Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Good Afternoon Wrabbit faces!

Had a good visit with the LADY Cardiologist. Said my low blood pressure "might be" from the Water Pill she had me taking everyday. She said I could be De-Hydrated! Duh! Ya think!!

Said to STOP taking them. Ordered a Echocardiogram since I haven't got one on file anywhere. It's a simple Doppler WAND type of a test. Thursday, 9:15 am. Keep up the good work on 'tracking' my blood pressure readings and come back in 3 weeks. EKG was fine.

LEE: Good that Lu-Ann had been out to the Navy Park early that day and knew just how cool and windy it was and postponed your outing. This week it's suppose to get up into the VERY HIGH 78-80's so I bet you'll be able to get out there.
Don't be doing any MINOR HOUSEHOLD tasks and wearing yourself out just yet. Walking around the house and maybe out to the yard and back should be your limit. ;) Millk this a little longer buddy!

LEE:
NOW I KNOW I SHOULD KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT, BUT I JUST CAN'T SO DON'T DISOWN ME AFTER THIS NEXT PARAGRAPH!

I'm right there with DAVE and was hoping you would have gotten the SELF-PROPELLED battery operated lawnmower! If you haven't opened the BOX YET SEND IT BACK. Heck, I'll pay for it to go back. I watch the people across the street do a FULL STRETCH to push their lawnmower through their grass. Lu-Ann with her PD will have NO FUN trying to push that machine through the grass. AND YOU shouldn't stress yourself even when you are fully recuperated to push through the grass. Electric, Battery or Gas operated you have to use your BODY POWER to PUSH the darn mower. YIKES. There goes my Blood Pressure just thinking about that. Exchange it for a SELF PROPELLED UNIT.
Okay, I'm done with my lecture. Enough said from the Peanut Gallery!! This is at Home Depot!

I'm out of here for now. I've more than likely caused enough trouble for one day. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme::emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Later...........

Oh DEAR...looks like I scared all the Wrabbits into their Cubbies!
Sorry... I meant no harm! REALLY!
8:12 pm and still light outside.
Tomorrow suppose to be nice snd WARM. (for at least 1 day)

As far as last night's Super-Moon, I was a bit disappointed. I was reminded of a phrase from the movie "Road House"......."I thought you'd be bigger."

Sure sucks around here for people with allergies. Yesterday I hopped in my car for a trip to the drive-thru. (Yes, I even wear a mask when I go there.) But I had to start by using my windshield wipers to get off all the pollen. It was all over the car.

When I got back I did a poop-patrol out back. Good thing. About an hour later my fertilizer guy showed up to do his thing in the old pool area. He had said he would be coming some time, but he never gave me a date. If I hadn't cleaned up, I sure would have been on his S-list.

He's got a neat logo on his paperwork to go along with his company's name. Turf Tailors is the name of the business and his logo is a black and white picture of a fella in a tuxedo, wearing a top hat and carrying a walking cane. Neat.

NOT self propelled, Lee? In 5 years I'll ask your opinion then, even though you have a flat yard.

Speaking of battery powered stuff; Kathi ordered a battery powered leaf blower that switches over to sucking them up in it's bag. It was delivered yesterday. That thing has a 40 volt battery on it. Before, I had one that was just a blower. Kathi played with the new toy yesterday afternoon. (I should get her more toys like that.

)

So how was Bucee's, BB? Buy anything? If I remember right, that's that big truck stop you mentioned.

Happy that your EKG was fine, K2. Makes sense that you might be dehydrated. I'm guessing that they started you on those water pills because you ankles were swelling up.

Yes I did make it on the treadmill yesterday, and hope to do it again today. It's a good place to watch commercial-free-movies. I'm getting toward the end of the third Godfather movie. The first one was my favorite.

Get your short-shorts on fellow northerners, it's going to be a toasty day. KC, if this was Ocala it would be a great day for you and your Poolies. As long as the pool was heated.

Kathie scared me.
Now girl, don’t fret. This unit is smaller and lighter than the gas mower I have now. My current gas mower is self propelled and I never use the drive feature here. I did in Ayr because we had a big yard with a slope. Now, the slope only ran in one direction...
In 5 years Dave I’ll be looking at a lawn service. By then the batteries will likely be done anyway.
Follow up for blood work, potassium levels and a general inspection of all incisions with my family doctor today. I’m trying to think of something to take Dr. Silvaggio to say thank you. If she hadn’t picked up on my subtle symptoms and sent me for a stress test three weeks ago I may not be here today to get berated by my dear Michigan friend. Or be teased and kidded by the rest of you. Damn, I’d miss that.
The sun is just starting to poke it’s face above the trees in the distance. Have a fantastic day. I’ll be back later to check on you all. But first, coffee. Decaf for another few days but it’s still kinda coffee.

