Good Morning Wrabbits. Gloomy here in Pure Michigan. Suppose to get MORE SUNSHINE the rest of the week.

Not sure what the heck Art and I will be doing with our TIME this week. It's a ENTIRE WEEK of NO DOCTORS and NO TESTS. Lordy how will the medical field live without our funds this week?? :confusedvb:

I've got the ovens, yes both of them, heating up to make a double batch of those White Wedding cookies. They're addictive. The Poppyseed Rolls I made late yesterday turned out the BEST EVER! Hate to give them away! Ha ha. Same recipe, so I must have just got lucky to get them to turn out so good.

I just got through paying BILLS ONLINE. Hey, somebodies got to keep this place up and running. Waiting for those mandatory withdrawal of funds from IRA's, etc to show up on the accounts. I think one still gets mailed out in check form. Need to change that.

Lee: Sure hope you are feeling better over your way. If necessary you might want to try and get tested for Covid if don't start feeling better soon.

DAVE: I was eating a piece of bread Saturday and CHOMPED down on my lower inside lip. OUCH. I immediately though of Kathi and her stitches. It is amazing how fast the skin in your mouth heals. Hopefully, that's the case for Kathi too. Does she have to get those stitches removed or are they the dissoluble kind?

Take care Bunnies...........I'm off to bake a few dozen cookies!

SAN: Good to see you keeping your 'sister' in line. She can get out of control so fast! It's that JERSEY GIRL in her!! LOL

Good morning folks.
Feeling a tad better today. Thanks for all your good wishes. Not unlike a couple of you other good bunnies colds tend to head to my lungs which doesn’t seem to have happened this time. The pups are like kids. They don’t get that I don’t feel like taking them for a walk.
Another uplifting report on Bill. Thanks Rita!
A guy really needs to brush up on his USN / USMC slang to follow along with Pat and Tony!
I do hope Kathi is feeling better Dave! With cookies in their “gobs” the screamers might be quiet for a bit.
“K2 got a Dell. K2 Got a Dell. Hi ho the dairy-o K2 got a Dell”. Some day Kathie, We’ll get a Mac and a Dyson into your home. None of my symptoms point to COVID. I’m pretty comfortable about that.
Karen, we always joke about having at least one family member or friend who is young enough to drive at night.
Signing off for the day.
All of you stay well!

Good morning to the rest of the hutch on this gloomy day in Florida also. Rain should be moving in in about an hour and then it will just be partly sunny but chilly. It's even chilly in the house!

Slept late this morning. I really needed that after Saturday night. Now I have to play catch up on the things I have to do today. Laundry, baking, just general straightening up all come to mind. I do intend to reward us later though with Chinese takeout. The place we go to has never gone back to opening for sit down eating since everything got shut down months ago and continues to play it safe.

Lee - Glad you're feeling better. Now keep it up. No relapses allowed this time of the year, ya hear?

K2 - I had to laugh at your remark about no doctor visits this week. That made me go check my calendar. Sure enough, I see my pulmonologist on Friday. Oh joy!! Only good part will be that I should get some samples and can skip paying a ridiculous price for a 30 day supply of meds.

Going to cut this short, as that dryer keeps talking to me. Better answer it before it drives me nuts beeping! Have a great day, everyone and stay safe! :)

Pat, I am hoping that you have a really nice day today. I like you and just want the very best for you.

Man, the above was really hard to write, but I faked it and got through it. I am pretty proud of myself.

Get better soon Lee.

Liar! Liar! Pants on fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've really missed our messing with each other on here!

I've only gotten as far as doing laundry. Just not in the mood to do anything else. I have no energy at all today. This really stinks!!! Guess I should have had a cup of coffee this morning. That would have helped, I think.

Time to get going. We need to run to Walgreen's for a prescription. Bye! :)

Good afternoon....

Dave, I can relate to the not much to gab about...I'm begining to feel like I'm in the Ground Hog Day movie....all the days just run together...hope Kathie is feeling better today!

Pat, it has been a dull gloomy day here as well...now that the day is almost over the sun is trying to peek out....sorry you are running on empty today...

