Wow…talk about taking advantage of this group by posting so many pictures. Ha ha. You’re lucky the videos aren’t on this iPad. Ha ha.

Good Sunday morning Bunnies!

What a grand group of pictures of posies and ornaments, K2. Thanks for posting them.
"Geez, they were just pictures of nature not nudes." As if that's a bad thing???
1f601.png

I just don't understand why all these Republican state and federal legislators want more and more people to be armed.

Good God Bill, waiting 4 1/2 hours to be handed over the car you bought by a dealership is NUTS. I'd have left after 1 hour telling them to come pick me up at home when they and the insurance company get things straightened out. I agree with you on not just having one car. Whenever your spouse is using one, the other spouse is grounded. Plus if an emergency happens, there isn't diddley you can do about it to get to it.

Stand-out luggage is what we have too Nancy. Easy to spot on airport conveyor belts and reduces the chances of theft of your distinctive luggage too.

Lee; "Stupid huge homes with equally stupid huge price tags." I wonder if they said that about your house when you were building it. YIKES on the price you have to pay for gasoline.

KC, I'm guessing that today you are more likely to get pruney than sunburnt.

BB!!!

Kathi and I both have a hankering for some bacon, so in a bit we're heading off to the International House of Pancakes. I don't know what she's ordering, but I'm going to get a BLT sandwich. The second best in town. Arby's makes the best.

This might just be what I do today! KNIT. It's overcast and feels like it might just rain! We could use a nice soaking and then just let it stop!
With the PRICE of gas at $5 bucks Plus a gallon, I don't see too much driving around in the country or out to Lake St Clair to look for freighters anytime soon.

KAREN: You and PAT are needed back in the HUTCH ASAP! Come girls, it takes a FULL HUTCH to keep this place running. And I don't want to be the one to say anything, but there are a few too many "dust bunnies" that need to get cleaned up around here! Hint, hint.

DAVE: I'm with you about that 4.5 hour wait to get my car. Heck, they'd have to buy me dinner and give me free oil changes if I stayed there that long.

Now that is one of my favorite sandwiches. But I have to wait until the Michigan Farmer's Tomatoes show up. Hate those Hot House blah tomatoes in that sandwich. And who knew that ARBY'S made a BLT. Might have to
actually try that one day.

That's it for now folks. Stay
diligent with being COVID AWARE. Enjoy your day.

Good morning. Well the storm for us was not too bad, most of the rain happened over night. Miami got it bad with many flooded streets.

K2, your garden is very nice.

All have a great day.

NO RAIN so far! (1:00 pm)

Art and I worked around the front of the house today. Art loosened up the ground around all the shrubs and plants and picked out a bucket of weeds from around the shrubs.
I watered the areas in the grass that I seeded to keep them nice and moist in hopes the seeds will grow.
Fertilized all the Impatient plants and Petunias, etc, etc.
Shook some Preen around everything to try and keep the WEEDS at bay.

Going to take the shopping list and go to the grocery store and then the Veggie Mkt.

Negc: So tell us, how does RITA like her new car? What color is it? Did you say it was a Hybrid? I know you guys like those.

Lee: Did the folks that want the new deck pick a choice yet? Hope it was the EASIEST of the ones you guys offered to do.

10:30 a.m. Cardiologist appt. (1 yr appt) I'll find out about the "STRESS TEST". Like it really matters after 3 weeks! I keep track of my blood pressure readings and they're UP and DOWN. I still feel light headed at times when I bend down or am standing in the kitchen. They never give me a good answer as to WHY. Hate that. Personally, I think if I could get 8 good hours of sleep it might help. Sorry to bore you all with my Bi --ching! HaHa. :emoticon 0101 sadsmile:

Okay, those groceries aren't going to get bought by me sitting on this computer.

Later............

