Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Congrats Mike & Fay on your Grandson’s engagement. How special.

We had a fun day at the lake cottage. Never saw so much boat traffic on the lake as today! We got a pontoon boat ride from our nephew and Art dozed off from the boat motion. Too funny. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
Lots of food and chatter. Our nephew is doing an amazing job recovering from rectal colon cancer. He had had chem and doing months of radiation right now and takes 7 chemo pills everyday. Still has his beard and good sense of humor. :emoticon 0115 inlove:

Here’s some pics!

Hope you all had a good day!
Amazingly the fireworks have stopped and it’s only 11 O’clock!

What a great way to spend your July 4th Kathie! Family, friends and food.
How was dinner Mike? Was the restaurant busy? Holidays sure can affect the crowds.
We had a big downpour last evening. It lasted about 45 minutes and all it did was make things wet and add to the humidity. Today is supposed to feel between 104F and 106F with the humidity. Way too hot way too soon. Thank heavens for air conditioning.
Everyone stay safe and cool.

GOOD MORNING!
Try and stay COOL today. Like Lee mentioned heat index will be crazy high.

Hope
KATEN’s area didn’t get hit too hard with the rain storms Florida was having yesterday.

Those a great pictures K2, it looks like everyone is having a great time. Your Nephew's sense of humor has to be helping him out. It would be hard to have a better 4th than you and Art had.
Dinner was good Lee, not too crowded, I think they had the usual crowd of senior citizens. It is 90 now, it may get a little warmer but not much. I was sitting out for a bit and it didn't feel all that hot in the shade.
Fay watered the gourd seeds for me today. She said by the time she gets the car out of the garage and opens the gate to the back yard she could have it done.
Fay just offered me some ice cream, who am I to refuse, have a great day

93+F here and overly humid!
Thank goodness the 4th of July celebration at the lake was yesterday. We would have “wilted” out there today.

Be safe folks and stay inside! :emoticon 0115 inlove:

I don't ever recall seeing the temperature on Subie reading 97F. But that’s what it registered coming back from watering Lisa’s vegetable garden this afternoon.
I bet there’s not a fan to be had in any of the stores around here Kathie.
It was a good 10 degrees cooler along The River this morning Mike. We wanted to get Ava out before it got too hot for her. And us! Glad dinner was enjoyable. I’m sure to company played a big part in that.
I simply find that I can’t eat ice cream like I used to. It sits like a big old lump in my tummy. I will chance a wee scoop now and again but…
Have a good evening everyone.

Another very hot and humid day. I think everyone is starting to tire and wear down from the extreme heat over the past couple of weeks.
Even Ava didn’t get up for her early walk. Hopefully we can get her down to The Navy Yard before it gets completely unbearable.
I’m going to get moving here and water Lu-Ann’s planters. And then maybe an early coffee.
I hope all of you are going to have a great Sunday. Stay cool and drink lots of water!

When ART says it's HOT OUTSIDE you better believe it's REALLY HOT! Hydrate folks and better yet STAY INSIDE until this HEAT calms down!

This is ART coming in from taking down the Robins perch under the overhang.
Tomorrow, they start working on our SIDING! Supposed to take the rest of the week. Better them than me.

HI KAREN..... hope you know we all miss you. Drop in and tell us you and your sisters are okay. Thanks. I've been watching your heat and rain and hopefully you're staying inside.

As noon approaches the thermometer says it‘s 84F but feels like 100F. We did manage to get to The Navy Yard. There was a beautiful breeze along The River that pretty much disappeared a block away in town. If Art was doing the birds nests I can only guess that it may even be too hot for biking Kathie? Have you seen Karen on her church services? Like you I worry about her, her sisters and why she doesn’t pop by to say “hi”.
Our back yard still needs cutting. But it will be there patiently waiting for tomorrow morning when it is supposed to better and feel like 72F.
I hope that you have a nice shady spot to sit and enjoy another coffee Mike.
Oh boy, time to hit the treadmill! And then a spot of lunch. We’re having a nice refreshing taco salad for dinner with a small garlic Parmesan breadstick.
Have a good afternoon everyone.

