Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Good morning. It is supposed to be hot today with a chance of rain, will see.

Woke this morning and I can barely raise my right arm, the left is a bit better but not a lot. I will have Bruce rub both later.

All have a great day.

Good Saturday morning, gang! Not a lot planned for today beyond maybe a trip to Lowe's or Home Depot to pick up a new supply of herbs for the raised planter.

Missy's shrimp stew last night was delicious and, Kathie, I am allowed to eat as much shrimp, shellfish and regular fish as I want on my heart healthy diet.

That's about all I have for this morning. If anything exciting happens around here today, I'll get back to you. Otherwise, have a fantastic day, no matter what you might be doing.

Good 'almost afternoon'!

The Cement dust is still going on across the street BIG TIME this morning. The Wind is blowing it AWAY from our house.... thank goodness. Still can't open the windows or go outside. Not worth the risk.

I'm feeling better and the decongestant is doing it's thing.

PAT: I did a google on Heart Healthy foods and YOU of COURSE ARE RIGHT about the seafood. Omega 3's are good. Keep up the good work girl.

I have nothing for you Wrabbits now. Be back later.

This ones for you Karen!

Good Mornoon...not quite morning, not yet noon!

Nothing exciting here today either. Went to the Vet's this morning to pick up Scooter's Bp meds & then to JoAnn fabric to get some material to make new cushions for my rocking chair. Not a place I normally shop but I still had $19 left on a gift card so may as well spend it.

Kathie, glad the vicks & hot showers are doing the trick! Smart move staying inside out of the concrete dust & pollen!

Lee, nice that your gang is all together once again! Sounds like a fun celebration last night.

Pat, hopefully you & the rest of the nearby communities can stop that company from building. Sure can't count of the county or city officials to look out for you.

Dave, I like how you think, it's not an "extra" goody if it's on the list. I just hope you didn't tempt Mother Nature to badly by putting the snow blower away so soon.

Time to see what I can rustle up for lunch, later gang!

Last week was a relatively productive one. Got all the necessary paperwork done at the lawyer's office and the cost was far less than that $2,000 you were quoted BB. I guess only time will tell if it was as effective as we hope it to be.
Also got our taxes filed and accepted by the Feds and the State. Small refunds coming from both, so that means we didn't let them keep too much of our money last year.
An even busier week in store next week with my high school class semi-annual luncheon, the first of who knows how many PT sessions to deal with my hip, a visit to the hearing center for my hearing aid, which fortunately seems to be working quite well, and an LCR tournament run by my fishing group.
Hope that your Easter weather is as pleasant as what we experienced last Sunday, K2 and that you are right about the reason for your symptoms and that they will disappear soon.

Good Mornoon
I love that Karen!
Pat, simply start spreading the word that this new industry is funded by Disney. DumSantis will put the brakes on it before it even gets off the ground. It's a fine line between shrimp, shrimp stew and tempura shrimp, isn't it.
The wind blowing away from your house is a good thing Kathie. There's still enough construction around here that there's always dust in the air and in the house. Well, that's what we tell people. ;)
I hope Art got a little biking in the past few days. I know he's an all season rider but the past week has just been a bonus!
Actually Dave, Lisa has hired a company for the move. She will separate stuff into "pitch it", "donate it" and "move it". They pretty much take care of the rest! They are also helping her pack.
I'm part way through cutting the grass and using Scott's Lawn Response on it. The lawn's around here did not winter well. It's gonna take some work! With the rain and cooler temperatures coming tonight and tomorrow it's a good time to get the overfeeding and fertilizer down. Problem is I have to wait for the lawn mower batteries to recharge. They run out of juice if I want to cut front and back the same day.
Hmmm. Who dat who just popped in?
Hiya Bill.
Lu-Ann and The Grey Ladies are all up at the new high school which is hosting an art and crafts show. Somehow I'm willing to bet that lunch in town will be involved!
I best check my batteries and get back to work.
Everyone have a fantastic day.

