Checking in...and out from The Burg.
Our area has been plunged back in to lockdown for 28 days. Yep, that takes us through until January 11. Bah humbug. No gatherings unless they are family who live under your roof.
All this talk about dumb and smart asses reminds me of a story. But we won’t go there. Tonight.
You all stay safe and sound.

LATE evening check in from Macomb!

SAN: You need to click on the tT and pick a FONT that's a little bigger
than the one you are currently using! I think you're on a #15. Try 18 or 22!! PLEASE!! And my eyes thank you so much.

We decided to take a drive up to Michigan State Univ and surprise Ashley with a 10 min HELLO and HOW are you Today. We are exchanging ONE (1) gift to each other this Christmas. Art wanted some suggestions. I told him I could use a everyday-nothing special Mich State Univ sweatshirt. He suggested going up to the MSU Bookstore/Clothing store in town and seeing if I could pick out exactly what I wanted. HEY....that works for me. It was SUNNY when we left home and halfway up to East Lansing the clouds showed up. Bummer. We called Ash and asked if she wanted us to bring in any carry out food for her and she said as she always does...."Thanks, but I'm good"!! She was working on her last big project and we said we really wanted to just say hello, use her bathroom and get to the Bookstore and head home and beat the rush hour traffic. It was a quick visit, but always so good to see her.
She did tell us that she had a Virtual Interview with the company she was suppose to do her Internship with. That's a good sign that they called her to have a interview. Let's all pray that the girl gets a break and they want to hire her. Now wouldn't that just be fantastic since the rest of this last year of College was a BUST with no inter-action with other students or teachers and no real graduation. Can you imagine how she REALLY must feel after all her hard work. She's a good kid and doesn't complain like her Baba(Grandma) would! Ha Ha.

I managed to get up early and get to our big Kroger store and it was nice to see Disinfectant wipes on the shelf and bathroom cleaner sprays. I bought the Clorox Foaming Bathroom spray for the shower and "toilets"! I don't need any wipes. Stocked up on those during the Summer when they would show up on the shelves. It will be nice to see the BIGGER quantity of disinfectant wipes show up some day. I think they were like 80 in a container and not 32 like now.

DAVE: Good to know that Kathi's swollen lip is getting better and that the stitches are out.
Nice she is baking cookies too.
Sorry about your Pups bills. Always something!!

BB: Good catch on the free sample meds! Always a plus when they are willing to hand them out. And nice that they put you on a Antibiotic before you got the YUCKY's in the lungs.
How did they say you were doing otherwise?

KC: I hate when I loose a long post. You just never feel like repeating yourself.

Lee: Bummer on the LOCK-DOWN. Hope you have enough food, groceries, dog food, and coffee in the house. :)

GOD BLESS the Supreme COURT for a 9/0 vote on not even LOOKING AT TRUMP's lawsuits. I'm sure they have better things to do. So much for putting in that latest woman and thinking she was going to kiss his butt and make everything good for him. I wonder if his Taylor has come up into the White House to measure T for his Orange Jail Suit yet!! Wouldn't you just love to be a FLY on the wall or a mouse under the couch to hear him
RANT and RAVE after the big announcement that his case is not going to be heard.
Art said he's most likely got a back-up crazy idea to present to somebody. The man is NOT going quietly.

Okay, I'm out of here. Suppose to start getting rainy and then colder by the first of the week. So glad I bought all kinds of staples so I don't have to go to the grocery store for awhile. I will have to make a trip to the meat shoppe, but I can call in my orders and do a in car pick up.

Take care and I hope Smart-Ass or dumb- ass figures out how to make the font a LITTLE BIGGER. If not it's no big deal. Just glad he's posting on here. I actually miss him when he stays away. And worry about him too.

SAN: To find the tT to change the font size you need to first look for the 3 dots! Then you’ll see the ‘ tT ‘ and it will allow you to choose a font size. Hope this helps!

I got up too early, not by my choice, I had horrible HEARTBURN. Must have eaten something spicy too late last night. So I got up and took a Anti-acid pill. Now I’m wide awake.

This morning I am noticing my iPhone has a PINK SHADING on the lower right corner. I’m thinking there must be a hairline crack on the screen. NOT A GOOD THING TO HAPPEN. This phone is still too new to exchange it for a new one. I might take it to the Fix-IT shop and see what the guy has to say. I’ve taken my iPAD there and they fixed the screen on that gizmo. Hey, ALWAYS SOMETHING!

We have a Pfizer plant right up 24 Mile Rd about 10 mins away from our house. Huge modern bldg. I wonder just what is going on in that bldg these days? It never has very many cars in the parking lot. I’ll have to pay better attention to that place since the Pfizer vaccine has been approved for distribution.

Time to get a bowl of cereral and coffee.

LIGHT DRIZZE GOING ON OUTSIDE HERE. Should be a rainy all day until 5:00 pm! Then we’re suppose to get wind and colder. Joy, joy. Next week SNOW!

Have a good day folks! Stay safe.

Hi K2, you're up bright and early.

Welcome to the weekend, Bunnies. Maybe a great time for us to get some presents wrapped.

It was so good to once again see the Buffoon get shot down by the Supreme Court yesterday. I think that the only one in the White House who believes that Biden won the election is Melania. She's already packing her stuff and said that she just wants to go home. (Place your bets on how soon she files for divorce.)

We all know the recommendations that the CDC has to avoid getting Covid, use masks, distance and others. But there's also one that many of you may not like. And that recommendation is to not eat or drink with anyone who doesn't live in your house. HMMM.

(I shake my head. IF ONLY, early on, people would have followed the medical protocols for a couple of months.)

Kathi did get the stitches in her upper lip taken out yesterday. Since they don't numb you when they do it, she said it was more painful than getting them put in.

When she picked up 2 granddaughters after school the first thing they asked her was if she's OK. They saw her do the face-plant on their driveway last week. Blood and all.

All this talk of you guys baking cookies lately reminded me of a news story. It seems that there is a 25% shortage in store-bought cookies. It seems to come from so many people staying home. You can't reach in the cookie jar when you are at work.

Nothing much planned for today. It'll be cold. Yesterday it was in the mid 50's.

Wishing you all a healthy and fun day.

Hello GANG....again. I guess I just have to use the BOLD button to get this color to be darker. Wish there was a way of SAVING my choices. Hate picking these out every time I post.

So, I have always wanted to make one of those Desk Flip Calendars by using photo's for each month of the year from my saved photos.
I looked up Vista Prints online and worked on that stupid little project for 1 hr and 50 mins. That's like almost 2 HOURS of my life gone trying to get the pictures loaded and onto the correct month, etc, etc. They had a 50% off Holiday deal and at $5 bucks a calendar I thought it was a nice thing to do. My dear friend Elaine always gives me one of those calendars with pictures of local landscaping, bldgs, etc. I have it on the counter in the kitchen and LOVE it.

I picked pictures of the family and one of Elaine, Mike, Art and myself at a restaurant that we went to last year that they loved going to. I'm going to give Elaine one of the calendars so she can have it as a memento of the good time we had.

Now aren't you ALL glad I shared that USELESS information with you. Ha Ha.

The RAIN was relentless just a little while ago. The creek is up and the ducks love it. Gloomy and damp. I just jacked up the heat to try and get this place warmed up and the dampness out of here.

Take care..........A TAD TOO QUIET on HERE right now. Need some more chatter.:cheerleader:

Good morning (just barely!) Very cloudy here with a chance of light rain for a little while, but then the sun will come out later this afternoon. That's a good thing because this evening is the Christmas dinner at the Grille. We're going with friends that we see all the time, so it will be safe for us and there's very limited seating.

After getting up early yesterday for my doctor's appointment, I made up for it today by sleeping until 9:30! Of course, that was with about an hour awake around 5, so that kind of evened it out, right?

Dave - All that cookie shortage is also adding to the weight gains so many are experiencing. Eating cookies + Lack of exercise and moving around = Weight gain. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out!
Sounds like Kathi's granddaughters were very worried about her after her fall last week on their driveway. That's so sweet.
We too were thrilled to see the Supreme Court hand lil t another defeat. I think his last desperate step is going to be that he will try to declare marshal law and reject the election completely. He knows once out of office NY is going to go after him bit time and he's scared :toilet:

Well, I see I never got this posted before noon, but I have an excuse. Just got a package from Brian & Sara of Swiss Colony goodies. We had to open it and refrigerate everything. We are so glad to get it as this is the first year I didn't place a huge order with Swiss Colony due to not having lots of company. Otherwise we'd have had to eat it ourselves!!

K2 - We had one of those calendars a few time. The above mentioned B&S would have them made with pictures of their kids for us to see and enjoy. When they were little, they took tons of pictures. Now, not so much, as the kids are always too busy.

Guess it's time to find something for lunch. G&E's gang took home any and all leftovers we had in the refrigerator. They cleaned us out of that food, sodas and some fruit! It's like trick or treating every visit!! LOL

Hi to everyone I missed this time. Have a wonderful day, stay dry, if it's raining by you, and stay safe. :)

I forgot to post the pictures of the house not far from here up 24 Mile Rd that has the UNREAL Christmas light display. I took pictures during the day and then yesterday on our way home from MSU I took some at night. There were about 3 cars with little kids having them walk through the arch on the sidewalk.
So here they are!
REALLY WINDY HERE RIGHT NOW. DRYING UP THE RAIN.

Good Evening everyone!
The word I learned today was "Retrumplicans". Referring the those in the GOP who are still drinking the Kool aide and reckon the moron is right. Which brings me to my story...
A long time ago in a land just across the river but far far away there was a little orange headed dictator. The good people of the country banded together to legally over throw him and force him from his white palace. When he finally saw the writing on the wall he tried to make good his escape by jumping out a window on to the back of his waiting donkey. Out he leapt and like so many of the things he did during his rule missed the donkey and landed in a deep depression next to the animal. Which only served to prove what the good people of this country knew all along. Yep, he doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. You're welcome.
All kidding aside, it was good to see the Supreme Court uphold the constitution not the guy who gave at least three them (I think) their life time jobs.
Wonderful pics of the house and their Christmas display Kathie! Vista print does offer some neat things. Just wait now as you will be inundated with email offers from them. The wipes are the one thing that are still in short supply around here. No matter where you look. We had Doug, Brenda and Peachy over for coffee and ginger bread cookies today. Tomorrow Jan and Dave are coming over for the same. Then we go into solitary confinement for a month.
Well Pat, as a matter fo fact it did rain most of the day here. That meant only runs in the yard for the pups. You should open the bottoms of some cans of stuff, empty them and put the empties in the fridge for when G&E come "trick or treating". I had to look up "Swiss Colony" as I don't think we have them here. I liked that first time orders get "free" chocolate! I also giggled at the product "Wild Meat Game Sticks".
Pretty sweet that the little folks were so concerned for "Grannie Kathi". One of the things with this "lock down" Dave is that you are not supposed to have anyone under your roof who does not live there. So in theory, I can go to work with six people who are my friends (yes smart a$$, I have six friends. Well, five maybe.) and spend all day with them but I can't have even two them over after work. This lock down has more loopholes than a crocheted afghan!
Dang Tony, I can hear you all the way up here!
Gonna head off. Hi to everyone out there in Bunny Land!
Wash your paws, often.

Hey, we had a rainstorm last night.....last one was April.
Last evening there was a commentator on MSNBC that coming out of this political mess we could have three major parties.

Democrats
Trump Party
and the smallest being Republican

I don’t see that as too far fetched. The buffoon will continue to break as many things as he can for years thus getting millions from his party.
A very sad time for the United States.
It would be nice to think he will end up in jail, but his lawyers will tie that up for years with more law suits.

Hot dog, it's the day when one of my favorite shows comes on, "CBS News Sunday Morning" @ 9 AM.

It wouldn't surprised me if you-know-who tries to declare martial law, BB. Once he's out of office he's going to have subpenas and lawsuits coming out his flutter-valve.

Loved your joke about the Buffoon, Lee.

I like your idea of the desk-flip-calendars, K2. And the pictures of Christmas lights and what they look like during the day was cool.

Yes San, at the moment there is no functioning Republican party.

It'll be 40 degrees and below here today, but hardly any chance of precipitation.

Also today, it'll be a day of waiting on Kathi's cell phone to ring. The mattress we ordered 8 weeks ago is finally in, and will be delivered. (It was suppose to be in, in 4-6 weeks.) We've no idea when during the day it will be here, only that the delivery truck will call a half hour ahead.

Good Sunday morning Wrabbits.
First off...thanks for the “Loud blast” SAN. You’re coming through loud and clear. Good job!!

Lee: Nice joke about the Moron! The Donkey got a real break by T missing him on the way out of the window.

KC: How’s Ginger doing with the Christmas tree barricade?

We put up a Shepard’s hook on the side of the house with 3 different Bird feeders on it. And yup...that dang squirrel got up the skinny pole and thought it was in heaven....UNTIL I WENT OUT AND shouted at it. Art went out and sprayed it with Baking Spray. PAM. I need to buy a circular collar to put on the pole. It’s nice to be at the kitchen sink and watch the BIRDS fly in for good.

DAVE: Glad you liked the pictures.
Is the mattress one of those new 20” thick ones? Can’t find a mattress these days that you can FLIP like in the old days. Mark and Jill just got a new mattress and it took 8 weeks to get it. Made in Michigan. She said the nice thing is you don’t feel movement when somebody rolls over!

I need to get off of here. Virtual church is about to start.

Rita: How are you two doing? Did you figure out your Florida plans yet?
I have friends that are going to their condos in Sarasota and Naples and North Point. They keep telling us we should still come down. Just not going to happen with all the spiking going on. The restaurants and grocery stores will be crazy the next 5-6 months in Florida. Be very careful while you guys are down there.
Out of here for now. Have a good Sunday all.

Good morning, everyone! I hope your day is off to a great start. Still very quiet around here, as Bert is not out of the bedroom yet. No big hurry, as we don't really have anything important going on around here today.

K2 - I too was going to ask Rita if they've finalized their Florida plans yet. I hope so, as New Year's is only 3 weeks away.
Loved the pictures you posted. There are a few houses in this area that go all out too. They usually post their address on a community section of FB inviting people to come view their displays. One neighborhood has every house done up over the top, but we've never actually gone to see it.
I used to put Crisco on the bird feeder pole to keep the squirrels off. It was great entertainment watching them start to climb the pole only to slide back to the ground over and over.

Lee - I love that the hutch's resident Canadian has the best jokes about lil t. He really should fall on his ass and leave the poor donkey alone. Hard as it is, being on lockdown is the best way to put a clamp on this virus. You can be sure our governor wouldn't ever consider ordering that again. He was one of the governors that was going alone with Texas taking things to the Supreme Court, as well as all the repub representatives. They should all rot in a very hot place!

San - I think you're right about us getting a 3 party system. I can't believe there are so many who are lemmings and will follow their leader wherever he will take them, as long as they keep sending money! Look at the speakers at the rally last night in DC. One congressman-elect got up there and said there is no pandemic and was glad to see all the smiling faces without masks on! Bunch of sickos, if you ask me.

Dave -What the heck kind of mattress did Kathi order that took that long to get? I hope it's not one from lil t's buddy, the pillow guy. I gather this is for your bed. You'll have to let us know, if it was worth the wait. I'm curious.

KC - What are you up to now that you've got all the houses decorated and the Christmas trees up? Did you get a present yet for your community party? I miss doing that this year. Laurie & Ron always did a white elephant gift exchange back when they used to have parties. After having to do most of the work herself, she finally called it quits on having parties. Too bad, because they were fun.

The Christmas dinner at the Grille last night was so delicious and different. This one was catered in by the company that normally catered all Valentine's and Christmas parties. Unfortunately, the community did not support it. :( There was less than 25 people there. One group of 6 canceled at the last minute. I hope they don't give them their money back. I had to bring half my dinner home and almost all of our desserts. I was just too full and will enjoy it today.

Today is the official lighting of our community Christmas tree down by the boat dock. They are also having a craft fair during that time, as well as there will be 4 food trucks. Not sure if we'll go though. Not that big a deal. Only thing I wanted to see was what crafts they have this year.

Wee, guess who has decided to show up here? And now it's time to make something to eat. Not sure if he wants breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Have a wonderful day, everyone! Just made it before noon!!! :)

Good afternoon...I'm going to try to type very slow...and save as I go, so hopefully I will not have a repeat of the other day...

Pat, that's a shame that people did not turn out for the dinner...didn't a group cancel at the last minute last year too? Wonder if it was the same ones? And yes...I got the Christmas gifts bought for the poolie party....I think (hope) next year we are going to do the while elephant exchange instead of everyone buying a gift for everyone else...

Dave, glad to hear Kathi is recovering nicely...I bet that did hurt like heck getting the stiches out...you'd think they could at least spray something to numb it a little bit...
Good luck with the mattress delivery!

Kathie...that was really some fancy light display your neighbors had...hope you said a few extra prayers for us today, as I played hookie and didn't go to church today...
Good luck keeping the squirrels from the feeder...they are determined lil buggers!

Tony, glad to hear you guys got some rain out there...I'm sure Nancy was outside enjoying the cool & damp...

Lee, I really do worry how this is all going to play out with the election...desperate people do desperate things....and he is about as far out of touch with reality as anyone I've ever heard of...NOT a good combination!

I am NOT a happy camper with the US Post Office...I mailed the paperwork to our lawyer in Ohio on Dec. 3rd....it was suppose to arrive on Dec. 7....on the 7th I get notice it's going to be late, but is on the way...Dec. 8th it made it to Detroit....and since then no tracking movement at all....and this is first class mail!!
I mailed a package going to New Hampshire on Dec. 2 and tracking on it doesn't even show it leaving Jacksonville, Fl yet...I put in a request for help on that...and they told me my request was "resolved" because they told me my package is in "transit"...what a joke!
Today is our annual HOA meeting & I officially become a board member...should be interesting...there is always 2 or 3 troublemakers at these meetings who didn't bother to read the rules & covenants before they moved in...and now don't like how things are done...time for me to go figure out some lunch..not very hungry as I made cookies this morning & had to taste test a few of them...later all!

Kathie, forgot to answer your question about Ginger & the tree....at the risk of jinxing myself....the tree arrangement this year seems to be working....she plays with the lower ornaments occasionally...which is fine...they are cloth & she can't hurt them...but she hasn't tried climbing up the tree..of course right now there are presents stacked under there so she can't get up there...I may have to just stack some boxes there after Christmas to keep her out of trouble...

Hello. Taking a break. Made another batch of small cookies that I put some jam inbetween and then roll them in powdered sugar. The longer they stay in the tin container the better they taste. They get nice and soft. Love those and just had to make them.
House is nice and warm after having that oven on in the kitchen.

KC: We had 3 squirrels around the new feeder area cleaning up the seeds that fell on the ground. At least they're doing a good job at that. None tried to get on the pole so far today.
BB: If we put Crisco on the pole up here it would FREEZE and get HARD and then they'd get up that pole for sure. We have to put stuff that doesn't freeze or just find the baffle to put around the pole. Just not going out into the stores to look for it with all the Virus stuff going on. Staying inside as much as possible this week since we will be going to watch ASHLEY graduate on their TV on Saturday. Which also happens to be Mark's Birthday. It's a 2 for 1 deal. Ha Ha.

Art has been BUSY at the kitchen table all morning and now the afternoon reading a notebook written by his Mom of their family history. She was really good at that. She hand wrote things all the way back to her Great Grandmother and how they lived in a town that had 41 people in it. I plan on reading it during the COLD WINTER. She had beautiful handwriting. I still have all the letters that she wrote to Art when he was in the Navy. And the ones he wrote back to her. I only wish MY FAMILY would have written down history like she did.

I bought some Knockwursts at the meat shoppe yesterday and some Sauerkraut. Need to saute some onions and get the sauerkraut cooking for a nice dinner tonight. The longer you cook that sauerkraut the better it tastes. The only down side is the house will smell from it all for at least a day.

KC: I said prayers for ALL of us and then some. Our churches sound system on the Virtual Video was cutting in and out and after I said a few prayers I jumped over to the Serbian Church in Pittsburgh. Excellent sound over there. So you folks are covered for another week.

Time to get a cup of coffee and sit down and watch the Michigan State Basketball game. They're playing the college that Eric goes to! :cheerleader:

Gloomy and cold outside. Don't know how I'm going to make it through the next 4 months or more.:rolleyes:
