Good afternoon!

Lee - We sort of took your advice and went out for dinner last night. Where else - DiCarlo's!! I still have plenty left for dinner tomorrow night. Nice that your basement is finally at the finishing stage. We will expect pictures, of course.

Glad to see that you northerners are finally getting to sit outside. It's about time, isn't it? Hopefully, this will be the start of many days and nights of sitting outside for the coming months.

Dave - Nice choice for music this morning

In a little while we will be heading for the coast, namely Melbourne Beach. We're going to G&E's house for the afternoon. This will be our first shot at seeing all the renovations they made over the past many months. Elaine is also making dinner, but not sure what it will be. I told her the things I can't have, specifically salt, so we will see how she handles it. I'll let you know tomorrow how it went.

For now though, it's time for me to get ready to go out. Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone!

Only clouds here are white fluffy ones in a beautifully warm blue sky Sunday. Really like the temperatures that are forecast for the next six or seven days.
Red Sox continued their win streak with another victory over Philly yesterday and hope to sweep the series with another win today. Celts take on the 76ers today so I'm hoping
that they follow the Red Sox lead and notch another win.
At yesterday's
Kentucky Derby, I think there were more of those ridiculous women's hats (Fascinators?) than I saw in London during the Coronation.
I sympathize with your sister in law, K2. Our condo was 4 levels and there was no way we could
continue to deal with all those stairs. Our one level ranch is perfect for our needs.
Enjoy your visit to Gary and Elaine's house in Melbourne, BB. I am sure that she will take your dietary restrictions into account as she prepares the meal she will be serving.

DAVE: ANOTHER REALLY NICE PICK FOR OUR LISTENING ENJOYMENT. THANKS.

YUP.... just call me "Church Lady".

I said a prayer for ALL of you good Wrabbits. You should be good for at least a week.

I pulled out of the driveway at 9:05 a.m. and the rain started pouring by the time I was 3 house away. Came OUT of CHURCH and it was sunny and dry. :clap002: Overcast here right now, but humid and a nice 72F.

BB: Can't wait to get a report on the G&E house. It's about time they had you guys over to see it and for dinner. Hope you take good notes.

Bill: We're hoping the Detroit TIGERS win today and can add another SWEEP to their list.

I get a kick out of seeing all the GIFTS honoring Miggie at each baseball field the Tigers play at out of town. He's getting a lot of BIG MONEY CHECKS for his Migel Charity Foundation. He looks like he's getting use to the nice SEND-OFFs from other teams.

He is a cutie! Ha Ha

Art got the wall painted while I was at church. Said he has one jelly jar full of left-over paint for any touch-up's around the kitchen. Whew! That saved us having to buy a GALLON more of paint. They don't make SATIN FINISH in Quarts! :emoticon 0101 sadsmile:

I'm thinking of going for a short ride around the block to see how my legs and body like it! My BUTT is what's going to be complaining until it gets use to the seat again this season!

Lee: Good to know you're almost DONE with your lower level project. Just in time to enjoy the GREAT OUTDOORS!

Have a great afternoon folks.

Karen: Just wanted to let you know we cleaned out our gutters today. We didn't have to take apart the downspouts like you did .... thank goodness! But I thought of you while we were out there.
Art did the cleaning and I held the ladder and emptied the bucket of YUK that blew in from the Arborvitae shrubs. We trimmed branches from 2 Weeping cherry trees that are on the side of the house. We went to get a rake and bags to put the branches into and by the time we got back our nice neighbor had cleaned it all up! WOW. What a nice thing to do.

I'm looking for a "O RING" for our hose reel. Seems like the ring that is in there now is old and needs replacing. I went to 3-4 places and NO LUCK. I can call the SunCast company and order them, but I wouldn't get them for 2 weeks and the cost of a couple of them and shipping is crazy. I have a Sprinkler Depot that I will go to tomorrow (Monday) and see if they have a silly O RING. I never knew there were SO MANY DIFFERENT SIZES.

Quiet on here today. You all must be busy enjoying the nice weather. Can't blame you.

BB: Hope your dinner and visit with G&E went well.

Nite gang.

Good evening. Well at Longhorn we both got the 6 ox sirloin and shrimp, along with a salad and baked potato. Since the salad is a good size we both brought home some steak, shrimp and baked potato.