Tony, not sure what the overide on the accelator module was...but now another mechanic is telling her he thinks it's the fuel pump....so who knows what the real problem is....nice to see you back in your old form again!!

Kathie, I thought of you yesterday when I made a mini apple/cranberry pie...I baked it mainly to warm the house up a little bit...

Lee, glad to hear you are feeling a little better...keep following all the good medical advice you've received here & you should be fit as a fiddle in no time!

Made it to church yesterday & reminded the Big Guy upstairs what a fine bunch of folks you all were....
Today I had some errands to run...needed to exchange a Christmas gift I'd bought for Barb...of course I pick the wettest part of the day to be out & about...as far as I know now I have NOTHING at all on my schedule for the rest of the week...that would be wonderful....but I'm not going to hold my breath expecting it to stay that way...I really should go toss in a load of clothes...but think I'll save that for tomorrow....catch you all later!

Just about ready to put the dinner on the table. Had to take breather and check out today's CHATTER on here. You folks never seem to disappoint! LOL

KC posted earlier:

Now that's a new excuse to make a mini pie and eat it! You made me laugh KC.

Pork chops in a fresh mushroom gravy w/sweet potatoes and a Stoffers Mac & Cheese is on tap for dinner.

You all keep this fun chatter and banter going. Love it.

Lee: The pups will survive not going for a walk. Let them out in the yard and tell them they're lucky they have a fence so they can roam around!! LOL

I did deliver all the baked goods to the Marie & George (up 24 Mile Rd) They were very appreciative. Can't imagine how they are able to have a smile on their faces with all they're going through worrying about their daughter.

Later gang........those PORK CHOPS aren't going to get on the table without my help!

Well, that just burned my butt. Next time I am in Florida, I am gonna kick your ass.

Saw DiSanto on TV last night. Seems like a lovely guy, you should be proud of him.

Well Kathie, let’s have some banter about how much food and baking you are talking about on here. You must frequent the bathroom a lot.

Karen, didn’t a fault code show up briefly that said the Accelerator module was the cause? I don’t know if there is anything that monitors fuel pump pressure, but it could be a failing fuel pump. How many miles are on her car?

flgirl51

2nd Officer
Tony , as far as I know there was no code showing for any of the guy's who have looked at it so far....the car only has about 36,000 miles....but in doing some online research there seems to be an issue with these vans & not wanting to start...I'm starting to think Barb should have done a little more research herself before she got her heart set on this van...

And I'm sure Pat would agree with me...when I say we would gladly send lil t's shadow on a one way trip to Calif or any place else that is far....far away! But we like you to much to be that evil...

GilroyCA

That made me feel all warm and fuzzy that you will not be sending trump to California.

what is the Van? 36,000 isn’t a lot of miles

Bring it on, sailor boy! We'd be more than happy to have you come visit Florida! We'll gladly trade you our governor with yours, if you think he's such a lovely guy. He's a real sweetheart and would straighten out CA very shortly, as his lord & master requires.

Just finished our Chinese dinner and I am so stuffed. One thing I have to say about this place is that if you do takeout, if you have an average appetite, you are guaranteed to be getting 3 meals out of one order. Not bad for dinners costing $7 to $12.!! I won't have to cook dinner again until G&E come over Thursday night!!

Going to say good night at this point. Temps are going down and I'm ready to get comfy and make that hot buttered rum I wanted the other day. Tonight will be a perfect night for it or a Mexican hot chocolate with Kalua and whipped cream as a second choice. Now to make that decision. I'll let you know tomorrow which one won! Have a wonderful rest of the evening, gang, and sleep well! :)

Tony, Van is a 2013 Chrysler Town & Country....so yeah...the miles are pretty low for a 7 yr old vehical....

Night from Belleview....a bit nippy again tonite...and tomorrow night is supposed to be colder...

Not feeling like yaking much more than I did yesterday. So here goes;

Kathi has to go back to the Stat-Care place to get the stitches taken out of her lip on Friday. It's right at the end of our street. When it was the Moose, sometimes we'd just walk up to the place it's so close.

