Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

It is pouring, I hope it keeps it up for a while. We are going to Michaels later, Pattie is taking us since Fay does not do the freeways anymore. I think it quit raining:emoticon 0101 sadsmile:
I don’t understand how with all of the modern technology and satellites I get for different forecasts from four different weather services.
Just pick the one you like.
I'll have that cup of coffee later K2.
Have a good day.

Finally, we’re getting a good soaking! And in the midst of the downpour we get a heat warning. That is in effect until Wednesday.
Which ever forecast I pick Mike, it’ll be the wrong one. :emoticon 0140 rofl:
I had the coffee Kathie. Thank you. I kept shaking my iPad but no biscotti fell out.

A damp start to the day. Which is good because the rain is needed. I could have guessed the day would at least start damp because today is the annual car show downtown. No walk along The River this morning!
We had fresh corn on the cob for dinner last night. Because of the off and on drizzle I did it wrapped in foil in the oven. I usually do it on the BBQ but it was still really good. We also picked up local strawberries and blueberries at the same market stand.
Mike, Kathie, Karen…I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday.

Happy Sunday GIF
A tad late in saying Good Morning. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Lee: No rain in our area to speak of. Just a few drops when I was in the car and passed under a cloud.
Today is another MUGGY-HUMID-HOT day. I see a lot of doing nothing. Good time to read the book I got from the library.

Have you ever wrapped your corn on the cob in a wet paper towel and used the microwave?
It also works well if you leave the husks on and put the corn under the kitchen faucet and then put it in the microwave. Just be careful to let the corn sit for a minute or two because it will be very hot.

Off to TOP OFF my coffee. You ALL have a blessed Sunday.

We have red hibiscus flowers! A few popped out this morning.
Lu-Ann was up early so we did get downtown to The Navy Yard before it got too hot or busy. A lot of cars were still arriving. Looks like it will be a good turnout.
I’ve never done corn in the microwave Kathie. Well, if you don’t count Orville Redenbacher‘s pop corn.
Feelin’ mighty warm out right now. Have a good day folks.

Very light rain this morning for a very short time. We had a good time at Michaels yesterday. All of t he family was there so that made it ver;y nice. We have 4 or 5 red hibiscus every morning, There is a tune with a turkey singing, same person that did the original. If I can find it I will post it. My Father grew his corn, I tried growing it and I think the squirrels loved it. I rode my Grand Marquii in an antiqui parade after I gave it to my daughter. That car was a boat and had a very smooth ride. I bought a small checy truck after that and my son has it now. 2000 and still going strong. Have a good da yl

AccuWeather say as the real feel is 107F. No day to wander the car show!
“A good time was had by all“ at Michael’s as they say Mike. I’m guessing the heat has brought out about a dozen more white and half a dozen more red blooms. The hibiscus plants are just loaded!
I had seen that clip of Sir Rod Stewart in Toronto Kathie. He sure knows how to play to the crowd even at 80 years young. They interviewed the lady who sang it on CBC News.
A nice fillet of salmon and some veg for dinner tonight. I’m looking forward to it.

An early fog to start this Monday. The heat of the day, expected to feel around 105F, could bring afternoon showers.
We have a busy week ahead. Today is our weekly games day here. Either tomorrow or Wednesday we get together with friends who are visiting from Kitchener, Thursday is lunch with other friends at Colasanti’s Green House and restaurant and Friday is Lu-Ann’s PD drum fit.
I hope you all have a fantastic day today and week ahead!

It's days like today that I wish this was me in my neighbors POOL that is not being used while they are at work! :emoticon 0136 giggle: Wish I had enough nerve to just go over and jump in! Ha Ha. Not happening.

Mike:
Green Beans picked EARLY this morning. If they were out there any longer they would get 'woody'. Enough to use 2 times. And more coming.

Lee:
Sounds like you have a nice line up of things to keep you busy.

I need a few things from Costco, but they CAN and WILL have to wait for a cooler day. Walking in that parking lot is not something I want to do when it's 100F outside.

I've been reading my book (inside) and taking a coffee break. Later all.

Hello to Karen, Kathi Allen if she's reading along too/

rainy day GIF
We sure got BUCKETS of rain around 3:45! The famous CREEK is REALLY REALLY HIGH. Nothing for us to worry about. The ducks are loving it.
Lots of flooding n freeways, airport, etc. The grass and plants love it!
Temps dropped from 94F to 74F. Still muggy, but not bad.
Art sat on the deck under the awning during the entire rainfall. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:
Hope you guys are all okay.

Trying one more time to post a picture from my photos.
And just like that it WORKED THIS TIME AROUND.

MIKE: Art picked these early this morning. I must say they sure are tender and yummy.

We’ve had an epic thunderstorm and downpour here too Kathie! I cant remember the lat time we had that much thunder and lightning. But, as you said Kathie, we and the farmers needed it. I had trouble posing my hibiscus picture the other day too.

Lee, K2, I wish we would get your downpours. We get a very light rain for a very short time, it just wets the cement a little, dont think it helps t he grass or tomatoes. , Speaking of tomatoes, a squirrel must of got the grape tomato we were watching,, it is gone.
I got up a little earlier than usual, ate breakfast, sat on the couch and promply went to sleep, life is tough.
Those beans look pretty good Kathi, how often does Art pick them. I tried addlng a picture yesterday and gave up.
You and Lu-Ann will be ready to rest a while this weekend Lee. It does sound like you will have an enjoyable rest of the week. I hope the heat doesn't' slow you down We are getting a lot of red hibiscus now and will for a while. They are drooping a lot because of the heat
I noticed I didn't enlarge the print what I posted yesterday, will try to remember to enlarge the print today.

Wow, is it ever foggy here this morning. We can hear the fog horns down on The River.
Sadly Mike, between the heat and the storm yesterday a lot of our hibiscus blooms dropped or were knocked off way too early. Darned critters stealing your tomato!
Your beans looked nice Kathie.
There were only six of us for games day yesterday. I find that to be a good number. We played UNO Flip.
Not sure what today will bring. It looks like another hot day with humidex values reaching as high as 105F. One of the weather services is calling for another round of heat triggered thunderstorms. I guess we’ll see.
I’m going to go water Lu-Ann’s planters. Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning Wrabbits.

Not sure what's on the agenda, but the Kitchen Floor is starting to TALK to me. I should just do it and get it out of the way!

Art is biking in this heat AGAIN. Bless the man for being able to tolerate the heat. I tell him to stay home and he doesn't listen.

Mike Art has only picked the beans 3 times so far. Maybe by the weekend he'll pick again. We only have 4 Bush Bean plants, but they're doing a good job.
I have 2 Tomatoes in a pot that have turned Orangish/Red and are about the size of a golf ball. I should pick them so the Squirrels don't get them first or the birds.

You all have a good day and drink a lot of water if you're outside.

DANG IT WAS UGLY hot today.
A5D8B263-2E9C-40F8-9E32-80BBF811075F.jpeg We went to the Shamrock Bar for dinner. And yes, I had a really good cold Bloody Mary and a delicious “hamburger”. Ha ha.

Tomorrow ( Wednesday) should be interesting weather-wise.
Nite all.