Negc: Good for you getting your ESTATE PAPERS in order. So have any one in particular of your children been treating you REALLY NICE since you started this Estate Planning? Ha Ha. Hopefully, you didn't tell them about it before you started. But we all know "ALL" your kids are really good to you and Rita.
We have a Estate Plan and I think it cost us $1000 at the time we had it done. I was working for a Financial Planner (Lincoln Financial) and the lawyers at the referral gave us a break in the price! Lord knows what they will want for a REVIEW of our Plan. We really should get the book out and look it over. Never too early to get things in order at our ages.

Heart Love GIF by Eledraws (Eleonore Bem)
Ha Ha.... for the person on the receiving end that is!

Negc: Hope your PT helps your HIP out. Did you have a HIP REPLACEMENT or was that someone else in the Hutch?

Jill and I are going to go to the MIDNIGHT SERVICES to avoid the "Twice a year people" on Sunday. I will be wearing my MASK big time.
It's actually a very nice service and in years past the church was full, but not overly jammed.

HRISTOS VOSKRESE.... Christ has Risen! (the traditional greeting said a thousand times the next few days)

Dust is settling across the street. I guess they only work a 1/2 day on Saturdays! :clap002:

I have found and KILLED 4 Big Black ANTS in the house the past few days. ORKIN will be getting a call from me to SPRAY THIS ENTIRE HOUSE AND OUTSIDE too. I hate to spend the money, but if there's one thing I can't STAND IS ANTS! In 30+ years we never had Ants. Why now???

I know you Florida Belles are laughing at me! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

CUTE LEE..... very CUTE! I just hope these ANTS aren't crossing the INTERNATIONAL BORDER at Windsor or the Ambassador Bridge! o_O

HAPPY EASTER, K2!
What, you don't like your aunts???
I remember those push-pops.

Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day to get married. Sunny & around 80 degrees. And we know a couple that actually did that. One of Kathi's sons and his family went to the wedding. Her son was part of the wedding party. But Kathi had to go over to his house to babysit 2 granddaughters from about 3:30 till about 10:30 since the reception was adults only. A picture perfect day.

They mentioned yesterday that the Corvette is 70 years old now. And they are coming out with a High-Powered electric model. I asked Kathi if I could get one, but she said NO. And do you know what her lame reason was? "You'd have a hard time getting in and out of it." The wise-guy in me replied, "That's what you are for."

You make cushions too, KC? You sure have many, many talents.

I'm also nosy about your hip, Bill; Due for a replacement or repair?

Good name for "him" Lee....DumSantis.

Got a feeling that Kathi is going to be sleeping in, real late.

HAPPY EASTER, KATHIE! and to the rest of the gang, Good Morning!! Pretty day outside with a "marginal" chance of severe weather. Had some of that severe weather stuff last night with lightening flashing for hours and a really good soaking of rain which we so needed.

Today is a leftovers day. Leftover shrimp stew for lunch and leftover DiCarlo's dinners. I think tomorrow, when we can start over again, might be a good day for some steaks. I can only eat filet mignon. Poor me!!! Other steaks have too much fat content.

Got to change out this life vest I am wearing. Need to connect all the wires and terminals in the right places and them put the defibrillator pads in the right place. Fun, huh? I feel like I am in a straight jacket. Then with the battery pack hanging around my next, it's a reall pain in the a$$! Plus is very uncomfortable and hot.

Never got to go buy any herbs yesterday after all. Instead we went to Target and bought some good old fashioned games -Monopoly, Sorry, Connect 4 and Uno. I want the kids to have something to do when they're here next week other than always having their faces glued to their cell phones. These are all games I ran past the kids the other day and they want to play them. I can't believe neither of them has ever played Monopoly! Times sure have changed though. That $2.98 Monopoly game that we grew up with now costs $20. and up, depending on the theme of the game you buy. I went traditional.

Dave - The only good part of SNL last night was weekend update. We thought the rest of the show was terrible.

Time to run - Brian is on the phone for our weekly gab session. Have a wonderful day!

Happy Easter Bunny GIF
That would be for "ME"! Thanks All.
I went to Midnight services with Jill. It wasn't as well attended as most years.
As I drove home at 1:15 a.m. I noticed only 1 place open for drive thru food. Yup, good old

WHITE CASTLE had a WRAP AROUND LINE to their drive-thru! Made me laugh. All the drunks soaking up the alcohol after a Saturday night good time! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: When I got closer to home there was our trusty TACO BELL with the same wrap around drive-thru lines.

Dave: It would have been a PEFECT DAY for a wedding. I'm sure the couple was grateful for no rain.
And I would have said the EXACT SAME THING about "WHY you Shouldn't get a Vette"! Just can't get in or out of them at our age! Ha Ha

PAT: Good choices on the games, sure hope the kids actually take the time to play them with you guys.

The temps here in our area are DROPPING FAST. We're getting the NASTY storms sometime this afternoon that are coming from the West. They had some beauties the last 2 days.

Karen: Did you get your cushion material? So much to choose from. I bet they'll look great once you get done sewing them.

I'm feeling HUMAN again today. Nose has almost stopped running, cough is gone and ribs are not as sore. Hope this Cold/Sinus/Pollen thing is in the books and down with.

Lee: Hope you get out to the Navy Park before the rain starts.
Sounds like Lisa has everything in order to make the big move. Good for her to be able to hire all the help. I love the choice of piles....
"pitch it", "donate it" and "move it" Excellent choices! I can just imagine how much a gallon of PAINT will cost Lisa and the cost to have somebody paint her new home! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Okay, I need to get off of this thing and try and go outside before the rain hits. I'm going to put on my little mask to avoid the FLOWERING POLLEN from the beautiful Dogwood and Cherry Blossom trees that are BLOOMING EVERYWHERE around here. So pretty, but so hard on my NOSE this year.

PAT: Can you tell us more about this LIFE JACKET? How long do you have to wear it? What does it do?

Enjoy your day.

Good morning. It is already 91 here and late this afternoon we are supposed to get a lot of rain, they say over 2 inches, but we will see.

Arms are feeling a bit better but the right hand is very swollen, only the thumb is not. So I can't make a fist.

All have a great day.

What is the LifeVest Wearable Defibrillator?

woman-gardening.ashx

Picture of LifeVest

The LifeVest® wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) is worn by patients at risk of sudden cardiac death (SCD). A defibrillator is a device that is used to control dangerously fast heart rhythms by applying an electrical shock to the heart. While some defibrillator devices are implanted under the skin, the LifeVest WCD is worn directly against the patient’s skin. With LifeVest, patients can have a constant safeguard against SCD.

Does that help to explain it? I don't really think I need this, but I have to wear it at least until I see my cardiologist on the 26th. This vest was decided upon by a cardiologist at the hospital they took me to who hasn't a clue who I am or what my condition is. He was trying to convince me to have open heart surgery, which I can't have because of the COPD. That attached battery pack weighs about 4 lbs, is about 3"x6" and hang around my neck. I can't clip it onto my pants because it would pull the pants down!!

Now aren't you glad you asked? LOL Oh yeah, one last thing - Ain't no way you can wear a bra with this either, so the girls get to hang free for a while!!! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile::emoticon 0136 giggle:;)

Fell and broke my hip a couple of years ago but it has been bothering me more in recent months, so I believe some PT will help improve things.
What a fantastic weekend to be a sports fan in Boston, and the weather has been cooperating as well. The Celtics started their playoffs with a win over Atlanta and the Red Sox actually beat the Angels and are currently leading LA this afternoon. Tomorrow the Sox will play an early game and the fans can leave Fenway at the end of the game and walk a couple of blocks to see the runners as they are completing their 2023 Boston Marathon and later the Bruins will be on the Garden Ice to open the NHL playoffs.
This is the 10th Anniversary of the bombing at the Marathon finish line that killed three spectators (including an 8 year old boy) and seriously injured a number of others, so the TV and papers have been filled with stories about that tragedy and about some of those who survived. Two of the police officers who graduated from the Police Academy with my son Kevin, were victims of the bombers. One officer was killed by the bombers and the other was seriously wounded in the shootout when the bombers were located in a nearby town.
The delightfully warm weather has created a profusion of flowering trees and bushes and where we previously saw a
gray and gloomy landscape we are now treated to beautiful views.

