Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Happy to hear that Lee is out of surgery and now on the road to healing. To him, once he awoke yesterday, Sunday was just a quick blur.

Thanks so much K2 for passing along all of Lu-Ann's updates on Lee. That's so interesting that your comments showed up on your virtual church service.

Bill; Happy to read that you and Rita came out of that accident in better shape than your car did.

A soggy doggy day yesterday for you, KC & BB.

Not much else I've got to gab about this morning. Stay safe, and just keep wearing those masks.

Good Morning Wrabbits.
Cloudy here. Suppose to rain.
No UPDATES on LEE yet!
I’d hate to be him today! Ouch!

I have nothing for you guys this morning. I didn’t sleep worth a darn last night. If I didn’t know better I would attribute it to “anxiety”! Gotta stop over/thinking everything going on around me during these COVID times. I actually had a vivid dream about a dear friend who was chastising me (clear as a bell) for not going to the wedding reception of her Grandson in early May! Funny part of this is she passed away at least 5 years ago!
A good reason to stop worrying about what others think about my decisions these days!
I’ll be back later if I get any updates from Lu-Ann.

I’m NOT going to bug her. She has enough to be concerned with taking care of 3 dogs and herself.

Good morning! Nice to know our rains are over for a few days. It really was a crappy day here yesterday. Karen - did you see all the hail they had just outside of Orlando? It almost covered the ground at one point!!

Kathie - You need to chill, lady! Stop overthinking everything and just go with the flow. You don't have to stay on top of everything. Otherwise, you're going to make yourself sick and that won't be a good thing for anyone. Lecture over!!

Well, that's it for me too from here. Guess we're all running low on news this morning and that's a good thing You know what they say about no news is good news. I'll be back later to check how everyone is doing here in the hutch while still keeping Lee in my prayers. :)

Checking in from Belleview...

Pat, I missed the hail report near Orlando...but I know there was a lot of it going on yesterday...none here thank goodness...just a lot of rain!!
Kathie, I know it's tough being a germ a phobe even in the best of times..this covid has got to really be kicking your anxiety into high gear...but Pat is right...you got to let go of some of the stuff & just chill...maybe a nice Roadhouse drink is in order for tonite...

Not much happening around here either...Buddy did good over the weekend with be able to go on his own....this morning he doesn't seem to be doing as much...I'm hoping that he is just finally relaxing & not feeling like he "has" to go all the time...always something...
Supposed to go over to Barb's this afternoon to get the rest of the floor prepped & ready to start tomorrow...out of here for now

Hi again gang.
Pat & Karen: You gals are so correct with your advise to CHILL OUT and slow down. Thanks friends. I’ll try harder ...promise.
Good News 80S GIF

Lu-Ann sent us all a update just now.

So it looks like our Boy is doing good so far!

Karen: Sure hope Buddy is going to be okay as far as his peeing goes. It has to be hard to keep a eye on that situation. But you’re getting to be a expert after having Kitties for so long. You’re a fantastic Kitti Mom!

Dark and RAINING here right now.

Good Morning GANG! I think this HUTCH can use a GOOD LAUGH to start the day. Here it is:

MORNING CHUCKLE....
Leaving the Store, I couldn't find my Keys. They weren't in my pockets. Suddenly I realized I must have left them in the car. Frantically, I headed for the parking lot. My husband has scolded me many times for leaving my keys in the car's ignition. He's afraid that the car could be stolen.
As I looked around the parking lot, I realized he was right. The parking lot was empty. I immediately called the police. I gav...e them my location, confessed that I had left my keys in the car, and that it had been stolen.
Then, I made the most difficult call of all to my husband: "I left my keys in the car and it's been stolen."
There was a moment of silence. I thought the call had been disconnected, but then I heard his voice. "Are you kidding me?" he barked, "I dropped you off!"
Now it was my turn to be silent. Embarrassed, I said, "Well, come and get me."
He retorted, "I will; just as soon as I convince this cop that I didn't steal your damn car!"
Welcome to the golden years...

I'm still laughing over this one! :lol04:

Good Tuesday morning Wabbits!

So Lee, have you named that pillow that you hold against your chest yet?

Here's one for you my friend.

Thanks again for his updates K2. KC mentioned that you might have a nice Roadhouse drink last night to help you chill out. Screw that idea, you should have had one for lunch. And another one for desert. Great story about "misplacing" a car.

Should be mostly sunny and in the mid 60's today. Hope the weather dries out for you Floridians.

We're heading out a bit early this morning. Seeing my neck surgeon at 8:45 to get the bandage off of it. Hope he also cuts back on my restrictions.

