Apple Fritters are tasty. I need to get a better control on the oil temp! A tad dark, but they don’t taste burnt at all. Whew.

It’s a WET snow.

IIt’s a wet snow. The kids put a Green Glow Lite on MANNY so they could see him in the snow while he ran around. The DOG LOVES THE cold snow.

I’m trying to watch what I eat Kathie. I’d have to blow the powdered sugar off my fritter.
heading out with Ava. Back later.

Happy belated anniversary BB & Bert. You 2 young love-birds.

I hope KC that you got your fish too, yesterday. Happy that the Eleve worked for you.

My goodness K2, you've got so much loot stashed all over the place that you forget where you put it all. Hope your arm is OK from your shingles shot. That shot gave me more hurt than any of the others.

Lee, so you say that you can be bribed with wine by motels?

Your one prescription was ready for pick-up, Bill. I'll trade you. I've got 8 ready. They all hit at the same time. A bit over $400 worth.

So it's a visit with the WalMartions this morning. And this time their space guns are going to ZAP my wallet.

This is EXACTLY how our backyard with all the Spruce, Maple and
Arborvitaes looks this morning! Actually, BEAUTIFUL. Some of the Arborvitae shrubs have LIMBS that are HANGING down big time from the weight of the WET snowfall, but they'll spring back up through the day.
sunny GIF
It's REALLY SUNNY outside and the snow on the tree branches looks like Crystals. It falls in clumps. Neat to watch.

Ed was out around midnight snow blowing and getting ahead of the game. Then the Subdivision's paid snowplow came through and cleaned the street up really good. Also, as usual left a PILE on the driveway apron. Somebody came and got rid of the 2 foot high piles. We're living good here at our house. Not sure if it was our next door neighbor or if ED came by again. My SIGN that I put up last year that said to "park your cars in the driveways and give the snowplow a chance to do a good clean up job" worked. Everyone around here parked their cars in their driveways! I didn't even have the sign posted on the tree this year! Just common sense to not park in the street on a big snow day.

DAVE: Did you get a lot of snow?
Wow.... that's a really hefty bill for your meds. Hope that's a 3-month supply. That would have been $40 bucks for 7 of them for me and $45 for one of them = $85 if I filled mine at the same time. I'm glad that the folks on Insulin are finally getting a break and only have to pay about $35 bucks a month. They sure were getting ripped off big time. Just like everyone else is with meds.

Lee: Wise move Blowing Off the powder sugar on the Fritters. I'm sure that would save you a TON of calories. Ha ha.

I'm off to enjoy my coffee and just relax. I have throw blankets in the washer that we use when watching TV. And I'm going to change the bedding and wash the kitchen floor. But it will have to wait until I'm ready. I have all day to think about doing those jobs.

BB: Did you and Bert get to go out and have a nice dinner on your Anniversary? Hope it was fun and good!

Out of here for now. ENJOY YOUR DAY WRABBITS.

Here's a picture from a friend of ours showing just how BAD RED TIDE is down South on the Gulf side in the canals by peoples condos. We experienced this many dead fish one year and it was UNBELIEVEABLE how BADLY IT SMELLED! Red Tide has been bad this year at places up and down the Gulf where we have stayed. I would have hated to pay the HIGH PRICE of a rental this year and not been able to enjoy the beach everyday because you couldn't breath or your eyes were burning from it.
Who am I kidding.........I would have worked around it and been out on the days it wasn't smelling ugly! Ha Ha.

Good morning. It was another night of fitful sleep.

Thanks for the link for CBD for Arthritis and for saying Acupuncture should help, but for now I will give the Dr.s a chance as I have only had one appt with both for the hands and neck. And as long as neither are saying surgery I will give them a chance.

Don't have any plans for today. Most likely will mainly be watching NASCAR.

All have a great day.

We’ve heard about how bad the Red Tide is Kathie. I can’t begin to imagine the smell! And on the flip side you’re having a beautiful Pure Michigan winter day. We’ve had two sets of friends ask us for long term rental info for next year because they can’t find places! Yes, Sunshine booked us in for 2024 too.
Ya Dave, I’m nothing but a cheap “wine-ho”. Both properties are “new” to us but Drury has always been consistently good.
Now, did everyone craving fish and chips get them?
How are you feeling today Karen?
LOOKING VERY FORWARD to seeing Pat, Bert, Bill and Rita tomorrow.
Have a great rest of today and we’ll see you all later.

Good afternoon, nothing much at all going on around here. Did some running around this morning & then basically just chilled the rest of the day. Back is better, a few spasms here & there but I haven't had to take any meds so that's a good thing!
Didn't get my fish & chips yesterday, I think I will plan on trying to do it next friday.
Ya'all enjoy your meet up tomorrow & have a glass or 2 for the rest of us bunnies.

Trees were DRIPPING today from the Sunshine. Sidewalks, driveways and streets are clean as a whistle. Now where did that saying ever come from??

Got all my jobs done EXCEPT the kitchen floor washing. There's always tomorrow! Ha Ha.

Nothing on TV and some of the movies that Karen mentioned you had to PAY to VIEW. Not happening for a outdated movie.

You all have a good evening and hope that everybody gets a good nights sleep.

It's a Sunday, and an excellent day for a Bunny get together. Now be on your best behavior, Rabbits. And no matter what Lee says, there will be NO LIGHTING OF FARTS.

Sorry that you didn't get any fish on Friday, KC. Mine was excellent. You can choose between fried or baked, and I always choose baked. I'm not keen on the battered fried. I only wanted the fish, (2 servings), and none of the sides. We've got more than enough stuff here at the house for sides. With the fish I just wanted cut up fruit. For a full dinner with 2 sides it's $15. But surprisingly, it was only $6 for 2 servings of just the fish. Next week I'm going to get 3 servings.

No snow here, K2. Once again the weather front cut a line, west to east, across Lake Erie. South of it, it was warmer. North of it was the cold and snow. I can only imagine the stench coming from all those dead fish. I'm curious as to what they do with all of them. Bury or incinerate? Sucks if you've got the job of getting it all out of the water. But like they say, somebody has got to do it.

Here's a surprising observation I made when cooking up a bag of microwave popcorn, last night; All food items now have a nutrition label on the packaging. And while my popcorn was popping, I read the nutrition-facts on the box the popcorn came in. I read how many calories were in a cup of the popcorn. BUT, they also listed the calories in a cup of UNPOPPED popcorn.

Now.......Have you or anyone you know ever bought some microwave popcorn and just ate the kernels of corn before it was popped???

Good morning! I want to thank you all for all the anniversary wishes. This was a really special one to us, but then again, at this point, they are all special!

Figured I better check in before the rest of the house comes to life! Yesterday Bert put up my computer before I even had a chance to say good morning. He was eager for our company to arrive.

Speaking of company, it's been so nice to be spending this time with Rita & Bill. Reminds me of all the times we've been cruising together over the years. We've been eating and drinking, so what more could you want. right?

Looking forward to our dinner later with Lee & Lu-Ann. We have a reservation for 5:30. I'm sure there will be a picture forthcoming documenting the event!!

Kathie - Yes, Bert & I went out for dinner the other night. We went to the same place we are going to tonight. We love their menu, so we can always find something different to eat.

Dave - Ouch! on that cost for meds. That's a lot at one time, but you gotta do what you gotta do and bite the bullet. If meds are needed, you've got to spend the money, no matter how much it hurts.

Lee - Glad you're going back to an old familiar place for the trip home. It's bad enough to have to be going home, but at least you know where there will be a glass of wine waiting for you.

Karen - I hope your back feels better soon. Take it easy and enjoy the weather before the rains come.

I hear movement in the guest room, so I guess I better get off here and see about getting breakfast started for our guests. Homemade waffles are on the menu as well as homemade blueberry muffins. Anyone else getting hungry?

Have a super day, everyone!

Good morning. It is to be another hot day here. Will be going for lunch later, then it will be watching the Cup race. And those are my plans for today.

Yesterday I saw a nice recipe for chicken that I will try today. You marinade then grill, easy.

All have a great day

Good afternoon!

Pat, enjoy your visit with Bill & Rita, if you ever decide to start a second career I think you would make an excellent B&B hostess!

Dave, I guess in the sue happy society we live in now even microwave popcorn has to cover their hinney.

Lee, glad you were able to get booked in your favorite hotel for the trip home!

Went to church this morning & put in a good word for all of us, then to Walmart to pick up a few things & then to Jane's as some of the things I picked up were for her. She fixed us tuna sandwiches for lunch so now I've had fish this week as well! Hot & humid here and pretty sure there is an afternoon nap calling my name!

Karen so glad you went to church and said a good word for all of us. I STAYED HOME. Bad me.

BB: How fun to have HOUSE GUESTS. Always nice to catch up on things. So did BERT have to set a alarm to make sure he wasn't still in bed when Bill & Rita arrived! Ha Ha.

Enjoy your dinner tonight. And YES, pictures will be appreciated.

I managed to time cleaning my stove top grates and burners. They weren't all that dirty, but I like to put them in the laundry room tub and make sure to scrub off any grease or grime from cooking on them. If I keep up with it cleaning during the week it's not as nasty of a job.

Then I vacuumed up the kitchen floor of crumbs, dust, etc. I really need to get one of those STICK VACUUMS that work on HARDWOOD FLOORS. I'm just too cheap to spend over $400 bucks. I still need to use the Shark Steamer to wash the floor, but I'm on UNION BREAK! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Dave: The snow is still piled up on the grass, but the sidewalks and streets are clear and dry.
Sunshine is doing a good melt job. And our huge Arborvitae shrubs in the backyard POPPED their branches back up as soon as the sun melted the snow/ice off of them. I really thought 3 of them were never going to go back up. It's actually amazing when you think how LONG and HEAVY those branches are.

Okay folks.... break time is over. You all have a good day.

Nancy hope your favorite driver wins.

To start, everything Pat has ever said about DiCarlo’s is wrong. The food, portions, price, server and tonight the company was WAYYYYY better than she lets on. And the garlic bread. :emoticon 0152 heart: If there is a downside, it should and deserves to be busier.
And the picture…

You all have a good Monday! I'll catch up with you sometime during the day.
I have "paperwork and calling to do in the morning"! :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Good morning.
It really was great to see everyone last night. An excellent suggestion that Pat made to get together. Thank you Pat, Bert, Bill and Rita for making the time for us.
We drove back to the house in a real downpour. Even the FL drivers were slowing a bit.
This morning we have very heavy fog, 66F and humid!
I hope all of your time on the phone goes well Kathie. Keep a cup of coffee handy!
I’ll check back later to see how you’re all doing.
In the meanwhile, ALL of you have a great Monday.

Yup Lee, your plate of food looks good for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

BB; Hoping that Bert has put your computer back where you can use it.

You are so right KC, our society is filled with sue-happy people. Thanks for the good words to the BIG GUY.

Still no snow for the next few days in our forecast, K2. So far, this has been one of those years with about diddley for snow. Sucks to be a kid that got a sled or snowboard for Christmas.
