Hi gang!
Got the shot and just like the 1st one everything went smoothly. We were 45 mins "early" for our appointment and they still took us! ;)

BB: Seems like the word on taking Tylenol comes from some of the "Medical" people in Michigan. Some say only take AFTER the shot and some say to only take if you have symptoms of FEVER and ACHES and Pains. I waited one hour after we came home and JUST TOOK IT.
Art didn't take one at all. We're doing SCIENTIFIC TESTING. Look for a article in the Medical Journal as to how our study turned out!! LOL

So far so good for both of us. We just had dinner and are watching the Michigan State Univ Basketball game!

Lee: Thanks for looking up the Argus Slide Projector. I saw that exact one you pointed out. We'll keep looking around for either a newer model. Art said as long as we can BUY the Cassettes that you put the sides in he's willing to transfer them. We have TONS of SLIDES from 1966 onward. We want to show the kids slides of their MOM when she was born and brought home, etc, etc. I know that there are companies that put your slides on digital CD's or Thumb Drives, but it would cost a small fortune to have them do this huge amount.
The one guy that has a decent looking Argus 540 machine DOES NOT SHIP and he lives in New Jersery. I asked him twice and he said the same answer twice: "I do not SHIP"! *(*&%
Figures he's from New Jersey! Ha Ha.

Lee it's nice that you can get to the waters edge and see the Ice Jams. It's about a 40 min drive to Lake St Clair to see the Coast Guard Cutters breaking up the ICE on the Lake. They showed a picture of the Canadian Coast Guard cutter at work yesterday and a FREIGHTER right in behind it moving along. That usually doesn't happen this time of the year.
There were about 4 families that went up to Port Huron and the Blue Water Bridge the other day to see the Ice Jams that go to our church. Too funny. They were posting the same pictures we took. We must have missed each other on the road.

I'm out of here for now. Hope that I feel this GOOD in the MORNING!
I have a much needed HAIR CUT on Thursday, so I better feel okay. I missed my last 2 appointments. But to tell you the truth my hair was SO SHORT from the November hair cut that it finally looks like I want it. The stylist is only going to have to trim the ends if you ask me.

Nite from Macomb.

Stay safe folks and please don't let your guard down. Can you believe this has been going on for over a YEAR. I have been in our church since December of 2019. So that's over a year. WOW.

By the way......70 degrees on the thermometer is pushing it for me. Remember I'm on meds that make me have HOT FLASHES all over again. 2 more years of those pills and then I can get off of them hopefully. Nothing worst than being TOO HOT! Going through Menopause twice is not my idea of fun. But LIVING is, so I take the pills.

By the way........Nice to know you're feeling better PAT! Keep up the good work.

I got a lovely note from Nancy this evening...our Angel arrived today & she Loved it!! She said she cried when she saw it, but they were happy tears. She said Tony considered us all good friends & she does too....I told her to feel free to drop by & say hello...I'm sure John or Matthew could set her up if she wanted them to....
Night from Belleview...

Another "fun" day of seeing a doctor to get a release from him so I can have another doctor do my carotid artery surgery. Sucks that his office is in the hospital. He's also the guy that put 3 stints in my left leg.

Thanks to Bunny brain power I now know why they don't want plastic bags mixed in with plastic recyclables. K2; In answer to your question about what we are using our Ninja air fryer for. Although you can use it for air frying, reheating, roasting, and dehydrating we pretty much got ours just so we wouldn't have to deep fry in oil anymore. Things like French fries and battered shrimp. But with all the recipes out there, I'm sure we'll try some of the other features too. Here's a bunch of recipes; https://www.ninjakitchen.com/

(Click on "recipes" at the top of the page.) Using the dehydrate button and making our own beef jerky is something that interests me.

So happy to hear that you are feeling better BB.

Lee; Your mention of out of date maritime rules reminded me of cruising to Hawaii. You either had to leave from Mexico or return to Mexico. What a pain.

So pleased to read that Nancy got our Bunny-Angel, KC.