Good morning, gang! I hope your day is off to a good start. It's going to be a beautiful day around here with temps pushing close to 90. I see reading on the lanai in my future. After we get home, that is. We need to stop at Osceola Arts and change our seats for the show on Friday night, plus make a trip to Sam's to pick up frozen shrimp and possibly a few more things, like wine!! ;) Elaine likes wine too, so the supply goes down rapidly the more we see of them.

Kathy - Cute joke this morning. So are you chilling? I sure hope so.

Dave - I'm sure by now you've had your visit with the doctor and hopefully got the bandages off. If you're a good boy, you might even be allowed to drive the car again! I know that's something you want to be able to do.

Karen - How's that floor work at Barb's coming alone. Don't overdo it and take some breaks, as you go along.

Lee - Thinking about you this morning and hope you're getting better each & every day. Can't wait to see a post directly from you. Then we'll know you're really on the road to recovery.

So if I want to get outside later, I better get a move on and get ready to go out. Take care, everyone, and behave yourselves doing all the things you know you are supposed to do! :)

Good AFTERNOON Hutch Mates! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Latest message from Lu-Ann: See below!

Just spoke with Lee’s nurse. She says he’s doing great. He’s off oxygen, he sat up to eat breakfast and went for a short walk. She’s very pleased.

Sounds like Lee is moving along and should be home soon.
Lu-Ann did say that her new neighbors are ALL helping her out. She couldn't have better neighbors. They cut the grass and today are going to put out the Patio furniture for her. Some needs to be put together and they're doing that too. I'm so happy she is getting SO MUCH SUPPORT. I'm sure it helps take the stress off of LEE as well knowing his Sweetie is being taken care of so well while he's in the hospital.

Oh what a STORY LEE will have to tell us when he finally gets home and feels like posting.

DAVE: Hope you are off some of your restrictions. Just don't be doing too much head turning!
Loved the video.....are you saying that we are all FRUITCAKES! LOL :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Pat: You sound like you have a full and fun day planned. Nice to know you're getting out and about.

Karen: How's Buddy today? Hope things are good and you don't have to take him back to the Vet's. We'll have to start a GoFundMe acct if you do.

Bill/Rita: Any updates on getting a new car? Hope your bruises and aches and pains are better today. Keep in touch.

Got my bills paid online and need to record them in the checkbook registry. It's still COLD here even though it's SUNNY outside. Can't wait until the 70's come back again. That was a treat for a couple of weeks! :sunflower:

Life is GOOD! Off to get a fresh made cup of coffee! The RoadHouse coffee will have to wait until later tonight! Yup.....I'm chilling....in more ways than one. Brrrr.

4:10pm.
Worked around the side of the garage area turning the strip of dirt between the walkway and brick garage. That would be a meer 2ft x 15ft strip.
Last year I had nice Petunias planted in there and the Rabbit that lives in the next door neighbors shrubs decided it was his FRESH FOOD GROCERY AREA. Picked and ate the color Petunia he liked and made a mess of the plants.
So this year I'm planting Purple Iris's. The lady that is selling pots of them on the Facebook SWAP page not far from our house says the deer and rabbits don't like the Iris's. I plan on making a border of them against the brick wall of the garage. These BULB type plants tend to spread so if they do it will really look nice for a few months and then there will just be nice spikes of green foliage. They die down on their own in the FALL and then can get cut back.

I'll plant some MARIGOLDS in front of them to make sure the Rabbit doesn't eat them. They don't like Marigolds. And Marigolds seem to grow well in almost any area.

Drove to the City offices and paid our Water Bill. Not a SOUL was inside the building except the one lady that takes your temp and asks you the 5 questions and takes your name. The ladies that work behind the glass were all on their Cell Phones and one put her's down and came and took my check. I didn't need a receipt so I avoided any contact. The place was like a tome. I could have used the drop-box, but I wanted to see just what was going on inside these days. No contractors at the Building & Zoning Area on that level. Not sure but looking up into the second floor it looked empty at the TAX CLERKS area.

Drove over to Costco's to get a container of PREEN to spread around the flower beds that are just dirt now to KEEP THE WEEDS FROM coming up. That stuff really works great.

Costco was OUT of that for now. Lady said they have more coming "soon". DUH!! No idea when SOON was.
Walked right out after that. Must have taken me 2 mins total of being in that store. Whew.

It was nice to dig and turn the dirt over in that flower garden area.
Back In Time For Dinner Sigh GIF by ABC TV + IVIEW

Ha Ha.....I didn't dig THAT much dirt folks!

Have a good evening gang. Too quiet on here.

Time for dinner around here and then settle down for the evening. I am so tired and it's barely 7 o'clock!! Night, night from Kissimmee. I''ll see you call tomorrow. Sleep well, bunnies! :sleep002: :couple1::)

Nite from Macomb. We had a REAL rather big Bunny in our yard at dinner time. Cute, but he will eat all my nice flowers......so NOT SO CUTE! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Hello there hutch-mates! And happy Hump-Day!

