Good evening, trying to play catch up with my posting here but not sure I can remember all the chatter you guy's have been having, nice for reading, not so nice for remembering!
Kathie, I got your recipe & it sounds interesting, I may give it a try for one of our midsummer potlucks when everyone likes cool & light foods. I talked to my friend Tom yesterday & turns out he had the same kind of eyelid surgery you had, get this, On the SAME day!
Dave, sometimes I think you make up weird food combinations just to see how freaked out we all get. So do you have a new ETA for the new fridge or is it still a waiting game?
Pat, sure hope Bert get's to feeling better soon, pulled muscles are no fun to wait on healing. Yep, we have a community potluck the 4th Tues. of every month. Guess it's one of the better perks of living in a small community.
Lee, I'd also like to book your window cleaning services, I "think" I may have cleaned my windows & sliding glass door when I moved in 6 yrs ago and maybe my door a time or 2 after that, but the windows not so much. And I really have no excuse not to wash them since I only have 2 windows!
Bill, may the casino gods smile on you this weekend & fill your pockets with many coins. Enjoy your visit to Cape Cod too!
I did make it to the potluck last night, but the menu changed & I made beef & noodles instead of baked spaghetti. Tom had called me in the afternoon & wanted me to list a curio cabinet he has on Facebook marketplace to try & sell it. So I went over & took pictures & visited for a while. Once I got home I was running a little short on time so it was noodles, hamburger & cream of mushroom soup casserole instead. Must not have been to bad as it all got ate. It started to rain lightly just as I was getting ready to leave the house so I drove down to the clubhouse instead of walking like I usually do. Only 20 people for dinner this month, but we still had a nice time & plenty of food to eat.
Wednesday mornings at church they have the Feast of the Saint Day service so I decided to go today & see what I could learn. I also turned in my paperwork to join the church. It was an interesting little short service that talks about different founders & missionaries in the Episcopal church.
Then this afternoon Barb, Jane & I picked up some bbq sandwiches & spent some time in the pool before the clouds & wind chased us out. It's rained some here off & on all afternoon but we need it so I won't complain to much.
Have a good evening all!
