Huge Congrats to you Negc! Nice win for sure.

Now if you paid about $65 bucks for a FILL-UP of GAS, you might get 6 tankful's! That's only if Rita paid for that dinner at your favorite Providence Restuarant! Now put that money in a jar and keep it for gas fill-ups or you'll just dribble it away! Ha Ha.

Well, we got the much waited for call from the cabinet man and they will be delivered sometime on Friday.

The contractor might start on Monday according to the Cabinet man!  That means I will be super busy removing all the stuff out of the cabinets the next few days. PLEASE say a prayer that I live through this project. It's a Biggy. Total gut job. Whose idea was this anyways?

Cardiology appt went well. 45 mins wait.
Then EKG.
Then 15 mins talking to the
Physician Assistant.
Then the "REAL DOCTOR" shows up and reviews everything and answered all my questions very nicely, never rushing me then she changed one medicined to be taken at night and eliminated one medicine, and in 8 mins I was on my way. Very
efficient. :)
FYI: Stress test was fine.

It took me longer to wait at the "CHECK-OUT DESK" than it did the entire appt. Ha Ha.

Okay, back to my planning of where I will put everything.

Good Tuesday morning Rabbits!

A DElight hearing from you BB and staying alive. Now that the surgery is over, hows about some details. Like how many stints were put in, and if you can feel a difference in your leg. And any other little details you'd like to add.

Good show at the casino, Bill. And on being smart enough to take your winnings and run.

A LOT of people would love to have a home office as big as a bedroom, Lee. And thanks for some more details on your house. It fills things in a bet when we are trying to mentally picture your house in our minds.

Yesterday we passed the $5 mark for a gallon of gas. On the news they said that it's around $12 a gallon in parts of Europe.

It's suppose to be a rainy day today, so the workers next door stayed on the job last night until it was getting dark. Around 8:30 to 9.

The back-up warning beepers of the equipment was starting to drive Kathi crazy by that time.

Stay safe today, Bunnies.

Good morning. Got a good full nights sleep. Just wish this could happen every night.

Last evening a bit after 6 they put us in a Tornado watch as one had been spotted northwest of us and the storm was heading towards us. The watch time was extended and a bit after 7 the rain started, an hour later it stopped with us getting 3.19 inches, way more than enough. Today the rain is supposed to start at noon, so will see.

Yesterday afternoon I cleaned off the roll top desk and got two bags of garbage and two bags for the Salvation Army.

Last evening I had Bruce call Max and ask if he wanted to stay with us after their mini vacation here at the beach and he said yes, for a week. He wants to something fun so I have made a reservation at Benihana's for Bruce's birthday for the 3 of us. He will also work with Bruce some to earn money.

Yesterday I had to call the Dr to have them send in a new Rx for one of the pills I take and was pleasantly surprised when it was a record of a guy answering and with a new menu and when I pressed for Rx a person actually answered and took the info and said they would send it in. I then called Publix to renew a different Rx and I has problem so I was connected with the pharmacist and was told it would be ready later this morning. So I guess I will pick up this afternoon. The one thing is I don't know how much it will cost as Publix is now charging for drugs that they had not been charging for and I don't know if our not having to pay was due to our insurance or Publix not charging. So will see,

Just had a call from Bruce's cardiologist and they are going to see about changing him to one of the new blood thinners, she said if the Dr agrees then she will do what she can to see if the drug company will help with the cost.

Yesterday afternoon a high school friend posted in a message to a bunch of people that her husband had died that morning. John was about 15 years older and he had dementia and could not take care of him anymore. So I have a card in the mail for her.

Everyone have a great day.

I don’t know where today went!
Walked the pups by the river, grabbed a Starbucks on our way to Costco, took Ava to the vet to get her nails trimmed (I can do Katie’s), walked the pups again, cut the front lawn, dinner and poof, it’s after 06:00 pm.
What amazed me was how busy Costco was at 9:30 on a Tuesday.

Yesterday afternoon I cleaned off the roll top desk and got two bags of garbage and two bags for the Salvation Army.
And hopefully you didn’t mix them up! ;) Sorry to hear about the gentleman’s passing Nancy.
As I recall Dave, the spare bedroom we use for the office is about 10’ x 10’. I never get it when “they” tell us things like the gas prices here and abroad. It still doesn’t make me feel any better about the out of control prices here.
Congrats on both the the good news from the tests and the call about your cabinets Kathie. It seems like you have waited forever to get them.
I trust the rest of the gang is having a great Tuesday.