In just a little bit we're off to pick up the groceries, bring them home and put them away, and then it should be close to time to head off to the hospital.

Good morning...let's see if I can get this posted before the day gets away from me like it seems to do lately...

Dave, good luck with the Dr. check up....amazing how many of the dates on the calendar have "Dr" appt. written on them...
I'll have to check out that receipe site...

Kathi, good call on not going to the funeral....Jill & Mark know you care...like you said...you don't even go to your own church with folks you know...why not just cancel the hair appt. if you like the length it is now?

Lee, Pretty cool surprise getting the signed book...another perk of small town life...people know people...how is Mr Bear doing these days?

Pat, sounds like I didn't miss a thing by not turning on the tv on Sunday....hope you are finally on the road to recovery...so more side trips!! You must really have been feeling bad to cancel a family munch fest....
Still no word from the Ohio lawyer on Dad's paperwork....I sent off another email this morning....
Grey & foggy here this morning...but it's supposed to clear up as the day goes on...I may head out for my walk before the sun comes out..
Stay safe gang & washy-washy

Good Morning fellow Wrabbits.

Bright outside, Clear, and started out at 10F! Brrr.

Post Vaccine REPORT: All is good. I can feel the area where the shot was given. It doesn’t hurt when you rub the arm, it’s a “deep bruise feeling “ this time. No big deal. Other than that I’m good SO FAR. I’ll wait and see what I’m like 24 hrs into this!

Karen: Good to know that the gift to Nancy made it. That was quick. I still think it was just the perfect gift from all us Bunny’s! Good job gang!
As far as the haircut goes it will be for COLOR too and I’ll be telling him just to trim the hair to TAME some of the 3 month growth!

Dave: Hope the doctor give his “blessing“ for your upcoming surgery. Have they scheduled a date yet?
Good idea to use the Air Fryer instead of Deep Frying foods. I think when we first got married I had a small round deep frying. Never liked reusing the oil again and got rid of that fryer quick.

Pat: Have you used the new TurnTable yet? I loved the look of it.

Lee: How much longer is your “House Arrest”? My one friend at churchnthat has a 91 yr old Father who lives in the Niagara Falls area hasn’t seen her Father in over a YEAR. Thank goodness he’s been healthy and has church people who look in on him. I think there should be some exceptions. Thank goodness some of the younger church friends set up Zoom meeting and have shown him how to use FACE TIME so she can see him. Not easy on anybody.

Rita/ Negc: How's it going over your way. Hope it’s warming up. How does this area and condo compare to N. Fort Meyers. Are their activities for you guys to do?

I’m going to do little or NOTHING today. Take care all. You know the DRILL!

Good morning folks.
A little more over cast here than it has been the past few days. That always makes it feel colder than the 18F that is on the old thermometer.
Nice to know that our remembrance of Tony made it to Nancy
Karen. Again, thank you. You were so right to let Nancy know that she's welcome any time she'd like to pop by and say "Hi". Old Bear is doing pretty well. But he loves and always has loved colder weather and snow. The boy ain't right I tell ya! I believe that Mark Twain said "Lawyers are like other people--fools on the average; but it is easier for an ass to succeed in that trade than any other." I can call your lawyer and tell him that if you want.
The "mock down" continues here. Sort of, for at least another week "they" think Kathie. Part of the province (Eastern Ontario) is opening up tomorrow. Our area looks like we'll be opening up a little bit, maybe, it all depends, a week after. It's just a flipping joke! Did you get my email with the new address? Good to know that you're scientific research into the effects of the covid vaccine will indeed be published. Here if no where else.
I have to admit that your observations about the Ninja have peaked my interest a tad Dave. Like Kathie, we had a small deep fryer because Lu-Ann used to make amazing deep fried ravioli. I think we may have even deep fried a Mars Bar once just to try "carnival eats" at home. As long as you feel better when it's all over then it's worth the trip to the horsepiddle to get the clearance from your doctor. But in this day and age with COVID around one would think that could be done from one doc to another online!
Lu-Ann is on her call with the old Kitchener yoga gang. Nice they still keep in touch that way. Yesterday was our friend Dave's birthday. We dropped a little birthday cupcake off at his door. A far cry from celebrating at Columbia in Celebration or The Boat House at Disney Springs.
We're off in a bit to take the pups for their walk. Likely at the park in LaSalle. Which just happens to be near Starbucks. Where it's double star day. I'd say that makes the trip "essential". Always a loophole if you look close enough.
You all be good. Enjoy what ever you're up to today from seeing the doc to getting a haircut to, well, doing nothing.

