Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

91 today and high uv, good day to stay out of the sun. Still no rain and a chance this Wed. I haven't looked at our front yard but I'm guessing it is turning brown in a few spots.
Kathie, I don't think Fay will get a new car until someone shoots her old one. I don't think she likes the kids are driving. One of them the car is too small, I ask her how many miles does she get on a rubber band and the other twos cars are a little large. She looks at the inside of a new car and she says no way. Hope your PT went well and Novak won.
Lee, just too hot to do any kind of work. We have a friend that has passed out twice from working in this heat. He was careful the secong time and still passed out, luckily he was inside a cool house when he did and his dogs woke him up. Fay worries about me also, every time I get on the lawn tractor she is watching me. Does staying inside help Lu-Ann?
I sat outside lastnight after 8 after it had cooled down, it felt good to get outside, may do it again tonight.
stay cool

“Feelin‘ hot, hot, hot”. Oh, hi there. Just me singing that song. Again. We have extreme heat warnings in place until THURSDAY of next week!
Good that your siding team got finished today Kathie. I like that they started at 7:00 and were wrapped up around 2:00.
Staying inside does help Lu-Ann a tad but then she starts to feel like she has cabin fever! We did go out to our drumfit class at 11:30.
Nice that you’re able to sit out a night Mike. We had a real 1/2 hour thunderstorm here around 1:00. But all that did was super heat the air when the sun came back out. Cars. Ya kinda need one but they’re like Goldilocks trying to find the right bed! Some are too small, too big, too much money, not great gas mileage and not comfortable enough!
Have a good evening and try to stay safe and cool.

Mike: Our boy.... NOVAK... LOST today. So he's out of the finals. He hurt himself yesterday and today he was a mess on the court. Felt really bad for him. He needed to move on and WIN the finals to beat or tie Federoff . (not sure how to spell it)

Those siding guys are going to be REAL HAPPY they are finished, because tomorrow is going to be a KILLER DAY here in our area.

I went grocery shopping and am SO HAPPY that I went tonight. I was sweating just putting the bags in the trunk and bringing them into the house. I just turned down the A/C to get this place cooler.

You all behave tomorrow.

9:00 pm. POURING RAIN HEAR NOW. CREEK IS COMING UP FAST.

Without any gutters on the house we have a “Waterfall” on the corners of the house. Amazing amount of water. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Good morning.
As Ava and I were out for our already hot and humid early walk we encountered a lot of people out for a jog or run. WHY? It already felt like 97F! I guess they figured it’s only going to get more uncomfortable as the day goes on.
Sorry that your guy, Novak, lost at Wimbledon Kathie. At that level it’s hard to play hurt.
Coffee on Mike?
The electric bill for the hutch is sure gonna be higher what with leaving a light on for Karen.
Have a great, safe and cool day folks.

Gotta have a cup of coffee! You guys enjoy yours too!

Lee posted: The electric bill for the hutch is sure gonna be higher what with leaving a light on for Karen.
Thanks for the morning laugh Lee. We could always bill Karen if she continues this "stand-off"

Art was having issues with his bike making a noise and worked on it and got nowhere. He took it over to one of the few GOOD BIKE SHOPS still open and the guy called him last night to say it was his wheel, etc, etc. This morning the guy called and told Art while he has his bike torn apart there was another issue he should get fixed. This guy is VERY TRUSTWORTHY and HONEST so Art trusts his word.
Art just left to go there to see exactly what needs to be done.
This kind of reminds me of Mike telling us about Fay's car issues. Art has so much money invested in this bike that he'll pay to get it fixed and still be ahead of the game. He said it's harder and harder to find capable bike repair shops. Seems like the younger generation just goes out and buys a new bike when theirs fails because they have the money. Crazy.

Okay, I'm out of here. Need to pay some bills later and try and walk around and check if my garden plants survived the hard rain from last evening.

MIKE: Art checked out his Bush Beans and we should be getting enough this coming week to cook them up to go with our dinner. Nothing better than fresh Green Beans.
It's the time of the year that all the VEGGIES start coming in fast. Gotta eat them while they're around. More dinners of just cooked veggies is a good thing for our health.

KAREN: It's SATURDAY..... find a SECOND to post a quick hello on here.... PLEASE.
Thanks kiddo.

I don’t know about your area Mike but there is a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for us and what I can see for Kathie too. If the thunder roars go indoors!
We have a really good, so I’m told, bike shop here in The Burg Kathie. It’s called Flow and it’s down by The Navy Yard. Sales and service and they seem to have a lot of high end bikes. A lot of riders pass through here and they always seem busy. They also have a little coffee shop for those waiting for a quick repair or those just wanting a comfortable place to take a dog for a coffee. I should clarify. Coffee for the people and dogs are welcome. I know Mike would jump on that one!
I’m going to finish my coffee and then finish blowing up our drumfit balls. Some days it seems that my work here is never done. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

