Good Wednesday morning.
A fine start to a day that is supposed to see it feel in the mid 90’s. Which makes it a good day for friends from PD dancing to pop over for a visit and a little wine and cheese this afternoon.
Tonight is supposed to be one of the brightest “Strawberry Moons” in ages. I hope it’s clear where you all are and we all get to see it.
In the meanwhile, you all have a wonderful day.

Thanks for the heads up on the Strawberry Moon Lee.
How nice to be able to have the PD dance friends over for a visit. Enjoy the afternoon.

It's a tad chilly here in the house. I left a few too many windows open last night! :emoticon 0111 blush:

Karen: How's Jane getting along without water at her kitchen sink? That would drive me crazy. You don't realize how many times you use the water at your sink until it's shut off.

So have you gone outside and SHAKEN your tomato plants to get them to pollinate more?
I'm going to try it as soon as my tomato plants gets some flowers on them.

I can actually feel my muscles that the therapy tech worked on yesterday. It didn't seem like anything was happening yesterday, but whatever he did is a little tight this morning.

I found out yesterday that our granddaughter, Ashley, is about to sign up for a new job with General Motors in July. Good for Ash! She's a hard worker and hopefully will be able to work "INSIDE" a office for a change instead of working from home. Since Covid she worked from home and just this past year she has been going into work 3 days a week. The girl needs to meet and mingle with people, which should happen at this new position. And it's REAL CLOSE TO HOME as far as travel time goes. Wishing her the best.

Okay, I'm off to get some fresh coffee. Join me!

I'm trying to guess who is the happiest when you visit Manny K2, you get a sock and Manny gets a Milkbone. I';; go with Manny. I hope your physical helps a lot.

Thanks for the video Lee, I'm not sure if I heard that one or not, and I don't remembe Carmen as being blonde. I'm going to watch/listen to it again, there are a lot of things I don't remember. You are only as old as you feel. I don't know who first started that but I don't believe it,

I am now 93 starting today, how old am I supposed to feel?????

In other news will Art (retired after years at Ford) be able to ever speak to Ashley (starting at GM) again? All kidding aside Kathie, congratulations to Ashley on starting this new chapter.

Good Morning Wrabbits.

Only thing better than "next day" Birthday Cake is WEDDING CAKE. Do they still give you a piece of wedding cake to take home with you these days? :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Last day of Manny watch. We really have had some nice bonding time together. We both took a nap yesterday. I made some cookies when I first got there. Of course, Manny doesn't get human snacks so he just got a mini dog Bisquit.

It's cloudy here right now and looks like rain, but that's really not suppose to happen until later.

Mike: How's it feel to be a year older? Hope you didn't over-due it yesterday. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Later gang.

I had the windows open here for the longest time today. Then it started to heat up and the humidity was on the rise. Before that I (we) got Ava walked twice, picked up prescriptions from the pharmacy, hung up the ironing board in the laundry room, dropped Lu-Ann at chair yoga, did 30 minutes on the treadmill, cut the front lawn, had a little lunch and went to the grocers. I’m sitting down now.
We picked up some strawberries. I said a silent “hi” to Tony. The berries were from Watsonville, CA.
I remember the little pieces of wedding cake being handed out to guests as the bride and groom visited all of the guests to say thank you before they (the bride and groom) left the reception. Or in our case when Lu-Ann’s Dad kinda tossed us out! Heck, it was a small wedding and we were having fun. I think Percy wanted to go home but not before we left. Jeez, I miss him too.
It’s looked like rain all day here too Kathie. But nothing forecast until maybe 6:00 tomorrow morning.
OK Mike, add me to the list of those folks who must have asked you your secret to your, so far, 93 years.
Where you at these days Karen. Miss ya.

