Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

I didn't go with Bruce to the dentist and he was gone for over two hours. He paid the full bill for this and the next visit so he got $100 off, which is nice.

Since the weather has improved the swelling in the fingers has improved.

All have a good night.

After she hopped inside Fuzzbutt is wet, so yup it must be raining.

Breakfast at a distillery Lee? Now why didn't I think of that?

I also didn't think about liberating bicycles using my new bolt cutters. (I must be getting slow in my old age.)

Great picture of Dumsantis being chased by Mickey. That guy still hasn't figured out that going after Disney is NOT a bright idea. And what is his fetish with saying "woke" all the time?

Around here, about the only people that charge a fee for paying off a bill with a credit card is government agencies.

Grocery shopping this morning.......After Kathi washes her hair.

Good morning! Where is everyone this morning? Another pretty day around here with no rain, but windy. There's a red flag warning for all of central Florida. ed flag means there's a high danger of fires due to the dry conditions and the wind.

Dave - Have fun shopping. Can't wait to hear about any goodies you might find.
DumSantis is a real a$$. Newest thing the legislature has passed for him is that his travel plans will not be disclosed. That means he can fly all over campaigning on our dime without the public knowing where he is or is going. Total violation of our state Sunshine Law. As with so many of the other things passed for him, it will definitely end up in court.

So we had the mussels for dinner last night with M&J's crew. I have never seen 10 lbs of mussels disappear as fast as these did! I didn't even have time to take a picture! As fast as a platter was put on the table, it was emptied. Either this was a very hungry gang or the mussels and sauce were delicious. I asked them if next time we nee 15 lbs of mussels and the resounding answer was YES!!!

Nothing much is planned for today. Might make a trip to Lowes to pick up some potting soil and a bracket to hang a plant I recently bought. Also need to pick up some cilantro for my herb garden. I thought I got some last week, but turns out that the pot I got in the cilantro area was flat leaf parsley. They look very similar and it wasn't until Bert was planting it that we realized our mistake.

Right now it's time for a cup of coffee and to read the newspaper. Have a great hump day, gang!

BB: I just missed you! Gotta go back and read your post. Have a good day.

RAINY GLOOMY DAY AGAIN! Suppose to start creeping up to warmer temps and no rain each day moving forward! SURE.....I've heard that before.

Made us a 1/2 recipe of Blueberry scones before Art got out of bed this morning. Had a few blueberries that looked perfect for a small batch. They tasted great with our morning coffee.
As for the Apple Fritters I made the other day. I'll stick to buying them at Krogers. I don't think I fried them long enough to make them crispy/crunchy on the outside. The insides were better than Kroger's because I had MORE APPLES in mine! :clap002:

I'm off to go to the CLOSING of our local furniture store where I bought all the furniture for our family room. The owners are RETIRING. Geez........we won't have a decent furniture store left in this city. All the good ones closed do to being in business for decades. I guess the owners deserve to RETIRE. This place was full of small vignette rooms that you could get lost in the place. I loved walking through that place and it's only about 15 mins away from our house too.
They sent out special INVITATIONS with numbered to "Loyal Customers" to come for a 2 day pre-public sale event. I want to say buy to may salesperson. Always a GEM to work with.

Out of here for now.

Lee: Art was glad that AVA DROPPED the Rabbit! :clap002: That must have been something to see.

Good afternoon!
I really need to get up at night when I can't sleep & clean house instead of laying in bed dreaming up new projects for me. Couldn't sleep last night so I got to thinking it might be kind of cool to paint the base cabinets in the kitchen a different color than the white. And since I still had grey paint left from the porch project it wouldn't cost anything extra. Soooo, I ended up taking off all the bottom doors & hinges & drawers and painting them a medium grey color. Didn't come out exactly as I'd pictured but with the black hardware I think it will look ok. Will post pictures tomorrow after I rehang the cabinet doors. Will need to take an aleve for sure tonite!

Good evening. I did not get up until 9:30 this morning so it was a late start. After breakfast and my shower I went out to Walmart. There were a couple of grocery items that I wanted that they did not have so I stopped at Publix, got them and then some. So I was gone from 11:30 to 2:15. AT Walmart I got things to make a fruit salad and then Bruce comes home and he has a fruit salad from a very nice lady, so since hers is smaller we had some of that tonight.

After getting home I found a bunch of Toaster Ovens that I like so email links for them to Bruce as a Mother's Day gift. Yesterday I have found some nice 7 day cruises to Alaska with Celebrity for $299 and one for $399. So I looked up air fare and one way to Anchorage is almost $1000 per person and then we would have to fly home from Vancouver so cost would be too much. SO since the toaster over we have does not want to do anything at Bake I decided that would be a good gift.

AT Walmart I looked to see if they had any footstools but they didn't so after doing the email to Bruce I checked the one I footstools I had saved and ordered one. My feet have been swelling so much by the end of the day they are not only swollen but hurting some too.

All have a good night.

Shootings & guns. Always more guns and more shootings. Whether local, state or national, it's always more. It just sickens me.

Nothing much of any interest to report about what went into our shopping cart at the grocery store yesterday, BB. But I can tell you one thing, people just love munching on crunchy, salty snacks. Even at this smaller grocery store there's 2 isles of potato chips, pretzels, popcorns, nuts, corn chips, cheese puffs, pork rinds and on and on.

I only once saw a commercial of some air fried potato chips, which sounded interesting. I didn't catch the brand name and only knew that it was in an aqua colored bag. So we kept an eye out for it yesterday. NOPE, never did find it.

I really enjoyed your story of the closing of your local furniture store, K2. There's so few of these family owned furniture stores. Ones where you knew the owners and the workers which had been there for years.

Next time KC, when you can't get to sleep, get up and clean the house. The last thing you need is more work projects added to your list. Yes we're looking forward to your pictures. Any chance a before and after?

It's just me and the pooches around 10 this morning. Kathi's off to get a massage. Lucky gal. It's something that not only feels good, but it also lifts your spirits.

Good morning. Today my ankles are hurting a lot. I don't have any plans for today so will just take it easy.

Just talked with the DR's office about the referral for my feet, she said she is sending a message to the lady that does the referrals about needing this done asap and put in my chart about me calling. Hope I get a referral soon.

All have a great day.

Good morning and happy "May the force be with you" Day!

I'm on my own for a few hours w hile Bert is off to Sea World with Missy & Wesley. Now I just have to stay out of trouble while they are gone. At least I know Jimmy is home. he's making split pea with ham soup using MY SOUP BONE that Bert Gave them when I wasn't looking. We better get some of that soup is all I can say!

Karen - Cabinet looks good. You did a great job. As Dave said, you really need to get up and clean when you can't sleep instead of planning more projects.

Dave - Glad the shopping trip was a success, but that you couldn't find those air fried potato chips. I've never seen a commercial for them, so I imagine they're a local thing up your way.

Boy, I'll tell you one thing - I am so going to celebrate when I get rid of this d*mn vest. You all know how I can go Jersey in a heartbeat. Well this morning, the vest brought out my worst longshoremen side! Alarms on the battery pack kept going off since just before 7 this morning. Every time we checked all the connections of the vest, cleaned off all the electrodes, readjusted everything, it would still set off the alarm that something wasn't in the right place. I would have to take my top off to take the vest off and Bert would check everything. Then I'd put the vest back on and my shirt. Within 5 minutes, it set the alarm of again. After this happened 3 times, the air got very BLUE around here, as I was venting how I felt. It's just so frustrating wearing this thing. I don't need to have this happening. It's a wonder I didn't have a heart attach and set off the defibrillator. Is it too early to start drinking??????

I think while Bert is gone, I might just make an angel food & pineapple cake for tonight. It's nice and light. Anyone else ever make one? It's probably the simplest cake ever to make. Even easier than a dump cake. Only thing you have to be careful about is to have the oven already up to temperature before you mix the cake. Otherwise, it could rise over the sides of the bowl or pan!

Well, I see it's no longer morning around here, so I guess I should find myself something to eat. Have a super day, everyone!

You all know how I can go Jersey in a heartbeat.
Interesting choice of words considering why you have to wear the vest in the first place Momma Bunny. :emoticon 0152 heart:
I like the subtle change in the cabinets Karen.
I've pretty much stopped watching the news and reading the papers Dave. Except of course The River Town Times (and World Report - I added that part.)
Your referral is starting to sound like the Canadian medical system Nancy.
Hey Bill. did you see all the Leafs fans that were hurt the other day? Seems there's a lot of jumping off and on the band wagon. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
Back to work.

