Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Good evening!
Drum Fit was fun. My only problem was it was only 30 minutes. I wish it had been a little longer.
All of our storm warnings were cancelled and we didn’t see so much as a drop of rain. As I peck away here it still feels like 99F at 9:30 pm.
The nerve of the power outage coming between a man and his coffee Mike! I agree that Gene and Buddy wrote the early book on drumming. I was also a fan in the early 60‘s (I was around 10) of Sandy Nelson. Enjoy your visit and maybe a coffee with Michael.
Our class was a little slower than that sample Kathie. And the audio comes through the instructors iPhone. They do three classes per week of various intensities. I believe you’ve gotta walk before you run so our group will stick with the Friday class for now.

Here comes Ava looking to go out before her bed time. She did get her early walk a River walk in today before it got too hot.
All of you have a good evening.

And so begins another warm day. We have no rain in sight until, maybe, Monday. But the sticky humidity is with us until at least Tuesday.
Because of Canada Day next Tuesday our Monday yard waste collection is today. The truck just stopped out front and collected my four bags. I’m glad I put them out last night before bed! I bet a lot of people will miss the collection. Especially when they have come so early.
Not much else this morning.
Everyone stay as cool and well hydrated as possible in this heat.
Have a really nice Saturday.

Hello all! Well….all that’s left of us.
82F and humid, but not horrible. Clouds are helping.

Art went on a Bike ride to a town called Almont. Their destination was a huge Smoke House company/store. It has weekend BBQ out front in a elaborate set up. They have a HUGE STEER you can see for miles in front and it draws a crowd. It’s called The Country Smoke House.

I just paid my bills. Tried my best to balance the checkbook and was off $10 bucks. Went back through the checkbook register and all my figures were added and subtracted correctly. I’ll just let it ride until the next statement. Not worth my time going nuts looking for a error. I used to fret over being a nickel off. Not worth my time. It’ll work out. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:
Okay, talk among yourselves. I’ll be back. :lurk:

HOLY COW! Hard to ”STEER“ past this roadside attraction in Almont, MI.

That's the one LEE!! HUGE. They used to have it higher upon a platform. Must have gotten too windy for the fella! Ha Ha

K2,Lee. thats a lot of bull. Fay will account for every penny in our checking account K2, I think it aggravates her if she can't get it correct.
Lee, our garbage and recycle collection is early in the morning so most everyone puts them out in the evening generally before dark.
Michael cleared a section in the weeds so he could plant the gourd seeds, it was very hot so I didn't ask him to plant any holly hock doll seeds, maybe next year. He likes Mexican so Fay bought some take out. I hope you enjoyed your evenng walk with Ava.
We had another 15 minute or so heavy down pour then it would rain for a short while, quit then rain again, it did that for most of the eveing. I may check on my gourd seeds tomorrow to see if they are still covered.
Have a gourd night.

Good Morning. Hope you all slept well last night.
It’s going to be a PURE MICHIGAN WEEK here in my neighborhood at a 85F daily average all this coming week. Beats SNOW any day?
Happy Fun GIF by Ahlan Simsim

Karen: It’s time to stop by and just say hello. Thanks. Did your choir find a new director yet? How’s it going singing in church without one??
Enjoy the day. We might take a drive to EITHER Belle Isle in
(downtown Detroit area) or Port Huron to see if any freighters are passing on this sunny Sunday.

I should be in church, but it just didn’t happen. Later gang.

We had a drive along The Detroit River in Windsor this morning Kathie. No snow on our side. There were a couple of slow moving freighters headed upstream. A couple of tour boats were heading out as well.
We had a nice view of The “Gourdie” Howe Bridge Mike. They’re hoping it will open in September.
With current temps feeling like 93F and getting warmer outside is no place for Lu-Ann, Ava or I.
The week ahead looks to be in the mid to upper 80’s. Maybe a couple of days of rain.
Time to hit the treadmill.
Have a simply wonderful afternoon my friends.

gourdie howe bridge, thats cute. No snow in Fairfield either, Climate change?????Do you get a nice workout on the treadmill Lee. 93 would be very hot to walk in. Does Ava's paws get burnt in this heat???Our temps look about the same as yours, maybe a little bit warmer.
K2, that is t he temps I like to sit out in. I may go out after a while. I sleep well almost every night, and da;y.
I'm getting a cup of coffee, join me anyone??

We’re far too overprotective of Ava Mike. As we have been for all of our rescued pups. A rule of thumb is when the pavement is too hot for our bare feet it’s too hot for her paws. That rule can be applied to most weather conditions for most dogs. I had a good walk on the treadmill. I use the time to watch some of my F1 racing programs.

