Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

No matter how many mass shooting there are.
…including one more it seems in Tulsa and a thwarted attempt at planning another at a California high school.

It really is hard to believe that HRH Queen Elizabeth II has been on the throne for SEVENTY years. Heck, Lu-Ann wonders where I’ve gotten too if I’m “on the throne” for more than five minutes! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: Oh come on now. You had to figure I’d come up with that reference.
After yesterday being so danged hot and humid we haven’t even seen 60F yet today. It was a good day for the parks workers to be planting the flower beds at The Navy Yard. Ava figured that they were all on their knees to play with her.

THIS JUST IN… Lu-Ann just read that Momma Bunny is home.
:minion happy:
If any time is coffee time then it must be any time.
Have a fantastic Thursday folks.

Guess I'm glad I don't live next to your neighbor, Dave. And to think that I sometimes complain when the lawn crew starts mowing outside our bedroom window at 8am.
NBA Finals begin to night with the Celtics out in SF for the first two games. If they actually end up winning the series it will be a record 18 championships for the franchise. Red would be proud of them. When you mentioned that smoking used to be allowed in the sports venues, K2, it reminded me that when smoking was finally prohibited in Boston Garden, there was an exemption that allowed Red Auerbach to light up his victory cigar when a Celtics win was imminent.

Good Afternoon Wrabbits.

Shooting Enough Is Enough GIF by INTO ACTION

I'll be the first to let you know I'm in a foul mood over YET ANOTHER SHOOTING. The Tulsa news report by the Police chief was done with such dignity. If you get a chance to listen to the entire broadcast do it. I can only hope that TEXAS was watching it and learned how to present a report to the public after a mass shooting takes place. Tulsa had it's FACTS in ORDER from the start.
And the fact that YET ANOTHER 'person' could walk into a gun shop and buy a assault weapon and use it the same day or next day (not positive which) is another reason they should be BANNED OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH not just the USA.

But we all know too well by now that NOTHING will come of YET ANOTHER mass shooting. It never does.
And YES, I'm talking to the wrong people about this. You already know all this.

I saw that PAT posted she was coming home today! Yippee. Welcome back!

My blood pressure is high after watching the news report on Tulsa murders.
I'm going outside to trim some bushes and try to CHILL OUT.

I'll be back when I am more sociable!

Good afternoon. After my shower this morning I went to Walmart for just 3 or 4 things and came home with a bunch more. Bought 4 new plants and pots for them so after getting home I repotted them and 2 other plants.

K2, there is a Kohl's about 8 or 10 miles from me but the UPS store is just 2 or so, so printing a label after requesting the return and putting it on the package then dropping it off is much easier, and as soon as Amazon gets confirmation from UPS I get my refund.

Hope Pat is home and taking it easy.

Hopefully as soon as we get enough Democrats in Congress maybe then we can get a real good gun ban on record. I am talking about any kind of automatic rifle and high capacity magazines for any kind of gun. Those things are only needed by the military when in combat. And to me any ban must include making anyone who has any of the rifles and magazine turn them in. And if they don't and get caught with one then a large jail time.

Well all have a great day.

How did you make out at the dentist Dave? As our neighbourhood nears completion we are glad that the construction sounds are starting to be fewer.
I hope that your day has improved Kathie. It seems harder and harder to avoid the news. And they tell us that if you can avoid the news it’s better for your health.
I often wonder how many ”scammers“ print return labels and drop off empty Amazon packages knowing the the carrier scan generates the refund Nancy.
I do think that the lawn guys should vary their starting points in your complex Bill. That way everyone gets a chance to have early “wake-up calls”.
The “OGC’s” (Old Guy Contractors) that built our fences have to scope out a deck job tomorrow morning. Our friends who just had an on ground pool put in need a deck put around about half of it. The deck will soar a whole 24 inches above the ground. We’re going to stake and run string to get an idea which of the two proposals they may like.
You all be good, ya hear.

I’m writing smaller and quieter so I don’t wake any of the rest of you up.
Night Sleep GIF

Morning Bunnies!

Not very gabby today.

I just loved your "throne" joke, Lee. A deck only 24 for inches off the ground. Making stairs for that will be a piece of cake.

Hope you chilled out K2, after getting worked up about another mass shooting. Although I can understand how difficult that would be.

Nuts, a small cavity was found at the dentist yesterday. It's been a looong time since I've had a cavity.

It's suppose to be sunny but cool this morning, so I hope to plant a flat of posies I bought yesterday.

Hiya BB!

