Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Good Morning Love GIF by ircha_gram
I'm ready for that fresh cup of coffee from MIKE's new coffee pot!
Hope it's working good for you and Fay.

Lee: NO rain here last night. Cloudy right now, but I need to water the front yard plants.

Nice of you to book the hotels for the trip both ways to Florida for next year. Hopefully, you guys won't end up in Guatemala in some cage! Ha Ha. Just kidding. Just make sure to have back-up copies of all your certificates in case some get lost. Maybe by next year things will calm down and the Moron would have taken a ride on one of the Space ships and it blows up!
The downside of that is we'd end up with Vance and he might even be crazier.:oops:

Art is going to a fellow bikers SURPRISE B-Day party in Swartz Creek, MI today. It's about 1.5 hours from our house on I-75. The man has had major health issues and doesn't ride with the group anymore, but keeps in touch.

I'll continue to read my book. I managed to get 3 mosquito bites yesterday. I walked to the end of the creek and I think that's where they got me. I'm going to go to the hdwe store and see about a FOGGER to spray the deck area. I'm so sensitive to the bites that it takes a good week and half or 2 weeks for them to stop itching. HATE IT./

I hope our Miss Karen is still saying a prayer for the Bunny Group when she goes to church. Sure do miss her. She must have gotten my snail mail card by now. No reply from her. Bummer.

Take care and enjoy the day.

Last night’s dinner plans got switched to tonight. Luckily none of us had plans for this evening so it all worked out.
We had a few drops of rain here but not enough to hardly wet the ground. It continues to be muggy though.
You need to live near us Kathie. Mosquitos and all the other bugs seem to gravitate towards poor Lu-Ann. That way they’d leave you alone.

Lee. the new coffee maker is working just fine, It uses Kcups, same as the old one. Florence Ky just across the river from Cinci. If you will be staying there maybe we can get together. We have the same pattern also. Great minds think alike. I suggested we take Linda out side with us since she is a mosquito magnet, Between her and Lu-Ann we would never be botherd by mosquitos.
I'll make some coffee tomorrow morning K2, join me for a cup , You are welcome to come also Lee.
Its nice that Art and his fellow bikers keep in touch. I'm sure it means a lot to the biker.
Our Grandson was on a business trip to Boston. On his flight back home to California he stopped here. His parent came here also to see him. We had a nice time chatting.
Hope you all have a restful night,

Well it sounds like we all had a good weekend. :clap002:

We’re going to have to do a lot of WATERING around here in the morning. Rain isn’t expected here until Thurs if we’re lucky.

I have to take the balance of the “Siding” payment to their office in the morning. It’s less than a mile from our house. So much cheaper than using a stamp! Ha ha.

Mike: I’ll take you up on that morning coffee. Glad you got to see your Grandson.

Lee: You and Lu-Ann have a lovely home and yard too.

Good Night GIF

Good Morning!
Just checkin‘ in. Albeit a tad later than usual.
Back later. In the meantime everyone have a fantastic Monday.

It’s Mnny’s 3rd Birthday today. Wow…..time flys by way to quick.

F5DAA7B9-29A8-4091-AF13-08177392D5D0.webp Mike I just made these Blueberry Scones to go with your coffee. Everyone help yourselves. Jill picked the blueberries the other day!

Those scones look AMAZING Kathie. I thought we could smell them down at The Navy Yard this morning! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANNY!
How nice to be able to get together for a visit with your Grandson Mike. We try to break up our trip south as best as we can. Day 1 (day 3 coming home) is always a little shorter mileage but we factor in time at the border. Days 2 and 3 (1 and 2 coming home) are about 6 1/2 hours drive time each. A couple of comfort and food stops make them about 8 hours.
Ian and Petch put out an amazing Thai inspired dinner. Like all of us likely tend to do there were 6 of us and food for 10!
I’m thinking how much a good cup of coffee from Mike and a delicious scone from Kathie would make a nice, light lunch.

Our first hibiscus flower of the season just popped out! Lots more buds to open.
IMG_7700.jpeg

A pretty hibiscus Lee, We have buds but nothing ready to come out.
Kathie, I had to hide the blueberry scones from Fay, she loves blueberries. They will go well with the coffee which I will make as soon as I finish here. Happy Birthday Manny.
Its 83 and mostly sunny. Come and get the coffee
.