Good morning! Another beautiful sunny day here...but still a bit on the cool side to start...which is ok cause today is mowing day at Jane's...

Kathie, glad the Cardiologist visit went well....hopefully dropping the water pills will help with the low blood pressure problem...

Lee, we are also quit glad that Dr. Sillvagio caught your symptoms early...
And I agree the battery powered mowers are NOTHING like a heavy gas mower...I loved mine and I'm sure the newer ones are even lighter and easier to handle....LuAnn may never turn the mowing back over to you with that sweet baby! :emoticon 0115 inlove:

Pat, so give us the scoop...did you make it to Buckee's? And if so how was it....buy any cool stuff you just can't find anywhere else? I think we are going to do a road trip there too maybe later on in May...

Dave, good job on making it to the treadmill....and I'm sure your lawn guy appreciated not having to dodge cow pies while fertilizing...somebody's dog left a present on my front yard yesterday..pretty sure I know who's....I'm just glad I saw it before I stepped in it...yuk!
And yeah....I went out to check out the moon last night too...wasn't really all that impressive....it was brighter though later on coming in thru the bedroom window...

I think I FINALLY got my downspout connection fixed so it doesen't leak anymore...I ended up having to run it at the front of the flower bed instead of the back so I only have one connection instead of 2...if it doesn't leak during the next rain I will finally be able to cover it up & spread the mulch back there...
Well I need to get myself dressed & head over to Jane's in a little bit...today is Taco Tuesday after I get done mowing...:smiley25:

Good Morning Wrabbits! Good to know you all are still talking to me! LOL :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

DAVE: Good boy for getting on that Treadmill. I don't know how you do it THAT EARLY IN THE MORNING, but bless you!
It's
70F here in Michigan already! I plan on being outside as much as I can today!

Lee: Maybe you can find a "Gift Card" to give to the Lady Doctor. Sooner or later the restaurants and stores will open up again. That way you're not walking into the office with a package and having the other patients look at you and wonder if they should have brought her something too!
We're all happy she caught the signs of your clogged arteries, etc, etc. Can't wait to hear the whole story that lead up to you going to her to begin with. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme: We're just glad you're around to be teased!

Karen:
Hope the cure for the Downspout works. Watch it NOT RAIN for weeks now! Taco Tuesday sounds yummy! Have you managed to find a way to NOT CUT the electrical cord when mowing at Jane's? Or is she home when you do the mowing and still helps out with holding the cord out of the way?

BB:
Did you make it to BUCKEE's?? From the pictures I saw of the place it looks like a 20x's bigger than a Cracker Barrel restaurant with their gift shop attached to it. Were you able to use your scooter to navigate the isles?? Tell us about it!

Art took a Cross-Post type fence out of the corner of the yard where we use to have the Flowering Pear tree. Well, he worked on getting that 3x4 square of a post dug out for 1/2 the day yesterday. Seems like the ROOT SYSTEM from the Pear tree wrapped itself around and THROUGH the post that was at least 3 feet in the ground. Then it bore it's way through the post while down in the ground and made like a HOOK effect so the darn thing would not budge. Art had a full wheelbarrow of dirt from around that post. He used his AXE and finally just SPLIT the POST at the top and it released the huge root that had managed to push it's way right through the post. We had one of those cross fence posts around each Pear Tree. He said he's leaving the one on the other side alone. We can barely see it and it's a good marker for the property line!
Amazing how big and powerful the root system from a tree can be. He showed me some of the same root from that tree and it had to be 7 inches wide just below the grass level. He said he'd be DEAD GONE before he could ever get all the root system cut out and isn't touching any of the roots around that area. It would be so neat to be able to do a X-RAY of the backyard and see just where all the roots are. That HUGE HUGE MAPLE down by the creek must be all over the place. And our neighbors Willow tree with all it's roots popping up around it must be all over our yard too. Nature doing it's thing for sure.

I'm out of here for now. Need to drop a card at the post office so it gets to the person before the end of the week for Orthodox Easter this Sunday!

Art is out biking. And I think I'll be getting on my bike around noon'ish and touring the neighborhood. They connected a sidewalk about 2 miles from here and it goes from 24 Mile to
23 Mile with nice new wide sidewalks. Can't wait to give that a try! I want to see if it's really only one mile from one end to the other. Seems like it's further.

DAVE: I even put a mask on when I pick up my Latte at the Starbucks or Tim Hortons drive-thru window. All that air being pushed out of that window might not be all that friendly. And even though I have had both shots it DOESN'T mean I still can't get the Covid. It just means that I won't SUFFER as badly as some do that don't get the vaccine. I just wish everyone would just realize that this is BIGGER than the FLU and just go and get their vaccine shots. I want to be able to move around like I use to a few years ago.

Later gang. Be safe and wear those masks.

Back from mowing at Jane's....did all the front & about half of the back...one section of the back is mostly weeds & oak tree spouts...which if you don't keep mowed down will turn into a forest!

Kathie, enjoy the bike ride! And yep...Jane still works the electric code while I mow...she get's to sit in a chair on the front porch or the back patio while & go back & forth in her yard....it does make it go much faster and not having to worry about cutting the cord is a big plus!

Pat....are you still recovering from your road trip yesterday or did you not make it out yesterday & went today instead?

Time to just go relax for a while....the taco's were very good Jane fixed I ate 2 and will probably just have a snack for dinner....see you all in the morning!

FINALLY getting a chance to check in here. Where have the past36 hours gone???? To answer the question of the day - YES, we got to Buc-ee's yesterday and it was almost everything I expected it to be. It is huge - 40,000 sq ft inside. It is NOT a restaurant, but they make sandwiches to go along with salads, desserts and other type of treats. We had a BBQ brisket sandwich on a brioche roll that was to die for! You have to eat in your car or somewhere else, as there is no seating inside.

They had things that would make Dave-s heart sing! Lots of different hot sauces, but no Slap Your Mama in this one. No problem with that, as we can not get that here too. I did get some pineapple habanero sauce and some peach habanero sauce to use with cocoanut shrimp or with cream cheese on a cracker. Also got some very spicy pickled jalapenos. They are always a big hit around here. As a treat to us, I got some enormous oatmeal raisin cookies which we loved. Next time I'll also get the chocolate chunk cookies for me alone!

Took us about 1 1/2 hours to get there on almost all highways. Took longest driving locally. Also too ablut the same amount of time to come home, so we will definitely be going there again one of these days.

Gotta learn up one this - This is NOT a truck stop. Big rigs are not allowed! Tour buses are allowed, as they use this as a bathroom break while the bus gases up and the people on the bus can get something to eat and pick up some snacks and stuff along the way. Big rigs just gas up and go.

I was disappointment in one thing though. In Texas they had a huge area with stuff for the state's colleges. Here there was only one freestanding rack for all the schools here with nothing worth getting. Oh well... You can't have everything. Cracker Barrel near Gainesville is much better for that kind of stuff. And that's it for my report on Buc-ee's. Well worth seeing at least once.

Kathie - Good idea about redicing the water pills and seeing what happens. Glad you got a good report.

Lee - Don't let Kathie beat up on you like that. You do what works best for you and be done with it! I personally was not a fan of the self propelled. Sometimes it just wanted to go faster than you wanted to move.

Karen - That's a great sustem you have worked out with your sister to cut the grass - You cut & she just guides the electric line. Nice bonus for Taco Tuesday.

Dave - I feel for you with all the allergies right now. We are already into our next level of allergy crap with grasses causing them. Car windshield was a mess when we went out this morning. We are also starting to get our usual May problem child - Love bugs!!! Not too many yet, but they are here for sure. I hope they are not too bad this year.

I actually broke down and went into Sam's today! The price I will pay to get a case of wine!! LOL Needed a few things for dinner tonight when the gang is coming over for ribs. The way I figure it, I will not have to cook for the rest of the week, if I play my cards right! Only problem is that I am so tasting spaghetti with meatballs and sausage. Guess that will have to wait for next week, maybe. I already know the gang wants king crab on Tuesday (Elaine bought it) an Wednesday is Cinco de Mayo. Just too many meals and not enough days to eat it all!

On that note I'm out of here. Time to switch pans around in the oven with the ribs and they see about getting outside for a while before I have to get this meal to come together like it was so easy!!

