Good morning, everyone! Another beautiful morning here in Kiss-my-a$$, but we may get some t-storms early this afternoon. We still need some rain so badly, I'd willingly take an inch or two right about now.
Dave - We got some of those Blue Bunny mini ice cream cones last week when Publix had them on a BOGO. They are so delicious and just the right size. Had to find room for them in the freezer next to the Klondike bars we got on a BOGO the week before.
Lee - Like I said yesterday, I wasn't really in the mood for some Crazy Good wine, but I sure was in the mood to go to DiCarlo's for dinner when Bert suggested it. Just happened to be the night they have entertainment and we got to enjoy about an hour of that while we finished up our dinner. While we were there, a group of about 20 people came in from a golfing community nearby. Obviously they come see this guy sing often. A few of the women actually got up and were dancing to some of the songs he sang. They were having a ball.
Kathie - Hope you feel better soon. All this pollen has me very congested too. I did a breathing treatment first thing this morning, but so far it isn't breaking up the congestion. I just took a Mucinex DM and hope that will help.
I am not a fan of spaghetti squash. Missy made it one day as Jimmy can't have regular pasta these days. It was OK, but I won't be going out of my way to buy it, considering how expensive it is. Right now Florida corn, yellow squash and zucchini are coming in. I want some fresh corn that I can take off the cob and freeze for future use. I already have the squashes.
Bill - Good luck with your meeting with the attorney. We are still looking for a lawyer here to redo all our paperwork. Last lawyer we spoke with wanted to charge EACH OF US over $2,000 for estate planning. I don't think so and so the search goes on.
I don't think I've told you the latest thing going on here. Seems like there's some French company that wants to put in a green energy park right outside Bellalago on land that was to be a huge county park. They want to manufacture solar panels, ion batteries, hydrogen, etc. Everyone is up in arms over this. They would be tapping into Lake Toho for water to make the hydrogen and would be dumping into the ground any byproducts left over. There are thousands and thousands of people living in the immediate area, plus 5 schools close also. This company has never done this in the US before and in view of some of the recent accidents with dangerous materials (train wreck) and the possibility of lightening hitting something explosive make this so unsuitable for this area. Not to mention what it would do to the value of all of our properties. This is just wrong on all fronts. It's still in the early stage, but things can move fast, when they want to slip something through.
On that note I'm going to look for something to eat for lunch. Missy is making a shrimp stew for dinner that she's been working on for 2 days and will be bringing some over for us for dinner. I can't wait to try it with the way they all have been raving about it.