Good Evening Wrabbits. WOW, busy day for a lot of us.

Nancy, so sorry about your friend passing. May he RIP
Good job on cleaning and pitching STUFF. Hope the possible new meds will do the trick for Bruce.

PAT: Good to read you're hanging in there and can post more often. Hope the pain eases up soon. Hope the visiting nurse was of some help to you.

KAREN: How did you fair with the RAIN. Nancy seems to have gotten a lot.
And how is Scooter doing these days?

Dave: Nice song. Always liked that one from the BeeGee's. Our gas at Kroger went up to $5.49 today. It was even higher at places as I drove to the Dr's office/ :emoticon 0101 sadsmile:

Got into the Oncology office and only had to wait 10 mins to get called back for Blood Work. Then back to the waiting room to wait to get into room to see the Doctor. That only took 5 mins. WOW... a miracle. She was in the room within 3 mins. Then back to the waiting room to wait for my shot!
Well, that's when the REAL WAIT started. Had to wait 1 hour to get a lousy poke. I asked why when the nurse called my name. She said they had to wait for the Calcium numbers to show up. They do the labs on this nifty machine in house. Well, why hasn't it taken that long all the other times. I'm not buying it at all. I think somebody forgot to put he drawn vials in the machine! o_O

Long story short labs were good. She changed me taking one med from morning to night. Big deal! Can't wait until I don't have to take that darn pill anymore.

NEGC:
Are you out spending your WINNINGS today? Ha Ha.

I spent a few hours going to a couple of Tile Places looking for backsplash tile while I was on that side of town. (gotta save gas) Well, I got a lot of nice samples and thought I had the color and style of tile all picked out. Then I came home and saw on my notes that I went to the WRONG TILE Shoppe. The contractor has a couple that he gets a discount at. Lordy this is going to drive me crazy. I'll be able to open my own tile shoppe by the time I get done with this project. So I need to go to the RIGHT place tomorrow.

Debating whether to get a push button that is on the top of the quartz for the In-Sink-rator.
Not sure I really need it. The switch on the wall is quite a ways from the sink, but I'm worried about the
safety factor of that push button being so close to the faucet, etc. I think we'll just use the wall switch like we have been for 30 some years.

Sorry to go on and on about the remodel. I promise to stop soon.;):D

Out of here for now. I'll post a before picture of how we expanded the dining room table to hold a lot of the STUFF from the kitchen area. That room is going to be packed. I just got it all cleaned up.

Have a nice evening. It's 70F here and sunny with big clouds and a tad windy. We did get to eat dinner out on the deck. That's 2 days in a row. Had to have a sweat shirt on.

Later.

K2 right now it is if the Dr approves of Bruce going to a different blood thinner and then is yeas whether the drug company will work with us on the cost, right now with our insurance it would be almost $300 a month and we can't afford that. My one drug, inhaler, today cost $140 but that is for 3 inhalers so that is not too bad, just over $46 for one and it usually last me for almost or over 2 months.

All have a good night.

Nancy: It just doesn’t seem fair that you and others have to pay that much for drugs that are needed for your health. Hope the drug company can be of some help when and if Bruce gets the kay for the new meds.

Humid here tonight. Showers late Wednesday.

I worked on getting some of the cabinets packed up in boxes and plastic containers. I was able to pitch a lot of outdated stuff in the spice rack. And stuff from a top shelf that should have been thrown out a LONG time ago.
More to do tomorrow.

Art removed the new shutters in the bay sink area. I put up sheets of white heavy paper so my poor neighbor doesn’t have to look into our FISHBOWL kitchen! His guest bedroom faces our kitchen so there isn’t much to worry about. I just feel better with the paper up when I’m walking around at night.

The teacher in Uvalde that lived through all his students being shot was on CNN telling how he turned around and the shooter put a bullet in his lung, back and arm. It was hard to listen to his recall of how the kids died. He said he will never be the same again and asked the parents not to hate him for not being able to save their children. God help this man deal with what happen. :(

Have a good Wed everyone.
Pat hope you’re doing better each day.

Happy Hump-Day, Bunnies! Drat, that means we're 1/2 way through the week.

It's just the beginning of June, not half way through July for crying out loud. But around here those small places that sell annual flowers every year are already closing up shop for the summer. All they're doing now is trying to sell off whatever is left over. I drove by our grocery store yesterday, and the one out in front of it had nothing left but an empty structure.

Hope you are stocking up on Swiffer covers, K2. You are going to go absolutely crazy when construction and destruction starts happening in your kitchen. No way to get around the inevitable dust.

It was light scattered infrequent sprinkles here yesterday. And the neighborhood was deathly quiet in the morning, for a change. But no sooner was I getting used to the sounds of birds, when those backup warning beepers started up again. This time it was a couple of cement trucks. By the end of the day they had poured the floor of the next door neighbor's detached garage and the large patio off the back of the house.

I'm guessing that today they'll pour the cement for the pad for their new shed, and the driveway.

Amazingly, neither of the dogs is phased by all the racket.

Ah, drug companies, gas companies and big banks. All of them making record profits while many people struggle to find ways to make ends meet and get the drugs they need to get through each day.
For now that’s about it from The Burg.
All of you have a fantastic Wednesday.

Good morning. Well there was no call from the Dr's about what Bruce was to do last night so he did not take any Coumadin nor did we do a shot. If no call soon then I will call them. He is off doing some jobs and my only plan for today is to cut his pill that he takes half in the morning and half at night.

All have a great day.

Good MID-Morning!

Well, the NON-SLEEP ghosts made it my turn to NOT SLEEP well last night.

I think having 2 different pills added to my usual night's routine did me in!
Talk about tossing and turning all night! (Dave & Lee) isn't there a song about
Tossing & Turning?

Cartoon Wednesday GIF by joeyahlbum
It may still only be JUNE, but to me every week is flying by and we'll be back to WINTER before we know it. HATE WINTER. HATE IT EVEN MORE since COVID.

Okay, folks I'm out of here. Enjoy your day and stop by and tell us about it. :clap002:

Kathie, you only need ask...
nor did we do a shot.
Nancy, along with Dave's help, I am willing to do a shot for you and Bruce. Is Tequila OK? Hey, I warned you about me. :beer2:I sure do hope that the doctor calls you. I had the same problem with my primary cardiologist. Fortunately I was in rehab - CARDIAC rehab - at the time and I was able to talk about meds with the cardiologist attached to the program.
Between pickleball and cutting the back lawn I've registered 117 minutes of exercise already this morning. Lu-Ann is off to get her hair done. I have a load of laundry in the washer and, wait, did you all hear that? Coffee calling my name.
Hopefully the rest of you wonderful folks have a terrific rest of the day.

Another decent night at cribbage last night. We took 7 points to our opponents 5.
So far the fellow who is in charge of the league has failed to post the standings so I don't know exactly where we rank, but it should be at or near the top.
Time to start gathering what I will need for my weekend fishing trip which starts tomorrow and continues til Sunday. It has been a couple of years since I have gone and it will be good to see everyone again. 100 guys, which is the limit for the camp, and includes a number of the sons of the original group who started this thing about 50 years ago.
Game 3 of the Celtics-Warriors final tonight with the series currently tied at 1-1.
Go Celtics.
It rained here last night and we were supposed to be getting more rain throughout the day, but so far it has been dry.
Take care everyone. Will post when I get back.

Good morning! Would someone please making time pass so quickly without consulting us!! Yesterday turned into a real bummer when 2 health care providers showed up with within 15 minutes of each other. One showed up an hour early and the other was about a half hour late. Both asked the same questions in their individual slot ... So what happened? I should have made a recording so I could save some breath! And to thin I still haven't seen most of the doctors!

There's not much I can tell you about the procedure as I won't see the surgeon until next Tuesday and he can fill in some of the blanks, like how many stents did he put on? I do know that I got 2 blood units and they thought about going for 4, but decided the 3 units were enough. Other than that, I don't know anything. Tomorrow I see the wound doctor and will have to give him the whole spiel again. Fun, huh?

Nancy - sorry about the passing of that friend of yours. May he RIP

Kathie - Happy remodeling time!! And you thought this time seemed so far away! Seeing some of the pictures of demo day at G&E's doesn't exactly excite me. Make sure you have plenty of paper towels and stuff to dust things off as needed.

Bill - Sounds like a neat car you got. Unfortunately, it just wouldn't work for us considering how much mileage we put on each week.

Bert still hasn't made it out of the bedroom today! There's also a box of medical supplies delivered this morning from Advent Heath that I can't pick up and bring inside from the front stoop. Guess I should get the show on the road and get off the computer for a while, Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Pat, perhaps the health care workers had some Irish in their backgrounds and asked the same questions “to be sure to be sure”. The important part is that you continue to feel better!
Enjoy the fishing trip Bill. Is “fishing” code for having an adult beverage or two?
It may start to rain here soon. That’s OK ‘cause my sweetie is home from “the salon” and her hair looks lovely.
See you tomorrow everyone.