Thanks from this side of the border too Kathie.
It’s not supposed to be as warm or wet as they had forecast. I’m hoping to get the back grass cut this morning. Lu-Ann and the “girl gang” are off for their Friday coffee and gab.
So, you’re likely - or not - wondering about “As the Basement Turns”. Well, turn it did. After a good day a week ago Thursday Doug and I got a panic call from Gail. Jim had started to fill the pool and he headed out to Windsor. He who refuses to carry a cell phone. As does Dave. Anyway, Gail had gone downstairs and there was water all over the floor. I had showed them the obscure spot where the outside shutoffs are when they moved it. She remembered, shut off the water and called us. When Doug and I arrived there was indeed water on and under the floor. The base board was swelling. We sucked up what we could with my shop vac and did our best to try to figure out what had happened! Had we nicked a waterline during construction? Even if we had and the water was turned off we would have noticed water as the line drained. We looked at each other and said “it’s up to the insurance now”. The insurance sent a restoration company with fans to dry things up and assess the damage. Of course, Jim and Gail HAD to go to Cleveland over the weekend to see their grand daughter’s dance recital. So, after investigating it turns out the fitting where the plastic water pipe running through the house is attached to the copper pipe going through the wall to the outside tap had failed or was never right in the first place. Thankfully it had nothing to do with the work we had done. Until the restoration company removes and replaces the effected insulation, drywall and floor we’ve been “laid off”. Had it not been for Gail going downstairs and her quick action it sure could have been a lot worse. Stay tuned for more episodes of “As the Basement Turns”.
Now, you fine folks all have a fantastic Friday. The thirteen.

First GOOD MORNING!

HOLY CRAP. All your work and it's a mess from trying to fill the darn pool. LORDY.
You and the rest of the OGC's better make it clear that INSURANCE will be fixing EVERYTHING from this point on. I can see JIM telling the insurance folks that "He'll take care of things"! Don't get sucked into that. You guys are DONE with that job.

Now to tell you that it was so good to be able to have all the windows open last night. Sleeping under the covers with a nice cool breeze was great.

I have nothing else for you folks this morning. You have a good day and bring back some good CHATS!

KAREN YOUR BREAK IS OVER..... you cubbie needs your attention! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile::emoticon 0136 giggle: Miss you.

It really hurt us to see the work we had done undone by something that wasn’t under our control Kathie. We all made it clear that ANY work that needed to be done as a result of the claim was up to the insurance company to take care of. I hope the restoration guys do as good a job as we had done.
It was nice and cool last night here too. 60F when Ava and I went for our early walk. Also a dandy temperature to get the back grass cut when we got home from The Navy Yard too!

I’m gonna see if the smell of fresh baked cookies will get Karen to drop by. I’m pretty sure that as long as there’s coffee Mike will be here.

Anybody else like birthday cake and coffee for breakfast? That always sounds good Lee. Marry the right person is the answer to your question. After you did all that work Lee, I think I would have sat down and cried or turned the air blue. I hope the insurance company doesn't say it was negligence on the fitting and refuse to pay. Those fresh baked cookies look great, and I will be there.

I never over do it K2 and I can't tell the difference that a day before I turned 93, but don't ask me about the year before my birthday, Add me to the thank you for another blessed, beautiful day. Manny is going to miss you.

I enjoyed the videos and picture that the two of you sent.

I went to the ear specialist earlier. My ears have been itching for a long time. She cleaned them and gave me a prescription to use but not too often. I hope it works. Fay has gone to pick it up along with some groceries.
Enjoy the rest of the day

Good morning!
We had a little rain last evening and overnight but Ava and I still made it out for our early walk. I think we both enjoy the quiet at that time of the morning. Especially on a Saturday when most of the worker bees are still sleeping.
It was supposed to rain harder so we kept the windows closed Kathie. Until I got up and was able to open a couple of them.
I do hope the script helps your ears Mike. Thanks for the good, sound advice. We suggested to Jim that the insurance might want to contact the builder about the failed fitting as the house is only about 4 years old.

Good Morning Wrabbits! Should be a nice day here.

Mike: I think I saw that you got a little more RAIN than Lee & Myself. Love it when Mother Nature waters our flowers and veggies for us. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Karen: If these guys that Lee sent out looking for you find you I hope they return you to the HUTCH. Cute guys!

I'm out of here for now. Art went biking and I'm off to make a nice Latte for myself. Join me!

I never enjoyed the morning walks Lee but enjoyed the late afternoon evening walks. when i was walking I did most of my walking in the AM.
K2 we got 2.52 inches of rain yesterday and getting light rain now. We are above the average rain for June and expecting more rain this month.
Today is Fay's birthday, Pattie came over this evening and Fay wanted Mexican, we have a nice family owned Mexican near us and we got our meals from them tonight. A friend stopped this evening also.

This June seems like the coldest June we have had in a long time. By the middle of next week the temps will be more to my likeing.