Happy to hear that your cold is getting better, Lee. And that it hasn't invaded your lungs.

Since AT&T is still fighting with NBC over fees, it looks like no more "Saturday Night Live" for me until they agree on something.

With our county into the purple range with Covid infections, Kathi cancelled her hair appointment for this week. (Purple is worse than a red condition.) It didn't make Kathi too pleased but she knows she did the right thing. Oh the ladies and their hair.

Early last evening we decided to go out and look at people's outdoor Christmas lights. There's an old farmhouse with a very wide front yard that sits in front of our doggy groomer. The last time we were there we saw bunches of deflated Christmas characters laying all along the house and across the yard so we made sure we went by that place. WOW! All inflated and lit up there were way more than 30 of those blow-ups. One was of a horse was just as big as a reaI one. Wish we had taken a picture.

A house on the street behind us was also fantastic. All the different lights looked like they had been put up by a professional. Not just hours, but days. went into a lot of people's displays.

Worth going out for.

Brrrr .... Ggood mmorning from this chilly place. It's 49 (with a wind chill) and is only going up to about 58 today. Tonight is going to be even colder in the 30s! Even with the heat on I am so cold. I broke down this morning and left the sandals in the bedroom and put on my big girl shoes (sneakers) with warm socks. I thin that will be my footwear of choice for the next few days!

And the winner last night was hot buttered rum! Marcia would have been proud of me!!

I have a dilemma this morning and it is tearing me apart. Weird as he is, I really do love my cat, but he is doing things that are dangerous for me. He bites the tube on my oxygen line! This morning he bit a whole in it right next to where I was sitting. I know he did it because he was mad that I wasn't giving him his morning treats fast enough. Bert is going to be furious when I see him to tell him. He's already mad at Cappi for chewing through the line of an electric Christmas dog that we just set up the day before! Bert had to splice the wiring back together, but there seems to still be a problem. He thinks he may have accidentally crossed a wire somewhere. It was getting late, so he didn't redo it last night. Now I get to throw this on his plate also! My dilemma part is whether or not I have to give the word to Bert to take him to the humane society. In all probability he will be put to sleep and that's what's tearing me apart. I just don't know what to do. What a bummer!!!

I've got nothing else this morning. Time to wake up Bert and tell him the bad news.

Pat, I can only imagine how upset you are with Cappi's behavior....before you make the decision to send him to the Humane Society check out some of the Pet rescues on FB....or even in your neighborhood newsletter...they may have someone who is willing to work with him and retrain him....((HUGS)))

Good Afternoon folks. Cold here in Pure Michigan. Thank goodness we have a good furnace!

BB: YIKES....since I'm not a CAT person it wouldn't take me long to figure out what I would be doing with Cappi. BREATHING and LIVING are way high on my list of survival modes. In your case those chewed up oxygen lines are really important to you. Good luck with your decision. I'd try to do what Karen suggested before going to the Humane Society. Never could understand why they call it HUMANE?

SAN: I actually don't eat all these baked goods. I bake and GIVE AWAY most of them. Make a lot of people happy. Too bad you don't live closer, I'd be sure to share with you and your family.
This year I'm not baking half as much since we won't be having the BIG FAMILY HOOP LA Christmas gathering.
Actually, can't wait until Dec 26th to know it's all over for this year. It's just not a FESTIVE HOLIDAY SEASON this year. What with the elections and all the BS the Orange man is spewing every minute of the day. Oh by the way.....if you haven't heard.......HE STILL THINKS HE WON THE PRESIDENCY. The man is a TOTAL WACKO!

DAVE: I think DRIVING to get Kathi's stitches out will be much safer even if it is just down the block!
Now about giving up a hair-cut appointment. Not too sure I could do that. I'd HOLD a DOUBLE MASK up around my nose and mouth and come in with my hair all washed and leave with a big towel around my head so I wouldn't have to have the hair blown out before giving up a HAIRCUT! Ha Ha.
I have a appointment Dec 23rd. :emoticon 0137 clapping: I might skip the haircut part since it's I think I got scalped the last time and it's still too short. But I want the color part done and I need to give "Charles" his Christmas gift! $$$$ I'll see how my hair looks the day before I go in.