The race was good until the very end when the second car had to wreck the leader to win, it is a move he does a lot.

All have a good night.

Shush little Bunnies, Mom and Dad are still sleeping.

So I need you to whisper and tip-toe downstairs. You guys grab some spoons in the kitchen, and I'll grab the carton of ice cream. Then we'll quietly go into the family room and watch our favorite TV show.

And as long as we don't get too loud, we can be in our happy-place for quite a while.

Off to the lab for blood work for the butt cancer doc. Then I see him in a week. It never seems to end.
One of the all time great theme songs Dave. That is the harbour just by Magic Island (which isn’t an island) in Honolulu. Of course the question in young men’s hearts back then was “Ginger or Mary Anne?”. My pick was always MaryAnne.
Can you get the o-ring on Amazon Kathie? I was surprised how muggy it got here yesterday as well. It was nice in the afternoon walking through The Fort along the river though.
So what sanctions does NASCAR have in place to prevent this guys bad on track behaviour Nancy?
Geez! Look at the time.
Hi to everyone else.
I’ll check on you all later on.

Good morning. Today the only plan is to fold Bruce's laundry and maybe put it away and wait for Fed Ex. I believe they are delivering the new toaster oven as I have to sign for it.

Lee, no
sanctions, maybe a fine. Earlier this year he was fined and docked points because on his radio show he admitted to wrecking an other driver. The money did not really hurt him but the points hurt. He appealed and of course it was denied. One thing if he learned not to talk about intentionally wrecking another driver on air.

All have a great day.

Hi gang! Been busy running errands, etc, etc.

Lee: YUP, I can get the SunCast brand silly "O" ring by calling the company's parts dept.
It's just a matter of waiting 2-3 weeks to get it in our mailbox! Not to mention the shipping charges. They never give you a break. I'll work on that later.

I managed to get 6 HUGE BAGS full of used Coffee Grounds from Starbucks. They pkg them up and put a nice ECO TAPE Instruction on using the grounds in flower pots, beds and gardens. The nice lady told me to take all 6 bags. They refill the bucket all day. Some stores do this service and others don't. Just have to know which one to go to.

It's PERFECT WEATHER OUTSIDE right now. Wish it could be this temp all year long. 76F

DAVE: I could listen to that Gilligans video all day. Always loved their theme song. Thanks again for posting.

Going outside to try and trim all those Evergreens in our backyard. I'm taking a Tylenol BEFORE I START! Ha Ha.

Enjoy your day.

DAVE: Your Gilligan's video reminds me of the SAILBOAT that has been BEACHED for months on Anna Maria Island. I follow that thread. The 2 guys set up a GoFundMe acct to get help to pay the $15,000 to move it off the shoreline.
Low and behold TODAY I saw that they 2 owners are on the island with a contractor and crew waiting for the right TIDE to either come in or go out and will be finally removing the sailboat. You would not believe how much UGLY Controversary this shipwreck has mustarded!
Some people are just plain old MEAN and CRUEL with their remarks. And some hate to see it go. Lots of good pictures have been taken next to it. And some treasure seekers even have stripped it of valuable equipment. SAD.
Amazing that even with some really bad Winter STORMS it didn't budge and float away.
Just thought I'd share this "useless info" with you all! Ha Ha.

Good afternoon, gang! I just realized that I didn't post here earlier. Another of those darn senior moments!!

Dave -I too have always loved the Gilligan's Island song. A few years ago the people who lived in the spool house took their boat out on our lake. They got about 10 houses out and the motor quit on them. They had to find someone to come and rescue them by towing them back to their dock. We all were making fun of them about their "three hour voyage" and we started calling their boat the Minnow. When the boat left about 3 weeks ago, as it sailed down our canal, I just waved and saye bye-bye, Minnow!!

Kathie - If you ordered that O ring on Amazon, there's a good chance the seller would just put it in an envelope and mail it off to you with no postage. Bert's ordered lots of small stuff that way and had it within a few days at most.