This morning we'll be humping our way over to Salem, Ohio to get our second Moderna Covid 19 vaccination shot. About an hour 15 minutes away. So in 2 weeks when it takes full effect we'll be fully vaccinated and can return to licking elevator buttons.

So how's it going in that London horsepiddle Lee? Now that you're being given real food, is it any good?

Yes, BB I'm allowed to drive again, and lift up to 20 pounds. When the bandages came off of my neck I was pleasantly surprised to see that the scar isn't going to be as wide as we expected. Still long though. Hell, it'll better blend into all my wrinkles. You weren't the only one who was very tired very early last night. Kathi went to bed around 7:30.

Yup K2, there's a bit of fruitcake in all of us. You're getting to be quite the Mrs. Green Jeans with all your landscaping. You are so right that Lee & Lu-Ann have some fantastic new neighbors.

How's that floor coming along KC?

Time now to have a light breakfast before we start our trip. Not much to eat and not much to drink. I'm not keen on using public restrooms. I like home-field advantage.

Good Morning Earthling's! Bright, Sunny, but still NIPPY outside.

DAVE: Nice to know you & Kathi will be fully "Charged w/Covid vaccine" today! Oh the joys of trying to stay alive in this crazy world. Not like we don't have enough other reason worry about these days! Hope the ride was a smooth one!

Not much on board here today.
The new Lawn Fertilizer company came by this morning and put on Liquid Weed killer and granular Fertilizer. Even left us a print-out of how many pounds and how many gallons of each they used! Modern technology is amazing.

Need to remember to pick up my new Iris plants. I cased out where the lady lives and it's 1 mile from our house in the middle of a neighborhood. So I'm thinking she has TONS of these Iris's and "THINS" them out and puts them in containers and sells them on the Neighborhood Swap page. By the size of the houses in her neighborhood it doesn't look like she's doing it for a second income! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Lee: If you're able to read along I sure hope you're having a GOOD morning and are not in too much discomfort. Funny how things go: In order to make you 'better' they first make you feel like you've been run through the old fashion RINGER WASHING MACHINE. Remember those things! Know that you're missed in the Hutch and we look forward to the day you come back. For now, just worry about getting better!

Karen: I hope the flooring job worked out for you. You are truly amazing to be able to take on all these jobs. Kudo's to you girl!

I'm out of here for now. Enjoy your day.
Wednesday Hump Day GIF by swerk

But then everyday is a WEEKEND for us retired folks. LOL

Good morning, y'all! Another beautiful day in this neighborhood is in progress.

Karen - I hope you're getting a chance to spend some time outside and not working on the floor all day. Time enough to finish Barb's floor when the rains come calling oncew again.

Dave - How'd you make out getting your shots? A lot of people are getting their second shots this week, including G&E and a number of our friends and neighbors.
I think I'm even more tired today. I went to bed around midnight, after a short snooze watching TV. I woke up around 3 AM and was awake until 6 before finally falling back to sleep. The %@&# alarm clock went off at 8 and woke me up. I would have loved to sleep in, or at least give it a try. Only reason the alarm went off was because Bert had to get up early to go to the dermatologist to get more spots burned off.

Kathi - So how many iris plants are you looking to put in? I hope they do the trick for you to keep the critters out of the flowers. Hopefully, they won't just stomp them down to get to what they really want to munch on.

Lee - I hope you get a chance to read along with us here, even if you're not up to posting yet. You know we will all let out a cheer when you're back with us again. The hutch is a lonely place when someone is missing for too long.

I see by the clock that it's almost time for me to get lunch started. I promised Bert BLTs today made with one of his home grown beefsteak tomatoes. Then I have to figure out what all I'm making with our filet dinners tonight. I know there will be peppers, onions & mushrooms and a baked sweet potato. I still need to decide on something else - either a veggie or some king crab that Bert keeps reminding me we have in the freezer. Guess I should ask him what he wants and take it from there. I bet he says the king crab!!

Have a wonderful hump day, everyone. Stay safe and start planning places you want to go to once your second shots have kicked in!! :)

Hi PAT....your dinner sounds yummy!
I sent the nice lady a TEXT and said I would NOT be buying her Iris's.
After doing some research, which I should have done before getting the ladies hopes up of selling her Iris's, I realized the plants would be doomed in the area I wanted to put them. NO SUN. And from what I've read Iris's need FULL SUN. Well, so much for that idea. Hope it didn't upset the nice lady too much. I feel so bad for backing out.

I'm on here right now because I wanted to PRINT OFF a address on a simple ENVELOPE.
Well, it took a while to figure out how to do it with this new Microsoft program but I did it. Oh how I miss my outdated Microsoft 7 program! LOL. I'll be long gone before I figure out how this new program really works. Way too much to learn.

Later..........
