Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Good morning & what a beautiful day in the neighborhood it is today!!! Praying that all goes well with the activities in DC today....so many unhinged people these days it's just plain scarey....

Pat, it was very much on the cold side here the other night...frost on the grass & roof tops when I woke up yesterday morning...but my plants were all tucked in nice & cozy in their new little "tent"...

Lee, Jack...Donald....whatever....I'm just glad to call him GONE!!! Will be interesting to see if the neighbors manage to run him off from Mar- a Largo since he signed that agreement making it a private club....if so maybe the pillow guy will let him bunk with him for a while...

Kathie, your computer area looks very nice....I have to much "stuff" in my spare closet to do a set up like that...which is good in a way...now I "have" to keep my desk area reasonably clean...

Dave, oh come on....get a little crazy & put all your Biden/Harris signs out front....and wear one of your shirts while you are doing it.....I did a double take the other day driving out to my Uncles someone had a sign out front that looked like a typical trump sign....but when you got closer it said anybody but TRUMP....I thought it was cool....

Tony...hope all is well on the West coast...anymore rocking & shaking going on?

Nothing much planned for today...going to turn the tv on in a little bit & watch all the activities going on today.....see you all later...

It's a beautiful new day for America! I bet most of us will be glued to the TV today to watch all the happenings in DC. May God bless and keep our new president safe.

That service last evening honoring all those we've lost to the virus was so moving and tastefully done. I do hope they keep those lights there permanently. I sat here watching it with tears running down my face. Just so emotionally stirring.

Kathie - Photo shoots while getting the vaccine? Wow! They sure don't do that here. They just want to give you your shot, wait your 15 minutes, and start your engine and get out of there so the next car has a place to wait. Then just roll down your window and let the nurse see your arm.
The house I grew up in in Jersey City had a huge basement, part of which my parents turned into a rec room with a pool table and where my brother and I hung out with our friends almost nightly. Since then, we have never had a basement and I don't miss it. Bert also does not put things in the attic, so guess where all his crap is - the garage!! That's why the car rarely sees the inside of the garage. This house called for a 3 car garage. Bert had them eliminate one garage and made that the area for his workbench and the rest of his stuff. There is no wall space in the whole garage that doesn't have a storage cabinet or shelves on it. Needless to say, I hardly ever go in the garage. Do you blame me? LOL

Karen - Glad you like the new eye doctor. I still have to make my appointment for my eye exam. I hate when they dilate your eyes. There goes the rest of the day until your eyes get back to normal.
Good to hear that your plants came through your chilly night without any problems.

Lee -I'm glad to hear that Lu-Ann is continuing to keep up with her exercises to stay as healthy as possible. Any idea yet when your game will arrive?

Got the gang coming over tonight for leftover stew. It was a matter of either invite them for dinner or have to put a couple of big containers in the freezer. Having them for dinner won.

The cat is in trouble again - He chewed through the oxygen line this morning. He was all wound up running around the house and bit the line on impulse. He's now in hiding and will be keeping his distance all day.

Well, that's it for me this morning. My fingers are finished running across the keyboard for now. Time to settle down in front of the TV and watch the happenings. I think we will all truly enjoy this one as opposed to 4 years ago. Stay safe, gang! :)

Lee & Lu-Ann —— I want to personally THANK YOU for your constant support to our country. It hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Thank you Kathie. That certainly means a lot to both of us.
We have always loved The United States of America, the people and their passion for their country. As Pat said, we too were glued to the tube watching Mr. Biden and Ms. Harris become President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Pretty darned moving if you ask me. With so much going on in this old world the inauguration relit the flame for hope for the future of not only The United States but The World.
As an aside, isn't it a coincidence that here, in Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada our trash went out around 9:00 as well. Just not in a helicopter.

So happy to finally have a President & Vice President with class & grace again!! I was also rather proud of former VP Mike Pence for sticking around and taking part in welcoming the new president....yes I think he could have done more to reign in lil t and denounce some of his crazy lies...but in the end he did do the decent thing and show up....