I'm not even going to waste my time saying good morning and instead will go directly to good afternoon!

I really wish I could sleep the whole night, instead of being awake for 1 ot 2 hours during the middle of the night. Then when I go back to sleep, I catnap and finally fall into a deep sleep and then sleep too late. UGH! I hate this!

Not a lot going on around here today. It's going to be nice and warm, so I'm hoping to get out on the lanai and read for a while. I just have to hope I don't fall asleep out there.

Dave - Good luck with the doctor appointment and that you get the ok to have the surgery done.

Kathie - Most people who have any reaction to the second shot, have it later that evening or the next day. After that, all should be good. Good luck with the hair cut & color. Did you hear about the black woman who went to the store to buy a certain brand of hair spray and when they were out of it, she decided to spray her hair with Gorilla Glue? She ended up at the hospital and there's really nothing they can do to take it our. She started a Go Fund Me to possibly sue the manufacturer and has already collected over $13,000! I bet they tell her where to stick her gorilla glue, as who the heck would be that crazy to do that?

Lee - Enjoy your "essential" trip to Starbucks!! I hope they open up your area soon so you can see your friends again.

Karen - I too got a note from Nancy and I too told her to get in touch here anytime she wants to chat or vent. I was so glad to hear that she loves the angel. Shows we made the right choice!

Guess I'll go see about finding something for lunch before I head for the lanai. Be good, everyone, and you know what you need to do to stay safe. :)

The pups had a nice walk along the trail in LaSalle. It’s getting hard to find walkways that aren’t loaded with salt or ice. I don’t recall this problem in FL in February.
And yes, the drive through at Starbucks worked just fine.
Going to head out back in a bit and sweep the “snow shower” off the patio before the pups head out.
G’nite everyone.

Pat: I saw that article about the Gorilla Glue the lady used on her hair. What a nut case.
And good luck with her lawsuit. Oh and who in their right mind would donate to her GoFund Me acct. Nuts.

Lee: Just heard on the news we might get 3-6” of snow Monday night through Tues. Joy. Joy!

Early sign out here in Macomb.

I got my new COOKBOOK in the mail today. Going to change into my night clothes & robe and go through it.
I hardly needed yet another cookbook.

Good morning gang!

Oh goody, today I get to see the family doctor to get her clearance for the carotid artery surgery. Do I think she'll give it to me today? Hell no. I figured that the 2 doctors that I need clearances from would use this as an opportunity to make a few more bucks by ordering further testing. Everybody is also covering their 6 o'clocks.

Yesterday the heart doctor ordered a stress test for me.......on the 24th of the month. Today I'm sure that she'll require me get at least further blood tests. Delays, delays, delays. (Sure hope I don't have a stroke before this plugged up neck artery is finally cleaned out.)

A little cheese with this whine please.

Gorilla glue in your hair. Brilliant idea. Three guesses who this mental midget voted for in the Presidential election.

Great quote; "Lawyers are like other people--fools on the average; but it is easier for an ass to succeed in that trade than any other."

Time for me to get moving.

I don't want to be around people in hospitals or even at a doctor's office. Waa. Waa. Waa!

Good Morning Wrabbits!
Wow....amazing TV coverage on the Impeachment hearing. Will it amount to anything....heck NO. It has to be done to put it on the records for HISTORY, but the BULLY won’t even get a hand slap. Pathetic. Our country is showing the WORLD WHY they SHOULDN’T hope for any constructive help from the USA. We’re a BROKEN COUNTRY that can’t help, itself yet alone any other country.