How about them Celtics? Wish I could say that, despite being very tired and them being down by 15 points early in the second half, we stayed up and watched them turn things around and ultimately win by a score of 120 to 108, but we didn't and woke up to that pleasantly shocking news this morning. They still need to repeat that effort three more times to win the championship but the future looks much brighter this morning.
Outside, though, it doesn't look brighter but is rather gloomy and overcast.
Glad that Pat is back home and hope she is relaxing and letting Bert and her family can handle things while she recuperates.

Good afternoon. Well since we are going to be getting rain from this afternoon/evening thru tomorrow I went and filled up the SUV. On my way there I stopped at Beall's and bought a new carryon this is a hard shell and I think it will be better.

All have a great day.

Lost a post, so just going to say Hi...last few days have been stressful...nothing major wrong...just stress...catch up with you all tomorrow

I know the feeling Karen. And to quote a wise person on this board…
“funks come & funks go...but the bunny hutch will be around for a good long time”. The same can be said about those who are feeling stressed. Hugs headed your way.
Plain or patterned hard sided case Nancy? Some of them have really nice designs.
About the upcoming pool deck… I think we have our work cut out for us.
I do hope you are all having a better day than yesterday and tomorrow will be even better!

Hi WRABBITS!
Karen: I know how stress feels and hope you can resolve yours soon. Hugs to you my friend.

Got up and mixed up a batch of Crepe batter and let it sit for a few hours. The batter is always better if you do that.

Went outside and took down the BIG alum ladder and got the Sargent's Crab tree all trimmed.
Then did the 5 shrubs under it.
Made us Egg Salad sandwiches. I usually never eat lunch, but thought I better after all my work. After lunch....
Art cleaned up the clippings off the scrubs and tree for me. HATE that JOB.

I watered all the plants around the house. Lordy, our water bill will be a dozers if this heat keeps up.

I came inside and made 26 crepes.
Some are going to Elaine & her daughter (Stacey who is in town from California).
We'll deliver them after we go and get something to eat at the Greek Restaurant. Too tired to cook.

Lee: Sure hope you BOYS work EARLY when the heat isn't around on that deck project. And take WATER breaks too.

Nancy: I think you're over-thinking this Alaska trip. You're buying a lot of stuff for it. But if it makes you feel better prepared then go for it.

PAT: We know you're home........now get on here and give us a UPDATE on what the heck they did to you.

DAVE: Bummer on that CAVITY, but with all the stuff you eat and the pop you drink you're lucky to have lasted without a filling all these years. Nice report on Kathi's eyes.

I'm out of here. All showered and cleaned up. Feels good. Still not in the best of moods, but I'm working on it.

Be safe gang.

Good evening. The new suitcase has Flamingos on it. I do feel that the hard side will actually be better and I can't make it too thick.

All have a good night.

I don't know about you, but I'm getting a kick out of all the pageantry happening at the Queens Platinum Jubilee. Those Brits sure know how to throw a party.

My goodness, you Bunnies in the liquid sunshine state are in for quite a day. Time to get out those yellow raincoats. (I wonder if they still make those things.)

It was nice to see that 8th grade girl win the National Spelling Bee yesterday. That kid is smarter than me. I haven't ever heard of some of these words that the kids had to spell. Here's 3 of them; Ornithorhynchus, pyrrolidone, & chorepiscopus.

We've started setting record highs for the price of gas, here in Ohio. Here, it's $4.79 a gallon at the moment.

I did get my flat of posies planted yesterday. Didn't realize that there's 48 of them in a flat. I went to buy my usual red Salvia, but they were sold out. So I settled on Amigo Mix Celosia. Good choice? Will soon find out.

Try and have a good one, my friends.

Good morning Wrabbits. Sitting on the deck and it’s a tad chilly under the awning, but feels so fresh and nice to be here watching the birds come and go at the feeders!
Saw Hummingbirds at the Honeysuckle bush yesterday. Beautiful tiny bird.

Good morning everyone.
Like “Pure Michigan” Kathie, it was a tad cool this morning. But a beautiful temperature for our walk along the river. How was dinner at The Greek place?
We sat out back in the sun (the back faces the east) with a coffee and it was quite warm! I cut the front yard and then we walked around the new builds just behind us. Stupid huge homes with equally stupid huge price tags.
Gas at the Shell in town was $2.08 a litre this morning Dave. With all the conversions I reckon that’s about $6.22 US for a US gallon. Yep, pageantry and warm beer. The Brits seem to enjoy both.
I suspect a flamingo hard sided case will stand out in AK Nancy.
OK Momma Bunny. They did your legs not your typing fingers. Please let us know how you’re doing.
The gang is meeting for lunch at The Lord Amherst Pub and Wine Bar downtown. Because of COVID we haven’t been there yet. It’s supposed to have good food.
I hope all of you have as nice a day as we plan to.