Nancy, thanks for your kind comment on our garden. It gets harder every year to keep it up.
I don't know how you manage with all the plants you have been buying and potting. :emoticon 0100 smile:

The problem was on the insurance company's end, not the dealership.
The car is a silver RAV4 hybrid and it should serve us well. MPG is estimated at 40 mpg which is not as good as my Prius' 52 MPG but much better than her previous RAV4 and with its larger gas tank it has a range of about 600 miles. The Prius smaller tank has a range of about 400 between fill ups.
Watched the spectacular Queen's Jubilee party on TV last night and the special effects displayed on Buckingham Palace were amazing.
I know it wouldn't be a good idea to disrupt whatever harmony exists in your neighborhood, K2, but it must be very tempting[ to put a sign on your lawn that states: "Our neighbor is an idiot"

K2 it is easy as I pretty much ignore except to water when it has not rained.

Well I am ticked off.
We went to Windsor for “Art in the Park”. I wandered around for two hours and I didn’t see Art or Kathie! What a rip off!
Actually Dave, we have one of the only bungalows in the neighbourhood. These new builds are, honestly, mini flippin’ mansions. Still on postage stamp sized lots…I reckoned gas was expensive yesterday yet it was up this morning to $1.16.9 a litre in the town between here and Windsor.
Those prices and the ones coming make a nice small hybrid like Rita’s Toyota sound like a good idea Bill. The restaurant was OK but the kitchen service was terribly slow. Shawna, our server, was excellent but she was let down by the back of the house. At the end of the day it was a nice lunch out for the eight of us.
I have to agree with the rest of the group Kathie. And I’ve said it before. You have a beautiful garden. No, Jim and Gail haven’t decided on a pool deck yet. They are having their concrete patio poured this week and want to decide on the deck once it’s finished.

I still feel light headed at times
On behalf of Tony I will let that line pass…
It sounds like you have an ideal “low maintenance“ type of garden Nancy.
Hoping to hear from our other two Belles before I call out the RCMP…
Take care my friends.

Checking in from Belleview...I've been having internet problems the last few days. Had to keep rebooting the modem & router, this morning the modem would not reboot no matter how many times I unplugged it & plugged it back in. The guy at Spectrum said he could see where my system was shutting down multiple times a day. And I told him it was a new set up. He had me run the Ethernet cord from the back of the router to my laptop to see if it would connect, which it did so he is sending a tech out tomorrow between 10-11 with a new modem...right now I have a 50 ft cable running from the back of the router to my laptop in the bedroom, I may just end up skipping the "wireless" system & stay with that...at least it doesn't kick me off 10 times a day...and that's my tale of woe for tonite...

Boo-Hoo! I'm sad to see the end of Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee. It was a hoot!

I got a big kick out of the video of the Queen having tea with the Paddington Bear. Funny and adorable at the same time.

And seeing the Queen's gold carriage in the parade looked like something out of a fairy-tale.

Hardly anyone is being diligent with "being COVID AWARE", K2. Even though cases of it are on the rise again. When we went to WalMart to pick up a prescription, Kathi and I were the only ones in the whole place wearing masks.

Silver is a great color for any car, Bill. It hides a lot of dirt.

Lee; I didn't remember that your house is a bungalow. 3 bedroom?

Isn't technology a joy KC?

It should be a dry day here today. And it will probably be another noisy one. On Saturday the crew came next door and tore up a lot more concrete and stacked it in piles. So today I expect it to be dropped into their dump truck. No need to set an alarm clock around here.

Good Quick Morning. Got that appt to get ready for! DUH!

Negc: Thanks for the info on Rita's car. Sound like a keeper for sure. I like Silver. Had 2 of them. I think I've had every color..... well, maybe not every color. Ha Ha. All the best to her driving it.

Lee: I just knew YOU would say something about what Tony might have said about me being "Light Headed" when I wrote it, but left it on anyways. Always, enjoy testing you. Ha ha.
Sorry you missed "Art in the Park"! He must have zoomed by on his bike. Next time.
That's for the kind words on our yard. It's getting harder to keep up as we grow older, but it keeps ARTIE very busy.

Learned yesterday that a life-long friend had a heart attach and they did 2 angioplasties and he is home and doing very well. Modern technology at it's best. This guy is so CALM and even tempered it's hard to believe this happened to him. I sent our best wishes for his recovery to his wife in a memo and can't wait to learn what his symptom's were. Art always likes to know how it happened so he can be warned and alert.