Off to the East side of town to get a hair cut.

Later gang. Be safe.

Good morning, gang! Another beautiful day here, but with a chance of rain later. Definitely no salt or ice here!!

Dave - Good luck at the doctor's today. I agree with you that they order every test they can before giving an OK for surgery. I guess they just have a CYA moment, before a final yay or nay.

Lee - You are so going to appreciate winter in Florida again. No fun between the ice and bitter cold. Think about things to come and you'll really appreciate next winter for sure.

Kathie - Have fun getting your hair done.
That Jane Ashman that posted on Missy's FB comment who said it's not a real trial because it isn't being held in a court room is a real a$$. She taught 2 of our kids Spanish and she was my assistant principal shortly before I retired. We used to call her "the mouth of the South"! She'd be in her office and you could hear her all over cussing about one thing or another. And by the way - Guess who she voted for? Missy has tangled with he many times on political view.

Karen - Don't work too hard at your sister's today. Does Barb keep a running "to do" list for you? Sure sounds like it!

Never made it outside yesterday. I made the mistake of putting on MSNBC and got hooked on all the new videos that we had never seen before. That was some scary stuff as to how close the rioters got to the senators! So far today I am resisting turning on the TV. Got some running around to do today, as well as a trip to Sam's for "medicine"!! LOL

I hear Bert just about ready to put in his first appearance of the day, so I think I'll get off here for now in order to make some lunch so we can go out. Take care, everyone, no matter what you're doing today. Keep your guard up and stay safe! :)

Good afternoon!
It may be bright and sunny (23F feeling like 14F) but it's cold in the wind down by the water. So, we stayed a block away from the water. :)
Kathie, you are being away too hard on your "broken country". A little shot of Gorilla Glue should take care of that! I know. Too soon.

Now listen, all of you. The way I see it America is not as broken as it was 3 1/2 weeks ago. Ya, it WAS broken but through no fault of any of you. You all banded together and now you have, again, a REAL President. A Man who the world, well, maybe not Russia, but the rest of the world has high hopes for. A Man who is going to work for everyone. No matter what side of the political fence you set up camp on. Bottom line is that you have a real leader again. A Man who leads by speaking to people. Not by tweeting from behind the "safety" of his cell phone. A Man who is NOT a pouty face, self centred arrogant a$$hole who thought that the sun did indeed rise and set on him. President Biden, the POTUS (nice to use capitals for that again) has his work cut out for him. But millions of Americans wouldn't have voted for him if they didn't believe that he could get the job done and restore America's faith in itself and the faith of countries around the world in America.
The preceding was a message from the guy across The Detroit River. And I approve that message!
Oh Pat, you have no idea how much we are both missing FL. Far more than either of us thought we would. So yes, it will be good to get back. Maybe set aside a bottle of your medicine to celebrate our return next winter?
Take it easy at Jane's today Karen. If you get everything done at once then you'll have nothing to do tomorrow.
That is the sad but truthful part Dave. Everybody has to cover their sixes. No matter how much unwanted concern it places on you and Kathi having to run to all of these places and get clearances before the big show. And my friend, once the border opens I would love nothing more than to meet you part way where I can buy you a glass of whine and share a hunk o' cheese.
Now, the other day I mentioned meeting Ms. Shirley Temple Black and getting a signed copy of her book. Back in the day before cell phones with cameras. Is there proof I met her and got the book signed. Yep. I was there. Just ask me. Anyway, here's a picture of the title page and facing page which she signed. The book itself is 548 pages!
IMG_4935.jpeg

OK, that's it from me.
All of you be good and if you can't be good at least be careful!

WOW LEE.....how nice that you saved the SIGNED book. I must say that's really special.
You never cease to surprise me.

