Good morning! I could have sworn I posted here yesterday, Honest Ingin!

Nancy - Your beef stew sounds so good. I've got meat to make a beef stew, but just haven't hit the right mood to make it. I will one of these days though.

Kathie - I think it was warmer by you than by us yesterday! That sure doesn't happen very often. Of course, by next week we are expecting temps around 96. Can you top that?
By the way, thank you for sending those sheets to record meds on. I have a similar one that I've been using, but will use yours next time I have to revise the list.

Lee -Nice that you are finally getting some warm weather up your way. Time to break out the shorts!

Dave - Poor Kathi falling out of bed again. I almost did the same thing the other night, but caught myself just in time.

Karen - Bet you're getting to go in the pool just about daily right now. Our pools here get very crowded once the kids come home from school, but earlier in the day, they are empty. That will be changing in about 2 weeks when school gets out for the summer.

Now for an update on my health - Next week I see 3of my doctors, including 2 on one day! First up is the podiatrist on Monday at 10:25. Then I got a call from the vascular surgeon's office moving my appointment up a week. Gal said the doctor needs to see me right away. I know that will be about my clogged veins in my right leg. Then later that day I have to see my pulmonologist at 4:00. What a way to spend my birthday!
I'm still not sleeping well, so I end up taking a nap in my lounge chair every day. I'm tempted to go ahead and sleep there too as it's the one place I can get comfortable.

I think after lunch we're going to go out to Florida Mall to see if I can find a new watch. My Rolex once again has stopped running. I want to fix it and then sell it. I just need a nice watch that is waterproof to replace it. Also plan to stop at JC Penny's. They have a pair of sandals that I'd like to check out.

G&E are supposed to be renting a U-Haul to bring their stuff that's in our garage over to the garage at their new place. Maybe for once we'll be able to find anything in our garage! Then they will be spending at least tonight at the new place. That means once again Bert & I can do and eat whatever we want. I love it!!!

Have a fun day, everyone!

Good to hear from you PAT. What a medical schedule you have coming up. All the best.
Nice to know you might get your garage back. Just don't broadcast that it's somewhat empty or another FAMILY MEMBER might take it over.

I made some Pierogi dough and used my 'crank type' roller machine to get the dough rolled out. Worked really good. I'm giving it to Ashley so she can try to use it for her Pasta dinners.
I'm waiting for a pot of water to boil so I can pop the Pierogi's in and pre-boil them and then freeze them for future use. It's a long pain in the Toush process, but they are really good.

Art is done painting for today. I'm so glad he only did HALF of the job today. He said the 2nd coat went on really smooth and good. Nice thing about buying that expensive Sherwin Williams paint is that it ROLLs ON nicely.

Okay, time to get back in the kitchen. I'm glad this job will be done before it gets hot in this place. So nice to have all the windows open to air the place out of any paint smell. There really isn't much of a smell. Thank goodness.

Later gang.

Went to see Ashley and celebrate her 23rd B-Day. She loved all her presents and we had cake & Ice cream around 3:00 pm. WOW.... now that was different.
They are all going to downtown Detroit to see the Detroit Tigers Baseball game. If they lose tonight they will hold the longest streak of losing in Tiger history. Now isn't that something NOT to be proud of. Geez!

I got the report back from my Mammogram I had done yesterday. Talk about RECORD SPEED.
I thought for sure it would be BAD since they read it so quick.
But
ALL IS GOOD! Whew! This was an early repeat because they thought they saw something 6 months ago. I get the pleasure of another x-ray in late December. Joy, Joy.

We hit 85F on this side of the Detroit River today. Still HOT outside, but tonight it's dropping down to 60F. Hopefully, we'll be able to sleep well with a breeze through the bedroom window and the ceiling fan on.

I got BITTEN by something Wednesday. I'm thinking a Spider. It now ITCHES like crazy. It's right behind my ear on my neck. Feels hot, hard and red. It's a tad bigger than a quarter. It feels the same way as when I get a MOSQUITO BITE. It could have been that too. I think I got it when I went to put jelly into the feeder for the birds. I had to walk through the grass and I stood there for awhile. Who knows..........but I want the ITCH to go away. I have all kinds of meds to calm it down, but so far the best thing is a cold ice pack on my neck.

You all have a good evening.

Good evening....

Pat, glad to see you weren't back in the hospital again...hopefully one of these Dr's next week will be able to figure out what the heck is going on...enjoy your evening alone...:emoticon 0130 devil:

Dave, time to put some foam bumpers on Kathi's nightstand...that has got to be a heck of a jolt waking up by whacking your head...

Kathie, sounds like an old person's birthday having the party at 3...but understand they didn't want to be late for the game...maybe the Tigers will pull out a win for Ashley's birthday....