Enjoy your lunch, Lee. Always nice to find a new place to dine, especially if the food and the atmosphere are good.
Rita's new RAV4 arrived and is now sitting in our garage. I dropped her off at the dealership around 1:30 yesterday and she was there until nearly 6 pm getting the paperwork completed mostly because our insurance company twice sent the wrong papers to the dealer. In fact I had two calls from the insurance company within a ten minute period, both times giving them permission to add the new car to our policy. When I told the young woman who called that I had spoken to her or someone who sounded like her ten minutes earlier and given permission, she claimed that she hadn't called earlier and did not know who it could have been.
Eventually the correct paperwork got transferred to the dealership and Rita was able to drive home. The time between when she ordered the car and when it arrived at the dealership was less than originally estimated, so we are no longer a one car family and I will be able to drive myself to NH at the end of next week for my fishing trip and not worry that Rita is stranded at home without a car.
Shortly after she arrived home, Kevin and Jamie and the kids stopped by to deliver Rita's birthday card and pick up the anniversary card we had for them. (Both birthday and anniversary occurred while they were away.)
They left and Rita and I decided to go out for dinner since neither of us had eaten since breakfast. We went to a restaurant not far from our house and while we were waiting to be seated, Kevin came over and invited us to join them. Seems we both had the same idea about getting something to eat and ended up at the same place, somewhere that none of us regularly go to. Kismet, I guess.

Good afternoon. Well since yesterday afternoon we have gotten just under 2 inches of rain and it is looking pretty nice right now. Of course we may get more.

Last night I transferred the things from the first carryon to the one I bought yesterday and the new one is going to be perfect. Having both the top and the bottom to put things in is great. And I won't have to expand it.

Got forms in the mail from the bank about the
fraudulent charges and I have filled them out and they are ready for the mail on Monday.

Our Granddaughter-in-law's birthday is next week so I ordered some thing from Amazon and having them sent to Jennifer and they have made delivery changes because of the weather, but everything will get there before the birthday.

All have a great day.

I’m back on the deck and enjoying the sounds of the 1st Saturday of the month. That would be a Air raid sound the communities blast off. Scary that my first thought wasn’t about it being a regular test, but it made me think of Ukraine. Those poor souls hear that sound all the time. God protect them all.

Negc: Wow…4.5 hours to pick up a car. Somebodies HEAD needs to roll for that to happen. Yikes. I would have asked for 3 free oil changes, unless they already come with that at that dealership.

On the other hand, CONGRATS TO RITA ON GETTING HER NEW CAR! Nothing like a new car to make your wait worth it. Safe travels Rita. Keep the radio off and pay close attention to the road! :)

Lee: Dinner was good. I had some type of Lavash wrap with turkey, avocado, bacon ( Just one piece) and lettuce & tomato. It was folded and then grilled. Nice change….just too big for me. Our visit to drop off crepes to Elaine and daughter was really nice. We got Elaine to realize she REALLY NEEDS TO GET HEARING AIDS! You could hear the TV when we came to the door. Poor Stacey, being such a calm good daughter, deals with it. YIKES.
Elaine took our Hearing Aids suggestions very well. Said she’ll but it on her list of things to do! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Karen…..HELLO over your way. Did you see all the flooding in the streets of Miami from that storm. How are you holding out by you?

Pat: You back in the Hospital again getting your TYPING FINGERS CHECKED OUT?:emoticon 0104 surprised::emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

I took some videos of the yard and will post them here. Skip over them if they’re of no interest to you folks. It was just so quiet and I still had my robe on and loved walking through the yard all relaxed for a change.
OOPS…. Video’s didn’t transfer to this iPad from the cell phone for some reason. I’ll show you some stuff from the front of the house.

The sign is because the neighbor across the street has a nasty sign saying:
”WE HAVE A IDIOT FOR A GOVERNOR”! The sign basically faces our way and I can’t stand looking at it everyday. This is the family that is totally GOP and doesn’t believe in getting vaccinated. Geez!
Other pics are from my trimming project, etc.

Feel free to skip over! Sorry the quality is so bad. I used my iPad and it never comes out real sharp and clear. 2E1A9EED-EA27-4F25-ADF3-9471A738A11E.jpegE7AD7AB5-6576-475B-8839-EE5B6EC2477F.jpeg7F8C80A4-AA3E-4033-90CD-A2F930A33DC0.jpegB72735A0-471D-4692-8E93-116E1E807CF7.jpeg74DE524A-1E86-4575-896A-7EBB8126279D.jpeg