Loved watching the whole inauguration with all the pomp and tradition, but I have one question - What the he!! was that getup on Lady Gaga? And that eagle on her chest? I guess it could have been worse - She could have come out of an egg again!! JaLo was much classier looking. I loved the outfits on the women and obviously pearls are in again. I'll have to buff mine, as they haven't been worn in a number of years.

Pat, I think that was supposed to be a dove with an olive branch Lady G was wearing...but yeah...her outfit was a little over the top...I noticed at the end she had ditched the red parachute part of it...that must have been interesting to watch her get out of that...
Feel bad for the President & Vice President that they don't get to have the inaugural balls...always liked to see all the lovely gowns....just another sad result of this d@mm virus...

Hi, this is Kathi,

Rather upset at the moment.

We had to cancel a cruise last April and they are now cancelled thru April 2021.

Was hoping to get a refund.

NOPE

I dont understand, they are the ones who cancelled the cruises!!!

Needed to vent,
Thank you for listening.

Kathi

Full Refund (Lower Value)

If you prefer the lower value in a full refund instead of the 125% Future Cruise Credit, we’re happy to process this for you.
• We’ll then deactivate your Future Cruise Credit and process your refund to your original form(s) of payment, which will include any non-refundable deposits.
• To avoid waiting on the phone to cancel, please click here and we will get the process started for you. Note: Please know, once we receive your refund request, we unfortunately won’t be able to accept an FCC request if you change your mind.
• You can expect to receive your refund 45 days after you submit your request.
• Please note: If you used a Cruise with Confidence certificate on this sailing, and you request a refund instead, we’ll refund any NEW funds paid above the certificate amount, and we’ll reinstate your original Cruise with Confidence certificate.

Kathi, don't blame you for being upset....did you have travel insurance for the cruise that you cancelled? If so, maybe they can help with a refund....I agree it's not something you cancelled on a whim & you can't use a credit if there are no cruises to book....hope you can find a way to get it resolved...

Just saw your 2nd posting....did you fill out the form for the refund on the cancelled cruise? And they said no?

As always Kathi It seems the cruise lines hold all the cards and make the rules as they see fit. I agree. THEY cancelled the voyages.
Now, aside from that, did Dave “wee” himself with excitement as President Biden and Vice President Harris (damn that sounds good!) were sworn in?

Dave /Kathi : Did you pay any deposits with a credit card company? They usually back up losses. Wonder if you put a claim against the cruise company to get your money back.
There should be a law against everything they are doing.
I feel your RANT. All the best in getting a refund.

I just got a phone call from the USPS regarding a undelivered pkg from Dec 14 2020.
Lady says distribution areas are still backed up. Said the fact that they have a tracking of it moving from one location (Detroit) to another location 25 miles from Detroit means it is NOT LOST. It’s just DELAYED!
Ya Think!
She gave me a service number. Most likely to make me feel they have a handle on things! Ha ha. I did sarcastically say that I have heard of letters & pkgs showing up 30yrs later, so there is still hope! She didn’t reply. Ha ha

BB: I think that Gaga held true to herself by wearing something a tad OVER THE TOP! For Gaga it was appropriate. She Ace’d thee Ed song and that was important.
Off to see what we can eat for dinner that doesn’t require much work. I was glued to the TV most of the day.

Hello to Tony.
Funny how Bii/Rita dump us when they are in their Happy Place for Winter! Ha ha

Lee: That should have said: She ACE' D THE SONG. I was on that silly iPhone. Small keyboard.

I'm glad that Canada is HAPPY for AMERICA.......at least for now.
I just wish that the COVID would soon be gone so I can go visit my CANADIAN FRIENDS and go to Goderich, and Port Albert etc, etc. After all, Art's parents were born in Canada and we went to Port Albert and Goderich.
SO CLOSE....YET SO FAR AWAY. Like across the Detroit River or Blue Water Bridge! Bummer.

Out of here for tonight.

You know I was kidding you Kathie. I know. That’s not like me. ;)
It is hard being so close yet so far away.
Watching Celebrating America on CNN. We all have good reason to celebrate tonight.
