Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Home from Tampa. Took almost 4 hours as for most Bruce was not driving very fast. Only made two stops one for veggies and one to get me a small burger, Bruce did not get anything because he ate just before we left.

The veggies will be making a very nice salad for dinner. Have just boiled two eggs for it and will put some canned chicken in it too.

K2, yes the race yesterday at Bristol was on dirt and if gets too dry they have to water it. It takes them a few months to load all the different types of dirt on it. Have read that it may be the last on the dirt. Too many fans have said along that if they want to have a dirt race then they need to go to a dirt track. Also they need to quit racing on Easter. Because of the two things making it a dirt track and having it on Easter. That track is just over a half mile but the stands holds over 160,000. But is watching it now I can see the stands were very empty.

From just past Lake Wales we had a bunch of rain, never very hard but a lot. IT was barely raining at the house and I hope more is on the way.

Good afternoon!

Pat, sorry to hear that once again Wes did not follow thru on his promise of help. And in my never to be humble opinion I think it was downright unthoughtful of your family to expect you to host a large family gathering the day after you got out of the hospital. You can bet your buttons we will ALL be reminding you of your decision not to host holiday dinners anymore.

Dave, Lee pretty much covered what a Blondie is, some people call them Blonde Brownies. Nice that your daughter was able to cash in on the current housing market without having to buy something else to replace what she sold.

Kathie, you know we are eagerly awaiting before & after pic's on the new bedroom paint job, hint hint! Glad you enjoyed the movie. Your bunny cookies are really cute looking, I'm sure the kiddo's will be wanting those right away!

Bill, nice that you were able to have most of the family for Easter dinner. I remember the days when all my cousins & my siblings would be at my Grandma's house for holiday dinners, now so many families are scattered across the country that hardly happens anymore.

Lee, hope the weather starts to improve soon so you can begin to make your daily visits to the Navy yard.

Yesterday morning I picked Jane up & we went to church together near her house. Then after church Hansel & her came over for Easter dinner along with Barb. I'm sure Barb had plans to go to the pool after dinner but the weather did not cooperate, it was cool & windy all afternoon with no sun at all. Jane & Hansel spent the night as Jane had a Dr. appt with a Kidney specialist this morning & had wanted me to go with her. Her appt. was at 9:45, we got there about 9:15 and were leaving at 9:50. The Dr. basically went over her prior blood test results & is sending her for an ultra sound of her kidneys just for a baseline. He said her numbers were looking good for now, but with her diabetes & kidney disease she does need to be keeping watch of things with a specialist. Had a bit of rain earlier but now the sun is trying to come out, still very windy though.
That's about all the happenings from Belleview!

Lost the post when I had to sign in! Bummer!

Karen: I promise to take pics and post. It might be towards the end of the week!

Got 1/2 of the rooms carpet shampoo’d. Tues I’ll hopefully do the other half. I put a screen in the window and cranked open the window. Do I hope that might help it dry. The ceiling fan is on too! :clap002:

I hope thing go good for Jane with her Kidney issues.

Pat: Hope you are going your best to stay away from SALT. Read the labels for SODIUM amounts. Your lungs will love you for it. :)

I don’t know where I got all my energy from today, but it did feel good to get all these projects done.

Of to hit the couch and see if anything is on TV.

Just got the results of our Choir’s Bake Sale! With a few donations and the 60 Nut Rolls and all the other Baked Goods the ladies baked we made…
DRUM ROLL PLEASE…..

$2776.00! WOW. WE SOLD EVERY SINGLE COOKIE!

An absolutely beautiful and sunny spring day here yesterday. And will be for most of the week. Each day getting warmer and warmer which by Friday could well be in the lower 80's.

And perfect timing on Friday for our nephew/contractor to fix our back gate which high winds had damaged. Our lawn-guy showed up Monday for the 1st spring mow. (You sure could tell where the pooches "fertilized" over the winter.)

Sounds like a great time in your town Lee to be a buyer of a house.

You sure were an energetic Bunny yesterday, K2. I imagined you in my mind cleaning away with a red, white polka-dot scarf wrapped around your hair. You have my sympathies for having to find a new internist.

