If only all my doctor's appointments went as quickly and well as yesterday's did, I would be one very happy bunny. My appointment was for 1:15pm and they actually took me in and checked all my vitals a few minutes before that time. I then saw the doctor's PA who explained how well the procedure went, examined my incision and mentioned that it was healing well and that my driving restriction could be removed and that I could resume most of my usual activities, and that in another week or so I could lift things weighing more than ten pounds. I still can only shower and can't swim or take a bath but that those restrictions would only be temporary. We were actually back in the car and off to lunch by 1:20.
Lunch was at one of our favorite spots out at the Vero Airport. It was crowded and loud but we were seated quickly had our meals shortly after we ordered and were headed back to the condo by 2:15.
All in all it was a very good experience.
To top it off I had the best sleep I have had since we arrived here in January- didn't wake up until 4:30 am and then went back to sleep until 8:30.
Have to get a haircut today and in the late afternoon we will be going to dinner with Phil and Jeanette and Rich and Dianne.
Rich just got back from his "Honor Flight" with his son Brian. Met the group of vets in Melbourne, where they were bused to Orlando and flown to Baltimore and then bused to various sites in DC. They were back home very late that same day.
I'm interested in hearing what reading material Bert is recommending, Pat. Our tastes in reading matter seem to be quite similar.
Concrete pad looks great Nancy.
My main comment about that video is that once again, they are eliminating even the most basic and often entry level jobs. I must admit to using the self-checkout lines in supermarkets, occasionally, if I only have a few items and the lines at the cashier's lanes are enormous, but if they would only fully staff those lines they could reduce those lines significantly.