Lee: You didn't disappoint with the Video song. Love it! :)

NEGC: Not sure you’ll check in here before leaving for your more than fantastic Fishing trip. Do you still actually FISH or do you just keep close to camp house? Where do you ALL STAY?? Be safe.
Nice to know you and Rita are doing good at Cribbage!

Pat: Wow…you should start a diary and write a book soon about all you’ve been through. Sure would be nice if the doctor came out and told the family (Bert) what they did. That is if Bert could HEAR what he would say.

So do you feel better since the stints were put in? Amazing you needed 3 bags of blood. Wow! Have you had any strange “Cravings” since the blood transfusions. :D Ha ha.
Regarding the DUST that will be EVERYWHERE soon! I’m buying those cheap huge painters plastic and wrapping the furniture in the Family room to try and avoid having a total mess on my hands. The lamps and some tables will get wrapped too. We can watch TV in our bedroom or downstairs in the basement if we close off this room totally. The contractor is going to block off the opening from the kitchen to the family room.
We’re setting up the microwave in the laundry room along with the coffee maker! Refrig will be in the middle of the foyer? Yup, it will be CRAZY AS A CIRCUS GONE WRONG for awhile!

Today I managed to find the tile for and it’s in stock! So no waiting for it to “maybe“ get here or not. Whew.

Karen: What are you up to girlfriend? How’s your Sister-in-law doing? Saying prayer for her and your brother.

Get your POPCORN READY for tomorrow nights report about the conclusion of the Jan 6th riots! Can’t wait to hear what the GOP’s has to say about it. Sad thing is NOTHING will come of all the time spent on the investigations. Sad.

Time to count sheep and hopefully fall asleep tonight! Nite all!

Good Night Sleeping GIF by PBS KIDS

Morning ya'll!

Hope everyone got a decent amount of sleep last night. If not, that's what naps are for.

Grocery shopping this morning. Nothing special on our list.

Happy fishing, Bill. Hope the ones you catch are half as big as they are in your stories.

Since you don't know much about your surgery BB, can you at least tell if your leg feels better?

It was a very nice sunny day yesterday. But the concrete crew next door never arrived till the afternoon, and pretty much only cut lines in the concrete they poured the day before. A waste of a good day just for that since there is a lot more concrete to be poured.

Made another one of my "brews". Bits of ham in this vegetable concoction, and not much pepper or crushed red pepper this time.

Will tonight's January 6th hearings at 8 be revealing and informative or just reruns of what we've already learned? Will soon see.

See ya'll again tomorrow.

Good Morning Hello GIF by Mauro Gatti
Wrabbits. Looks like the rain stopped from last night and the :sunflower: will be shining by noon!
Art is thrilled to be able to go and meet up with his crazy bike pals for another bike adventure. The gravel roads are going to mess up his clean bike. But he lives to come home and totally clean the chains and wheels, etc. :icon rolleyes:

I hope you all have a fantastic day. I'm going to be looking for a HOT PLATE, so we can boil some water and put a pan on the thing and cook us some food during the remodel job.
There's always the BBQ to grill on. Thank goodness. Also, need to find some of those plastic drop cloths to cover things up with.

I did sleep better or shall I say longer last night.

Going to be planting my Cuke plants that I grew from seed. They look just like the kind that the nursery wanted $3.49 for a tray of 4 seedlings. Our POTATO plants are all popped up with green leaves. We have 11 Potato Hills in our tiny, tiny garden. They were so much fun to grow last year. Hope we have as much luck this season. Tomato plants have some flowers on them too. Love this time of the year.

Lee: Hope you had a good walk this morning at Navy Park. Perfect morning for it even though it's a tad chilly right now. How did Ava's toenail clipping work out? Do you end up sanding down the rough spots?

Later..........
Tired Good Morning GIF by MOOT
HELP YOURSELVES TO A CUP OF JAVA!

Quick good morning from me to you. Need to leave for the wound doctor in a few minutes. This should be fun! It's about an hour ride to the office and the goodness only knows how long you sit and wait to be called back. Best part is that they want you there 15 minutes early for you appointment. Why? You end up sitting there for at least a half hour anyway. Dumb, if you ask me.

That's it for me right now. Got to make a quick pit stop at the loo before we go. I'll be back later.