Bill; Add me to the list of Bunnies who watched the Beach Boy special. I too never heard of some of those songs.

BB; I also would be annoyed if I was put on a pretty much veterinarian diet. But, I'm quite sure it'll only be for a short while. AS LONG AS YOU follow the doctor's orders. That Aladdin skit was a hoot.

ALWAYS a DElight hearing what you're up to KC. That sucks that Jane has BOTH diabetes and kidney disease. One would be bad enough.

Ya'll have a good day. Around here we haven't been invaded by summer bugs, yet. So no need for us to close the back door once the pooches go out.

Another day starts here in The Burg.
Pat, you know you’re gonna take a bunch of grief from all of us if we catch wind of you and Bert hosting another big gathering. It’s most important that you two take care of yourselves and each other.
Wow Kathie, you sure were busy around the house! Congratulations to the church for raising so much from the baking you are so much a part of.

I hope that Jane’s numbers stay stable Karen. Unfortunate that the rains came when you had plans.
They’re telling us that we’re in for a stellar weather week too Dave. Temps are way above average for this time of year. Last week was winter. This week it’s summer.
NASCAR gotta get rain tires Nancy. Even the golfers toughed out some nasty rain at The Masters. ;) Yes, I’m teasing you.
If Boston sports teams keep treating visitors that way Bill, nobody’s gonna want to come and play with them.
Best get going. I have a few things to do downstairs this morning and early afternoon. Then Ava has a trip to the vet for a nail trim at 3:00.
You all be good and have a great day!

HAPPY TUESDAY EVERYONE!
Another SUNNY day here in
PURE Michigan! 50F right now and climbing! :clap002:

Did I tell you I got my SPAKENING NEW License plate in the mail. It has the Mich State Univ helmet logo on it. They stopped offering the BIG "S" letter. It's a GREEN LOGO (of course) and it really looks good on the white vehicle. I like it!
spartan-helmet.jpg
GO GREEN!

Love that Dave, Lee and myself are getting little projects done so we can be sure to enjoy the "short" Spring and Summer weather coming our way. It's going to be up to the 80's by the end of the week. Hard to believe, but I'll take it big time.
Need to make a date for the kids to come over and help Art put the awning up on the deck. That reminds me that I need to go over to Lowes and look for a new deck rug. The old one lasted about 12 years and it was time to retire it to the curb after last season.

The carpet dried really well with that window open and the ceiling fan on. :emoticon 0115 inlove: I moved the empty dresser back to its original spot and the tall shelving unit is angled in the corner. Can't wait to pick out a paint to paint the 3 items. I have just a 3 foot slice of carpet to shampoo after I moved all the furniture back into it's spots once I get off of this computer. Hopefully Art will put the brackets back up for the drapes.
OH DEAR.... I forgot I have to lay those drapes out in the foyer and hand vacuum them. Another job for me to do before Art gets back from biking. Maybe I can do them outside on the deck railing.

Lee: I hope you can get Ava over to the Navy Park to wear down her newly clipped nails.
I promise you that we will be meeting you guys at that park this year. I want to go over to BobLo property and see it again. Great memories on that island.

PAT: With that AIR FRYER you should be able to make a lot of interesting Vegetable meals. I'm sure a BOOK came with that unit. Get it out and read it. And you have your library that you can check out low carb food menus. We want you around for a LONG TIME, so put all your effort into eating the right foods. :emoticon 0152 heart::emoticon 0115 inlove:

Karen: What's on tap at the Belleview Hutch today?

I'm off to the Pancake Pantry for a GERMAN PANCAKE and some of their overly priced coffee to go with it. My TREAT to MYSELF for all my hard work yesterday.

I must say that it sure was nice to see the sunshine coming through the front glass doors this morning. They actually sparkled from being so clean.

Out of here........later Wrabbits.

Good morning. Well we never got more rain but it is still overcast today, so maybe today.

Lee, as of this year NASCAR has decided that tracks of 1 mile or less there are to be rain tires and windshield wipers on all cars, not just road courses. So far have not had to use.