Welcome Back GIF by MINI
Hope the computer issues work out for you. Hate when that happens.

Dave: Keep wearing those masks. I was one of very few wearing it in the grocery store yesterday. PRICES and gone UP just since my last shopping spree. It's just
unbelievable. My bill was $80 some bucks and that was with $20 dollars of SAVINGS in coupons and digital deals. I don't know how that family of Kathi's son does it with all those 7-8 kids. Crazy.

Out of here for now. Later gang.

SURPRISE!!!!! Finally getting a chance to post on here. Nothing exciting to talk about. If anything, I have been getting a lot of sleep since I got home and that's a good thing, right? G&E are over at the coast for a few days. We haven't seen them since last Thursday. You don't realize how quiet it is here when Bert's in the computer room, and I'm in the kitchen.

I need to get a few things done around here right now. Time to take another dose of pain meds, but I wanted to at least drop by to say hello. I really have missed you all. Got the visiting nurse schedule to drop by, so I guess it's time to get back to work. I'll try to stop back later. Love you all!!

SOOOO very glad to see you pop by Pat. It goes without saying that we all miss you. Sending lots of love and hugs your way! Feel way better soon.
I imagine the tech will be able to get you set up on your wireless network in no time Karen. Again, thanks for letting us know how you’re doing.
I hope your friend continues to do well Kathie. It absolutely boggles my mind what the medical community is able to do! There were a couple of fellows on bikes but when I yelled “Hi Art” neither one of them looked up.
We have a 1650 sq ft bungalow Dave. It is a three bedroom BUT we use the front bedroom as an “office” with our desktop Mac in there. Our lot is about 52‘ wide by 130’ deep. Which is about what our backyard in Ayr was! We are far enough apart, about 16’, that we cannot pass a cup of coffee to our neighbours through open windows. I reckon you can with these huge mini mansions on lots not much bigger than ours!
There were precious few masks in evidence at Art in The Park. Me included. But being as I’m generally not social I stayed away from pretty much everyone. The funniest story I can relate is our friend who is, admittedly, very much a Covid-phobe, standing in a crowd of unmasked people to sample dips. This is the same person who won’t even go into an empty Starbucks without a mask.
How are the early reviews, now she’s had a bit of a chance to drive it, from Rita on her Rav Bill?
I was looking at our hard sided carry on cases Nancy. They have some great scrapes, scratches and marks to remind us of the places we’ve been.
Games day today so I best get tidied up after we played pickleball this morning.
You fine people all have a wonderful day.

Good afternoon. Did not get to sleep until after 2 so slept until after 9. No plans for today.

Lee I don't expect many bruises on my hard side case as it is my carryon.

The race yesterday was pretty good.

All have a great day.

Yes Nancy, our hard sided cases are supposed to be carry on but…we have been on some smaller aircraft where there is no room for carry on. So, it gets stowed and abused just like real luggage!

The RAV 4 gets excellent reviews from both of us. As a passenger, the ride even on our less than smooth roads, was extremely smooth and comfortable and we are becoming more familiar with all the bells and whistles that it comes with.
Took it for a drive to a casino in Rhode Island and, partly because the casino is expanding, the parking situation was less than optimal and we ended up with a
long, long walk from the car to the building and an equally long walk from the entrance to the casino floor itself. I was pretty much breaking even until it was time to go, when I saw a machine that I sometimes have good luck with. I still had a voucher with about $40 on it and decided to play it down to $30 before cashing out, finding Rita, and heading out. Well it was down to a little more than $35 when I won 15 free games and then the fun began. During those free games, I hit combos that paid $64, $48, $124 and assorted other amounts and ended up winning more than $400. Knowing enough to quit while I was ahead, I cashed out and Rita and I headed for the exit. Because of all the construction and different entrances and exits it took a while to find the car but eventually we did and then we went to our favorite Providence restaurant for a great meal. All in all a great, if unusual, experience.