Lee, I looked into trying to get some replacement parts from Delta after you mentioned it...but unfortunately Barb didn't keep any receipts from the last remodel about 10 yrs ago...unlike yours truly who finally tossed out some old files & receipts on remodels that were done 20 yrs ago on my old house...

I went to Jane's today to mow her front yard & then helped her work on the pool again to try & get it cleaned out and ready for swimming...going to go back again tomorrow afternoon & we should have it looking pretty good after that...

Spectrum cable is coming in the morning between 9-10 to hook up my new equipment.. I'm hoping I get a nice tech who finds a reason not to charge me...but if not...it's worth it not to have to mess with it & get aggravated...
Think it's going to be an early to bed night for me..being in the sun & the pool really took it out of me tonite...catch up with you all later

Good Saturday morning Bunnies!

Now while you are waiting for the toaster to pop up, It's time to start dancing around the breakfast table.

BB; So happy to hear that real soon your legs will be checked out by specialists. Keep us updated. You with an empty garage? I'll believe that when I see pictures of it.

Good news for you K2 on your mammogram results. We too were in the 80's yesterday. Not yet used to hearing the air conditioner kick on. All this past week we've been spoiled with sunshine and above average temperatures. Next we we fall back down to normal temperatures for this time of year. Low to mid 70's.

Good thinking KC on having Spectum set up your new equipment. It's just not worth the irritation to do it yourself.

Yesterday when Kathi picked up 2 granddaughters from school she took Jack with her. That little pup was a big hit with the elementary age kids. She and Jack got surrounded by these rug-rats asking all about him and asking if they could pet him.

This morning we're off to the grocery store. What's the odds of me finding any of that mystery ice cream?

Hey Kathie, I guess Ash is going to have to start going to more Tiger's games....congrats on the win!

Still waiting on the Spectrum guy....if I'd known between 9-10 meant 10 I would have scheduled him 8-9....and then watch him show up at 7:30....

Good morning! Hot, hot, hot ... That's our weather report for the next few days.

It was so nice having the house to ourselves and having the garage cleared enough to pull a car in. Not that Bert would ever do that! To celebrate our quiet evening we decided to go to the Grille for a bite to eat. Neither of us was very hungry and for once we had no leftover in the fridge.
On our way to the Grille we could see that there was a storm coming. Luckily, we got to the Grille when the first clap of lightening was heard. You should have seen the people scrambling to get oft of the pool. We had barely sat down when along cam M&J. They were amongst those who had just been in the pool. They were wet, so they couldn't eat inside and just ordered a meal to go. All of a sudden the rains came and it was so weird. It started hailing like, well, hail! It was really funny to watch the kids' reaction to the hail, as they had never seen hail before. We'll have to check our car to make sure there are no dings from the hail.
Our gang will be back this afternoon some time and of course, I'll be making dinner. It's an easy one so I don't mind.

Dave - How's Kathi's head? I hope you got a surprise when you went shopping.

Kathie - Do you have any Benedril or Cordizone 10? Both are good for bits that itch. Sounds like a nice birthday lunch for Ashley. Nice that Detroil won their game.

Karen - Don't you hate when service people don't show up on time. Home health was supposed to be here yesterday about 1-ish. We waited and waited. Finally at 2 the therapist called to say she would be here around 3. I told her to just cancel for the day as we had to go out. We could have done some running around instead of just waiting for him to show up.

Nancy - Is there a race this weekend? By the way, who is your favorite driver?

Lee - So what are you and Lu-Ann up to today?

Dave - No pictures of the cleaned out garage, but Bert was able to pull in far enough for me to get out of the car, as it was still raining. He could have pulled all the way in, but he didn't want to spoil the car!! LOL

On that note, it's time for a cup of coffee.

Good Mid-Morning Wrabbits. Another PERFECT DAY is on the books for us Pure Michigan folks. Ha Ha
Somebody is posting while I am. I need to check that out. Be right back.
It was BB posting up a storm. Well, a HAIL storm report. I saw the pictures Missy posted on FB. It was really coming down over there.

BB: I do have some
Cortisone 2.5 that the doctor prescribed. I used it last night and the ITCH is barely around today. I think this is finally getting better. I'm used to Mosquito BITES taking up to a 1 to 2 weeks to go away. They get all OOZY and then finally dry up. That's why I hate mosquitos so much.

DAVE: Nice TUNE you posted for us. That singer sure had fun making that video with all those skinny beautiful women around him. WOW. Hope that Kathi's black eye is getting better.
Good luck finding that Ice Cream. I looked at our Kroger the other day and we must have 200 kinds of Ice Cream flavors, but not a one Key Lime Pie Ice Cream. :emoticon 0101 sadsmile:

After we came home from visiting with Ash and the family for her B-Day ART started to open the huge box for the light fixture that will go in the dining room.