We had a nice time at G&E's house yesterday. I can see what cost them such big bucks. Among other things to remove some of the walls, they had to have 4 load bearing beams installed! They don't come cheap by any means. The house looks nice, but I did like the reno on the old house better. Of course, I couldn't tell them that. They have one bedroom on the main floor that was supposed to be for Elaine's father, but he moved into an apartment a few blocks away. They offered to let us move in with them and have that bedroom. Nice idea, but it would never work. We'd be ready to kill each other within a week, as I could not just live in that bedroom all day. No thanks!!

M&J are talking about wanting to move to Alabama and would like us to also move there, but not to live with them. Not sure that would work either with all my doctors being here and all. At this point we're not sure what to do. The expenses on this house keep going up and we have no control over that, so that's something we have to consider. Plus everything in this house is getting old, including the mission tile roof. I wouldn't even want to imagine what that would cost to replace someday. The insurance company figures it should be good for another 5 years, but there are a lot of blue tarps on roofs here these days and it's not even hurricane season yet. As Kathie would say - Always something!!

Stopped at Lowes earlier and picked up 2 more herbs for my planter - cilantro and lavender. That will fill it for this year.

Got leftovers from DiCarlo's for dinner tonight, plus Elaine sent us home with leftover stuffed salmon for tomorrow night. If I play my cards right, I shouldn't have to cook anything until at least Thursday. YIPPY!!!

Looking at the clock, I see it's almost time to head for the lanai. Happy hour will be here soon!

Oh Geez Pat. You mentioned costs are going up but I didn't realize that you and Bert were reduced to ordering leftovers from DiCarlo's. Can we start a go fund me page for you? Of course you know that I'm kidding you and would only EVER say that in jest. And have I been told yet today? Yes. A couple of times. :emoticon 0152 heart:
Don't you find the name of the sail boat, Lucky Us 2, kind of humorous? I guess considering the sailor and crew were rescued it's not that bad a name after all.
I've never been in and out of the lab so quickly. Ever! Lu-Ann came with me because we were going to go for a light breakfast afterwards. Anchor Coffee opens at 9:00. We were parked at 8:30. Any other day I'd just be getting out of the lab at 9:00. Oh well. All good.
Then it was our traditional Monday games day. Today was a fun card game called "Deer in The Headlights".
Hopefully all is well for Karen and Bill too!
With that it's time for Ava to have her dinner.
See you all tomorrow.

Lee: The name of that Sailboat has been brought up many times. I wish the 2 guys (who are in their 30's) much luck (play on it's name) getting it back in the water and FIXED UP. It's a nice sailboat and the "Mask" is still in one piece, etc, etc. Other than costing them a ton of money to fix up I think it will all work out. I think the last time I checked GoFundMe they had $7600 bucks.

I only got 3/4 of the FRONT SHRUBS trimmed today. Decided to tackle the lesser of the two areas first. I have another days job to do the balance of the shrubs. I'm getting wiser in my old age and not overdoing it. And my BACK LOVED me for that wisdom today! Ha Ha.
Clean up has to be taken in consideration when doing this project. Lots of cuttings to pick-up.

BB: I must agree with you that moving in with G&E would not be a good thing unless absolutely necessary. And I really don't think you would have to "stay in your bedroom" all day. After all, they would be working. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Now moving to Alabama at this stage of your lives doesn't sound any better of an idea. Can you even imagine packing all of Bert's stuff in the garage and all your Nik-Naks and pictures and the famous Waterford Chandelier! Lordy just stay where you are.
By the way..... I don't want to put a JINX on the Caddy, but it's been doing really good lately. Haven't heard of any problems or issues. Let's hope it stays that way.

BB: The "O" rings I found at our ACE Hdwe store seem to be doing the job... SO FAR on the Hose Reel.

Lee:
Funny how some of our Lab tests turn out to be a IN and OUT quick visit and then sometimes you wait and wait.
I need to go this week for a Re-Check Blood test at our local Mini Hospital for my new Thyroid BRAND the nice doctor has me on. Had to change from Synthroid brand to another Brand and she wants to see if it's causing any issues. I think don't feel any different, so I'm sure it is all going to be good! At least I don't have to go into the office to see the results. She'll just text me in my Portfolio. Sometimes those things actually save time. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Karen: What are you up to lady? Staying out of trouble hopefully. Wish you lived up here and I would have had you come over and help me with the shrub trimming and then I could feed you some good Serbian Food! Ha Ha. I wish we all lived on the same block. Lordy would we all drive the other neighbors crazy with our coming and goings!

