Good morning. Had PT with evaluation this morning and now set for the rest of the month, with one day at 9 and the rest all at 10.

Yesterday late afternoon I ordered a new toaster oven. Found out that Cuisinart and Conair are the same company. And I had found a Cuisinart one that I liked but then found the same one with the Conair name for about half the price. It will arrive next week on Wednesday.

All have a great day.

Good morning, gang! Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!! And yes, we will be celebrating tonight at dinner with tacos that Wesley is making. There's a big celebration at our boat dock tonight, but we're not going. They have a DJ and flamenco dancers. Plus overpriced food trucks and beer & wine. Much better to just stay home with family, right?

We recently changed homeowner's insurance company. Right now we have an inspector checking out the outside of our house. Similar to what Karen went through with her roof, except this guy is going over everything outside. Sure hope he doesn't come inside. Not in the mood for that kind of company today.

Like I said, Wesley is making tacos for tonight. I have an angel food & pineapple cake in the oven for tonight's dessert. It's starting to smell so good in here!

Kathie - I sure hope they settle that writers strike quickly. Most TV shows are winding down for the season, so late night shows are usually the only new thing we have to watch. We no longer get Netflix, as we were piggybacked through Gary's account. Can't do that any longer and Bert won't pay for any extras like Disney+, Hulu, etc.

Dave - Sorry you hit the donut hole already. Hopefully, I have a few months to go before I hit it, but it won't be later in the year like last year. My pulmonologist doesn't give out samples like he used to. Back then I could save better than $100. a month with the freebies. Now nothing!
You've got that right - This vest does not help my blood pressure. It also doesn't help my sleeping either. I only catnap these days and then lie awake for an hour or two before the next catnap. I really need to let my cardiologist know this next time I see him in a couple of weeks.

I guess my blood work from the other day was good. I haven't gotten any phone calls to change my meds. That's a good thing.

Time to give Bert a shopping list of what we need/want from the store.

But my Fitbit counts those steps and without them I might not meet my daily goal, Dave.
Wish all of you Floridians who disown DeSantis had done a better job of convincing your neighbors not to vote him in as your governor for two terms but now the rest of us have to suffer. Just not fair.LOL
Lisa is driving up to Maine today to pick up Juliana whose college classes have ended for this semester, and Rita has gone along so that Lisa doesn't have to make the drive up alone.
I read, or heard, that the reason for the writer's strike is that they are concerned that the shows producers want to use AI (artificial intelligence)to write some of the programs. Judging by what I have seen with some recent TV show plots, A I might actually do a better job.

Good afternoon!

Pat, sorry to hear your vest is still giving you problems, hopefully the cardiologist will reconsider & turn you loose from the vest of doom soon! Your pineapple angel food cake sounds yummy!

Lee, so how was breakfast at the brewery & where are the pics? What projects do you have going on now that are causing you to be so quiet?

Kathie, hope your weather evens out soon, damp gloomy days are no fun, especially this late in the spring!

Bill, I tend to agree with you on the quality of material writers are turning out these days, pretty sure a group of high school students could do better than some of the stuff on tv these days.

Dave, nice that Kathie was able to get out yesterday & treat herself to a massage! They are a nice relaxing treat for sure!

Nancy, nice that you were able to save some $$ on getting the toaster oven you wanted.

Well, lucky me got to start the morning off at the auto parts store buying a new battery for my truck. When I got my oil changed last month they told me it was going bad, but I thought they were just trying to up sale me a service. But the last couple times I started the truck I noticed it didn't want to start right away & yesterday was really bad. I put the battery charger on & charged it up again & it started better, but I decided I didn't want to take a chance on going out & getting stuck some where. So $204 later I have a new battery & the lady at the auto parts store even installed it for me.
Need to spend a little time out in the garage organizing & put things away after my projects of the last couple days, especially before it starts getting to hot again
Have a great day all!

Well Karen, breakfast was not a good experience. Granted it was their first day BUT…the computers were not set up properly for everything on the menu. We sat a full 50 minutes before the server even took our order. I made the error of asking if they had ever heard of pen and paper. Oh, we had coffee but… I actually wanted to pay for the coffee and leave. But I was over ruled. Food was OK once it came. It made for a nice lunch…
No real projects and the such. I just haven’t felt terribly chatty.
Tacos and beverages at home are a lot nicer than over priced truck food and beverages at the dock for sure Pat.
Even more injuries last night Bill as more Leafs fans were jumping off the bandwagon. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
I used to be a real news hound Dave. But now I pretty much stick to my Formula One news feeds and news highlights on my iPad. We do catch the first 1/2 hour of the local Windsor news.
Our neighbour was in California last week Kathie. He was saddened by all of the homeless people everywhere he went. Dan has family out there and went for a short visit.
BBQ burgers for dinner under bright, sunny 70F skies. Sounds OK to me.
You fine people all be good!

