Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Just had to share that I made us EGG SALAD SANDWICHES for lunch.
Haven’t had that since last Summer. WHY??? Who knows, but it sure did hit the spot. We had a lot of those when I was a little girl growing up! Of course, EGGS were CHEAPER back then! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
80F and climbing. Glad I gave the backyard plants a watering earlier. I’m going out to do the front now and suffer through the heat & Sunshine. The sun does a good job of keeping my hair highlites in check! Ha ha.

Later gang.
Mike we had another serving of Green Beans with dinner last night. More to come soon. The 4 little Bush Plants are doing a good job!

No matter how much you or Art do around the house there's always more to be done. Good for him wearing that brace! Who doesn't love a GOOD egg salad sandwich.
We were up along Riverside Drive in Windsor this morning. We looked across and, thanks to you
Kathie, were able to pick out the old train station just over the Ambassador Bridge.
We get a lot of Monarch Butterflies when they are migrating to Mexico Mike. Because Amherstburg and surrounding areas are one of the narrowest points to cross the Detroit River The Monarchs seem to stop in the trees here before continuing south.
Time to head down to the "torture chamber" and see what workout I'm doing today. I'm thinking the treadmill.
Tomorrow I'm headed to Jim and Gails' for, hopefully, the last time. The insurance guys are supposed to finish the repairs today. These guys have been a nightmare with the poor quality of work and having to redo things!
OK, off to the basement I go.

Tired Good Night GIF by Chippy the Dog

Good night Wrabbits!

Get ready for one HOT Day On Thursday.

Good Thursday morning.
You called it Kathie. It is already 73F and feeling like 84F. There was a nice breeze out of the north when Ava and I went out at 6:00.
I’ll see if I can find any of the pictures from when The Monarchs covered the trees by The River Mike. It was quite a sight!
Hopefully everything we need to finish at Jim and Gail’s is there and more to the point they know where they want everything.
You all have a great Thursday and try to stay cool.

Good Morning! It’s HOT already! Yikes.
Lee: Hope today goes/went well at Jim & Gails place. Remember to tell them you’re RETIRING and not to call you for any projects. Hope you all can get in the pool today!
Mike/Fay stay inside today.
Karen: You are either really busy, can’t stand us anymore or dying and afraid to tell us or…..GOT MARRIED AND ARE ON YOUR HONEYMOON! :emoticon 0115 inlove:
If you‘re reading along be a good Christian and stop in to say HELLO. You are more than missed.
Lee…change out the night light bulb to a LED and brighter. It might help!
Later gang. Stay safe in this heat.

I’m missing something here Kathie. ??

Not just our homes that need maintenance. Seems one of our bird houses is bursting at the seams! I sure hope it all holds together until the current residents move on! Then I can take it down and fix it up for the next tenants.
Off to Jim’s.

Lee, your bird house looks like it has seen better days but it has lasted longer than the ones I made. Mine were much simpler to make, I wouldn't attemt to make one like yours. I use to get 6 inch cedar fence boards to make mine. I would do the same with feeders. I hope you finished at Jim and Gails. We have 2 hibiscus (red) out now.
K2, I sat outside for 20 minute this morning in the sun but had to come in, the sun was burning my arms.
Pattie came over this morning, her and Fay went to get gas for the cars then later on went to Jungle Jims. Pattie got me some pizzelles????
It is 93 and sunny at 3:00 I wouldn't surprise me if it got hotter. Thank goodness for AC.

The story about the sculpture made me smile Mike. I especially liked the little rat. It’s currently reading 94F here and feels like 113F. We’re also under a severe thunderstorm watch. Lu-Ann originally bought that birdhouse a few years ago. I repaired it once.
So many celebrity passings over the past couple of weeks. Of them all I will miss musician Chuck Mangione the most. Twice his music was used for the Olympic Games. I enjoyed his talent, music and his connection to his fans. I saw him at Toronto's Massey Hall. At the end of his performance he sat on the edge of the stage and spoke with fans and signed autographs. Back before iPhones and digital photos.
Have a good evening my friends.

Mike: Cute picture of the Moron in the sewer. Just where he should be.

Lee: Hope your day went well.
I just wanted you to put in a LED light bulb for our missing Hutch Member Karen! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
I hope you're finally DONE at Jim's house.

breaking news trinity GIF

I called Miss KAREN just now (5:30 pm Thurs) and she is alive and WELL.
She said I could post that she is busy tending to her Sisters. One was in the hospital for her Diabetes and I forgot what she mentioned about the other sister. Karen has been busy at church and taking a member to have some surgery done. And then Karen has been dealing with her Glaucoma. Wants to find a better specialist, but there just aren't any around.
So she's been BUSY.
I told her we MISS HER on here and she said if she can remember her PASSWORD she'll try and pop on next week. I told her to write down her password once she remembers it.
Just glad to know she's basically okay. She sounded really good.