Well, let me tell you, this is going to be one heck of a job putting this baby together. Already we need to order 2 - 12" pieces of extension medal rods so the fixture will be 32" up from the dining table. Because of the Cathedral ceiling we need to lower it. We have barely gotten all the parts unwrapped. Ha Ha. I did check on line and they do sell the 12" extensions. Not cheap at all. But we have no choice. Can't have the dang fixture way up in the high ceiling. Ha Ha.
I waiting for the lighting shoppe to open and I want to see if they have any extra's in house that we can get right away. Otherwise, it might take 2 weeks to get them in.
ALWAY SOMETHING! As it is we will need the help of Mark, Jill, and tall Eric to help hold this fixture while Art wires it into the ceiling box.

Okay, I need to refill my coffee and then I'm out of this house to go looking for 3 flats of Inpatient's flowers to plant. I loved them so much last year on the side of the house. They filled in the space so nicely.

Enjoy your day folks.

Good morning. We were supposed to get rock this morning but after being told he would be here at 8 and it was almost 10 I called and no rock today.

Will be watching racing starting at 11. My favorite driver for Cup is a toss up between Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott and Kevin Harvick.

Bruce will be one of the pallbearers tomorrow at Barbara's funeral.

All have a great day.

Nancy - Wasn't it Kevin Harvick who used to drive for Outback and if he finished in the top 19 you could get a FREE Bloomin Onion the day after the race? Back in those days, we got to eat a lot of Bloomin Onions!!!

Well we finally got some of that warm weather that everyone else has been enjoying and I spent a couple of hours yesterday afternoon, sitting on our front porch and reading. Little or no humidity and the temps were in the low 80s so it was wonderful.
Celtics came back with a vengeance last night to win Game 6 in Milwaukee so the series will come back for the 7th and final game of the series on Sunday afternoon. Celtics record at home in Game 7s is very good so there is a decent chance that history will repeat and they will move on in the playoffs.
Celtics game ended about 10:15, so I turned on CBS only to find that Blue Bloods was yet another repeat so it was early to bed. Still didn't sleep that well, so it is probably good that we have nothing special planned for today.
Looks like we may now have a new person delivering the daily newspaper. Since we got home the paper has been delivered by an elderly woman who doesn't get here with the paper until 11 am or later. Considering how much trouble we had just getting the paper delivered on a daily basis when we first moved here, I decided against calling the paper to complain and now, for the past several days, the paper has been on the front porch when we get up, so hopefully that will continue to be the case.

Good evening. Not a lot going on here today.
I’m heading over to a friend of a friends‘ place in the morning. Her fence posts need replacing so we’ll get the three sections down and pull the old pieces of 4” x 4” uprights out of the ground.
I think it was Dave who mentioned the Delta parts Karen. But hey, I’m willing to accept the “atta boy”.
Any luck on the Key Lime Ice Cream Dave?
It’s hard to believe that “little” Ashley is 23! Belated greetings to her. How long until the down rod extensions are there?
This weekend The Cup guys are in Kansas, aren’t they Nancy?
Gosh Pat, I remember all of the Blooming Onions you and Bert used to score after The Outback car and their NASCAR wins.

the paper has been delivered by an elderly woman
Elderly compared to who Bill? ;)
Be good and stay safe folks.

Hi GANG!
Very interesting day here for me.
Got a message reply on my iPhone from my dear friend Elaine.
I wondered why I hadn't heard back from her about a Bird Feeder set-up I sent pictures to her of. WELL.......
The girl is in the hospital.

She was disoriented when I was talking to her the other day, and I SHOULD HAVE PICKED UP ON IT and DIDN'T. I won't let that happen again.
It's a long story, and I jump to the chase. She called her neighbor, Margaret, and Margaret had enough
sense to call EMS. Off to the hospital about 1 mile from her house. (imagine how much that cost).
Seems like all her
electrolytes were dangerously low. They put her on IV's and heart monitor and gave her some type of "Equilibrium" pill. Well, the pill made her hallucinate and she saw little kids poking sticks at her and jumping on her bed. LORDY, poor thing. It took 2 days to get out of her system. ADD that to the DO NOT TAKE list.

So, I went to the hospital, after talking to her nurse to see if it was okay, and spent 4.5 hours with her. The got her a room in the local rehab and I helped her get dressed while we waited for the transfer van to get there. She was transferred to a Rehab facility to have them work on getting her to walk again. Seems she lost all the STRENGTH in her legs.
(Sound familiar Pat).
I was glad I was able to help her. Her daughter is flying in from Santa Barabara on the RED EYE!