Have a perfect evening, everyone, and I will see you tomorrow! :)

I’m enjoying the 80+ temps while on the lounger on the deck. We still don’t have the awning set-up for this year, so the table and chairs are not set out yet. Way too early for that. Michigan weather is crazy here until Memorial Day and even then it can get cold. The kids will come by and help put the awning up. Boy can you tell we’re slowing down and getting old when we need help with chores like that.

Karen good you got the lawn cut. I have to laugh that you finally don’t have to cut your own lawn and instead do a nice job helping your sister out! You are the BEST!

BB: Seems like “Discrimination“ not letting the BIG Rigs into Buckee’s but taking their money for a BIG GAS FILL-UP. Did I get that wrong?
Nice you got to go into a few stores. You need to do that more often to keep up with all the stuff on the shelves!
I went to Lowes today and bought us a new 3M furnace filter. Quick in and1st out. Got to use Art’s 10% Military discount. Every few bucks saved works for me.

Last night I saved us $99 bucks by changing over the Delta American Express card to one that doesn’t have a fee. The guy was very polite explaining that I won’t get the 1st luggage bag free on plane trips! I laughed out loud and said “It’s quite alright...I won’t be flying anytime soon!” I think I heard a chuckle from him.

One of Art’s main biking guys had some kind of secure and while sitting at his kitchen table. Scared the heck out of his wife. He was babbling and she couldn’t understand a word he was saying. She called 911. At the hospital they did tests to see if he had a stroke or heart attack. And nothing showed up.
They sent him home the next day. He’s now scheduled for a MRI and it has to be at night and it’s 10 hrs long. They must put him out for this! Who could lay in that machine that long. Art said the guy told him they’re looking for Tumors or anything that might have caused that to happen. It happenEd times so far.
He asked if he could still bike and they said as long as it was close to home and with a group in case he has another episode. Art and the other bikers went to visit him at home today while they were biking.

Lee: I sure hope you got to go to the PARK today. This is a BONUS DAY for you guys, the Pups and us too. Lo e hearing the birds out here in the yard.

Bill...Rita...let us know how you two are doing! PLEASE. Thanks.

Time to get dinner on the table. AWAYS SOMETHING!!

It was SO NICE to be able to sit outside today. Not sure it will happen again tomorrow.

Good night from Michigan!

Hope you all had a good day. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

A busy start to the day, so not much time to gab. The doggies have to be at the groomers at 8. Then we'll come home for biscuits and sausage gravy. And then we are going to Lowe's at nine to sign the papers for the carpet for 2 bedrooms.

WOW, a 10 hour MRI. I've never heard of such a thing. At least they knock the guy out for it, K2.

Hope your family doctor gave you an all-clear yesterday, Lee.

BB; Is the phrase, "Let's go to Buc-ee's." Replacing "Let's go to the mall and look around"?

This isn't going to break your heart KC; The Buffoon is already complaining about Florida's heat, and wants to move to New Jersey for a while. The people living around Mar-A-Lago sure aren't going to miss him.

Lucky Kathi, she got to spend another hour on the phone with RCCL yesterday trying to get the $4,000 charge off our credit card. And having our cruise credits pay for next year's April cruise. We'll see what happens this time.

Good morning. I may have overdone it a tad yesterday. Stop scolding me Kathie! Like driving a race car, if I didn't spin in the corner once in a while I never knew what my limit was. I have been awake from about 2:30. I had the pups out in the yard then. It was quiet and cool!
I giggled and wondered Dave if the sausage and biscuits was a reward fro you and Kathi or the pooches when they got back from grooming. I still say to go to the media about this crap you are having to put up with from RCCL. The doc thought things looked good. We'll have the results from the "bodily fluids" tests in a day or so.
I guess the only people that might not mind 10 hours in the MRI would be submariners. They're used to being in a long tube for extended hours. Good job saving the $99 on the credit card. I don't even know what they charge for a bag these days. My jaunt to Ft Lauderdale was accomplished with a small shoulder bag for toiletries and a change of shirt and undershorts and room for Ava and Latte's paperwork. My pants were zip offs so the long pants I boarded with became shorts in FL.
Tell me now Pat. Do you get any kickbacks from the people you send to Buc-ee's? Clever marketing if you ask me. Cars, RV's and buses only. Those are the people who are going to come away with stuff and stories to share with friends.
Karen, your description of your sister feeding out the cord to prevent it from getting in the way makes me smile. I can tell you I tripped the GFI more than once when I trimmed the hedge and cord at the old place.
Time to stuff my face with something that's low fat, low sodium and good for me. Glad I like fruit and Greek yogurt!
Friends, you all have the best day you can. Wash those hands, wear those masks and please stay safe.

