Your information about DipSantis wanting to turn FL into a recreation of the Wild West is indeed frightening Pat. Honestly, it gives many of us from “civilized” states and countries pause for thought when it comes to visiting. Which usually involves spending money and supporting the local economy. I hope that the tech guy understands why your use of the breathing machine is a little less this period.
Kathie, some generic drugs are OK. But we’ve seen with some of Lu-Ann’s PD meds the real deal vs the knock off makes a difference. Darned good thing you found that account. Now if you could recall where you buried all those coffee cans full of money in your yard! Glad your downspout was a fairly easy fix. We head out Saturday morning. We head to Atlanta Airport Drury. Sunday we go to Louisville, KY and home on Monday. A week from today (next Tuesday) Subie goes in at 8:00 for her first schedule service.
Bill, that beautiful looking piece of veal parmigiana looked bigger than a small cabin on some cruise ships!
Now, about the milk cartons Dave…Were they individual pics or the group one? Do we get royalties if they use our pictures to sell milk?
Yes Karen, after 8 weeks in FL pool water at 80F may even be a little cool for this guy! How were your leftovers?
Time to see what may be in the fridge that needs using before Friday evening. On Friday we’ll be busy doing laundry, cleaning and packing for our Saturday morning departure.
See ya all in the mornin’.

Lee: Thanks for the run down of where you'll be. I WROTE IT DOWN! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
I like to follow the weather patterns as you two travel homeward. Darn this vacation sure was packed with TONS of fun things to do and see. And visitors from home made it even better. But it's just not long enough.
ENJOY WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY and don't worry about anything except Ava getting in her last few walks. And don't over-due it on Fridays clean-up. I know you guys are like most of us and leave the place cleaner than when you checked in.

I made a really great dinner and cleaned up the kitchen and now am listening to the Mayor of Detroit's State of City address. He's doing a great job so far. If everything happens that he's been telling folks tonight the TAXES will more than double in the City of Detroit. It's making a great come back. Feel sorry for the little guy that will get caught up in the middle of this transition.

Okay..... out of here for sure. Hope everyone gets a good night's sleep. Nite all.

FYI: My thigh is doing really good. That TENS stimulation gizmo really helped.

So, I was checking my SunPass account this evening. I reckoned I should have had a top up or two. To my surprise, I had a $28.33 “toll relief credit” added to my account. Seems they credit 50% of what you spent in tolls in a month if you have 35 charges or more. That in addition to the savings you get by having a SunPass!
Glad the TENS helped Kathie. It’s about now I start to keep an eye on the weather. I use Apple Maps as my nav. It is like having a real time traffic and weather report on my screen.
G’nite again.

It sucks Lee that today and tomorrow are it for this year's Florida vacation. After all the fun and things you've done while there, you guys should just go to bed when you get home and not get up till noon on Tuesday.

K2; Happy that you figured out and fixed what was causing a water leak in your basement. And it didn't take a bucket of cash to make the fix.

So what you're saying BB, is that DeathSantis hasn't got you packing heat, just yet? Although, I can see you carrying a double barreled sawed off shotgun.

I'd forgotten about Foxworthy's TV show, Bill. Quite a few times those young kids were smarter than I was.

On TV yesterday some celebrity mentioned that when he was young and poor, he pretty much lived on bologna & cheese sandwiches. Which got me thinking. I can't remember the last time I had any bologna. I mentioned it to Kathi, and she said she was thinking of a bologna sandwich. Like hot dogs, you probably don't want to know what's in them. Just eat and enjoy. It won't surprise me if we get some at the grocery store this week.

Had a nice surprise from the bank yesterday. Kathi had filed our taxes on the computer last week. And the Federal tax refund had already posted in our checking account. WAY sooner than I expected.

This morning it's off to the groomers for both pooches. Jack for a bath, and Fuzzbutt for a bath, cut and hair styling.

A good morning to everyone.
I’d love, just once, to be able to sleep until 7:00 let alone noon Dave. Plus The Subie has to be at the dealership for 8:00 on Tuesday. And it’s sure not gonna be 67F at home that early in the morning. How long after the pups get out of the groomers does it take for you to wonder if they were even there? Ya got me singing this. Now I’ll plant it in everyone’s mind.

Hungry Food GIF by Oscar Mayer
Although Oscar Mayer has the popular SONG for Bologna.... here in Hamtramck, Michigan we have a family owned sausage company that makes BY FAR THE BEST BOLOGNA around. Yes, it makes Oscar Mayer's seem like silicone. The name of the company is KOLWASKI! Their Garlic BOLOGNA is my favorite.
And like Dave mentioned.... you DO NOT want to know what's in Bologna or Hot Dogs or how they are made. We had a choir member that decades ago was working his way through college and had a job at KOLWASKI's and he told us what was in those and how they were made and
I'VE NEVER FORGOTTEN IT. Fortunately I got over the thought and still eat both! :clap002:

It's sunny and 30F here in our fair Township right now. Going up to low 40's.

I thought my EYE FIELD TEST was for today. NOPE it was for THURSDAY and it was at the regular doctors office. I cancelled it since I'm having one done NEXT week at the
Specialists eye office. Whew.... glad I finally realized the double booking.

Not much on my TO DO LIST today except I have some B-Day cards to take to the post office so they get to the ladies in time. Then I would really like to start PITCHING things in the basement recreation area. It's gotten a TAD (lot) out of hand down there.

Dave: Nice that your tax return is back and safely in the bank. I'll have to check and see if ours has made it yet!

LEE: I think it's good that you're waiting until you get BACK HOME to get your new Subie's oil changed. Although, I bet it would have been cheaper in the STATES. Unless, they give you your 1st oil change as a Complimentary one! You should make a point of asking them or your salesperson. Never give up a opportunity to get something for free by asking. All they can say is NO.

Okay folks, I'm out of here for now. Keep the CHATTER UP and as they say in the movies.......
I'LL BE BACK! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Good morning, gang!

Lee - You really did it with the Oscar Mayer theme song! Really got people thinking about bologna or baloney as it is also called. Have any of you ever seen the wienermobile in person? We have many times when we lived in NJ.
th

In NJ Oscar Mayer baloney was not the only and most popular brand. We liked Thumann's baloney and hot dogs. Other friends loved Schickhaus and would buy a 5 pound loaf to bring with them to Florida. I didn't think it was that great. Personally, olive loaf is my favorite.

Kathie - Glad you got that leaf in the basement fixed pretty quickly and that the gizmo helped your thigh feel better.

Dave - Not packing heat just yet, but living here in the wild wild south that may become a thing I'll have to do. I do know a number of women here who have a concealed carry permit, including Missy. Jimmy travels around quite a bit for work at all hours of the day and night. He always carries a gun in the glovebox. Once in a rare while he forgets to take it out. Missy was afraid that if she ever was stopped and the gun was in the car, she better have the concealed permit, so she wouldn't get in trouble. Jimmy is very into guns. Heck, they even take the kids to the shooting range to teach them to shoot. Don't forget we live in Redneck land. Heck, we've got Machine gun America near here, if you get the urge to fire a machine gun. They advertise it as "family fun"!!
I bet Fuzzbutt and Jack will look beatiful after their trip to the groomer.

I've got another pretty slow day ahead. Bert has to go to the dermatologist after lunch. Then this evening we may go tot he Grille to play music bingo. Bert isn't thrilled about going, but I'll drag him along anyway.

Right now I need coffee. Haven't had a cup yet and want it before Bert gets out here. Then I think I'll make some bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches on English muffins. Yummy!!!

Have a great hump day, everyone!

Today is trash and recycle day so the trucks have just rumbled by picking up all the barrels from the curb. Need to go out now to bring them back in and then go to the post office with some outgoing mail.
BB, They repeated the first episode of True Lies last night so I was able to see what I missed when it premiered. Best part was some of the views of Paris. Kind of cute but dumb (the lead actor is no Arnold) so if I were one of those actors in it, I wouldn't count on it for long term employment. Then again, considering some of the shows that are still airing, I could definitely be wrong.
Sorry you will be leaving us so soon, Lee and LuAnn, but glad that we got to meet up and share a meal. To our regret we will be following you all too soon. Just hope that we both can bring some of this weather back home with us, but not optimistic about that happening.

“You’re welcome” for the song.
We saw a Wiener Mobile at the Henry Ford museum in MI Pat. I’m sensing a business opportunity geared towards tourists here in central FL. “Rent-A-Weapon”. The tag line could be “Because the other guy has one.” We walked past Machine Gun America coming from Old Town one night. The racket was constant.
Actually Kathie Subie Service is less expensive at home. And when I compared what Sport Subaru in Orlando does vs Subaru Windsor, they’re more thorough at home too! Neat. Peanut cluster day.
It‘s garbage day every day in this community Bill. They come to every house, check the bin, take the garbage to the curb and a guy in a little tractor with a trailer picks it up. They also stopped recycling.
We drove to The Poly for a press pot of Kona coffee. While there we hoped a boat to The Mgic Kingdom entrance and walked to The Contemporary Hotel. We looked around there, took the monorail back to the ticket and transportation hub and walked to The Poly and our car. A nice inexpensive way to spend the morning.

Lee - Too bad your time here is so short. I saw on the news last night that over at the Grand Floridian at Disney they just put out their chocolate Easter eggs, rabbits, etc. All are on display and have taken months to create.

Just call me BRILLIANT! Ha Ha.
I got an appointment for tomorrow at 9:45 a.m. after only calling 2 days ago and sending over filled out forms and having my Internist send the records they wanted to them.

The nice lady named PAT, called me today and said "I have an appointment for you for tomorrow at 9:45 a.m. tell me you can make it". I told YOU BET I CAN. (I'm sure somebody cancelled and she was kind enough to put me in the slot!) Bless her.
This is an
Endourologist. (for my Thyroid) Turns out I went to one of the 2 doctors in that same office in 2014. I thought the name sounded familiar when I was doing some research on the references my doctor gave me. I'm glad I'm seeing the other younger doctor this time.
I can't believe I knocked off 5.5 months of waiting to get in! WOW.
I bought the nice lady named PAT.... a Tim Horton gift card and put it in a THANK YOU CARD. People like her should get
recognized and appreciated. Art said it was a nice gesture.
I'm still working on getting one of the meds at the new mail-in pharmacy knocked down in price. Art was at the kitchen table listening to me on the phone yesterday and today and he said he wouldn't have bothered with all I was doing. MEN.......Pfffth!

Night all.

OUTSTANDING song you posted yesterday, Lee. It's been years since I last heard it, but still remembered the words. It's so sad that today is your last day in Florida, for another year. Tomorrow morning you'll be so "short" that you can go out the door without opening it.

I've only seen the Weinermobile in pictures and on TV.

My goodness, some of you Bunnies sure are picky about your bologna. Unless I tried 3 different brands at the same sitting, I don't think I could really tell the difference.

Changing meats now; We all see on TV those Jimmy Dean Sausage commercials. with a voice over by Jimmy Dean. Heck, that guy has been dead for 13 years.

Good going on that appointment, K2.

Oh NO! Not AGAIN! This weekend we've got to move our clocks forward. Every year the politicians discuss doing away with that twice a year change. But, every year, they do nothing.

Have yourselves a very fine day Wabbits.

Good morning, been a busy week this week & just now getting a chance to catch up.

Dave, I'm very picky about my bologna, I had bought a cheap pack at walmart one time & thought it was fine, then Jane fixed me a sandwich with Oscar Myer and oh my goodness, I could really tell the difference. I have to really be in the mood it eat it anyway, but now I will only buy the good stuff!
Kathie, good for you on trying to get the price of meds lowered, it's outrageous what they charge sometimes! That was really sweet of you to buy the gift card for the lady who got your appt. switched!

Lee, safe travels going home! If you change your mind & decide to stay an extra week there is a room available at Casa Cooper in Belleview & we are very pet friendly!

Pat, did you make it to music bingo last night? It sounds fun, what is it? I haven't been back to our bingo since they re-started after covid. I always forget or don't have cash on me at the time.

Bill, I still haven't had a chance to watch the new show True lies, the previews look interesting, but predictable....need to just pull up CBS.com & catch up. I also haven't seen Magnum PI since it switched to NBC, 9 pm on Sundays just isn't something I remember for some reason

Tuesday I went to Jane's & cut some more of the crepe myrtle back, still have a lot more to do, but one load a week is enough for me.
Then yesterday I decided to repaint the top of my desk, it was white & it's amazing how much oil & dirt would get on the top & front of my desk and is so hard to scrub off. So I painted the top & middle drawer a dark brown, I think it turned out pretty nice. And as long as I had all the drawers out I decided to go thru & sort & toss things. Then I moved onto my craft closet & filled a box with coloring books, crayons, paper & misc. stuff that the kids are to big for anymore. I have an ad on FB to give it away so hopefully someone will want it. After I get off here I am going to start on the back patio area, the weeds need to be sprayed & my hibiscus needs to be cut back from the frost. But first I think I'm going to fix me a bacon, egg & cheese bagel & another cup of coffee, enjoy the day all!

A quick good morning before we head to Zepherhills. Jim and Gail still have Gail’s Mom’s house there so we’re going for a visit. I think the girls are heading to a mall for a tad of “retail therapyl.
Tomorrow, Friday, is our last day Dave. After an early 7:40 am breakfast at The Kona Cafe we’ll come back to the house, do laundry, pack and tidy. We’ll be ready to go Saturday when we get up.
Enjoy your day my friends. I‘ll pop back this evening.

Hi Karen. You popped in as I hit my post.

Spring Ahead Alarm Clock GIF by Green Valley Community Church
HATE THESE CLOCK CHANGES BIG TIME. USELESS.

Weather folks are calling for another one of those RAIN/SNOW mixes after 10 o'clock tonight.
JOY, JOY! Not

Bologna has to be with garlic from Kolwaski's for me. Oscar Meyer tastes like rubber to me. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Karen: I see you popped on. Good Morning. Desk painting job sounds nice. Now go and buy a piece of Plexiglass and put it on top with spaces for air in between it to save the top! I'm always willing to SPEND YOUR money! Ha Ha. Have a great day.

You all be good. I'm off to drive about 25 mins to the appt.

By the way: Late last night I called the NEW MAIL ORDER DRUG Company that our insurance now uses and got 3 different people with 3 different phone numbers and fax numbers to give to my doctors for any new meds. CRAZY idiots can't get it together for the life of them. Also, got 3 different prices for 90 day supply of BRAND name drugs. It's enough to make you want to pull out your hair. HATE IT.

All I can say is when I (we) were younger and working full time we must have been healthier because we wouldn't have ever been able to stay on HOLD as long as I have done this week. Or had so many calls and appointments to make. I long for those WORKING DAYS and better health.

Enjoy your day.
Lee you popped on just now. Have fun with your friends.

Just time for a quick good morning. We're getting ready to head for Sea World for a couple of hours and to enjoy some of the Seven Seas food samplers and drinks. We want to go today before Spring break sets in next week in this area.

I'll try to stop back later. In the meantime, have a wonderful day everyone!

A late good morning. Just home from the hand Dr.. Got an injection in my index finger and wrist on the left hand plus got a wrist brace for the left hand. He thought that with the finger he injected feeling 50% better the injection worked pretty good. And just had to loosen the brace a bit as my hand was going numb, I am to wear it all night and most of the day. I know I will wear it tomorrow when I go for therapy.

Yesterday after getting the SUV serviced I did some shopping and won't have to go for two weeks, which since I have two days of clear liguids and Bruce two days the same next week I really don't want to do any shopping then.

All have a great day.
