Appt went very well. Dr was very thorough with explaining things about Thyroid and Para Thyroid. They have NOTHING to do with each other. Didn't rush any conversations at all.
I was amazed that my Blood Pressure was as low as it was since I was in a Dr's office. Yippee!

Changed the current Synthroid meds to a new BRAND name that is covered in our insurance plan and has a $5 co-pay and we'll see if it causes me any trouble.
Get blood levels checked in 2 months. And we go from there.

Well now haven’t you been a busy bunch of bunnies. Actually, carrots come in bunches. Bunnies come in a colony, herd or my favourite, a fluffle.
Karen, you always do such nice work. Well done. Dave may want the colouring books. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
I hope you enjoy your day and the food at Sea World Pat.
It sounds like you had a good visit with the doctor Kathie. If only the people dealing with your insurance were as helpful and knowledgeable.
A good trip to the doc for you too Nancy.
We have breakfast at The Poly tomorrow at 7:40 am. A great way to start our final day in the beautiful state of Florida.

I have had to pull one of the bars from the brace. After getting home I adjusted the tightness and while that helped I still had a numbing feeling and that has helped. I took the one from the palm side and of course do not have it so tight.

Tomorrow I am getting a haircut and while I know it will hurt I do want her to shampoo first. Then right after that I go next door for PT.

All have a good night.

Hope that you make the most out of your last full day in Paradise, Lee and LuAnn. Safe travels as you head towards the Frozen Tundra that is called home.
I don't know if I've ever
actually seen the Weinermobile in person, but before we headed here one of the TV stations back home had a feature about the Oscar Mayer company recruiting college students to become drivers of the Weinermobile. I'm not much of a bologna fan though when I was in my teens, the mother of one of my friends used to make us fried bologna sandwiches and I thought that they were great. Not sure that bologna was ever in my mother's Frigidaire.
Watched the second episode of True Lies last night, KC, and it was just about as dumb as the first one (perhaps dumber), so I probably won't add it to my "must watch list". Unfortunately, that list is getting shorter and shorter.
Our bimonthly visit by the pest control person was today but he has come, done his job and left.

Only 75 degrees here right now. Haven't been out but somehow I suspect that at least some of the locals have broken out their flannels and long pants and caps with ear flaps, while us tourists frolic in the unheated pool.

Sorry Lee; I woke up yesterday morning totally believing that it was Friday. Hope it didn't cause you to check your watch or phone to make sure it was Thursday.

You made that desk look GREAT, KC. Hope you didn't stretch or twist anything while weeding and trimming around your patio.

No thanks K2, I'll stay my age and in retirement rather than go back my "working days" when I had better health. Glad your doctor's appointment went well.

Did you get any "strange" food while you were at Sea World, BB? It's always fun to try something you've never had before. I'm not embarrassed to order something new, and then have to ask, "how do you eat it?".

After 2 chilly but sunny days, another cold front is moving through our area today. So it's going to be either rain or snow. Looks like more snow for K2 and more rain for us.

Hopefully we'll get our grocery shopping done this morning before it hits.

Good morning. This afternoon get a haircut then PT.

Took the wrist brace off when I got up. It did feel weird wearing it to bed but no problem. I will put it back on just before going for the haircut.

Have a great day.

Good morning, everyone! A wee bit chilly here this morning, but it will warm into the mid 80s later before the chance of some much needed rain later this evening.

Lee - In case I miss you later, have a good and safe trip home. It was great to once again enjoy our meeting at True Blue Winery and then again our dinner the other night. You're welcome to come back to Florida at any time!

Dave - We did have one unusual thing to eat at Sea World. It was Bingsu Salted Caramel ice cream at the Asian Market. It consisted of vanilla ice cream, caramel popcorn and caramel sauce. It's a little hard to get into as the entire top is covered with caramel popcorn, but once you get it started, it's really quite good. Earlier we had stopped at the New England Market. Bert had a lobster roll and I had fish and chips. Both dishes were quite good and quite large.
We only stayed about 2 1/2 hours, as my allergies were kicking in with all the plants and flowers in bloom. Plus it got too warm. That was long enough for us to be there.

Karen - Great job on the desk. It looks great. I like Kathie's suggestion of getting a sheet of plexiglass to protect the top. I hope you didn't pick too many weeds.

Kathie - Looks like you're in for a bit more winter weather. I saw on the news here last night that by Tuesday or Wednesday night temps overnight will be dropping into the 30s & 40s with a high during the day in the 60s. Quite a difference from the record breaking 90s last week.

Off this morning to see my cardiologist. Unfortunately, it's at the hospital that I dislike. It's very inconvenient to get to where his office is, but it was the only appointment I could get unless I wanted to wait until the end of May!

Aside from that there's not much on the agenda today. Still haven't decided what will be on the menu tonight, but it will involve shrimp. That much I'm pretty sure of.

Time to get read to head out of here, so have a great day, gang@

Good morning, loving this little bit of cooler weather!

Pat, hope the Dr. visit goes well today! That ice cream sounds good, but I bet it is a pain to get started on it.

Dave, no problems with the weeds, I don't pull them I spray them with weed killer. The back patio is all large cement blocks & the weeds grow up between the cracks, it's a constant battle to keep them under control.

Kathie, always nice to get a Dr. who will actually take the time to explain things to you & listen to your questions & concerns. Not very many of those around these days!

Lee, enjoy that last trip to disney this morning!

Home inspector was here this morning, I am changing insurance companies & they require a new 4 point inspection, Roof, Hvac, Plumbing & Electrical. Fingers crossed nothing major shows up that will need to be fixed. The last time I had it done 2 yrs ago I had to have a plumber run a pipe from the expansion valve on the water heater down to the floor. I'm kind of expecting to be told to put new valves for the washing machine hook up as one of them is very corroded.
Nothing much else going on today, supposed to be meeting a lady this afternoon who is buying a small storage rack I am selling, then need to pick up a prescription at Publix. Didn't get the hibiscus cut back yesterday so will probably tackle that in the morning when it's cooler. Have a good one gang!

Another SNOW DAY! :emoticon 0101 sadsmile:

Well, it didn't start to snow as early as expected. But it's still coming down. Lightly right now. At other times heavier. It is what it is. I did open the back deck doorwall door and it's a WET GOOD PACKING SNOW. Could make a fantastic Snowman if I was younger! Ha Ha.
Ed has already been around and cleared the driveway and sidewalk. Bless him, finally earning the money he got up front. :emoticon 0115 inlove:

This morning I made a pile of Crepes for our breakfast. Yum.
Tonight if the roads allow it, I'm planning on picking up 2 carry-out Fish dinners from another one of our local Catholic churches. Love their drive-thru pick-up!

BB: Hope you have a good visit with your Cardio doctor. Always something these days.

Karen: Nice you're getting some of your "stuff" sold. I have had some pictures from our dining room up on Facebook Market-place for at least 6 months and finally one gal wants the big floral picture. We're suppose to set up a meet and exchange date for next Wednesday. She wanted a lower price and I stuck to my guns and said it was worth the price listed. She took it! :clap002: I need to list more stuff, but it's a pain having to answer questions and then set up a pick up. I do one item at a time to avoid confusion.

LEE / Lu-ANN: You should be doing cleaning and packing etc, etc right about now. HATE that feeling of having to leave and get on the road. You had a very good visit to the Belle's home state and did a lot of neat things this year. Thanks for taking us along.

SAFE TRAVELS HOME. It's still snowing here. Hopefully, it will be melted by the time you get up your way. Just be safe and take it slow. No hurry. REALITY AWAITS YOU WHEN YOU GET HOME! Hate that feeling.

Negc: Thanks for the review on the show. I won't even bother looking it up. When do you and Rita leave for home? End of April I'm thinking?? Or is it end of March??

DAVE:
Don't forget to go and get your FISH from your local FISH FRY. I think you said you'll be ordering an extra piece of fish this week. Enjoy.

Nancy: Hope your haircut is what you wanted. I've never heard of a place up here that doesn't WASH your HAIR before cutting it. Glad you're opting for the wash!

Took the time to make a appointment for ART to get a hearing test and new hearing aids. The last time was 6 years ago. YUP.... I think it's time. The exam and tests are free with our insurance and the Mid-grade hearing aids are free. I know we opted for a higher grade last time. We'll see what improvements have been made. The EAR MOLD kind might be something to try this time since the MOLDing of the ear is free with the insurance. You get 60 days to see if you like anything you get and can change it to something else at that time. Always SOMETHING around here. I can say one thing.... the man needs NEW AIDS. He can't hear me when I'm sitting across from him at the kitchen table. Enough is enough of that.

Good Morning Friday GIF

Trip to the cardiologist was a piece of cake! Appointment was actually 11:15, but we got right in when we arrived. We were back in the car by 11:35! Everything looks good and I don't have to see him again for 4 months. I do have to make an appointment to get some blood work done for him to check my potassium again.

Karen - I hope that home inspector doesn't have you any surprises in the form of having to get things fixed or changed.

Kathie - You can keep that snow up your way. I always have considered snow pretty to watch coming dowm, but not so nice after a few days when it gets dirty. Your talking about fish fries at local Catholic churches must be a midwest thing. We never had them near us in NJ nor at any churches in this area. Instead we'll have fried shrimp sandwiches tonight.

Might head out to the lanai to clean up some of the herbs growing in the planter. Some of the oregano is dying off and the flatleaf parsley is growing wild. I'm sure Bert will be out there too checking and fiddling with his pineapple plants. They have 7 little pineapples growing on them. Now he just has to keep the raccoons away from them.

My copy of the inspectors report said everything was in satisfactory condition "but" the insurance underwriter could still require some things to be replaced, I probably won't hear from the insurance company until sometime next week. As long as it isn't anything crazy expensive I will still come out ok, the new insurance will be costing me half of what State Farm was going to charge, just crazy!

BB: Congrats on a good Dr's report.
I was told by my Endourologist to drink MORE WATER. I really do need to do that. I preach it enough to everyone else! :emoticon 0140 rofl:

Karen: Good for you looking into getting lower insurance rates. I need to bite the bullet and do that one of these days.

Off to watch the big Michigan State Univ Basketball game. Hope they can pull off a WIN and move on.

I just got through filling out 5 forms online for Art's new hearing doctors office. Love when you can fill them out online. Easy and done with.

Later gang.

LEE / Lu-ANN: You guys got everything in order by now. Go out and get a really good dinner and some drinks and then go to bed early. SAFE TRAVELS tomorrow! Keep in touch along the way home.:emoticon 0115 inlove:

Good evening friends. That’s Friday evening Dave.
Every year it gets harder to pack up for home after eight weeks. Once again we’re just not ready to go and a big part of that was seeing Karen, Pat and Bert, Bill and Rita and enjoying some good times together.
Our out of country insurance kinda dictates that we come home because we’re covered for 60 days at a time without paying a premium. We’re looking in to extending that for next year when we get home.
Yes Kathie, we tidied, packed as best we could and went to Bahama Breeze for dinner. Lu-Ann isn’t comfortable with me packing The Subie so that can wait until tomorrow morning. It’s different if your car is in a garage.
It sounds like be it a doctor or home inspector Pat and Karen got good reports. See, it pays to study. :emoticon 0100 smile:
We have to bring a couple of things back out like the coffee table we tucked into another room so Ava had an open area to play. It’s supposed to rain for 45 minutes so our (Lu-Ann and I) evening walk likely will not happen.
Tomorrow evening we’ll be in Atlanta where I will file my report “from the road”.
You all take care.
For the last time for me for this year, G’nite from Kissimmee.

Good evening. Well the haircut is just what I needed. I did have her shampoo, it felt good, she put a molded cushion under my neck so it did not hurt being at the bowl. The is was next door for PT and while I was early they were able to take me in. Different person this time and she had me do two of the exercises from before but do them while laying down, then a couple in a chair and one i asked if I could do it back at the bench and it was much easier.

After reading Lee's 'last post from Kissimmee' I felt extra sad for them leaving.
Lee: We'll have the HUTCH all cleaned up for you when you get back home. Fresh pillows and no dust bunnies under the bed.
BE SAFE FOLKS. :bigwave: Till next year!

Got that Subaru loaded yet, Lee? Wishing the 3 Musketeers a safe and enjoyable trip north. Looking forward to tonight's, "On The Road with Dudley Do-Right".

That Bingsu Salted Caramel sounds interesting, BB. Oddly enough, another ice cream flavor was mentioned on the news yesterday. And will be available at WalMart soon. Get this.......Ranch flavored ice cream. All I can say is YUCK!

And also on the news, fellow snifflers; Allergy season has lasted longer this year than it has since 1970.

If yesterday's inspection passed, according to the inspector, you can be pretty well assured nothing big will be requested by the insurance company's inspector, KC. I once had a nit-picker inspector make me ground the water heater.

Did you get your 2 fish dinners last night, K2? And if so, did you choose the fried or baked fish? I'll eat either, but if given the choice I'll always pick baked. And yes, I did get my 3 servings of fish, with no sides. Only a light rain here yesterday.

The only thing on our agenda today, is a quick stop at Pet Smart to get a bag of food for Jack. No other place in town carries the brand he's used to.

Oh, speaking of "a bag".......At the grocery store yesterday Kathi grabbed a bag of lemon mini donuts. That bag has mysteriously disappeared.