We went downtown to Belle Isle to see the remodeled Planetarium and the Aquarium. BOTH CLOSED BECAUSE IT’s MONDAY. Geez.
Then we drove to Mexican Village area and the 1st restaurant was closed “It’s MONDAY! We found anothwr placw we use to go to and it was open and we had a delightful Mexican Lunch/Dinner. Yum.
Then we went to the Michigan train station that Bill Ford and company restored. Holy moley….it’s awesome! The place was close for DECADES upon DECADES and they manged to restore it.
Lee if you ever want to see something beautiful male the trip to see this Place. You can’t go up on any of the upper floors, but you can walk around the main floor. WOW! They even left some of the graffiti on an engrace wall area to show just what it looked like. It’s a miracle and blessing this Gem got saved. Enlarge the pictures to really get a good look. Wow.

Good morning.
It’s not quite 6:00 a.m. so I’ll be very quiet.
Beautiful restoration of the train station Kathie! I looked up the station on Wikipedia and what a history the building has. Any scones left? ;)
That hibiscus hadn’t even fully opened when I took the picture Mike. A quick peek outside this morning and it looks like we could have a few more burst out today.
Yesterday was a perfect summer day. Warm in the sun but no humidity. We actually sat out on our little back porch for a bit last evening. Today should bring us more of the same.
Everyone, no matter where the day takes you, please have a good one.

Good Morning Coffee GIF
Plenty of Scones left Lee. And I had one yesterday and it was still very tasty.
Lee: You and Lu-Ann should make a trip over to see that building. No Charge, except for the atrocious tunnel fees. Parking is free. Think about it.

Another BEAUTIFUL "PURE MICHIGAN" day coming up here. Enjoy your day. I'll be back!

IMG_7703.jpeg
Sitting down by The Navy Yard. It is a perfect weather day. We just enjoyed a coffee and a blueberry scone at one of our local cafes.
Some day we’ll take a trip across the border Kathie. We have to renew our out of province medical insurance first!

Yikes.....I never thought of "medical insurance" Lee. Just give us some warning and we can meet up with you guys and maybe go to the Mexican place for lunch. Not sure if you're into Mexican food, but we'd find something.

I've been reading out on the deck and all but fell asleep. Couldn't ask for a nicer day.

Love the picture of King's Navy Yard Park. Nice stone and flowers. Did you see any freighters?

We see freighters of all sizes pretty much every day. There are two channels. For the most part ships go up toward Detroit on our side of Boblo and come back in the channel on the other side.
Since all of the cross border stuff started we didn’t renew our out of province health insurance. I need to call Mary and ask if it’s less expensive to carry it for 10 weeks in the winter or to have year round coverage and top up the coverage for when we’re away. Even with year round we’re only covered for 30 days outside of Canada. Cash grab if you ask me.

Nice picture of the stone and trees Lee. I bet that is a perfect place to sit on a hot day, We have one hibiscus ready to pop out. There are a lot of buds so it should be prett;y this year. Our Crepe Myrtles look nice, one is light and the other is dark pink.
There are a lot of old train stations that have not been destroyed ar completely redone. Cinci has a very nice one that has a new life and looks very good K2.
We (mostly Fay ) worked out side today. We have 1 milkweed plant coming up. It may be too late to get an;y seed pods but I'm hopeful, I haven't seen a monarch butterfly in years. Maybe with the milkweed plant we will get some.
It's another pefect day outside for me,(85 and sunny)
Hope the rest of the day goes well for you.

Good morning.
Not much new here this morning.
I think both Lu-Ann and I nodded off on the back porch last evening Kathie. Then we bundled Ava into the car and went for a walk along The River through Fort Malden.
Our white hibiscus has a good dozen buds ready to or in the process of bursting out Mike. And many more to come. The red one is lagging a little behind. I took that picture while sitting on the front porch of a ladies wear shop in town. Linda’s has nice clothes for the ladies and four big, comfy chairs on the wrap around porch.
Train stations truly used to be the hub of the cities and towns everywhere. I think that they still are to an extent in Europe.
I think today is going to be the last nice day before the real humidity sets in for another spell.
Have a great day!

Wednesday Morning GIF by Lucas and Friends by RV AppStudios
Posted this just in case one of us forgets what day it is!

Art is busy digging a trench where the underground drain from one of the gutters stretches out into the grass and then pops up when water flows through it. Over the years it has SUNK a tad. He’s going to lift it up and put some pebbles under it. He got a early start so as to miss the HEAT we’re suppose to get today! Right now it’s SO QUIET AROUND HERE. ONLY HERE THE BIRDS.
Lee, nice that you got a evening walk in at the park.

HERE’s the worker doing his thing with the underground drain! Notice he has his BACK BRACE on! Smart man.

I’m enjoying the peace and quick and my coffee on the deck.
You all have a good day!