Lee:
I've had a STRAWBERRY Shortcake with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream on my mind all day. You know the place I'm thinking about. Did you guys go there this year? And was the price out of sight? Could also stand a bottle of Crazy wine from True Blue.

Okay......out of here for now.

Good evening. The toaster was delivered. It is a bit smaller than the other one and I found that I will have to adjust the time down. And the big surprise is I had ordered a Conair but received a Cuisinart, they are made in the same factory and have the same model numbers. Just the price is different.

Bruce's heart Dr's office called and they said the Dr had gone over the echo he had and all is good so unless he is having any problems he does not need to go in tomorrow so that appt has been canceled.

All have a good night.

You're an encyclopedia of information Lee. I had never heard before that the harbor in the opening of Gilligan's Island is actually located in Hawaii. Where'd you learn that? That shortcake, strawberries, and ice cream looks like a yummy breakfast to me.

Cool pictures of that beached sailboat, K2. But no money coming from me to their Go-Fund-Me account to fix it up. If you can afford a big sailboat like that it's your problem. Happy to hear that you found that "O" ring at a local hardware store.

M & J are thinking of moving to Alabama, BB??? Didn't they just build a new house? I too don't think it would be in YOUR interest to move in with either of your kids. One neat thing about that Gilligan's Island theme song is that it's one of those theme songs that tells you what the TV show is about. Kinda like the Brady-Bunch theme song.

Hi to the rest of you Bunnies.

It'll still be warm but could get a little soggy this morning.

Tuesday Morning GIF by Hello All
Nancy hope you enjoy your new toaster! Nice report on Bruce.

LEE: Thanks for posting that lovely picture. I think the last time we were at Parkesdale's it only cost us $5.00 or $5.50 for that shortcake! I have a picture of the place and price somewhere, but I'm not going to bother looking it up. YUM!

I'm loving the fact that the SUN decided to show up early this morning and is still out there. Might motivate me to finish trimming the rest of the shrubs in front today! Just have to wait for them to dry off a tad from the DEW!

I'm sitting here in front of this 27" (diagonal) BIG SCREEN and full-size KEYBOARD that it's all hooked up to. Just so much easier than using the iPad or iPhone!

I'm about to update and print off my current MEDICATIONS, strength, how many I take a day, what they are for and which doctor prescribed them. I always bring this list with me in my folder when I go to "any" doctors visit because they always want to know if anything has changed. I hand the list to the gal or guy and let them input it into their computer or check them off!

You all have a nice day. I don't have anything else to add right now! Be back later to check on you.

Good morning to you all on this beautiful day!

Lee - That's so interesting about where Gilligan's Island was filmed. I'll give you a good one ... Anyone remember Sea Hunt with Lloyd Bridges? That's an oldie for you! Well, that was filmed at Silver Springs, FL right next to Ocala. That's also where many of the Tarzan movies were filmed. Also I Spy with Robert Culp and Bill Cosby filmed an episode there along with scenes from Creature from the Black Lagoon. See ... I can load you up with trivia too!! LOL

Kathie - Would you believe that for all the years we have lived in Florida (39 years to be exact) we have never gone to the Strawberry Festival. Never gone to the corn festival or any other festival for that matter.
Neat pictures of the boat back on the water, even if it is a tad lopsided!!

Dave - Believe me, I am in no hurry to move anywhere else. I love my view here and would hate to give it up. You're right - M&J are in their house for less than 2 years. They're getting killed with their mortgage payment going up $300., plus the cost of insurance on the house & car going sky high. Can't forget they also have an almost $300 HOA fee each month. Jimmy would have much more work available if he lived in Alabama. He could work in the Florida panhandle where they are desperate for people with his skills working on fire equipment. It's a hard decision for them to make, but time will tell.

Got an appointment for a CT Scan at 1 and then as part of my Mother's Day present, Bert is treating me to a haircut. I guess he doesn't like long hair any longer! Years ago he would beg me to let my hair grow. Guess he's changed his mind in his old age!!