Lee: I did make it to the light shoppe before I went to see Elaine. The nice lady brought out 2 HUGE boxes (she couldn't even carry one of them, a guy had to bring it out) of spare RODS. Well, out of about 100 rods not one was the right color. "OLDE BRONZE". Which you would swear was BLACK until you put it next to a BLACK ROD.
Can't order them until Monday. She said it shouldn't be too long to get the rods since they can DROP SHIP them to our house. Joy, Joy.

I came home and made us Fresh Chicken Salad sandwiches and corn on the cob. We had plenty of chicken left over from yesterday and it was quick, easy and good.

Now I'm off to hit the COUCH. Too much stress for one day.
Never did get to run around and look for my flats of flowers. Oh well, what I did was way more important.

Nite gang.

We look like we will have a BEAUTY of a STORM coming by soon. Let's hope it misses us.

Hey, it's Sunday morning all you sinners.

Quite a story about your friend Elaine, K2. I wonder, what on earth would make your electrolytes drop so low as to need a "equilibrium" pill which makes you delusional?

Any luck with Spectrum, KC?

BB; To this Midwesterner it just seems odd that some kids have never seen hail or snow, except on TV and pictures. Then again, a lot of northern kids have never seen a palm tree.

Kathi is a fan of NASCAR because her Dad was a race car driver, Nancy. But I just think of it as 2-3 hours of boredom. Different strokes for different folks.

I consider anyone older than me to be "elderly" Bill.

You must be feeling better Lee if you're willing to mess with 4 by 4 posts.

No luck with any Key Lime Pie at the grocery store yesterday. I'm no longer willing to make any special trips to find some, even if these grocery chains advertise it.

Normally I never notice baby formula at the grocery store. But with the shortage of it I did yesterday because of the big sign in front of it telling customers how many they could buy. It brought back memories of when Covid started and they had these signs in the toilet paper isle.

Good morning. Today will be a hard day as Barbara is being buried this afternoon. One good thing about this weekend is that Becky, Sean and Nick are in Jupiter with Jennifer, Mike and Max for the weekend. They arrived there yesterday afternoon and will be going home tomorrow evening.

This morning got an email that our flights home from Vancouver have been changed. One good thing about the change is the time between flights in Dallas is half an hour longer so that will make it easier to get from one gate to the other. And we leave Vancouver almost an hour earlier.

I got worried late yesterday about our Covid testing for returning home but then very late last night I realized that we can get our tests done the day before in Victoria, so I looked up and found a number of places to get the test done. So that worry is gone. When it is closer to time for the cruise I will make appointments for us, if needed, and hopefully they won't be needed.

All have a great day.

Never speak too soon about things, like newspaper deliveries getting better. Still no Sunday paper. The 'elderly' woman who has been delivering the paper makes this gang look quite youthful, so I was trying to be generous in describing her.
Bruins season is over but the Celtics can extend theirs for at least one more round with a win this afternoon.
Finally was able to turn the thermostat from "heat" to "cool" and hoping that we will be able to leave it there for months.
Dermatology appointment tomorrow afternoon and my high school class' semi-annual luncheon is later this week.

Good Afternoon.......well... almost! BRIGHT and SUNNY and HOT. Yup, a fantastic Sunday.

Went to our local flower nursery and bought 2 flats of flower ($25 bucks) 2- Spikes for the porch pots and 2 different kinds of tomato, and a 3-pack of Jalapeño peppers and 3-pack of some other pepper. All together it came to $36 bucks. Unreal prices this year. And this was at the cheaper nursery. :icon rolleyes:

Bill: Nice that you turned on your A/C. I'm getting really close to doing that, but last night the temps dropped and it was very comfortable with the windows open. We also MISSED all the RAIN they were
forecasting.

Make sure you all look at the BLUE MOON tonight. Last night it was looking a little different, but tonight it's suppose to be really cool!

Lee: Nice pictures on Fbook of your stroll and of course you and Katie.

Any BETS on how many times Nancy's flights will change from now until she and Bruce take off in the Fall? Ha ha. I bet a lot.

DAVE: I think Elaine's biggest problem is that she lives alone and doesn't eat correctly all the time. She use to be a health nut back in the day. These days she said she eats a decent breakfast and lunch, but dinner is harder to make when alone. I told her she needs to change around her meal plans. Eat the bigger DINNER at lunch time and smaller meal at dinner time. It's got to be hard. Not to mention she doesn't get around walking like she use to. Very frail. I feel so bad for her. Like she said yesterday..... Getting OLD SUCKS BIG TIME.

Pat/Karen: Hope you're having a good day.

Art decided to try and finish up the 2nd coat on the 3 remaining walls today. Then he only has "Touch-Up" painting to do where the BLUE TAPE didn't hold so good. He'll be one happy guy to get this painting done with.

I'm not planting any of these newly bought flowers until the sun goes down or until tomorrow morning. Just too hot for this gal.

Happy Sunday GIF