Raining on and off here since about 2:30 pm. Dreary outside.
At least everyone that went to EASTER SUNDAY services made it before the rain hit.
Lots of beautiful pictures on Fbook of people in church and outside around church.

PAT: WOW... that's one GIZMO you have to wear girl. And I must say you are
SO LUCKY that your brother TONY isn't around to ready this sentence! I'm still thinking about what he would have had to say.
Now aren't you glad you asked? LOL Oh yeah, one last thing - Ain't no way you can wear a bra with this either, so the girls get to hang free for a while!!!

We did some work outside before the rain started and then had a early Easter Dinner. Rolled up Lasagna Rolls. Really good. I made a dish of them for Jill and gave them to her at church last night. I just wasn't up to doing a big Easter Dinner after having the Cold/Sinus/Pollen issues this week. I'm feeling much, much better.

EARLY DENTIST appt for both Art and myself tomorrow. 8:45 a.m.

Negc: I saw some things on TV about the Boston Bombing Anniv. Always so sad to know so many passed away because of a sick person like that.

Shootings in Alabama at a Sweet 16 B-Day party killing at least 4.

Shootings in Louisville. Monday and Saturday. Crazy times. But they just can't pass any laws to help get guns out of the wrong peoples hands.

2 Dead and 4 Injured in Shooting at a Kentucky Park, Police Say

The gunfire in a Louisville park came as hundreds of people were outside enjoying a warm spring night. It comes just days after a mass shooting in the same city.

Well the thunder started at about 4:30 and the rain just after 5:30 and so far we have gotten 2.6 inches. Some of the lightning was very close to the house. Had a weather alert that said possible tornado(s) so go to the basement. I don't know of any house in the bottom 2/3rds of the state that has a basement. Not raining at the moment but supposed to again later. I don't think this will get rid of the deficit of rain but it is a big help.

Al have a good night.

Late yesterday and this morning I keep hearing this faint humming sound. What could that possibly be? It's the sound of a furnace running. Our 9 days or so of sunshine and temperatures near or over 80 degrees is over. Reality raises its' ugly head. Today's high will only be in the lower 40's.

That's quite some "life vest" you're wearing, BB. But be glad you have this defibrillator to wear until they figure out your heart problem. As for SNL, the "Weekend Update" is always the funniest part of the show thanks to those two characters.

Good to hear that your schnoz is starting to behave itself, K2. Today we are getting the rain you had yesterday. (Rainy days and Mondays always get me....) So nice of you and Art to also be supporting the dental professionals.

I filled out my absentee ballot yesterday. I could have sworn that before this they always showed a candidates party affiliation. Not this time. So I had to dig up a computer page that did.

It's also interesting that in mail and TV advertising that very, very few give any indication of which political party the person belongs.

Bill; Hope that's not arthritis building up in your hip.

Good Monday morning to the rest of you Bunnies!

Good morning.
Lots of chat over the weekend. Nice!
I’m tired. Seems we haven’t stopped since we got home. Wednesday we head to Gettysburg for the annual Greyhound event. We haven’t been since Covid. We’ve decided this will be the last one so we want to catch up with some old friends.
I bet that vest would set off the bells and whistles going through security checkpoints at the border, airport or cruise terminal Pat.
The temperature says 43F but the wind chill feels like 36F. The furnace kicking on, like Dave’s, says it’s cold. Neither Ava nor I were impressed on our shortened walk this morning.
I have a dentist appointment at 8:00 to replace an old filling that’s worn down.
Better get organized.
Have a fantastic day my friends.