Good Morning Wrabbits. Looks like we might get some RAIN here in Macomb sometime today. Clouds seem to be taking over.

LEE:
It's a good thing our BODIES tell us when we over due things. Otherwise, we'd all end up either in the hospital or bed after major health issues. Good to know the doc thought you were doing GOOD! Now don't be spoiling those pups by getting them use to going outside at 2:30 a.m. Ha Ha.
I remember last year looking for a new Edger/Trimmer for trimming the shrubs around here and I gave up on the battery operated ones because of the weight when holding them. I really wanted one, but my wrist when trying them out in the store said "Who are you fooling? You won't last more than a 1/2 hour trying to hold that thing"! So, I'm stuck with dragging the cord around. Good thing I only use it once a year. Twice at the most. I've got many hash marks on the nice Yellow extension cord! Good thing I have a Electrician in the house to fix it when I really do a big slice. I must say I've been good the past few years. Ha Ha

DAVE: I need to find out more about that biker friend of Art's having a 10 hour MRI. I'm thinking with Art's LACK of HEARING very well he might have gotten that story mixed up. I can't imagine any test taking that long. This fella is the guy that bikes most everyday and LEADS the RIDES. He's going to go stir crazy nuts staying out of the woods and trails at the Big Park until they find out what's causing his seizures! It's strange how life works.....one minute life is good and you're fine and just like that things turn around!!

Our grandson, Eric, is getting his 2nd Vaccine later this morning. He'll be stopping by afterwards for lunch. Hope he likes Egg Salad Sandwiches and soup. I'm not ready to take him or US into a restaurant to eat just yet. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Okay, you folks have a good day.
Lee hope you can catch a NAP later today since you didn't sleep very long last night.

Later folks.

Good morning, gang! I've figured out why it takes me so long to get on here in the morning. Between taking all my meds, which have to be taken with some kind of food and the breathing treatment I have to do right away in the morning, it really eats up the minutes. Then throw in that occasional phone call and I can say bye bye morning.

Kathie - Big rigs are not allowed to fill up with gas as Buc-ee's. There
s signs up at the entrances to the parking lot to let them know it is not a truck stop and they are not allowed to get gas there.
Sorry about the trouble Art's biker buddy is having. I hope that can find the problem and that it's an easy fix to correct.

Dave - I sure would have loved some biscuits and gravy this morning. I really love it, but I don't make it as Bert isn't that keen on it. M&J make it all the time and once in a while will still make it here for us on a Sunday morning, if they get over this way early. Then we have enough to last a couple of days.

Lee - Now don't you be pushing yourself too much and overdo and progress you are making. You're not allowed to mess yourself up again. Now you just have to take your time getting better and just do small steps to begin with. You need to have a talk with your fur babies and let them know that 2:30 is not a good time for a pee pee call. They'll listen to their dad!!

Karen - Looks like another beautiful day in the neighborhood for us Florida belles. Good day to sit outside and read without doing much of any work. My kind of day after all the running and cooking in the past couple of days.

Had the gang here for dinner last night. I made 3 whole racks of ribs in 2 huge pans. They were fall off the bone tender. I know some people don't like them like that and would rather have to chew them off the ribs. Not the way they like them around here and that's good because it's the only way I will make them. The good news is that we still have plenty left and will definitely get another meal out of them before I package up and freeze anything still available. I so love to just pull out a package from the freezer and they are ready in no time to munch on with a bit more BBQ sauce. Actually, between the leftover ribs and the leftover lamb shanks from the other day. I really won't have to cook for the rest of the week!! Throw in one night at the Grille for dinner and we can call this week a wrap in the eating department. And I'm still not getting the meatballs and sausage that I am so tasting. Hopefully, next week.

Got a couple of easy little DIY projects I want to do today. We inherited from Bert's mom quite a few pretty crystal bud vases, some of which were still in the boxes they came in. I guess her family couldn't stop buying these for here and she never told them to stop. But I digress ... I want to take some clippings off my Christmas cactus plants and put them in the vases to root and then replant in pots. Some of my cactus plants are getting very leggy and old and I'm just not getting the flowers like I used to, so thus this project. Better than putting the clippings in nasty old plastic glasses and they can sit right on the breakfast bar between the pretty wine bottles that have plants growing in them. Cheap decorating with no pain!!

