Where in the hell - oh, oh, this thing is on. So, “hello”. Where did today go?
Early Ava walk, COSTCO, a couple of visitors and I got nothing done.
The local Greyhound group is working to bring pups in from Australia. They need donations of collars, coats, toys and stuff. Our gang banded together and has plenty of stuff for them.
Thought of Dave at COSTCO where they had a hot sauce tolerance kit. Lots of small bottles of hot sauce ranging from “wuss” to “OMG, THAT’S HOT”.
It was a beautiful day here too Kathie. Our parks department has been working on getting mulch spread. The rhododendrons are starting to bud. And there have been lots of freighters headed towards Detroit.
I did our salmon in the air fryer Nancy. As well as the carrots and cauliflower in the other basket. Darn fine meal if I do say so myself. Our closest Aldi’s is about 45 minutes from here. Across the border for a $9.00 toll each way.
As with so many things Bill, it’s often more the company than the venue or even the game itself.
I like your mini book posts Pat. Glad you enjoyed Singo / Music Bingo Pat.
“Karen, please report to the principal’s office”.
Have a fantastic evening everyone.

DAVE missed your Morning wake up post! Too much spicy breakfast for you??

Karen this goes for you too. It's okay to take a break. Just miss you! :emoticon 0100 smile:

Sunny here so far. Suppose to get cloudy. :(

I have a list of things to do along with grocery shopping. Friday-Sunday extra fuel points. So I make it a point to keep a list and not shop on Mon-Thurs if possible.

Lee: Nice that your group is stepping up and helping the Greyhound group. I bet the park will be in tip-top shape with all the new mulch. Good for you seeing the freighters.

And GOODNESS $9.00 for the toll to come to the STATES! Crazy. It's the same tunnel or bridge as it's always been. Ha ha. I know maintenance costs, etc, etc have all gone up too.

BB, Negc, Nancy and the above mentioned have a safe and FUN FRIDAY!

Later gang.

Pics of my front shrub trimming I finished on Thursday! Sure glad that’s over with. Still have 22 left to do across the backyard area! NO RUSH on those!

Good morning. Well at one point during the night my right wrist started hurting, will see about maybe getting a brace for it this morning. Yesterday at PT I had to do both the bands and then the arm bike now I can't raise my arms. The other day Bruce brought home some Lidocaine patches 5mg and he used one that night so I decided to try last night, well during the night the neck sis not hurt but as soon as I took it off this morning the neck started hurting.

Will be taking a pair of shoes to UPS to ship back, I like the style but they are too tight, then I will go to Winn Dixie to get steaks and a few other things.

All have a great day.

Time for a quick good morning. Off to get some more blood work done. Once again my potassium is too high. Doctor wants to make sure that it wasn't just a fluke. They have enough trouble finding a vein, so I'm not looking forward to it.

I'll be back later with a few interesting little tidbits to share with you. Now aren't you curious??? :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

And a VERY Good Friday morning to you all.
Yes, it is unusual to pop in any time after 06:00 and not see a morning greeting from Dave. Maybe he's headed to "How much is this gonna COSTCO" to find that hot sauce sampler.

You have such a beautiful home Kathie. Clearly loved and nurtured since you and Art mover there. Thanks for the pics.
This is our place.

OK, I'm lyin' like a cheap rug. These are a couple of the pensioner's cottages at the one entrance to The Navy Yard. The flowers just looked so bright when we headed down with Ava this morning and seemed to be begging to have their picture taken.
You just can't seem to get a break from the aches and pains Nancy.

After our wander we stopped at the vet and picked up food and treats for Ava, then to Canadian Tire to grab 6 bags of Scott's red mulch and lastly stopped for fuel. In the space of half an hour I contributed $235.00 to the local economy.
A few little Tim Bits
Pat? Oh, you said 'tid bits". Tim Bits are good too! They're like donut holes from, yep, Tim Horton's. Tim's is a huge coffee and donut chain across Canada with a few in the US. When Karen came up to Niagara Falls we met here at the hotel with a nice hot cup of Timmies. I do hope that it was just a blip in the levels.
The young lady from GPAC (Greyhound Pets of America - Canada) just left with three big bags of collars, blankets, toys, food, pooh bags, coats and so on. She was quite clearly appreciative of the gang's donations.
So, without further ado, I'm off to spread mulch.
Hope everyone is doing well and we'll see you later.

Back from giving more blood to the cause. Only 1 vial this time, lucky me! Tell that to the silver dollar size bruise that's come up in the spot where the tech took my blood!

