We bought
2 gallons of paint. Before the discount is was $71.00 for ONE GALLON. That's like UNBELIEVABLE. Even if I didn't like this color after it goes on the walls, IT'S TOO BAD! o_O

At our hotel in Orlando and have checked In for tomorrow afternoon's flight. Had a good breakfast at First Watch in Vero, before we packed up and left the house to head for Orlando. Hard to believe we have actually been here for three months with almost perfect weather but it will feel good (though perhaps a bit too chilly) to be home.
Good luck with your surgery tomorrow, Pat. Hope it is as successful as the previous one was.
Hope that you really end up liking the color of your new paint once it is on the wall, K2. If not, hope that it is a color that can be successfully covered with another hue that is to your liking.

Bill, safe travels home, hopefully there won't be any snow flurries in the near future after you get home, that would just be downright cruel of Mother Nature!

Pat, hope todays surgery went as smooth as the last one with the same good results!

kathie, the price of good paint is just outrageous, and even "cheap" paint from Walmart isn't cheap anymore. Hope you like the color! I've been thinking about having some rooms painted here but I think I'll give it a couple more years.

Lee, you busy working on the basement or entertaining visitors? Not like you to miss a morning check in. Hope all is well!

Scooter did ok at the Vet's yesterday, was able to talk with the vet in person & she said she is beginning to question the accuracy of the Bp readings. She said if they really were that high 24/7 that we should be seeing signs of kidney & vision problems & she just isn't seeing anything. So we've decided to keep her on her current meds but cut the Bp testing to once every 2-3 months. If I notice any changes in her behavior I will of course let the vet know. I think Scooter & I will BOTH be happy not to make that trip every 2 weeks.

The next best thing to lil t getting indicted was our gov. lil d getting out maneuvered by Disney. He thought his "board" and him were going to be able to run Disney but found out all they can control is the roads, fire dept & other basic services in the former Reedy creek district. And Disney made their move right under their noses at a Public meeting

Hello.
Hoping all went well for you today Pat.

Fingers crossed that Scooter is “over the hump” and will continue to improve Karen. Lu-Ann and I figured WDW had something up their sleeves. They seemed to take DumbSantis’ ruling way to calm at the time.
Hopefully your 3:30 appointment went better than the lab visit Nancy.
Yep Kathie, it’s a good thing wine is as inexpensive as it is. It helps take the sting out of the cost of paint. It was just plain unpleasant on our side of the river with rain all day. It’s supposed to continue through the night into tomorrow.
Safe flight home Bill. To echo the others it’s hard to believe three months have passed!
Dave, I reckon every other state and jurisdiction that is investigating the former first buffoon should serve him with charges and indictments at the same time. If he’s on the ropes keep swingin’ until he goes down. For good.
I think I have everything I need to finish boxing in the windows, trimming said boxes, and getting the baseboards down. Trim is painter. Tomorrow I’ll get the base painted. I need Dave to help me figure out what he had in mind to make the secret door look like a built in. If I can get these stupid strained neck muscles to stop aching I can go full whack and get things done.
You good folks all be well.

Safe travels Bill. Hope the nasty weather in many places doesn't screw up your flights.

Hoping to hear that your Surgery went well, BB. What exactly was done to your legs?

Three cheers to Disney for sticking it to your Governor, KC. He didn't see that one coming. Pleased to hear that Scooter is doing better.

Never do chicken wings in your upstairs oven, K2.

I agree that the cost of paint has gotten ridiculous.

Lee; Mother nature may just be telling you to slow it down a bit by giving you those strained neck muscles. Going "full whack" is a speed of our younger years.

Yesterday was the last Friday the nearby Catholic Church is selling fish. So I made sure I got some.

This morning we're making a quick stop at Wally world to pick up 8 prescriptions. 2 for Kathi, 6 for me. That bundle will be just under 500 bucks.

Then it's off to the smaller grocery store. If for no other reason, I'm about out of vodka.

April Month GIF by Titounis

HAPPY APRIL WRABBITS!

BB: Hope you’re doing alright today! How did things go?

KAREN: Glad that Scooter gained a little weight. Nice you both get a break with the blood pressure checks!
How did the gardening go at Miss Reba’s?

DAVE: I’d like to order some of “Dave’s Medicine”. I’m sure it works better than conventional prescriptions. :D

Lee: Time to go for a few massages for that tight neck! You have to be GOOD TO YOURSELF at times! Just do it! Hope you feel better soon.

BILL: Safe travels home! Smart move staying at the airport. Hope your flight is a smooth one.

Sunny this morning big time, but slowly getting cloudy. Suppose to start raining a minute.
I know it’s going to rain because Art passed on going BIKING this morning. And my old bones are telling me rain is on its way!

Okay WRABBITS time to get moving around here. Art wanted to start taping the spare bedroom for painting, but I said not until next Wednesday. I have company coming Tuesday and just don’t want the house turned upside down. He looked at me like “REALLY”!

Later gang.

Good Saturday morning, everyone and Happy April Fool's Day! Another beautiful day here. Too bad Bill & Rita have to leave it.

Karen - Glad to hear Scooter isn't going to have to have her BP checked so often. Good planning on the vet's part.

Kathie - Ouch! on the cost of paint. We really need to do some painting around here, but I dread Bert's reaction to the cost. He hasn't been anywhere near a paint department in a few years, so it will be total sticker shock to him one of these days.

Dave - Ouch! to you too on the cost of those prescriptions. Bert spent about $350. for 4 prescriptions for me the other day, but thankfully, it's 3 months worth. I hope that's the same for you. The surgery was to put 1 or 2 stents in my left leg. More about that in a little bit.

Lee - Take care of that neck. I agree that you probably need a good massage or a trip to the chiropractor for a manipulation.

Bill - Have a safe flight home and I'll be looking forward to hearing you're safely home later today.

Time now, boys and girls, to hear about my adventure yesterday. Got to the office early and was taken into the OR early also. Great start, right? Once the doctor started the procedure to insert a couple of stents into my leg I could hear him talking with the tech about not being able to get through one area. Surgery was over very quickly, which made me very happy.
Got into the recovery room and the doctor explained to Bert & I that he was unable to complete the procedure in his officer OR and that I will need to be hospitalized to complete the procedure. He'll use the same method he did the first time and I will have to stay overnight before being released. Doesn't make me happy, but it is what it is.
At this point things got really really weird. My BP decided to tank. It dropped down to 70 over 37! Man did that get the action started. At that point I had 5 people in recovery helping. Poor Bert didn't have a clue what was going on. They started pumping an IV into me using the mail body vain in my groin. Doctor was actually squeezing the IV container to make the fluids run faster while at the same time nurse was giving me water to drink. Really scared the crap out of me. Instead of an hour and a half in recovery, I was there for 2 and a half hours! During that time I was given 2 1/2 L of fluids! Slowly but surely my BP returned to normal. They were checking it every 5 minutes for a while. Boy, was I ever glad to go home!!
I spent yesterday afternoon and evening stretched out on my lounge chair. Bert followed me each time I moved to make sure I didn't get dizzy and fall.
Today I'm better, but it really hurts where the doctor tried to do the procedure and on the other side where they put the IV in. Time for some Aleve or a drink of Dave's "medicine".

We're supposed to be going to the Bellalago Spring Carnival & Easter egg hunt today, but I might just take a pass. Not really in the mood to listen to a DJ and have all those kids running all over.

Time for a cup of coffee and go back to the lounge chair. I earned another day of relaxation. Have a wonderful day, everyone, and I hope no one pulls an April Fool's joke on you!!:jester:

YIKES PAT..... not a very nice OR-OFFICE visit for that leg vein stent. I'd be asking to go into the hospital next time. I think you're close to or not already a "high risk" patient. But that's just my opinion. Glad you passed on the Bellalago Event. You need to let that leg vein take a long break and not get any blood clots. REST young lady! ;) :emoticon 0100 smile:

If you need painting done Pat I would suggest you have some SMELLING SALTS ready for BERT when he see's the prices. Like Karen said: Even the cheapest paint is OVER PRICED these days.

We had beautiful SUNSHINE until about 10:20 a.m. Then it got gloomy and then it
RAINED until about 3:30 pm.

April Showers....Bring MAY FLOWERS. Yeah right!

I defrosted a nice whole chicken and it's in the oven for our dinner.

Did a tad bit of crocheting early and now I'm just going to go and peel some potatoes.

BORING DAY!

You all have a nice PALM SUNDAY. ( Us Serbs are a week later than you this year)

Later gang.

Good evening. Well did not get to see any practice or qualifying as they had rain. But the one race in Va. today was good. The truck race just finished with a surprise winner. Fixed a salad for dinner and it was good.

Have spent most of the day putting heat on my neck as it has been hurting a lot. Did very few of the exercises.

All have a good night.

Good morning Bunnies!

I shouldn't watch the news so much. In the last couple of days over 60 tornadoes have hit the Midwest and south, with dozens of people killed, hundreds of homes destroyed, and thousands of people's lives changed forever.

I have no doubt that Mother Nature is pissed with mankind. We moved into her house, and over the years have done a royal job of messing it all up.

Safe and sound and home, Bill?

Thanks for all the detail about your surgery, BB. You could have just said, "My surgery didn't go right, so they're going to try it again at the hospital". But the way you explained it gave us a much greater understanding. As Paul-Harvey would say, we now know "the rest of the story".

Enjoy your "boring" days, K2. Those are the days I look forward to. I don't want a lot of drama in my life.

Speaking of which; I got my "medicine" yesterday at the grocery store.

And Kathi got another bag of those delicious lemon mini doughnuts. Funny.......I don't see the bag for them anywhere this morning.

Good afternoon, gang!

Bill - That was awful that you had to wait so long for your flight home yesterday. You both had to have been exhausted waiting at the airport that long. What time did you finally get home?

Dave - So glad you got your "meds" yesterday to help you through your boring day! Those pictures from the areas where the tornados struck as so heartbreaking. We've seen the results of tornados when we lived in Ocala. Absolutely horrifying to see in person.

Lee - How's that basement project coming along? Did you get the trim up? You should pretty well be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel for that project. What comes next?

Feeling better today than yesterday. I will just be so happy to take the dressings off the spots doctor worked on. That will come tomorrow or Tuesday. Then the rest of the hurting should go away.

Not much going on today here. Just more relaxing. I need to get back to the book I'm reading. Might just take the book and something to drink and go out on the lanai for a while. It's overcast, but still 85 out there with hardly any wind for a change.

Enjoy the rest of your day no matter what you're doing.

Plane arrived back in Boston shortly after 3am (yes Lee there is such a time and actually a few people up and moving about) and was home and in bed by 4:30. Slept in and finally got out of bed at noon, feeling much more rested. Flight was fine and I watched "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" think that is the complete and correct movie. Pretty wild and I thought that the actor and actress who got Academy Awards for their performances well deserved their awards and that Jamie Lee Curtis was terrific. Crazy wild movie which I might have enjoyed even more if I had been less tired and sleepy watching it.
Received an email from Jet Blue apologizing for the delays and giving us some sort of flight credit (not quite sure what that turns out to be). Flight attendants were very good and one of them even went and got Rita and me some pastry and a drink while we were waiting at the gate and checked on us once we were on the plane. I was surprised at how well all the passengers handled all the delays despite receiving minimal information about the continual delays and the reasons for them. When our plane eventually arrived in Orlando, they needed to get new pilots and it took about two hours for them to arrive and once they did arrive, there was still another two hour wait until the plan was declared ready to accept passengers. Departure time when we arrived at the airport had already been changed from 4:40 pm to 7:30, then to 9:03, 10:45, 11:30 and eventually we boarded at about midnight and took off at about 12:30. While weather along the East coast was the primary cause for the initial delays, Jet Blue did little to keep passengers informed aside from posting new departure times on the screen at the gate. Will have to seriously reconsider our flight options for any future travel plans.
I suspect that tonight will be an early one despite the fact that we slept well and enjoyed being back in our own bed for the first time in three months. Very grateful to Lisa for picking us up at the airport as such an ungodly hour and taking us home to a warm house and making sure that we would have something in the house for this morning's(?) breakfast.
Hope that you take some time to rest and recuperate from your surgery Pat and that it was as successful as it was previously.

Guess I'll be rooting for UConn, Dave since FAU lost yesterday and I can't bring myself to root for any Miami team.

BiLL/RITA.... so good to know you two made it home. Lordy I would have gone out of my mind sitting around in a airport that long. Bless you for your patience.
I watched that movie "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" ! I wasn't as impressed as most folks have been.

We got to see Manny today and went to a new Mexican restaurant with the kids. It was by far EXCELLENT! And the Margarita's were perfect. Came home and fell asleep on the couch! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Pat: I'm glad you're doing well today. Hope the leg isn't causing you too much discomfort.

I'm off to catch the last of the 10 pm news.

Welcome to what I call, "Maddow Monday". Rachel Maddow used to have a nightly news review 5 nights a week, but now she only has her show on MSNBC at 9 PM on Mondays. (Quite a contract she negotiated.)

Glad to see you FINALLY made it home, Bill. Extending your stay in the south is not meant to be at airports. I've always wondered if that highly rated "Everything, Everywhere...." movie was any good.

Happy to hear that you're feeling better, BB. When is the next shot at the hospital for your leg scheduled?

Just LOVED your "Stormy" weather forecast. K2. After Tuesday when the Buffoon shows up to meet the LAW, it's going to get interesting. Although it'll be many, many, months before the actual trial starts. But if the judge approves cameras in the courtroom it could be a new high viewership over the O.J. Simpson trial.

One thing I just can't do is sleep on a couch. Flat on a bed, or it just results in a few seconds of nodding off.

We had an absolutely DElightful spring day yesterday, for the Midwest at this part of April. Nothing but sunshine and 50 degrees. Plus NO winds. And by Thursday it should hit 70.......Before the inevitable temperature drop.

Y'all have a calm Monday with something tasty to eat. Even if it's just a Coney Dog.

Good morning.
I wonder if there will be a resurgence in the old Etta James tune “Stormy Weather”? Great forecast Kathie!
That was some epic adventure getting home Bill. Glad you both made it safe and sound.
All the trim is painted Pat. Doug was waiting for his son Andrew to clean his stuff out of Doug’s garage so he can get at his tools. He was hoping that would happen this past weekend. But yes, the end is in site…
Coney Dog. Is that a breakfast hint Dave?
Hi to Karen and Nancy.

Quick good morning, yesterday was Barb's birthday & she wanted to have a pool party & sleep over, so we did. Had pizza at the clubhouse for lunch & then I dangled my feet in the water for a while. I'm sorry, but even with the sun beating down 80 degree water is just to cold for me to enjoy the pool. Fixed waffles, bacon & fruit salad for breakfast & everyone left about 30 mins. ago. Barb wasn't a very happy birthday girl because no one wanted to go to the pool this morning, it's cool & overcast. Oh well, nothing I can do to control the weather. Catch up with you all later!