I think that today I will cook the ham I bought.

All have a great day.

Good morning, gang! A sunny, but very windy day here in the sunshine state. We could definitely use some rain, but hopefully, that will come along later in the week.

Kathie - Congrats to you and the other ladies for preparing all those goodies for the bake sale. You all did great. You are making me tired just reading all you're doing right now. You sure are a bundle of energy.
Unfortunately, the air fryer did not come with a recipe book. I do have a cookbook of recipes for the air fryer though, so I should be good. Yesterday I had Missy order a spiralizer for me from Amazon. She has Amazon Prime, so doesn't have to pay postage. Within 5 hours it was delivered to her house! Got there faster than she could get home from work!! I'll get to play with it today. I am watching my salt intake and the only thing I may break the rule on is salting the water (a little bit) when I make pasta. Otherwise it is way too flat tasting.

Dave - A nurse called me yesterday and during the course of the conversation, she told me that it would be ok for me to eat filet mignon as long as I didn't do it every night of the week. Like I'd ever want to do that. Trying to find things to gain weight is a lot harder than trying to lose weight. At least for me it is.

Karen - My family doesn't expect us to host holiday dinners. I usually just volunteer to do it. I know how I want things to taste and some of what others make is not to my liking. I'm just going to grin and bear it in the future.
Sorry Jane is having so many problems. I hope her doctor is able to get her on a more stable course.

Lee - How's that Navy Park looking these days? Has spring flowers started peeking out yet?

Got word yesterday that a very dear and close friend from here in Bellalago passed away on Sunday. He was one of the original friends we made here when the Grille originally opened under John. Missy is the one who told Bert and then he in turn told me. Missy stopped over last night and we had a drink in Nick's honor. The world has lost a real good guy.

Aside from figuring out how to use this spiralizer, I don't have much planned for today. Bert & Missy are going to Publix to pick up a dew things that I am actually allowed to eat. But for right now, I guess it's time for me to see about making something for lunch other than grass clippings!!

Have a great day, everyone!

LOVE when I REWARD myself for all the hard work I do at times! Ha Ha. This was Sooo Good.

Only it is served with Lemon wedges that you squeeze all over it and Powdered Sugar. Like I died and went straight to heaven.

Came home and did the rest of the carpet in the bedroom.
I have ALL the doors and windows opened up because I put Stuffed Cabbage Rolls in the oven. Lordy this place smells ETHNIC! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme: :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

PAT: Use the Miss DASH SALT in the WATER. You'll never know the difference. Keep up the good work girl.

Off to drag the curtains outside on the deck railing to vacuum them! Almost done. Just need the MISTER to put up some brackets and help move furniture and mattresses back into the room. That will be tomorrow! Gotta let this carpet dry good.

Summer Melting GIF by WAP
75 degrees right now at 1:52 pm. Love it!

Hump Day? It CAN'T be halfway though the week!

Well fellow northerners, it sure is nice this week having temperatures 20 degree plus higher than normal. We sure are seeing and hearing a lot of motorcycles. Next week at this time we'll probably be whining up a storm about it returning to "normal" temperatures.

How cool for you to have the MSU logo on your license plate, K2. How much extra does that make your plate cost? (I can't remember if Michigan has plates just on the back of the car.) And thanks so much for the pictures.

BB; Unsure of what it is, I had to look up "spiralizer" yesterday, thanks to you. Now I know for sure. I even watched a couple of videos demonstrating it. No more plain vegetables coming out of you kitchen anymore.

Since I never use a salt shaker, my last blood test flagged that I was low on the sodium count. SURE, I'll eat more chips and popcorn.

After watching this morning's update on that mass shooting at that bank, I'm really starting to think that more and more American's are getting angrier & angrier at all this carnage created by gun violence. And totally fed up with people legally owning assault rifles.

I can only hope so. It's about time. Time to love people more than loving your guns.

Time to get up Wrabbits!
Wednesday Hump Day GIF by Chippy the Dog
Now don’t be doing anything that will take out your backs just because it’s HUMP Day! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Kitchen floor gets done today!
Art’s doing “Touch Up’s“ on the baseboards and crown moldings where the Blue Tape didn’t quite do it’s promised job of keeping the paint off the walls!
ALWAYS SOMETHING!

Put out the first piece of laundry outside to dry! Yup….it’s nice here today!

B44CC66E-C591-4849-8C95-1F8CF31A7AF5.jpeg
DAVE: I think it cost me $35 bucks for that license plate. The money goes to the COLLEGE! I also pay a fee to be able to go into all Michigan Parks. Well worth it since we have a lot of nice parks in Michigan. It’s called a Recreation Pass.
You all behave and report back on what you did Today.

Later gang.

DAVE: Just not enough kids and people KILLED to stop sell those damn AK-14 guns. I think NOTHING will be done until all the MORONS in Washington get shot in the A@s. And even then I bet they wouldn’t wake up and ban those attack weapons. So sad.

Good morning. Have PT this afternoon and if they say to use the arm bike then I will make sure to tell they I will only do 6 minutes total as my arms still ache from last Wednesday doing 10 minutes.

As to what will it take to stop the sale of assault rifles, to me it will have to be someone in a
politicians family getting killed by someone using one. And maybe even a politician getting killed with one. They love the money they get from the NRA and manufactures too much,

It is overcast today and we had gotten a bit of rain early this morning.

All have a great day.

My turn to chime in with a HAPPY HUMP DAY!! As Nancy said, it's very overcast here and rain is called for later, which is a bummer. We wanted to go to the monthly music BINGO at the Grille tonight, but if it rains, that's not going to happen.

Kathie - Good for you getting the MSU plate for your car. I used to have a Gator plate on mine and was very proud of it. I understand the Gator plate is the most popular college plate in the country. Now I just have a handicap plate instead.:(

Nancy - Good luck with the PT today. I sure am glad that the hospital agreed with me when I said that I didn't need PT this time. I'm doing fine getting around. Biggest complaint I have is wearing the Life Vest and having the heavy battery pack around my neck. That thing alone weighs about 5 lbs!!

Dave - I had a primitive spiralizer that you twisted by hand. That was a pain. This one you just turn a crank to make all sorts of curly stuff. I haven't used it yet though, but will in the next couple of days. Best part is that you can make french fries with it and cook them in the air fryer. That will take a bit of experimenting, but I'll figure it out.

Bert is off to the dermatologist right now. He was concerned about a mark that came up on his arm. To me it looks like a bruise, but he wanted it checked anyway. Never got to eat our chicken parm last night, so that's going to be lunch today. If the rains hold off, we'll head for the Grille tonight. Otherwise, it will be chicken parm sandwiches. We're flexible!!

We have all sorts of wildlife here in our community, but yesterday, I saw a first - There were 2 people riding HORSES r ight outside out house! Someone must have had visitors who came with horses and the people decided to exercise them. Bad nough people don't clean up after their dogs. Now we have to deal with horse poop too. I hope someone scoops it up and puts it in their garden!

On that note, I'm out of here. Hi to the rest of the gang that I missed. I'll try to stop back later. In the meantime, have a wonderful Wednesday!

K2- only thing missing from your bake sail pictures is a photo of the tables that were loaded with nicely arranged goodies after the hungry hordes descended and decimated them. Good job, ladies.
Seems our status have come up with another way to separate us from our money with all the different license plate designs honoring schools, ball teams, historic sites, and various causes. Used to be that we could recognize what state a car was from, just by glancing at the license plate. Now there is so much information besides the plate number and color to decipher that it takes much longer to make that determination. While we have quite a few in Mass. I think that, from recent observation, Florida has the greatest number of different plate designs.
Met with our attorney yesterday to begin the all too long delayed process of estate planning.