We had originally planned to go to True Blue from the blood place, but due to unforeseen circumstances, that didn't happen. Seems like 3 days ago Bert tripped over my oxygen line out on the lanai and fell. He must have pulled something in his upper leg. He had ice on it yesterday and that seems to have made it worse. Now he's walking around with a cane! Of course, he refuses to take Aleve or anything else for that matter. He is so darn stubborn!

Yesterday we were having M&J and their whole crew over for an early Mother's Day dinner, or so Jimmy called it being it was filet mignons. We had everything prepped and were ready to put baked potatoes in the oven when POOF! There went our electric!! The transformer by our house had blown and there were 3 or 4 houses that lost power. Luckily I had already made and partially fried peppers & onions to go on the steaks and we were able to do the baked potatoes on the BBQ, so all was good. Ended up having to eat outside as it was too dark in the house by then. We were just about finished with dinner when the lights came on again.
One good thing came out of our adventure ... Bert got to meet the new next door neighbors! They are a family from Brazil and will be staying here seasonally, like the guy on the other side of us. I feel like I'm getting a complex!!! I did find out that the previous owners were asking $749,000. for the house. These people paid $705,000 for it. Still a pretty penny, but that house has so many great extras.

Just noticed the time. I forgot about lunch and now it's almost time to start things for our pork chop dinner tonight with the gang.

Have a good rest of the day, everyone!

I'm back. Keep your hands firmly on your wallets.

In all honesty, I haven't been feeling all that well for the past few weeks. It started with another bout of bronchitis. With all the tiredness, coughing, hacking up junk, and shortness of breath. So I was on antibiotics and steroids for a week. Well that cleared up most of it, but I still can't shed the shortness of breath.

Of course my A-Fib and the super high pollen count recently doesn't help matters. Sucks at times to be human. Good thing I'm still pretty.

And giving me more grief, our frig died yesterday. So we bought a new one. (There went a thousand bucks.) But it can't get delivered for at least a couple of weeks due to a shortage of people willing to do that job.

Get this; They hired 4 guys last week to make deliveries, and NONE of them showed up for the first day on the job.

But.......Things could always be worse.

For decades we've always bought kitchen appliances only from this local company. They deliver, set up the new one and take away the old one at no extra cost. And remain competitive in their pricing to big box stores. Plus they only fix appliances that they've sold. Good people.

So loved your pictures, K2 & Lee.

I thought you had a generator, BB?

Good morning to the rest of you Wabbits.

Good morning everyone.
Nice to see you back bright and early Dave. Sorry that you’ve not been feeling as perky as usual. OUCH to have the old “ice box” quit. Especially as summer approaches and those blocks of ice don’t last as long. Sadly repairs often cost almost as much as a brand new full warranty unit.
How’s Bert doing today Pat? At least you were able to get outside to finish cooking and enjoy your dinner when the power went off.
I don’t know what may be on tap here today. I’ve been pretty much awake since a tad before 3:00. Yes Bill, there is another 3:00 in the day but this one is dark. ;) Ava and I headed out at 5:30 for our walk. It sure was extra quiet this morning with none of the worker bees of to their jobs.
I sure do hope all is well with Karen.
Anyway, all of you have a fantastic day.

Good morning, guys! Surprised that Kathie hasn't checked in yet. She must still be outside trimming bushes. LOL

Dave - Sorry you've been feeling under the weather. Allergies have been terrible all over this year and that too can be causing you breathing problems.
Yes, we do have a generator, but being the power company said it would take less than 2 hours to fix the transformer, we decided not to hook it up. Besides, we have no gas for it right now. Bert only fills the gas cans when it's hurricane season.

Lee - Bert's leg is still bothering him. Now instead of the cane, he's using an extra walker of mine. I told him that if this keeps up, he needs to go to the doctor to have it checked out. I guess we're going to have to wait until next week to hopefully, get to True Blue one more time,

Have you ever seen a film about how a plague of locusts can clean a field completely? Well that's what dinner at our house the past 2 nights have been like. First all the steak and fixings went. Last night it was the pork chops, mashed potatoes, red cabbage, baby carrots, and corn on the cob. Followed by a big bowl of raspberries, blackberries & blueberries. Gone! Every drop!! They sure can eat when they want to.

Today we are kidnapping the kids for an afternoon of games. I'm sure Nate will want to play Monopoly and Connect 4. We'll end it all with some homemade pizzas.

That's about all I've got for right now. Time for a cup of coffee and to read the newspaper. I need to check to see what "Meatball Ron" is up to today to ruin the state of Florida. Have a wondderful Saturday, everyone!