As for FLORIDA and wanting to be there......wait until after this weekend. You'll really wish you were there.
I am a member of some Anna Maria Island and LBKey Fbook sites and these people that are down there have nothing better to do than to POST PICTURES and VIDEOS of the beaches. Yikes, it makes it hard to not get in the car and drive down there. But after seeing a pile up accident on I-75 by Atlanta I changed my mind.
Did you all see the accident in TEXAS today. 100 car plus pile up on BLACK ICE FREEWAY. 5 people reported have passed in the crash. Those are the things I hated when we were driving on freeways at the end of January and into February. CRAZY SCARY.

Hair cut and color was great. I can see that the salons business is a little SLIM compared to last year this time. The place is usually packed at 10:30 appointments and it wasn't this morning.

We had a POOR MAN's DINNER tonight, because I didn't take out any meat to make and I didn't feel like getting a carry-IN! Ha Ha.
Hot dogs and Campbell's Tomato soup. It was good and filled our tummy's.

I have nothing more to add to this EVENING CHAT.

Macomb Checking out.

WOW.........tomorrow is FRIDAY already. Amazing. Soon it will be SPRING and we'll all still be wearing the masks and living a dismal life. Ha Ha

Good Friday morning Bunnies!

And yesterday the prosecution in the Senate trial rested. A slam-dunk of a case.......as long you're not kissing the Buffoon's flutter valve.

That just reminded me; Yesterday I was watching "Blazing Saddles". It seems to be funnier each time I see that bean eating scene.

How cool to still have that signed copy of Shirley Temple's book, Lee. I'd bet collectors would love to get their mitts on it.

I give BB, what is a "CYA moment"?

Hot dogs and tomato soup doesn't sound bad K2. Sometimes nothings better than just a hot dog with lots of condiments on it. Enough that half of the condiments fall off when you pick it up. Maybe you should post a picture of you sitting on a big pile of snow eating it.

As expected the nurse practitioner at the family doctor's office wants me to have some blood tests. BUT they aren't going to do them until the heart surgeon finishes his tests. AHHH! And now even that seems to be messed up.

I left his office on Wednesday thinking that I was given an order for a stress test, seeing that was all we talked about. But no, I was given an order for an echocardiogram. So I called them yesterday to get this straightened out. This is where I think somebody goofed and just ordered the wrong test. But I'm told, oh no, he wants both. Then where is an order for the stress test? Oh we'll call you with a date and time. AHHH!

Good morning, fellow bunnies! Another very warm day ahead here in the deep south. Still kind of cloudy though, so we shall see what happens.

Katie - Glad your trip to the beauty parlor went well and that it wasn't too crowded. There's not wrong wrong with hot dogs and soup. As a kid, our usual Saturday night dinner was beans. franks and french fries. I still make that once in a while for Bert & I.

Dave - Sorry those doctors are giving you such a runaround. Every one of them is just seeing $$$$ that they will make from Medicare. I too love that beans scene from Blazing Saddles. Actually, we love the entire movie. Did you know there were a few different endings to that movie? The last scene at the shootout in town was shown one way in theaters and another way on home video. I have no clue what that is all about and why they did that.

Lee - Sorry it was so cold and windy down by the water. That thought gives me chills. That is so neat that you still have that book signed by Shirley Temple. A great keepsake, for sure. I think we're going to go for a ride this afternoon and check out any additional building that has been going on between here and Davenport. You know where we'll be stopping in Davenport - True Blue Winery for a glass of Crazy Good wine! I'll even have a second glass for you. See what a great friend I am?!!

Well if we're going to go out soon, I guess it's time to find something for lunch and then hit the road. Have a wonderful day, everyone, and follow all the rules! :)

BE THE REASON SOMEONE SMILES TODAY! ;)

Good Mid-Morning Wrabbits. I SEE PAT POSTED JUST NOW..... HI THERE !

And "AS THE MEDICAL BS TURNS" continues for DAVE!
Don't you just love when YOU have to TELL the STAFF and DOCTORS how to handle the TESTS they want you to have. Total BS and it happens all the time lately.

