Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Wow. If I’d known you were up at 2:28 a.m. I would have popped on to say “hi” Kathie. I was awake the too. It did look and sound like you were having a nice afternoon by the lake.
Good morning everyone. Guess who actually slept until 6:05 this morning? Now my whole day will be off. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
How are the odds looking for your rain today Mike?
Like you, I really wish Karen would pop by to say “hi” or tell us she just has too much going on to visit. I did send her a note and she assured me everything was OK. But she didn’t stop by here. I do worry about her.
I’m sure that sometimes we all feel like stopping by is “a job” or a bit of a bother. But it only takes a minute to come by. I think of all of the amazing folks and in some cases their families that I’ve met through our little board. Many in person. I’d be poorer if I hadn’t got to know and meet you.
I’m going to get the trimming done and at least the front yard cut this morning. It’s as cool as it’s been for a week and I want to take advantage of that to get outdoor chores tended to.
You all have a wonderful Monday.

Yup..........it is MONDAY. Suppose to get to 87F today. And the rest of the week is going to be just as hot with some showers here and there starting Wednesday. Enjoy it while we have it. Soon it will be ......( I won't say it, but it starts with a "S"!)

Bummer I missed you early in the morning Lee. I think I ate too much RICH food and had a hard time staying asleep!

Mike: Hope you and Fay are doing okay over your way. Art will be picking the 1st of our Green Beans today. I'll try and take a picture to show you.

Gutter guys are coming either today or tomorrow. Not sure which day. I did open the garage about 1/4 way to show we are up!

My very best friend, Elaine, is having some type of heart surgery tomorrow. Not sure exactly what the name is, but she isn't suppose to have her chest cracked open. She's down to about 70 pounds and I worry about her. She has the daughter, Stacey, that comes from Santa Monica, California to be with her. Feel badly for Stacey having to travel back and forth lately to be with her Mom. But Elaine moving to California at her age and with her health issues is out of the question.

Okay, you all have a nice day. I'm going to send Karen a Snail-Mail card today.

Have A Nice Day Morning GIF by Lucas and Friends by RV AppStudios

The front yard is cut, Ava has been to The Navy Yard and I’m enjoying a second cup of coffee. I tried to get over the pain I suffered when you made fun of my stubbed toe Kathie. It is a lovely shade of black and blue. I’m trying to decide if I should call the doc or a toe truck! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: Even if I did break it there’s nothing they do except tell you to “suck it up buttercup”.

Lee, we did get some rain this morning, just enough to wet the cement, not nearly enough to do any good.
I hope your toe pain goes away soon. I bet it is throbbing pretty bad. At least it is a lovely shade of black and blue. I guess a splint if not an option.
I'm sorry about your friend K2, Has she always been that thin or she lose her weight recently? Thanks for sending a card to Karen, I hope you get some kind of reply

Good morning.
I see time behind my little lawn mower this morning because, like yesterday, it’s cooler this morning. Later on it’s supposed to feel a tad over 90F which is cool compared to what we’ve seen lately.
A little rain like that, I’ve heard, is worse for lawns and gardens than no rain Mike. The toe was a little sore last evening. I think a small splint would only aggravate the toes around the culprit.
There may have only ”bean” 10 Kathie but I bet they were very flavourful! Our thoughts are with you and Elaine as she undergoes her heart procedure today. Any word from the gutter guys?
We’re meeting friends from Kitchener where we used to live today at Burger 67 in town. Paul and Myra are visiting friends who live about 30 minutes from here. Should be fun. Paul refuses to cross the border so they are not going to Florida this winter. That means we won’t see them there.
Hmmm. Would I like a coffee before I get my day really going? What a silly question.
All of you have a fantastic day.

Good Morning.
Off to drive to the BIG Hospital in Royal Oak to sit with Stacey while her Mom has her surgery. It's the least thing I can do.

Lee: Sounds like you guys might still go to Florida in the Winter of 2026? Yes ,No, Maybe??? You have time to make up your minds.

Okay, I have to go. Beans didn't get eaten last night. Maybe tonight!

Enjoy your day Wrabbits.

That is very sweet of you Kathie to sit with Stacey Kathit, every one should have a friend as nice as you. enjoy your beans tonight
I don't think the rain got to the roots of any plants Lee. I noticed some of the leaves on trees are drooping. I have never met Paul but I think I like him Hmmm. Would I like a coffee before I get my day really going? What a silly question also is the pope Catholic.
Fay took me to the barber to day, always nice to get that over with.

I stopped going to the barber Mike. It turned out it was a clip joint. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: Sorry the water only teased your plants. I remember that question about The Pope. I usually got it right.
Hope all is well for you Kathie, Stacie and Elaine.
Lunch was great. The company even better.

LONG DAY! Elaine made it through the heart surgery. Per her Doctor everything went very good and once healed Elaine should feel much better.
She is all bones. Once she got into her room she was talking with us. Wanted to know if we got something to “eat”. Very carrying person.
She’ll be in the hospital for a day or two per her doctor.
Thanks for all your concerns.
Gutters were installed while both Art & I were away. Art got to see them put the last few up when he got home from his bike ride.
Just in time for Wednesday possible rains!

Nice haircut Mike! Good to know I’m not the only one that makes their husband get a HAIRCUT!
I need to take a break now. It was 93 degrees (regular temp) on my drive home.

Thanks for the update Kathie! I’m amazed how quickly they get heart surgery patients up and about. A big sigh of relief for all of you.

Good mid week Wednesday morning.
I’m glad Ava and I are early risers. We’re done our walk, the planters are watered and it’s already a humid 73F.
I hope Elaine continues to have good days Kathie. Did she get a little pillow to hold on her incision if she needs to cough?
I’ve not got much else this morning so I’ll quietly finish my coffee and wish you all a good day.

IT RAINED THIS MORNING.:emoticon 0137 clapping: I wont know until tomorrow how muc;h rain we got but the streets were pretty wet. Its only 83 now so it will be a much cooler day today. Our youngest daughter and her husband are coming over today, it will be nice to see them. She lives near Dayton, about 40 minutes from here.
Will you be able to loaf the rest of the day Lee? or will you get bored with nothing to do? I never heard putting a pillow over an incision, what a great idea but it is probably well known except for me.
Glad all went well for Elaine Kathie. How did the hair cut go???? Did you touch it up when you got home?

We got a little rain this morning too Mike. There have been clouds and thunder off and on this afternoon but no rain. When I got my heart surgery they gave everyone a bright red pillow made by volunteers. It is about a foot square and 4 inches thick. If you were going to cough, which they encouraged you to do, you clutched the pillow over your incision and “hung on for dear life”. Enjoy your visit with your daughter and husband.

Always feel good to get the haircut.

We had a really good RAIN SHOWER around 1:30 pm. Tight nos at 6:30 pm it’s ugly muggy outside.
But it’s always nice to get a free grass watering!
New gutters did their job! Ha ha.

A dear friend that was a life-long church buddy in my older brothers age group passed Monday. When Art & I went for our drive to St Clair on Sunday we passed his large home on the water. We usually stop to say hello and walk out on the dock. There were a lot of cars around the house and we figured his kids and grandkids were visiting. Good thing we didn’t stop. He was on home hospice and passed the next day. I had been going to that lake home since I was 5 yrs old with my family. Last time J saw “Sonny” was at my Godfathers funeral in Oct 2024. He was in that same group that grew up together. Now there is 1 fella left from the group.

Later gang