K2, I have a friend that stops while he is riding his bike or walking his dogs. He repairs bikes for a minimum charge and donates the mone;y. Word has gotten out and he can't keep up with the work. He has gotten pratically new bikes to donate. fAY used to grow white half runners but there is a road side stand close to us and now she gets th em from there along other items. Hope your plants survived.
when I was walking on the bike path years ago I met the same people over and over. A few times I would see some one once or twice then never see them again.
I should clarify. Coffee for the people and dogs are welcome. I know Mike would jump on that one! WHO ME :conf05:: Our sever thunderstorm is coming in around 8 this evening. There is a 99% chance of rain so hopefully we will get some much needed rain this time.
92 degrees outside. 93 now
STAY C00L

That was some storm we had! I looked out front just in time to see one of Lu-Ann’s planters blow over. I ran out to move them all out of harms way. One of the plants suffered some damage. I got soaked. I went out to set things up again and couldn’t believe how humid it was after the storm.
It’s funny how people, even on a path, pop in and out of our lives Mike. We have noticed the same thing at The Navy Yard. I hope you get the rain you need.
Eggplant Parmesan and a little pasta for dinner tonight. Mmmm.

Almost dinner time here. Just a few more minutes! In my next life I think I'd like to come back as a MALE! The thought of NOT having to make dinners for decades would be great!
Coming back as a millionaire would also solve a lot of cooking issues! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

LEE: The temps dropped 25 degrees during the rain and the HUMIDITY was gone. Well, gone until the sun came back out. The REAL FEEL right now at 6:00pm is 97Degrees out there. All humidity is back. Crazy weather.

We wanted to go to the lake this afternoon, but it would be even worse right by the water. The lake water would be like soup! Not for me.

Later guys. I'm having a 1/2 glass of BEER with my dinner. Just felt like something nice and cold.

I think we're going to get more storms later tonight.

The AMERICAN GAL DID NOT win the Wimbledon today. Bummer. She tried real hard. I felt bad for her.

84F and feels like 98F here at 6:30 Kathie. The temperature hardly dropped at all during our storm.
“Crazy weather.“ I couldn’t agree more.

Good Sunday morning everyone.
It was cooler when we started off on our early walk. Until we got going and you could feel the humidity a tad more. Lots of bunnies hopping around neighbours yards too.
I stubbed my middle toe yesterday afternoon. This morning it hurts like heck! I’ll have to have a better look at it when it gets lighter. Or, here’s a thought, I could turn on a light and look at it! ;)
Even if your plans for the day are simply to put your feet up and enjoy a hot or cold beverage I hope you have a good one. Beverage and day.

Okay, NOT FUNNY when it hurts. Epsom salt soak might help. ;)
(that was a free consultation)

Happy Sunday GIF
Hope our KAREN is still thinking of us and saying a prayer if she's in church today. Maybe we'll get a "Hello hutch mates" from her soon!

You all have a safe and nice Sunday. It's plain ole UGLY outside and I'm sure it will only be getting worse as the day goes on.

Later........... We hope to drive somewhere close to the water in Port Huron and have a late lunch/early dinner at the Voyager restaurant. They make good Bloody Mary's. That's a long way to go for one, but I'm starting to get HOUSEBOUND and need to get out and about.

Does a Bloody Mary count as a “boat drink” Kathie? Is “housebound” kinda like cabin fever?
Hmmm. “Boat Drinks”. “Cabin Fever”. That reminds me of another one of my fun and favourite Jimmy Buffett tunes. I miss his music and am so glad Lu-Ann and I got to see him perform from Toronto to Key West and some great venues in between. I hope you enjoy this one.

Have a great afternoon everyone.

So much for that %90 chance of rain this evening, but wait there is 1 inch or rain predicted for Monday, lay your bets people. I don't have the odds.
I hope you needed the rain Lee. Temps dropped about 15 degrees and we didn't get the expected wind.
I hope you enjoyed your beer Kathie. If you do come back it will be as a short order cook

I forgot to post th above last night,

Listening to a guy playing the Piano.
Lots of boats out today. Draw bridge just opened up.
We saw 2 freighters. One from White Fish Bay!

I forgot to post th above last night,

The answer to the question is “yes”.
I asked Lu-Ann if we should go to Costco after lunch today. She asked “What are you, nuts?” Insert answer here. o_O
We had another downpour on our way home from Costco Mike. The temperature on Subie’s dashboard dropped from 87F to 72F in about 15 minutes. It’s back up to 84F but feels closer to 100F! I don’t like not knowing the odds on that Monday rain bet.

Kathie that food, dessert and beverage sure do look good. Your note made me think of two more songs. Both of which are WAAAY too long to share here. Piano Man by Billy Joel at almost six minutes and Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald by Gordon Lightfoot at 6 minutes and 30 seconds.
I sometimes hate having so many songs taking up space in my noggin!
Enjoy the rest of your day my friends.

Mike — NO Beer for me. I had a Bloody Mary.

All nice songs you were thinking of Lee. I actually put a couple of bucks in the piano players jar! He played nice stuff!

Karen‘s last post was 9 weeks ago.

Might be it’s time to send out the Canadian Mounties!

The United States FBI is a mess and not sure they would be as helpful.
You all have a good Monday. We might get gutters today. :clap002:
