Nice looking picture gang! I do agree it would look better next year though if Kathie, Art & I were sitting on the far end of the table!:D

Good morning, everyone! Our string of beautiful weather continues. We didn't even get any much needed rain here last night. Everything is getting so dry.

Lee - Thanks for posting the picture from last night. It certainly was a lot of fun - good food, good drinks, and most of all good company. I can't believe that you found Harry's. That is my all time favorite restaurant! We used to go there all the time when we loved in Ocala. Now we go to the one in Lakeland, but only rarely.
Believe me, DiCarlo's gets a lot busier later than when we were there. They will definitely fill the place on weekends. Those that go to the theme parks all show up later. Plus the parking lot at Osceola Heritage Park was still full. Once the wrestling matches were over, people will head for DiCarlo's.

Karen - Definitely need to make a gathering happen next year. We just need Kathie & Art to bite the bullet and come to Florida for vacation.

Dave - My computer is back in place. Most days he only takes it off the table when we are eating and then forgets to put it back.

Kathie - Good luck with those phone calls you have to make. That should keep you busy for a while.

So today we will lose our company. Time for Rita & Bill to head back to Vero. We have so enjoyed seeing them again and having them here. They, as all the Bunnies, are always welcome here. I love having company and it gives Bert something to do. LOL

So far, I have a bunch of sleepy heads. No one is up yet, but I think I head Bert in the bedroom, so he should come out soon. Guess it's time for me to see about cranking up the waffle iron once again.

Have a wonderful day, gang, no matter what you're doing.

A late good morning. The race yesterday was good. I fixed a marinaded chicken which was grilled for dinner and it was real good.

Don't have any plans for today. The next 3 days are busy, with Cardio for Bruce tomorrow, taking the Telluride in for service Wednesday and then the hand Dr Thursday.

Nice photo.

all have a great day.

We found a place tonight ALMOST as good as DiCarlo’s. It was our kitchen and leftovers from DiCarlo’s.

It's official, Monday is leftover Italian night, I had rigatoni my sister Barb made, it was really good too! Night from Belleview, I went to the pool with Barb this afternoon & got a little bit to much sun, not burnt, just enough to make me sleepy. Didn't get in the water, just dangled my feet in, 80 degrees is still to cold for me.

Nice CHATTER WRABBITS.

No problem having DAVE & Kathi at next years gathering. We can pick them up on the way down and since they both had good jobs and TONS of RETIREMENT BUCKS they can FLY back home.

Now to continue!

I was on that dang phone ALL MORNING putting out fires.
I got 3 things taken care of and one left to do on Tuesday. BlueCross/Blue Shield.
Hope I get somebody that speaks English well. If not, I might have to pull the "bad connection" stunt and hang up. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme: :emoticon 0100 smile:

Lee: Make sure to get all the walks you can in the next few days. Not easy getting ready to drive home. I just hope the WEATHER stops all these snow and wind storms crossing the country side. Pack a lot of GOODIES for the car just in case you need them. Now who the heck am I trying to educate here. You've got this leaving and packing down to a SCIENCE.

My body needs a rest on the couch. Yup, tonight I am going to be a Couch Potato! Ha Ha.

Karen: Good for you getting your feet wet in the pool. Before you know it the pool will be TOO HOT, so enjoy dangling your feet before you have to jump in to cool off. How's Scooter doing these days?? And did the Roofers use that huge MAGNETIC ROLLER to pick up nails around your place. Just don't be walking around barefoot this year!
And last question.... how is your Compost Unit doing?

Nite folks. Wish me luck with BC/BS tomorrow.

Lee: I hope not either. Just want to be able to UNDERSTAND the person! I usually get a nice representative. ;):emoticon 0101 sadsmile:

Thanks for the invite, Bunnies. Only the stars can tell what we'll be doing a year from now.

I stand corrected on seeing that group picture at some post office. It was on a milk carton.

I'd love to hang around a pool, KC. Problem around here, it would probably have ice on it. 80 degree water? Lee would say, that's refreshing.

It was very quiet around here yesterday, (The way I like it.) So I don't have anything to yak about.

Ya'll have yourselves a good day, with some smiles.

Have A Good Day GIF
Some say it's Taco Tuesday. We'll be having Chicken! Ha Ha. I guess I could make them into Taco's!

Story Time at the A's house! A Tad boring, but it's all I have this morning.

We had so much snow and melting from the "lovely Sunshine" that in the 30 yrs we have been in this house we had our FIRST WATER in the basement on one wall situation. Well, after going outside and looking things over we found the CULPRET was the down-spout extension from the gutter causing the issue. Seems the extension came loose and the snow melting from the roof was draining and water was piling up right against the house. And when it settled under that NICE MULCH I put down last year it managed to rise high enough to go over the wall structure of the house.
The water of course then the water goes over the wall to the inner floor and "WAL-LA" we have a wet floor in one area.
We went outside and I raked all the mulch away from the house and I reconnected the extension and Art made a slice into the grass going into the SWAIL area between the 2 houses. The water stopped building up ASAP. We took care of the floor area in the basement and when I went to look at it before I retired to bed, at midnight, it was drying up.
Needless to say we will have to look into re-diverting that area on the side of the house that we NEVER look at once things thaw out.

My RIGHT SIDE of my thigh is telling me I over-did it! OUCH.