Good morning. We have been to downtown Ft Pierce and looked around at all the booths and did not find anything to buy. It is held every Saturday. Neighbors across the street have a booth where they sell wooden plant holders and some plants, they do pretty good.

We are going out for Mother's Day tonight, going to Benihana's. Last year on Mother's Day they were seating 9 and 10 people to a table and it was just too much.

All have a great day.

Hope you and Eva are quiet when you take those 5:30 am walks, Lee. Some of us are only up at that ungodly hour when nature calls and don't need outside noises preventing us from getting back to our much needed sleep.
BB, you noted that your family "sure can eat when they want to" and I just have to ask "Is there any time when they don't want to?"
Finding a place around here for Mother's Day dinner that isn't packed is just about impossible so the kids and grandkids will be here tomorrow to feast on pizza, assorted foods and
nibblies and liquid refreshments. Our youngest granddaughter is in the culinary arts program in high school, so, hopefully she will be bringing some delicious desserts.
Sorry about your bruise, BB. I sometimes have the same result when I need to have bloodwork done and frequently they end up having to take blood from my hand because they can't find a cooperative vein in my arm. There are a couple of good phlebotomists at the lab that I go to, so it is a rare occasion that I come out of there looking like a pin cushion.

Bill - The gal who took my blood this time took it about half way between my elbow and my wrist. Never had it taken from there before.
Nice Mother's Day you have planned. Not sure what's happening here, if anything. I think Gary is coming for the afternoon while Elaine is in Miami with her mother for some kind of reunion.

Bert's leg isn't doing any better. Finally convinced him to go with Missy to Urgent Care and get x-rays. She'll pick him up in a little while. Pleae keep your fingers crossed that it's just a muscle pull and not a break. Not sure how we'd handle that at this point.

Bert just got back to the house. Just as I suspected, it looks like a sprain in the groin area. He's supposed to take it easy, put ice & heat on it and walk on it once in a while to relax the muscle.

This is going to be fun as we have L&R coming with their kids and Gary will be here. No home cooked meal tomorrow around here!!

Happy Mother's Day!

It's so nice isn't it when the kids, puppies, and kitty cats grow older, and show that all your caring, worrying, and unappreciated work over the years has paid off.

THANKS MOMS!

Good morning. Dinner last night at Benihana's was very good. We were at a table with one family. I ordered a
  • SUMO ROLL (BAKED)
Krab†, avocado, cucumber, shrimp tempura, salmon, special mayo and it was very good. We both liked it.

The Chef cooked too much fried rice, a full bowl and when one no else answered when he asked if anyone would like it I said yes, thinking I could bring it home with my left overs so I did.

There were two tables of 12, way too many people. Both were one party.

All have a great day.

Good morning and Happy Mother's Day to all the ladies, be you a mother of a person or a
4-legged baby!

Got some of the gang coming in a bit. Not sure what they're going to ge to eat though. M&J were here again last night and they gave me my Mother's Day gift. It's a t-shirt that says
MY SON-IN-LAW IS MY FAVORITE CHILD! Totally cracked me up when I saw it.

Other than company coming, I've got nothing else on tap for today.

Whatever you're doing, make it a good one. Hopefully some of our MIA bunnies will show up today.

Good afternoon! And a Very Happy Mother's Day to all the lady bunnies on here!
Just dropping in to let you know I haven't fallen off any ladders or been abducted by aliens. But I'm pretty sure I'm a charter member of where the heck did the last few days go Club!
Had Wendy & my sister's here yesterday for an early Mother's Day get together. Decided to just do assorted appetizers since none of us really eat that much at one time anymore. Still had to much food leftover!
Went to early Mass at 8 this morning since the men were doing breakfast for the ladies of the church at 9. Ended up staying for that too. Never thought I would end up in an Episcopal Church, but I've been going to this one for about a month now & have just fallen in love with the people! And the priest is a lady and is so sweet and down to earth.
Haven't put the gutter back together yet cause I'm still waiting for a hard rain to make sure I have it all cleaned out. We had one about 2 am yesterday morning but I wasn't getting out of bed & going out in the thunder & lightning to check it.
And that's about all I've been up to over the last week or so!

Echoing everyone, a VERY Happy Mom’s Day to all the Moms out there.
After her Navy Yard walk Ava took Lu-Ann to Caffeine & Co for a Mom’s Day breakfast. Funny that. Ava took us but I still ended up paying. ;) It was cooler on the patio than we had hoped but still nice.
Poor Bert. It sounds painful.
It does sound like you really are enjoying your new church. That’s nice. Good call to stay in during the early middle of the night downpour.
Back to the paint brush.
Hi to the rest of the gang and I do hope you have a fantastic day.
