Good morning.
Safe travels Nancy.
Question is Dave, was Kathie up early, still hadn’t gone to bed or was having trouble sleeping. “P” is being spoiled. As are all pups who cross our threshold.
I too would have thought that one of the ”Facebookers” on here would have been able to dig up some info on Pat. For now I have to hope that no news is good news.
I’d be suspicious of the quality of the paint in the can that’s that old Kathie.
At the end of the day Bill, at least the airline is giving the passengers something. Something more than a keychain, a pen and a hat. :emoticon 0140 rofl:
Hi to the rest of the crew. You all have a good day!

Good Morning Wrabbits.

BB: Did send me a reply to my query about why she was in the hospital this time.

Brief as it was she said she her breathing wasn't good in the night and her heart was having issues. So off she and Bert went to the ER. I can't remember if it was by way of ambulance or not. (doesn't matter... she's where she should be) She stepped down from Cardiac ICU to regualar ICU. And that's all I know. I know she has posted funny cartoons on her Facebook page, but doesn't reply to the last message/note I sent her. Let's hope she comes home soon and is doing much better.

Lee: Actually, I was wrong when I said that Art got the date from when this room was painted off the old paint can. He had it written down in his "things done
journal" and that's how we knew the date last painted. He has gotten rid of a LOT of PAINT CANS under his workbench that had a inch or 2 of paint left in them when we did the major painting of the kitchen, hallway, dining room and family room. Thank goodness they're gone. He would never had used them anyways. I don't think they would have been any good for even a "touch-up" after so many years. Why do you guys keep paint for so long?????

Our list is nicely typed and updated now. We'll have to remember to add the new color for this bedroom.
DAVE......you asked why are we changing the color after 20 years when it still looks good? Keeping up with times. This is a Deep Pumpkin/Melon color and although it still looks fine to me.........it's just time to UPDATE to a lighter color. Just like we painted the dining room from "RED" a nice soft gray color and changed out the drapes. Just gotta keep up with times I guess.

Okay, I'm out of here for now. I need to have my coffee and then move along with sorting through the drawers from the long dresser that is full of pictures and things that only myself and maybe Art will ever give a care about. As I always say....gotta get DEATH READY over here sooner or later. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Be back later.

Lee: Have fun with Peachy.

O

I confess.. I am a paint saver!
BUT.. I always have the store run off a second sticker with all the paint details in it.
I stick this sticker on a large screw top glass jar. I pour paint into it..right to the top, so little or no air in it, plus I make note of what room was painted in that shade.
Then I store it either in the garage, or in our extra fridge.

It takes up less room.. by filling the smaller container you are cutting out the air. And my thinking is.. it is enough for toushups! if I need to cover more, then I might as well repaint lol

I do hope that Pat is OK.

Hopping out now.....

Um, if I’m ever a guest in your home Red Stripe remind me NOT to hit the fridge in the middle of the night for a quick drink of something!
Thank you for the update Kathie. Momma Bunny is all good to be where she is.

Yep, when we moved from Ayr to The Burg I had a load of paint cans with varying amounts to take to the municipal recycling center. You could drop off up to 10 cans at a time. I dropped off the first 10, went to Starbucks for a coffee, and went back with the rest. The guy laughed and said I should have just asked if I could drop them all at once. I didn’t want to do that because there were other people waiting to drop off paint too.
Still overcast here and feels like 38F!

Well isn’t just SAD that now in FLORIDA YOU CAN ‘carry a handgun without a permit”.
DeSantis just signed the bill.

This is all the things he PROMISED all his loyal politicians to vote him in as Speaker of the House. There are man more bills he will be signing. Really crappy that this is how they run things.

Red Stripe: I like the idea that you get duplicate labels for your paint selections. Smaller glass jars is a good idea. Just not sure about putting them in your refrigerator. To rach his own.

Lee: Art fills the almost empty paint cans with CAT LITTER to dry the paint before we are allowed to set the can out for trash pick-up. I do like Red Stripes glass small jar idea.

Still no word from Mama Bunny. Hopefully she is getting good care. I feel bad for Bert having to run around.

Do you see a pattern with Mama Bunny going into the hospital right before a “Holiday”! Too funny.

I have some not do good news to report.
I LOST MY “WEDDING RING” sometime in the last week or two. I noticed it missing Sunday. Totally bummed out.:eek:
My best guess is that it is in a Landfill. I’ll spare you how I came up with that theory.
I called the insurance company and they created a claim and today they called back and said I should receive a check in 7-8 days. (Less the $100 deductible) Thsnk goodness it was insured. I almost dropped the insurance on it this past August

Good afternoon!

Kathie, bummer about losing your wedding ring, glad that you at least had insurance on it, now watch it turn up 3 days after you cash the check! And I "wish" dumbstantis was only Speaker of the house, but unfortunately he's our governor and is he!! bent on running our state right into the ground!

Lee, how super nice of you to make a 2nd trip to the dump rather than hold up the line of people waiting. I've taken yard trash to the dump before & sat there waiting while some old guy swept out every last leaf from the back of his truck. Like Dude, they're gonna blow out while your driving, it's not littering, it's nature!

Pat, sure hope you are feeling better! To bad Celebration hospital doesn't have a loyalty program like the hotels do, you know stay 2 nights, get a night free or even better a Happy Hour like Drury.

Dave, it's always nice to have a day with nothing on the to-do list, never seems to happen around my house but it's something to strive for! Best not be bragging to much about your mild winter, Mother Nature may not be done with ya'all just yet!

Bill, good to hear that Jet Blue offered some compensation for all the delays on your trip home.

Yes, the "guys" Tom & Grant are still around, sadly the poolie group has kind of fallen apart as everyone has a lot of family, medical & other priorities that get in the way of our hanging out like we used to.
Miss Reba's flower bed is all done, it was only planting one Hydrangea bush, a little weeding & some fresh mulch. I did buy her a small garden flag stand at Dollar tree over the weekend & a couple small flags for it, just to add a little more color to her garden. I will drop it off tonite on my way to the clubhouse. Tonite is movie night & the movie is Wonder, with Julia Roberts & Owen Wilson. I had seen the previews before & it looks like it will be good. I made a batch of Blondies to take with me to go along with our popcorn.
One of the other ladies on the board & I are going to be helping out one of our residents by painting his garage door in a week or 2. He had a new door installed & it's bright white, instead of the tan color it's supposed to be. This was done several months ago & he's been told several times it needed to be painted & he was always going to do it as soon as he could. It finally came to the point we were going to have to send him a violation letter, so the secretary called me & asked if I'd help her paint it if he'd agree to buy the paint, so I said sure. He is supposed to have the paint next week. We really do try to avoid sending violation letters if there is a way to work things out. And it's a single car garage door, won't take us long at all to paint it.
And that is just about all the happenings from Belleview!

Karen I want to move to BELLEVIEW..... what a nice gesture on your part and the secretary's part to paint the guys garage door. Kudo's to you both.
Sounds like Miss Reba's garden is going be looking spiffy after your work. Congrats on a job well done and appreciated too.

It's 49F here and the sun WANTS to come out every so often. Just can't make up it's mind.

Okay, I was just passing by here to do a funds transfer so I can pay some bills on line.

Later gang.

We are in Tampa. Stopped at Burger king for lunch. Where we stop is about half way. Traffic was pretty heavy with a lot of trucks but made good time, then because of an accident it took 30 minutes to go about 3 1/2 miles on I 75, once we were just outside of Tampa.

Last evening we got a bit of rain but not really enough to do much of anything.

All have a great day.

I’m accepting funds transfers if you’d like to send one Kathie. With all your baking I hope the wedding ring didn’t end up in a nut roll! If it did somebody’s gonna order a bunch next year.

A single garage door should go pretty quickly Karen. I hope the fella gets GOOD paint with the primer already mixed in! Thanks for the update on Tom and Grant! Belleview has been a great move for you. Your Hospital loyalty plan cracked me up to the point that Lu-Ann wondered what I was giggling about.
A traffic delay like that usually happens to me when I have to pee so bad I can taste it Nancy!
Be good gang.

Lee, luckily the HOA requires a specific brand of paint as well as color, so yep, it will be the good kind, Behr, if it isn't he will get sent back to the store to buy the right one, lol

Boy does that suck, you losing your wedding ring, K2. And I for one DO want to know what your theory is to make you think it's in a landfill. Hint, Hint. Excellent that you had insurance on it.

KC; You are definitely a good neighbor and a credit to your community. You should be very proud of yourself, like we are. I've never heard of requiring a specific brand name of paint in a Home Owners Associations rules. Happy that you enjoyed the movie. Oh yea....What are "Blondies"?

Yes Lee, us guys sure do like to keep cans of even small amounts of leftover paint. At least I mark them and date them and where it was used.

Good thinking ,"Red Stripe", on putting leftover paint in small glass jars to cut down on the percentage of air in a container.

Today's plan is to go grocery shopping. Kathi passed the store yesterday and noticed that its' parking lot was pretty full, on the lead up to Easter.

WOW DAVE: 5:21 A.M. post from you. I was just turning over at that time! Bless you! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: Just another reason as much as I REALLY WANT a puppy like MANNY I just WON'T DO IT. Having to get up and open a door early in the morning and socialize and make some breakfast for a darling puppy just won't be happening over here. Not to mention the pup would most likely out-live me at this point in my life!:eek::emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Karen:
Nice to know the movie at the club was good. I wrote it down and will look it up. I'm almost thinking we saw it already, but maybe not. These days with ALL the RERUNS on TV programs I can use all the suggestions you have for searching out a good movie to watch.
Maybe it's time to call and check-up on the Tom & Grant. Just seems like they should have stopped by with one of their homemade coffee cakes by now.

STILL NO MORE INFO ON Mama Bunny! I know her fingers are okay, because she posts some cartoons on Facebook. I'm thinking they'll SPRING HER OUT OF THERE because it's almost the weekend and EASTER coming up. Knowing her if she does get home today or tomorrow she'll be COOKING right away for her MOOCHERS! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme: Ha ha.

Art got up at 8:00 and started TAPING the bedroom for painting. I offered to do the BLUE TAPING and he just kind of in so many words said "he was fussy about making sure the tape was just "so" and said he'd take care of it. DUH........it's not ROCKET SCIENCE Artie! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

I'm off to get some simulant ---- COFFEE! We're suppose to be getting a warm up starting later today. it's 33F right now so it better hurry up if it's coming.

ENJOY YOUR GOOD FRIDAY Wrabbits. Remember this is our time to hop around and strut our stuff since we're Bunnies!! Oh by the way, it would be nice if we all cleaned our CUBBIES UP for the holiday! ;)

Later gang.

Negc: Are you getting some bad weather and wind over your way or are the weather guys reporting things wrong? Take care.

Good morning.
It’s tough wrangling two pups whose schedules are different. Ava is an “up and at ‘em“ pup. Let me out, walk me, feed me and walk me again. If Peachy had her way she’d still be in bed. She wants her walk and then her food. Fortunately we found the compromise.
You’ve never had a blondie Dave? Bloodies are very much part of the brownie family. Except they get their flavour from vanilla and brown sugar instead of chocolate. I’m surprised that the grocery store is open on Good Friday!
Well Kathie, I have to admit to being kind of “anal” when it comes to taping and / or painting. I know how I like to work through things. Yep, the blue tape is better than the green tape. It leaves sharper edges and I find it doesn’t “bleed“ as much.

DUH........it's not ROCKET SCIENCE Artie! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
Not to mention the pup would most likely out-live me at this point in my life!:eek::emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
Keep making cracks like that about Art and I can see the second one coming true even without a puppy!
Gonna give a quick tidy. Like getting the “nose art” off the glass. Windows and table tops alike. We forgot how much Greyhounds like to “draw” on glass. “P”’s Mom and Dad will likely be here mid afternoon.
Everyone have a wonderful Good Friday.

Good morning.

Wednesday at PT I was on the arm bike for 10 minutes and have had a very hard time lifting my right arm since so I think that next week when I go I will tell them I will do a total of 6 minutes but not 10 as Monday I did 6 and my arm was not bad.

Not sure what today will bring.

All have a great day.

"Bloodies"? What the he77 are "Bloodies"? As The Brits would say, "bloody hell". I know I meant BLONDIES. Spell check clearly had other ideas.
Good call to cut back a tad on the arm physio Nancy. Equally good to keep at it!
A bright, sunny 44F. Hard to beat that forecast on Easter Weekend. We could hit 70F by mid week.

I guess Dave and I belong to the "If it ain't broke or if it still looks good, why change it" school but I understand why sometimes change is good.
Don't understand why when I got out of bed and dressed this morning and then laid back down for a minute or two, I felt more comfortable than I had all night. Did get back up and have a few things to do before heading out to get my ears lowered.
Sun was still hiding when we got up but once it makes an appearance, the temps are supposed to rise into the 70's.
Rita did some grocery shopping yesterday and as we unloaded the car I wondered if the evening news would be reporting that some unidentified female had cleared the shelves of everything in the local supermarket.
Red Sox are off to a dismal start so our hopes are going to remain with the Celtics and Bruins to make the next few months worth watching sports. Masters weekend begins and I am reminded of the two years I was at Ft. Gordon in Augusta, Georgia and was able to be among the crowd of fans who packed the course as members of "Arnie's Army".
Hope we get some good news from Kissimmee soon and Pat is out of the hospital and back home.

I wrote the previous post sometime yesterday but apparently failed to hit the Post reply button. Getting forgetful in my dotage, I guess. Did get my haircut yesterday and I look and feel a bit more civilized now. Put together the info for our tax returns and Rita has taken them to our daughter to determine what the damages will be. Hopefully we will be getting a little bit back or at least shouldn't owe a lot.
Not sure what the weather folks out your way have been reporting but in our part of MA, we have been spared anything but some light overnight showers since we got home, K2.

Next week should be as good, or perhaps better.
Saw our first robins yesterday, so I think we can safely say that Spring has sprung.