I would let the back yard cutting for a while Lee. I don't think the grass will grow to much in t his heat. By 5 our entire back yard is shady. Hard to grow a nice garden in that much shade and even harder to grow gourds. everyone is starting to tire and wear down from the extreme heat over the past couple of weeks. I'm not.:emoticon 0103 cool: While you are watereing Lu-Ann's planters you can water my gourds. :emoticon 0105 wink:
I hope Art didn't get too hot Kathie. I don't envy your siding guys, maybe they can get into the shade a little.
It's 90 at 2:oclock and hopefully it wont get too mucy hotter but the temps can rise until around 5, About and hour from now Fay will walk in and ask if I want some ice cream.. Is the pope Catholic?:emoticon 0131 angel:

So Mike, IS indeed The Pope Catholic? I remember that wise crack answer / question to so many things when I was younger. ”What flavour ice cream” I wondered aloud?
90F feeling like 106F. Make it stop!

Just hit 97F and who knows what the REAL FEEL is like.

Got to drive over and visit the kids and MANNY of course.
I take a dog biscuit with me and he digs his nose into my shorts pocket
to get it out.

Stay cool folks.

Good Monday morning.
It’s only 71F to start the day. But a little of the humidity has stuck around.
Today is our regular Monday games day. Being at Jim and Gail’s they’re thinking pool time. It’s funny. I enjoy the pool in FL but not so much here. Either way I will excuse myself early to take Ava for her nail trim later uthis afternoon.
How was your visit with Manny Kathie? Oh, and the kids too. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
I may even wait until tomorrow to tackle the grass Mike. It’s supposed to be a lot cooler.
Have a great Monday everyone.

Good morning!

The Siding guy was here at 7:05 a.m. YIKES.......!! Good thing Art was up and ready for him.
It's going to be a long day and week! :emoticon 0104 surprised:

Lee: Have fun at the pool party. And I agree with you. Something about being in Florida and in a pool or by the water makes a big difference.
Our visit with Manny is always fun. I swear that he has to be the most spoiled dog around. But still cute! Ha ha.

Mike: Our tomatoes and peppers are showing signs we will have a small crop this year. Even Art's Bush Green Beans are doing a good job.

You all have a good day and I'll check with you later.
Liking the lower temps today.

And with that, breakfast is done, the grass is cut and Lu-Ann, Ava and I have been to The Navy Yard. Now we’re just finishing up a delightful coffee. The Park was bustling this morning. Lots of friends and their pups out for a stroll. And Lu-Ann’s chums, the squirrels, looking for their peanuts. After a few days without them the fishflies were back in full force yesterday and again this morning. Lu-Ann popped in to the ATM at our bank and the doors, lobby and machines were covered! It’s sad when nobody from the business will get a broom and sweep them off.
Wow Kathie! The siding guys sure wasted no time getting there and set up this morning! I hope your neighbours are good natured about an early wake up call! I’ve never known contractors to be the quietest guys when they’re setting up.
I don’t know about the pool festivities. It sure looks like we could see some rain. Plus, the restoration contractors are starting Jim’s basement today. Oh well.
Hi Mike.
And of course Karen.

NO NOISE from the siding guys. You hear a drill every so often, but that's it. One side of the overhang is done and matches the tones of the brick and window colors very nicely. Heck, if it didn't match perfectly in a few days you'd never notice it. It's not like it's RED and BLUE difference! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

I had a carton of Blueberries that needed to either be eaten on cereal or made into a Blueberry-Lemon loaf. The Loaf was the choice! I got 2 medium size loafs and 1 smaller alum throw away container. The freezer will love me.

Novak Djokovic just won another match at Wimbelton . He struggled against a 20 some-year old fella, but experience won in the end.

It’s a beautiful evening here too Kathie. It spit rain a tad off and on throughout the afternoon. Hardly enough to wet anything. But it seems to have taken the humidity out of the air.

Bright, sunny and 62F! I had forgotten what a nice cool morning felt like. I’m seeing enjoying a coffee on the back porch this morning. Wishing I had a slice of blueberry loaf to go with it.
Good Morning everyone!
Not sure what the day may bring your way but I hope you all enjoy it.