I have to make sure to get a few pictures of this one house not far from ours. The folks must have more money to burn that is possible these days. They have a HUGE outdoor display and people are stopping by and getting out and taking pictures with their kids in front of the house. I just have to remember to go when it gets dark and the lights are on. I should do a BEFORE and AFTER for you folks. LOL

Okay, time to put on a sweatshirt. I refuse to turn up the heat when I can just put on a sweatshirt.

Lee , Negc hope you guys are feeling better each day.

SAN: You better behave or you'll end up with COAL in your Christmas stocking. Your sister is going to beat your skinny butt one of these days.

That reminds me........I really should at least put out the Christmas Stockings on the fireplace.

Later gang.

you should be fit as a fiddle in no time!
Considering my size and shape it would be more like a stand up base. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
Good afternoon everyone;
Oh
Pat. Is there anything that you could spray on cords and the tube (like a bitter apple) available at pet stores that may keep Cappi away from them? Just another thought from a pet owner. Good on you for keeping those toes warm. Although with your warm heart I'm surprised that you needed the socks. :emoticon 0152 heart:
Yep Tony, that's me sucking up to Pat. And we're not even heading south next year. The way this virus and projected vaccines are going it may not even be in 2022.
Our Grand Caravan is a 2013 Karen. It has a tick over 162000 miles on it. Come to think of it I had a starting problem that was as the result of, of all things, the fuel filler cap not sealing the system properly. I swapped out the cap and the problem was solved! Wonder if that could be the issue with the Town and Country?
Likely a good call with the hair dresser Dave. Hard as that is for women. I suspect that you will use the on line grocery ordering again this week? Oddly enough we did not go into lock down but frankly that would be the best thing! There are lots fo outdoor decorations here too. We hear that it's because people are really suffering from covid restrictions and just want to brighten up not only their lives but others as well.
It was a bright sunny start to the day on the sane side of the border Kathie. We had a delightful stroll along the river with Katie and Ava. Then this afternoon we ventured to Costco and stocked up on stuff so we don't need to go until next year. Literally! While we were out we stopped at Starbucks and I redeemed by Cyber Monday coupon for a slice of their seasonal Ginger loaf. Dang that stuff is good!
Should run. The pups look forward to their time out doors at 4:00. Yep, they have me trained!
You all be good. Stay safe, OK?

Good evening....it was pretty chilly here for most of the day...and going to be even colder tonite...

Lee, glad to hear you are feeling better....I don't think Barb's problem was gas cap related.....if it was it turned out to be an expensive gas cap...she had a guy work on it today...apparently it's a known problem and the "proper" fix is a $1,100 repair....the mechanic said that Chrysler was doing some kind of "work around" with the relay which was a $350 fix....she took the $350 fix....it seemed to have taken care of the problem because she drove around all afternoon with no problems..

Kathie, I look forward to seeing the pictures of the Christmas lights...some of the houses in my area are done up pretty nice too...but nothing as fancy as that...

Dave, sorry that Kathi has to cancel her hair appt. but as you said...it was the right call..as careful as you 2 have been thru all this you don't want to be taking chances now...

Pat, I hope Cappi was properly regretful for his bad behavior over the last couple days and starts behaving better....do they make cat muzzles? Maybe he needs one for a few days to get over that biting behavior....or maybe as Lee said something bitter or hot to spray on the wires....

Well....finally a bright spot in my Dad's estate....I sent the Ohio lawyer an email this morning to tell him the paper work was on the way...but USPS tracking was showing it was delayed...I also told him how Wendy had signed her form and asked if that would be a problem...and he said No, it shouldn't be a problem....I felt like a 1,000 lb weight had been lifted off my shoulders...he has the Florida paperwork & said as soon as he get's mine he will file them with the court in Ohio.... it will be so good to get this finally over & done with...and I have no idea how I managed to get everything slanted like this....but I did...
