Wish you lived a TAD CLOSER and I would have given you one of the mini Blueberry loafs.

Well, just like yesterday the siding guys showed up at 7:00 A.M. They actually don't make much noise at all. Nothing like ROOFERS! Thanks goodness.

Okay, I'm off to get that 1st cup of coffee.

PTherapy at 11:00 a.m. and then I think the kitchen floor would appreciate getting washed!
Hey, somebody has to do it and Art will be out biking so it's a good time to do it.

By the way it was so nice sleeping with the windows open last night. Nice breeze on and off coming through.

This is what I typed last night. We had a pretty hard rain for about 10 minutes, then a steady light rain for another 15-20 minutes. That will be enough for my gourds for a day or so and much needed rain for our tomatoes. It is a cool 78 now with more rain expected tonight, It would be nice to get about 1/2 inch of rain but I guess I should be happy with the amount we got
That blueberry-lemon loaf sounds good Kathie. Did you hide it from Art or could he smell it a mile away, The freezer will love me. I think Art will love you more. Nice that your garden is doing so well, lets hope you get enough rain thru July-August to keep them healthy. If it keeps raining like it has you will have a bumper cropl
You had a busy morning today (YESTERDAY) Lee, too bad the fishflies put a damper on things. It did sound like you enjoyed your day despite the flies. When will the fishflies be gone?? Lets hope the restoration goes smoother than the beginning of the project.
With the temps getting cooler I hope everyone got a good night sleep. Oh, I forgot, the air conditioning,

It was a good day. PT went well. The moist heat at the end is the best! I always walk out to the car standing up so straight! Ha Ha.

Mike: I'm getting more and more little peppers and tomatoes. So far everything is still GREEN. Art's Bush Beans are showing up a few at a time. And the Potatoes have flowers on the tops of the green foliage. I need to google if I'm suppose to let them open or cut them off???

Art got the outside of the house all decluttered of things that were attached to the house that he forgot to tell the Siding Guys that he took down the OUTSIDE SECURITY Double Light fixture. Art noticed today when he was looking around the windows and overhang by the deck part of the house that the SIDING GUYS COVERED THE junction box. Sure hope they can take the siding down in that area and things work out. If not, we just have dream up a new way of connecting that darn fixture. Sometimes....... a lot of times actually, ART TRIES TO HELP TOO MUCH. This was one of those times.

Okay Wrabbits.........., Do you think it's time for a ROAD TRIP to Belleview Florida to do a SURPRISE VISIT on our Dear Karen?? I actually hate when somebody is gone from the group for any reason. Makes me feel like I said something wrong. Sure hope I didn't.

Out of here. The Sider Guys get here at 7:00 A.M. and that comes early.

Made a cup of some really good coffee. It's called Bourbon Blizzard. Not something you drink everyday because it's from a local coffee roaster and pricy! So smooth I have even had it without cream!!

Rain sprinkles on and off right now. I think it rained sometime during the night. Suppose to have some thunderstorms by noon. Joy, Joy.

Siding guy is here alone so far right at 7:10 a.m.
Said fixing the outside security connection box is not a big deal. Whew!!
Said the rain won't bother him. He has lots of measuring and cutting that he can do
inside his trailer. This guy is so mellow and has the best personality.

Out of here for now. I want to make a batch of English Muffins. WHY.... who knows, just have to get it off of my mind and over with. It's a dreary day so far and will keep me busy.

Lee, did you remember what you were getting organized or do you organize like me, just move items from one spot to another?

I want to make a batch of English Muffins. WHY.... who knows, just have to get it off of my mind and over with. It's a dreary day so far and will keep me busy. Have you thought of taking a nap I'm pretty sure you have to leave t he floweres on the plants, without the floweres the plant won't pollinate for the potatoes.
The weather channel has heavy rain soon, I hope we get some rain. I don't know what the temperature is now but I don't think it is too hot. I may get on my lawn tractor and see if there are any gourds coming up. The temps just showed up, 84 mostly cloudy.

Dodging early storms with Ava and planning to meet friends for coffee were what I was trying to get sorted this morning Mike. It all seems to have worked out. It’s 80F here right now. Is it too late for that coffee?
So did you make that batch of English muffins Kathie? We got a heck of a drenching, much needed, between 10:00 and 11:30. We were having our coffee at Caffeine & Co when it hit. Like a few other customers we stayed put a tad longer than planned.
We’re under another severe thunderstorm watch here until midnight. I hope all of you are out of harms way if it does come through.

Hi gang.

Mike: I did make the English Muffins. They weren’t exactly all the same size, but they do taste good and should be even better toasted in the morning.

Mike I did a Google about clipping off the Potato flowers and they said DO IT! It makes the energy go down into the seed potato so it produces more potato’s. They also said to dispose of the flowers carefully because they are TOXIC to pets. Do the blossoms are getting clipper. !
Art’s green beans are growing really fast. Every day I go to look at them they are bigger. I bet they love the HEAT & HUMIDITY we’ve been having.

LEE: We had a few stray showers too. Just enough to keep Ed from cutting the grass. Duh!

The siding crew will be back in the morning. 7:00 AM comes around really fast. They should be done on Friday and then perhaps Monday the new gutters will get installed. So far so good with this project.

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic won again this morning and is moving on to the Semi Finals Friday.

Good morning!
The temperature is sitting at 66F but the air is very wet. Ava and I headed out about 6:00. A little later than we usually go. There were so many more people out heading to work, jogging (why?) and watering their plants and gardens than we usually see.
It sounds like your siding job is coming along, dare I say, better than you had expected Kathie. I have to ask. Have the workers been lucky enough to sample any of your baking? I may try to get the front grass cut this morning if it dries out.
Did you make it out to check on the gourds Mike?
Lu-Ann has a hair appointment this morning so she will miss chair yoga. We’ll all go down to the Navy Yard and Ava and I will go for a walk when Lu-Ann heads in to see Betty. Then I’ll go back for her when her hair is done.

Siding crew doesn't disappoint...... here at 7:05 am!
No bakery samples for the siding guys. They seem to keep to themselves. They work really hard and are out of here at 2:00 each day.
Glad you can get out to Navy Yard with AVA early since it's going to be MUGGY today.

Okay, I have nothing more to chat about right now. The coffee pot is waiting for me.

Sharing the GOOD NEWS that the MRI of "the boobs" was NEGATIVE for any lumps!
Nice to have that off my mind.

Real Feel outside is 91F. And MUGGY as all get out! Whew!
And yes, Artie is out biking with his gang. There are a few ladies in the club and they do a really good job of biking. (Better than some of the guys) Bless them.

I had a Dr, app. today and all is well.
Lee, Fay checked where I planted the gourds seeds and nothing is coming up. I think I (Michael) planted 8 seeds. Fay watered the gourds again but I don't think it did any good.
It"s 88 degrees and feels every bit of it. Fay's car air conditioning doesn't work and the service man told her it would cost more to fix it than the car is worth and she won't buy a new one. I think she should buy a silverrado or however it is spelled with an 8 foot bed and the very larger cab. Problem is niether one of us could drive it now.
Kathie,best of luck to Novak Djokovic. I haven't watched any tennis this year. I gues potato pollination is different than gourds. I have planted the eyes of the potato and got a few but it is much easier to buy them.

A warmish start to a Friday that could see humidex values in the upper 90’s to low 100’s. Even our tv weather people are commenting on the unusually long hot stretches we’re all seeing.
It sounds like Fay’s car has hit that rock and a hard place Mike. Too much to make the repair based on the value of the vehicle. Our old van suffered the same fate. Sorry there’s no action from your gourds. That’s great news from your doctor too.
I know I wouldn’t be out biking in this heat and humidity Kathie. Neither would Lu-Ann. I feel so bad for her because this weather just plays havoc with her PD meds. I see it and it truly breaks my heart. And my heart is the reason she worries about me doing stuff outdoors in the heat. As Dave used to say “Gettin’ old ain’t for sissies”. Dang I miss him.
Today is recycle day in the town. It’s also Amazon Prime week. There’s hardly a cardboard bin that doesn’t have Amazon boxes in it. No wonder Bezos could afford a huge splashy wedding! I didn’t even get a “thank you”.
Well, I think a coffee may be in order. Can I get anyone else anything?

Right on time... at 7:01 A.M. the siding guys (2 guys - father & son) are here again.
They should be finishing up today.

Mike: Always good to get a good report on a doctors visit at our ages. Hope your gourd seeds make it.

Funny how we remember some of the things our past fellow Hutch family members said.

WOW......that 1st cup of coffee sure was good this morning.

There are 3 guys here today. Guess they want to rap this job up today and move on!
What is funny about this Siding company is that they 'did not' put out a sign with their
name on it! After being in business for 28 yrs I guess you don't need to advertise. Or maybe they wait until the job is done. Either way I can't wait to tell the company how nice this crew was on this job.

Mike: A big decision for Fay about her car issues. Damned if do and really damned if you don't look into another auto. Any chance of getting one of the 'kids' cars and letting them get a new one?

Lee: I feel bad for Lu-Ann and her having issues with this hot/humid weather. It's bad enough just getting by yet alone having to pile on more issues because of the weather. Tell her I'm thinking of her.

Novak plays a big match today at 11:00 ish, and I have my PT at 11:00. Bummer for me. I really enjoy watching him play tennis. I know it's kind of boring watching the ball go back and forth for hours, but he has a way of keeping your attention.

But I know that’s how most people feel about my beloved F1 racing which I have followed since I was about 12!
I trimmed the ball tree out front when we came back from The Navy Yard. Too hot already to do the grass.