I feel for all the writers that are on strike. It really does not affect us as 99% of what we watch is reality or documentaries or NASCAR. As of right now the only fiction we watch is NCIS shows, and we don't watch those on the network. We have Netflix and HULU+ which gives us things we want to watch. With getting rid of cable and only having their wifi and landline and having the Netflix and HULU+ we are saving at least $50 a month if not more.

Hi Wrabbits! Finally Sunny. We got up to 76F this afternoon! THANKFUL!

My job today was to totally clean the StoveTop burners and all the grates and parts. It wasn’t bad looking in some folks eyes, but I just wanted it to sparkle and it did.
Art did some touch up painting of the crown molding. And when he was done there were 2 paint “drips” on the one area where he first started..YIKES! It had plenty of time to dry! bummer.
It had to have been there for over a hour and it somewhat came off, BUT…you could still see the shadow of where it was. Bummer. Mr Perfection said he will now be painting the entire wall! Thank goodness it’s only
9 ft. X. 8 ft. and no nooks or crannies. He said after taping the area it will take less than 1/2 hr to paint.
ALWAYS SOMETHING!
I’m off to return a container of Liquid Bug spray. It has a battery powered sprayer and worked for about halfway around the perimeter of the house and then nothing. So much for something that was suppose to be convenient!
No Taco’s at our house tonight. We had leftover pasta! Ha ha

Karen: Good move getting a new car battery. Hate to see you stranded anywhere these days!
LEE: Sorry your morning outing was ‘lack-lustre’. We’ve learned it’s not always good to hit a new restaurant or new service when it first starts up.
Hopefully, they will improve with time.

Bill: I hope the writers get a good contract. I think AI should not be used to replace peoples jobs!

NEED TO LOOK UP JUST WHEN I can see the “Charles” crowning.
I know there is a time difference, but I managed to stay up and watch the Live funeral of Queen Elizabeth when it was happening.
It’s history that I most likely won’t see again. (Unless Charlie leaves us early) :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Nite gang.

Dave: Hope Kathi enjoyed her massage. I need to schedule a few of those soon!

Note all.

Let's see, what's on tap for today? There's King Charles's coronation AND the Kentucky Derby. I'd bet that the hats will be fancier and the booze better at the horse race. But I must say that I get a kick out of watching all the grandeur of British parades and celebrations. Heck, those horse drawn carriages look like they are out of a fairy tale.

Up and attem K2. The major news networks began broadcasting the coronation festivities at 5 this morning.

With all the concern about your ticker BB. and having to wear that life vest for 3 months, I wouldn't be surprised if you end up with a pacemaker implant.

I'm with you Bill, some TV show plots are just plain weird.

I don't know about you KC, but to me it wasn't that long ago you could buy a new car battery for under $100.

Lee, next time you go to a brewery for breakfast, stick to the hooch.

Good morning. I watched some of the coronation on the computer, while looking at email and other stories. I have to say I loved the headpieces that Catherine and Charlotte wore.

Today will mostly be watching NASCAR.

All have a great day.

Good almost AFTERNOON.

Dave: I was up at 3:50 a.m. and was watching the "HAPPENINGS"! I must say I was more impressed with Queen Elizabeths coronation than Charlies! I watched hers last year and it just seemed grandeur. Now don't get me wrong, they did a great job with all the horses and color guards and marching, etc, etc. Just seemed like something was left out.
I do think if Charles was any older he wouldn't have been able to walk with all the weight of all those Robes on him. And Queen Camilla had this 'smerk' on her face like she was going bust out LAUGHING at any moment.
I do agree with Nancy that Kate and Charlotte looked fantastic. Like twins with their hairdo's.
I felt badly for Harry, but he made his bed and now he has to sleep in it. At least he showed up.

I must say I am a tad tired right now. Ha Ha. Hope the King appreciates I got up so early to watch HISTORY in the making.

DAVE: I liked your choice of the video you posted for us. Sure wish I could move like that gal. Ha Ha.

Lee: We noticed all the homeless people when we did our trip out West and up the coast line years ago. I can just imagine how much WORSE it is now. It's sad to know we can spend MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of dollars on paying one person to play FOOTBALL or BASKETBALL, but have just as many people living under bridges or in high class doorways at night everywhere. Just shouldn't be that way. And what do our government people worry about........what books kids shouldn't be reading and how to ruin a woman's life by the unreal totally POLITICAL laws that are being made about contraception. Sure wish we could go back to the 60's.........not that it was perfect back then.

Off to check out the backyard and see how the plants by the creek are doing.

Enjoy your day Wrabbits. Later.............

Good afternoon, everyone!

And NO, I did not get up to watch the coronation and NO I haven't watched any clips of it either. Just not that interested.