By the way, the 2nd Shingle shot didn't bother either one of us at all. Whew! I was worried about that.

Have a fun day Wrabbits. I need to get ready for my LAST PHONE CALL soon. First I have to get a cup of coffee. Later gang.

LEE & Lu-Ann enjoy your day BIG TIME. Which day do you take off for home?

Good morning, everyone!

I'm waiting for the guy who services that breathing gizmo that I have to use at night. He stops by about once a month to check on how much I've used the machine. My numbers aren't going to be good this time because when I had bronchitis, I couldn't use it. Then I was in the hospital and so on. I just hope the insurance company doesn't stop paying for it, because there's no way we can pay $1700/mo. for something I can only use for about 4-5 hours a night, no matter what my pulmonologist might want.

Aside from the above, there's not much going on around here today. I don't even have to cook. We still have leftovers from DiCarlo's and some of the ribs I made the other night. I'm a happy camper anytime I don't have to cook.

I got to talk to Joanne yesterday. First time in 2 months. She and Jeff seem to be constantly dealing with something. Her latest is that she fell in her garage and scraped up her face and bruised her shoulder. I did have a good time telling her all about our wonderful (?) governor. Not being from Florida, she knows very little about him, aside from what she sees on faux news. Boy, did I giver her an ear full! I'm sure Jeff will tell her that I was exaggerating because her always knows better.
The latest from DeathSantis is having the legislature debate and eventually pass a law that you would no longer need a permit to carry a gun. Anyone could get one with absolutely no training. The NRA feels this law would not go far enough. They want an open carry law, including being able to openly carry an AR15 around with you. How fun would that be in Publix? This is all part of DeathSantis' plan to make Florida free! A**hole as far as I'm concerned!!

OK, I'm off my soapbox. Time to go tune up my cannon for our yard, so I can sink any ships that try to invade our lake!!! LOL

Time for some coffee and try to find something to do or somewhere to go today. Have a good one, gang, and stay safe!

Missed a turn on the way home from Bert &Pat's house so we took the long way back to Vero but the trip still only took two hours. Wonderful weekend in the Bellalargo BNB which gets a 5 star rating (the highest possible) in my BG Travel Guide (which has standards far higher than those used by Michelin).
Didn't take long to fall back into bad habits and didn't get out of bed this morning until the sound of the lawn maintenance company's mowers circled the house and made it impossible to continue lying there.
Watched the Jeopardy Teen Reunion program last night and for one of the few times in memory, I knew the answer to the Final Jeopardy question while none of the teen contestants did. Guess I am "Smarter than a Third Grader" or whatever that old Jeff Foxworthy program was called.
K2, don't know about "Pure" Michigan but Massachusetts has a program that they advertise heavily where they list the names of people who have had unclaimed money that were turned into the State from old insurance policies, dormant bank accounts, uncashed state and federal tax return checks, and other sources and by contacting our State Treasurer's office they can get those funds. That amount of money in the state treasury is staggeringly in the millions. When I got home yesterday, I had to call my Credit Union because when they opened the new checking account they failed to set it up so that money could be transferred into it from our other two accounts and I was concerned that when there were no funds and no transactions in or out of that account for a period of time, they would close it out. We still have one checking account that we have been able to use for our direct deposits and to pay our various bills and expenses, but I want to have the new account to dedicate it to my annual football pool or other special needs. The matter was quickly and efficiently handled by the person I spoke to at the Credit Union, so all is now well.
It was really great to be able to get together again with Lee and LuAnn and Bert and Pat. I second Lee's comments about the food at the restaurant. My veal parmesan was not only as delicious as I have ever had, but, even after I had had my fill, there was still enough left to take home for two more meals, one of which was last night's dinner. The picture of our gathering that I posted on Facebook actually got over 60 viewings.
The living room in this house faces the East and it has a front wall of floor to ceiling windows so, while the AC keeps the rest of the house comfortably cool, the sunlight in the morning makes the room quite warm. The room has heavy dark drapes or we probably wouldn't be able to watch the TV there during the day unless we closed them.

I've had my "Tens gizmo" with the leads on my right thigh for most of the morning and it's doing a good job of stimulating the tight muscles in that area. Amazing little piece of ingenuity.

Negc: Nice picture for sure. And good that you were able to take care of the accounts at the Credit Union .
Michigan does have a FUND where money from various financial institutions gets sent if not claimed. Just like my Credit Union warned me about last week. They said you have to have at least 1 transaction in a year to keep it from going into the dead accounts and getting transferred to the STATE. Of course, that only happens after it's been idle for years. Like mine was. Shame on me thinking I had CLOSED the account.

Made my call this morning and got some very nice people to talk to about a price of a med. Only got transferred one time and disconnected one time. But the nice young lady actually called me back. I'm in the WAIT SEE mode now. Deep down inside I think when the company changed drug distributors, they did some folks an injustice on what brands were going to be part of our plan. It's worth my time to RATTLE their CAGES. Time will tell what happens.

Made a batch of Almond slivered Scones with Dried Cranberries in them too. Actually turned out good. I didn't have enough Blueberries to make Blueberry Scones.

Out of here for today.

BB and others........wish I had some
leftovers for our dinner to save me from cooking. Bummer. Enjoy yours. :clap002:
