True Blue. Hearing the story about how Momma Bunny introduced us to True Blue and how much we cared about her they joined us in a toast. Lu-Ann and I shared a quiet toast to all of the rest of the gang who have passed. The second bottle had a toast to you in it Kathie. As well as to Mike and Karen.
Glad that you stayed in and didn’t attempt the roads. That bowl will wait a couple of days.
Funny you mentioned hot dogs. I think that’s what is on tap for us this evening.
Have a lovely evening everyone.

Well Done Good Job GIF
The picture brings back memories of sitting at those tables and the bar and enjoy a lot of the HUTCH GANG! Those were the days. You and your friends look like you're enjoying the wine. Ha Ha.

Got a little snow shower earlier. Temps are dropping from the 30 mark now.
Thursday's on TV are pretty good with a few series we keep up with that have started back up.

You all take care. That goes double for you MIKE!! Hello to FAY.

SAW THIS EARLIER and FORGOT TO POST IT. Love it.
If you recall “smoking” candy cigarettes and drinking from wax Coke bottles, you know you had the most memorable childhood.

Got home a few minutes ago. I am very happy with the care Fay is getting. As we were leaving the hospital I told 3 or 4 of the nurses how happy with the care they are giving Fay. Fay is still improving but still too weak to do much therapy.
It will be weeks before Fay comes home Kathie. Good for you for staying off the roads.
Thanks for the toast Lee. I hope it wams up for you, it is cold here and a light dusting of snow. I hope you enjoyed the True Blue.
Karen, hope your pain eases up. I also liked to drive my large pick up truck years ago because it sat up so high. I sold it, missed it and bought a small pick up. Pattie got her dog because she didn't like coming home to an empty house.
Have a good night.

MIKE: THANKS FOR THE GREAT UPDATE ABOUT FAY! Good to know she is getting excellent care. Do they do Therapy/Rehab right in the hospital or does she have to go to a separate facility?
I’m sure your kids are taking good care of you. Take care.

Watching a Basketball game right now. NOTHING on TV on Fridays. :(

Lee: Watch out for any fallen Armadillos on your cool morning walks the next few days! ;)
Good nite.