Not much going on around here today. Finished up the rest of Jimmy's split pea and ham soup for lunch. My biggest 1uestion was WHERE THE HECK WAS THE HAM? Definitely was not MY recipe, but what the heck ... I didn't have to cook it!
Gang was here last night for shrimp tacos. They really were very good. There was nothing left by the time dinner was over, so that tells you how much everyone enjoyed them. Now the big question involves what we are having for dinner. I can either make something or we could go out for dinner. That decision still hasn't been made.

Dave - no pacemaker for me. I don't have AFib and don't need my heartbeat regulated. I just need my heart to keep beating.

Kathie - That's an awful lot of work just to cover up one little spot on the wall! Better you guys than us is all I can say.

Lee - Sorry your breakfast experience wasn't the greatest. Usually takes a bit of time to get in sync with a new place. Give them another try in a few months, if they're still doing breakfast.

Hi to everyone else I missed. Time to go help Bert with something. Have a good one!

While Charles was being crowned, Rita and I were sleeping peacefully, secure in the knowledge that the ceremony was being recorded and we would be able to watch it when our local time corresponded to the time when the ceremony was actually taking place in London. The Brits really do know how to stage a spectacular coronation with all the pageantry and golden carriages etc. I was only in the 7th grade when Elizabeth's coronation occurred, but that year my home room teacher was an exchange teacher from England so he gave us a unique perspective for the event.
Celtics fans won't be joining those Leafs fans any time soon, Lee, as the Celts once again dispatched the 76ers though this time not as readily as in the previous game. Red Sox are on a run as well and have now won 7 games in a row. Because they started off so badly, they are still quite a distance from first place in their division but it is a long season.
Thanks, K2, for sharing your warm weather. We expect to be seeing temps in the 70s for at least the next few days.
Not a fan of Mexican food, BB, so Cinco de Mayo was just another Friday for me.

Sorry your breakfast experience was so bad, Lee. Not sure if you should give the place another chance once they have been up and running a bit longer. Probably not, if there are other places nearby where you know the food and service are good.

Sitting on the deck for the first time this year. Partly cloudy, but you can feel the the Rays trying to break through.

I need to learn to MAKE TIME to just sit out here more often.
Gotta get the awning up soon. It’s suppose to be nice next week!

Talked to my Sister-in-law snd she’s in a new rehab. She says she is doing her best to get strong enough to get out of the place. Leg is going to take at least 3 more months to heal after the latest grafts. She is going to sell her 3 level house and move in with her daughter. It’s a long story and a nightmare.
I got off the phone and was totally depressed. Makes you think how vulnerable we all are at our ages.

Okay time to make dinner over here.

Be good little wrabbits. ;)

Hey. Life is good. I just saw my first ORIOLE on the feeder. Yippee it came back!

“HIP, HIP, HOORAY!” “God Save The King”. Words that DumbSantis would like to hear at his ascent to the throne. And I do mean the toilet…
Wolfhead has served lunch and dinner for years. Their foray into breakfast should have been seamless. Simply put, they could have done a better job.
So, did I get up early to watch history? Um, no. Like some of you we recorded the Reader’s Digest version. We’ll catch up as time allows. I did manage to watch practice and qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix though.
Yes Kathie, we are all more vulnerable than we care to think about. Things can change in the blink of an eye! We enjoyed a little patio time this morning with a coffee as well. I completely agree with what you said about government spending billions trying to erase history but there are so many people living on the streets.

I can either make something or we could go out for dinner. That decision still hasn't been made.
That’s even requires a decision Pat? I have to say that shrimp tacos do sit near the top of my favourites!
I like Ed Sheeran tunes Dave. “Thinking Out Loud” certainly showcases his ballroom dance moves. Not unlike Lu-Ann and I. Another great Ed Sheeran video is Perfect Symphony with Andrea Bocelli.
The battery we bought for the van was around $324 Karen. I like your price a whole lot better!
How are things looking for the NASCAR show from Kansas Nancy?
Time to head off. Tomorrow we have some shopping to do. Then, as we have finished the trim in the basement, I can start to do the finishing touchups and the such. It’s looking quite nice.
Be good folks.

Good Sunday morning Bunnies!

Should be another nice warm day here in Ahiya.

Enjoyed watching much of yesterday's coronation. Especially when the announcers would give a background or history of some of the rituals.

I happen to enjoy Mexican food, even though I was probably in high school before I ever had any. It was probably due to the meat, potatoes and a vegetable culture of the midwest at the time.

A very late good morning. Yesterday the small ottoman I ordered came in so this morning Bruce put the wheels on it. I is supposed to adjust taller and I did get it to do that but after a while one side fell so I just collapsed the whole thing. At least I can get my feet up some.

Will be going to lunch in a bit and today will go to Longhorn Steak House.

Will watch the race later.

All have a great day.