99 degrees
and that's NOT with any REAL FEEL. Lordy it's ugly out there.

I managed to trim some of the bushes under the Sargents Crab tree out front EARLY this morning. I left the trimmings because it was too HOT by the time I got done. Art came home from his bike ride and said he'll pick them up tomorrow real early. ALWAYS SOMETHING.

Thank you for calling Karen Kathie. I do hope she finds her password and the time to pop by.
I can pretty much say with confidence that
I am done at Jim’s. I’d have put a whole, bright new fixture in if I thought it would act as a beacon for Karen to find us.
I think we set a record for a new high temperature today.
One of my favourite Chuck Mangione tunes, “Feels So Good”.

Lee it’s been quite a week for deaths! “Chuck M” makes it 4!

It’s POURING RAIN here right now. The grass and flowers are loving it.

Okay, back to reading my book. Nothing on TV, so I’m glad to read this book. It’s the 2nd in a Trilogy. I got the 1st one from the Little book library set up on a neighbors property. She bought a really nice little set up and even has banner she puts out when she gets new books. And a place for dog biscuits too.
I got this current book from our beautiful new Township library. Saved me $60 bucks so far. I love a hard cover book when I get into these reading moods.

Nite all.

Good morning.
With the temperature in the mid 70’s and already feeling like the low 90’s I think I’m safe saying there will be no lawn cutting by me today! ;)
We had a sky full of sheet lightening last night Kathie but, despite all of the storm warnings, not a drop of rain. Environment Canada says we have a 40% chance of rain all day. Which usually means little or no rain.
Not much else new at this early hour. Gee, I best get my recycle bins to the curb!
Have a fantastic Friday everyone.

78F here in Macomb.

Lee it’s hard to believe that you’re about 1.5 hrs from here and you didn’t get a drop of rain last night. Our creek was up high and this morning everything looks like it got a nice WASHING!
Art is doing a project for Mark/Jill that involves fixing a metal picture frame and cutting DOWN THE GLASS that was in the original frame. Should be easy right! Ha ha…NOT. He went to score and cut the glass and it shattered.
Okay, so we’ll get a piece from one of the glass shops around here. Well, glass AIN’T cheap. Called a few places and finally found a trusting company that did all of our shower doors and got the best price.
Size needed: 29 3/4“ x 8”. Price —- $37.00. Mind you that was the cheapest quote.
Michaels Craft store wanted $70 bucks.
Crazy how expensive glass is. Art said had he known how expensive glass costs he would have just taken it to the glass shop and had them cut it.
And we WON’T be telling the kids how much this little project cost! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:
Today is our trash and recycle day. We had a container full of plastic this week.
Enjoy your day folks.

A quiet day here in The Hutch.
And a warm hot one!
I hope you’re all doing well.

this has been a very quiet day here also. I got up late, as usual did nothing, it got prett;y hot so I didn't go outside, just sat around, Our tomatoes aren't doing too well, not very many on the plants and what is on the plants are growing. Fay thinks the plants are dying. She has been watering them but we need a ground soaking rain,
Have a good night,

We got GLASS at Ace Hdwe. Had to buy a bigger piece of glass than we needed, but got 2 pieces out of it for $19.00 bucks. Amazing! The nice guy cut while we waited. It all worked out great. Art put the picture and frame together and we delivered it to the kids.
Got to see Manny too.
Might get some rain tomorrow. I must say everything is nice and green around here.

The card I sent to Karen over a week ago came back “unable to forward”. I put 2 numbers wrong on it DUH!! Silly me.
I sent Karen a picture of the envelope and she said “ it’s the thought that counts”! Ha ha

Okay going to watch the
11 0’clock news and go to bed.

Nite all. Have a good Sat

Mike: My tomatoes are not doing well this year either. Just too HOT for them if you ask me.

Good morning.
We got a little rain overnight. We may or may not get more today. I don’t understand how with all of the modern technology and satellites I get for different forecasts from four different weather services.
Sorry that the OH and MI tomatoes aren’t doing as well as hoped.
What was their old tag line? Oh ya “Ace is the place”. Seems they still are. A round trip ticket stamp Kathie! The card went to FL and came back to you for the price of a one way trip!
Have a great Saturday everyone.

Happy Saturday Morning GIF by Lucas and Friends by RV AppStudios
I think this might be Karen on her Purple Floaty! Ha Ha.

ENJOY YOUR DAY FOLKS. It's going to be another HOT one here.
I'm going out to trim the TOP few wild branches of the Sargent's Crab tree before it gets to HOT out there.
Then later perhaps a trip to the cottage with my book. Not sure how long I'll last out there in the heat. Too hard to read while floating in the water, so that's out. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

I think a 2nd cup of coffee is called for right now with a Pecan Biscotti. Join me.