TIGERS JUST SHUT OUT MINNESOTA! Go Tigers!
PT in the morning. Nothing much of anything else planned.

We did go and visit with Art’s beat biking buddy, Rick, who is still recovering from his horrible bike accident last August. He’s coming along slowly, but much better than we ever thought he would. He had his right knee replaced a few months ago and is healing well from that. I really don’t ever see Rick getting on a bike again, but who knows he could fool us all.

That was me this morning! Ava and I got most of the way around our walk and it started to gently rain. We picked up our pace a bit to hustle home. I left the dancing in the puddles to her. Out of respect for folks who may still have been sleeping I sang quietly to myself. ;)
Have a great physio session Kathie! It seems Rick has surprised you with his recovery all ready so maybe don’t bet against him getting on a bike in the future!
Mike and Karen, you both have great Mondays!

Good Morning Coffee GIF
Boy that first cup of coffee sure tasted good this morning. Love my little froth maker!

Thanks for the song Lee. We had ON and OFF DROPS of rain too. I know it must have rained a tad in the night because when I was up at 5:30 a.m. and opened the deck door to check the temperature the deck was wet.
It's HUMID outside right now. My plants are loving it. The 4 potato plants that I planted are doing very well. I have a couple of small green tomatoes on one plant and flowers on the others. Also, a couple of Green Italian style peppers. All is good in the Veggie area! :clap002:

Karen: If you're reading along.........throw us a BONE to let us know you're okay. Thanks.

Off to the PT session. Really not in the mood for it this morning, but once I get there I'll be fine. I walk OUT OF THE PLACE feeling a lot better.

Have a great day all.
Working Out Sailor Moon GIF
This is the easiest of all my exercises. :emoticon 0136 giggle:

My afternoon check in.
I did both the bike and a little treadmill time today Kathie. You certainly have the right attitude for your PT. you look at feeling good when the session is over! We were off to games day after that. In the cards today…Phase 10. A good afternoon for all!
How has your weather been today Mike? I meant to ask if your gourd seeds stayed covered.
Not much else from here this afternoon.
Have a good evening everyone.

Lee, I didn't check on the gourd seeds. I will try tomorrow. I dont know if I could cover them again.
It was nice and warm today, I sat out most of the afternoon, mostly in the shade. You and K2 are makeing me tired with all your exercising. I walk from one room to another and I have to sit down. Keep up the good movement.
Singing in the Rain, I think if you saw that on the big screen you w ould never forget it. Thanks for posting it, the only problem is I will be singing it all night.
Nice video of the bike K2, I wish I could peddel that fast. Maybe I did but it would have a very long time ago.
After dinner Fay and I sat outside for an hour or two, very pleasant. I hope we get a lot more days like today
Stay cool.

Good Morning.
HAPPY CANADA DAY. :canada:
Well, I guess it kinda matters to one of us.
We had a couple of passing
showers yesterday afternoon and evening. One of the weather services is calling for midday showers today. Another for showers later in the afternoon.
I’m not sure what we have on tap for today. Our downtown will be jammed with Canada Day events. The 5K run kicks things off at 7:00 am. No walk along The River this morning!
Hopefully your gourd seeds stayed covered Mike.
Do you have stretches as part of your physio Kathie?
I should think about a coffee.
Have a great Tuesday everyone.

Happy Canada Day Lee & Lu-Ann! I should have posted this late last night to get on here before you got on this morning. :canada:

Happy Canada Day!

Happy Canada Day!

Today, Canada turns another year older. Canada Day is a nod to the moment when the country officially came together in 1867. What began as a confederation of Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia has grown into a nation of 10 provinces and 3 territories. Originally called Dominion Day, the name was changed to Canada Day in 1982—the same year the Constitution Act was signed, granting the country full control over its constitution. While Canada Day is not the country's 'Independence Day,' it's the closest thing to it. Canadians celebrate this holiday with fireworks, parades, concerts, and community events. Ottawa, the country's capital, hosts one of the biggest celebrations, featuring music and speeches on Parliament Hill.

On this day, it is hard to miss how the red and white houses in Tilting mirror the colors of the Canadian flag. Tilting, a village on Fogo Island in Newfoundland and Labrador, was settled by Irish immigrants in the 18th century. It remains a unique example of an Irish outport community that has preserved its cultural identity. The bright fishing sheds and homes weren't painted just for aesthetics; the hues make buildings easier to spot during heavy fog or snowfall. These vivid colors also reflect the practical, resourceful life of the people who settled here.