YOU have to be your OWN PATIENT ADVOCATE and stay on top of things. Ask the doctor if you can stay AWAKE for the surgery to make sure he's doing things correctly! Ha Ha. Hey, it's not far from the truth these days.
Make sure to have a folder for each doctor and keep good notes and ask for receipts you paid, etc, etc. I have a plastic milk box container full of folders marked with each doctors name on it and the year. Comes in handy when they send you a BILL a year later!! RIP OFF billing departments.
All the best buddy. Stay on top of things. You can get file folders at Dollar Store!

So this morning I went through the SPICE RACK that spins around and has 2 shelves. It's a Old Tupperware gizmo that I don't know if they even sell anymore. Fits in the cabinet nice and neat. Anyways, it was time to empty out 10 OUT DATED spices and throw away a few that I NEVER use at all.
I'll go to the BULK FOOD STORE and buy a ounce of this and a ounce of that to refill the bottles and save all kinds of money on buying a FULL NEW Bottle at the grocery store. You don't need 2 oz of Cumin. And I'll put a little sticky tag on the bottle as to when I bought the stuff, so I can keep track of when to throw that out and start all over again!

I'm taking back the DESKTOP TOWER computer to Costco's today. Going to concentrate on getting a good Laptop computer. We can always buy a bigger Monitor and a cable to go from the Laptop to the bigger Monitor screen for Art to read his beloved Detroit Free Press.
Keyboards are cheap these days and I shouldn't have a problem finding one of those.

Mark said he would help me set things up.

I do need to find a good MODEM to run all this Internet stuff. Can't wait until this is all over with. I might even set up this OLD computer in the basement if it's possible until I get everything I want transferred to whatever new gizmo I purchase.

So I have a couple of stops to make today. And I will be DOUBLE MASKED....promise.

Costco
Meat shoppe
Bulk Food Shoppe for spices

AS far as watching the Trump lame lawyers plead their case, I'm not interested. It will be reviewed over and over on TV all night and weekend.

FYI: We watched a Netflix movie last night called: THE DIG. It was good. Nothing too deep or heavy, just a nice movie. Love when people pass on decent movies.

I binged watch "BRIDGERTON" the other night by myself. It was good. I had to have the CAPTIONS on because it was hard to understand the English accents. If you don't like a lot of BANGING SEX I would tell you not to watch this. I got through SEASON 1. Now I have to wait for Season 2 to start. Or I can just wait until Season 2 is over and Binge watch it all at once!

Later folks.......gotta get moving over here. It's Friday and the traffic at Noon will be ugly on HALL ROAD by our Costco! I should wait until just before closing to do this return. Might just do that!!

I may as well say good afternoon cause at the speed I type it will be before I’m done.
I‘m thinking Bear is the smart one. He’s eager to get in the van to come with us when we go for a walk and then he chooses to stay put while we “brave the elements”.
When we moved we purged all kinds of expired spices Kathie. That’s one thing I like about Goodfood and Hello Fresh meal kits. They send you exact amount of the spice you need for each dish! I guess there’s no point mentioning that Apple makes a good laptop that will talk to both your phone and iPad, is there? We watched The Dig as well. It was a tad slow but a good fact based story. As far as I was concerned Bridgerton was a waste of time. I’ll not be in line for season 2.
I sure hope that you can get a picture with Harold and the Crazy Good Pat. Then I can cut my finger and rub salt in the wound. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: I can’t imagine how much development has taken place out that way. I suspect we’ll really see a difference next year!
You must be having a crappy day Dave. You mentioned “flutter valve” and the bean scene all in one post. Just frustrating when you have a mind set for the tests you need only to find out that didn’t tell you everything they have planned! Keeping with the theme, “Bummer”.
I sure hope by now you’ve all seen the lawyer who accidentally had a cat filter on during a zoom call. I laugh every time I see it. I applaud the judge who released it and the lawyer for rolling with it and realizing it’s giving so many people a much needed laugh.
Best run. Today is our remote trivia day and once again I will be the host reading questions from Boom Again. If only I had Dave’s great radio voice!
Stay safe and well everyone.