Missed that story about the Leafs fans, Lee but I believe that many Bruins would understand the emotion and might have suffered similar injuries since game 7 of the first (and their only) series.
No such problem for the Celts fans who might have had such feelings after their loss to the 76ers in Game One, but who are feeling much better and more confident after the Celtics won Game Two last night by shellacking Philly. Their magic may even be rubbing off on the Red Sox who are suddenly playing like they actually know what they are doing and have won 5 or 6 games in a row.
I thought PT went well yesterday but my muscles may have thought differently as they made it uncomfortable for me as I tried to get to sleep last night. Finally had to get out of bed and take a couple of Tylenol ®. The seemed to work and I then got at least three hours of uninterrupted sleep before nature called. Weather forecast for today and the lack of sleep earlier made it easier to sleep in this morning, so my breakfast would more properly be labelled as "brunch". Having nothing pressing on today's agenda also
conspired to keep me in bed longer than usual.
Sorry to hear about your episode with your vest, BB. I am sure that it was not only irritating but more than a little frightening. We had alarms going off in our house last night but it was only caused by smoke coming from a pan of cooking oil when Rita was cooking some scallops. The ceiling fans cleared it out pretty quickly.
Still suffering from a surfeit of DeSantis for President ads. I may have to give up my nightly habit of watching Jeopardy® since those ads appear almost nightly during that program. In the latest one, they show his "supporters" replacing a Tump 2016 bumper stigcker on their car with a DeSantis for President sticker. Considering all the various slogans that I have noted on Florida license plates, I imagine that one touting his candidacy will soon be available from the Florida DMV.

Bill - Sorry about those DeSatin ads you are having to put up with. Thank goodness we aren't seeing them. If they started showing them here, I think the residents would have a hissy fit. He is definitely not very popular here these days.
I think the 2 most pathetic ads he ran while running for governor were during his first bid for governor where they showed him helping his 2 year old son "build a wall just like president lil t's wall" out of building blocks. The second one was when he had his wife do a commercial praising him for helping out with the kids and around the house when she was going through cancer treatment. Duh ... Isn't that what any husband would and should do? That doesn't make him a better candidate.
If a deSatin license plate shows up, people will not have a very favorable reaction to it.

PS...

NO!

OK, if you insist. I'll have that glass of wine now! ;) :D:emoticon 0136 giggle:

Got a referral and they called to set up an appt and when I answered what is my insurance, they don't take it. SO I have called the Dr. again and told them they need to find someone else that does take my insurance.

Last night on tv for the first time I saw a desantis add and twice. It was the same with the person putting his sticker over trumps. Sorry I don't think that many people will be doing that.

Hi Wrabbits.
Nice chatter on here today!
I had nothing for you Bunnies and just gave you all a break.

Karen......nice job on the cabinets. Looks good to me.
BB: I thought for sure you were going to say the VEST was going off and giving you shocks. Glad that wasn't the case. That sure would make me go JERSEY and I'm from Michigan! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

We have a friend from our choir that is living out in California and will AGAIN
tonight be the JUDGE on Law and Order. I think I mentioned that her Niece is the producer of some of the episodes and she gives the easy going parts to her Aunt. She gets paid for it nicely.
The episode will be on Peacock to view again on Friday in case we miss it for some reason.

Last time the WRITERS walked out on STRIKE it took 3 months for them to get things settled according to the news. WOW, that's a long time without the "Jimmy's" , Steven and Seth, etc, etc. They'll be doing reruns for all that time. Hope those guys saved up their lose change for days like this. Ha Ha. I'd be off to some island for a nice long vacation.

We finally had SUNSHINE today. 60's + and right now it's 57F at 7:52 pm.

Be good little Wrabbits!
Good Night GIF by ebm-papst

Good evening. Well for awhile I had a Dr for my feet, when they called to set an appt found they don't take my insurance. So I called my PC and left a message for the lady that does referrals. Hopefully will get a new good referral soon. I have a PT appt tomorrow morning and while there will get more appts.

For some reason my hands decided to swell today and they are hurting.

Ordered my gift from Bruce for Mother's Day. I found out that Cuisinart and Conair are the same company and Conair has a toaster oven that Cuisinart has for about half price.

All have a good night.

Another excellent job well done KC. And yes, that is definitely a light grey. The new handles look better too.

One thing that vest is not good for is your blood pressure, BB. (It's always 5 o'clock somewhere.)

At least you didn't totally stop watching the news and reading newspapers, Lee. Too many people vote when they are clueless about what's going on in the world.

No Bill, you don't get to include the "steps" going to the bathroom when nature calls at night in your exercise routine.

The writer's strike is annoying to me too, K2. I always like to go to bed after hearing one of the late night comics find humor in the day's events.