Lots of appointments this month- doctors, physical therapist to deal with my problem hip, hearing aid center for routine visit, baked ham dinner held by our HOA, and high school class luncheon to discuss our upcoming 65th anniversary reunion in June. Glad we were able to rest up in Florida the past few months or I don't know if we could handle all this activity.
Weather has been getting progressively better (warmer) and by the end of the week it may feel like we are back in Florida. Besides the robins and the proliferation of daffodils and jonquils, yet another harbinger of Spring has been noticed in some lawns - the dreaded dandelion and pollen counts are rising.

Negc: There ARE pictures of the PASTRIES before they got bought up! You must have missed those. Go back up and check them out.

Went to Costco and got the 6 items on my list. Only things added were Lamb chops that were $5.99 a pound now. That's down from $8.99 and 7.99 the last few times I checked them.

Also, bought a bag of Fresh Mussels. So tonight we'll be having Mussels and Spaghetti Squash. Simple and good.

It's 80 degrees and SUNNY here right now. Loving it. Now to find my SHORTS.

These long slacks are way too hot.

What a beautiful afternoon here in Southern Ontario. Bright sunshine and 79F with NO humidity.
Tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer. Call is for sunshine right through Saturday with rain on Sunday and Monday. And highs of 48F both days.
Well Kathie, we'd love to see you both but Boblo is still off limits. The developer building homes over there has said it's too dangerous for people, other than residents and registered guests of residents, to be wandering on the island. The same island that had a couple of Parks Canada sites that we all pay taxes to support. Your church "Goody Table" looks like an old fashioned dessert buffet from cruises back in the day! Actually, better than some!
Yes Bill, we used to be able to tell what state vehicles were from by their plates. Now
it's anybody's guess. Would you believe that Colorado leads the way with more than 200 choices!

maybe even a politician getting ki**ed with one.
I would like submit a list of possible candidates... Hope physio is kinder to you than it was the other day Nancy. Yes, I changed the "l"'s to asterisks. I think that wet weather always highlights the drivers with greatest car control and skill. No matter what form of racing you enjoy.
So Pat, what other things have you "seen" since you've been eating this new fangled food selection? Or are you just horsin' around with us? The Navy Yard is starting to pop out in full colour. The spring flowers are out. Daffodils and Crocus'. The Rhododendrons should be popping out soon. Tons of Blue Jays and Cardinals adding to the colour.
After the heart thingy I stopped using salt like I used to as well Dave. I may season water for pasta but don't use nearly as much as I used to. I never put it on food any more. "Hump Day". Now there's a term that doesn't mean as much as it once did!
Hi Karen.
Well, our friend Lisa should be here by now. She's coming for a few days as well as to see her new home in person for the first time. She has a walk through set for tomorrow at 2:00 pm. We all hope that she will be even more thrilled when she sees it in person! Tonight there is a little get together for her.
So, that said, I better hit the shower and wash off some of the "man glitter" (sawdust) that has landed on me while Doug and I finished up boxing in the basement windows and putting the trim around them. We figure Friday will be perfect to finish up the baseboards.
Everyone have a fantastic rest of the day!

Lee: Bummer on not being able to go over to BobLo. I guess I was lucky when I took the ferry over a few years back. Maybe if I said I was interested in looking at Real Estate I could get away with it. There was a Restaurant over there and a Ice Cream shoppe. I wonder if it's still around or opening up for the season?
I guess we'll have to meet up at Navy Park one day before all the flowers are all bloomed out. I'm just not sure I could be there as EARLY as you get there. Ha Ha.

Got the bed back together and the drapes are back up. Now to work on washing the dresser where the drawers go. Amazing how much dust gets in those areas. Need to hang a picture too. One of my very favorite ones from our visit to the SAN Diego Zoo! Amazingly it's going to still match up really well with the new paint color.

I'm bringing up the Air purifier ASAP. My throat is driving me crazy from all the pollen from the tree's buds bursting outside. I really should have never opened all the windows and doors yesterday to get the Stuffed Cabbage smell out of the house. With the WIND it must have brought in all that ugly pollen.

81F here at of 4:30 pm. Holding off on turning the Air Conditioner on. Just too early for that.

Lee: Have fun with Lisa. Does she have a Greyhound too? I think it's almost required in your group of friends.