On that note, I'm out of here for now. After lunch it will be time for the lanai and lots of reading while I watch Bert pruning out seed pods from our robellini palms behind the lanai. This will be his ongoing job for the next month as these nasty seed pods pop up. If they are allowed to burst open, they throw out yellow seeds on the ground and it looks like a mess. He'd rather cut them out before the pod opens and that's going to be his job today.

Have a wonderful day, everyone. If you go out and about, you know the drill. Just do it! :)

Good Thursday morning Bunnies!

Grocery pick-up day.

A very appropriate video. Sure hope you are taking it easy today Lee. No more setbacks in your recovery because of overdoing things. Hope your "bodily fluids" tests come back just fine. (I'm not sure I want to know which bodily fluids.)

Kathi is a bit sore today. When we picked up the pooches from the groomers yesterday, the dog's leashes got tangled up and tripped her, so down she went on their gravel drive. Good thing it wasn't cement.

K2; I think every one of us who has had an electric hedge trimmer has accidentally tried to cut through the cord. How old is that grandson who got his second vaccination shot? Too many young people poo-poo getting vaccinated, still thinking they are invincible.

Your fall-off-the-bone ribs sound might fine to me, BB. Did you actually get to sit outside and read yesterday?

The weather has been very nice around here this week. Nice and warm with lots of sun. Until today. Figures, Cleveland is hosting the NFL draft tonight. Jackets and raincoat weather. And much of it is held outside. Won't be looking too pleasant on the boob-tube.

Carpeting has all been ordered and paid for. There goes another $1,200. Good thing those installers move furniture. Not TVs or knick knacks though. We wanted the exact same carpet and padding as we put in the living room and hallway. The carpet will be the same but the padding won't. They said that they couldn't get that brand of memory foam for now. Why? The factory had to shut down after a fire there.

No, were not waiting for them to rebuild the factory. So we got another brand which they say is just as soft and cushy.

Quick good morning...my sister's are coming over at 9 for Blueberry waffles....then Tom is going to cut Jane's hair....and after that Barb will probably want to try to go swimming...I don't think I'll be joining her in the water though...catch up with everyone later!

Good morning, gang! Not so sure as to what's good about it though. I woke up at 4:45 only to find out that I was not getting any oxygen. Finally had to wake Bert to bring me one of the portable O2 setups. That worked and I was able to get back to sleep until the lawn guys showed up promptly at 8 to mow and do all the other things they do every week. UGH! No rest for the weary. Bert checked the O2 line and sure enough that d*mn cat bit through the line. Now he's in hiding as he knows Bert will make him pay for doing this.

Not a lot going on around here today. We may go to the Grille tonight with friends, if they ever let us know what this week's specials are. Since Jonathan is no longer there, you never know if or when you will find out the specials in advance. All I know is that, if the special is steak, they can keep it. I have yet to get a steak there that's cooked the way I want it, so I refuse to ever get one there again. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Dave - Yes, I did get to sit out on the lanai yesterday while Bert cut out those seed pods from the palms. Also enjoyed a glass or 2 of wine there. Now the heat is really getting turned on. We'll be seeing 90s for most of the coming week.

Karen - You sure with these temps you aren't tempted to dip you toe at least into the pool? It's going to heat the water very quickly at this rate.

Lee - Sorry it's raining, but it's also a good excuse for you to take it easy for the day. No walks for you today.

One of our neighbors is getting a dock installed right now. Bert has asked the boss to stop by our house to get an idea what it would run to reinforce our dock. Ours was one of the first docks installed here and that was almost 16 years ago. It's getting quite shaky and I worry that one of these days the kids are going to shake it too much and it will collapse with them on it. With Mr. Gator swimming around that is not a very good idea. Apparently, a number of other neighbors also want their docks looked at while he's here, so I guess Bert will just have to wait his turn. Really curious how much this will cost. I think Bert is underestimating at $200-300. I think it will be closer to $1000. That will determine whether the work gets done or not. Mr. Cheap doesn't want to spend the money!! Stay tuned for the results ...

Better get off here now as the dryer is calling me. Have a fun day everyone, no matter what you're up to. Stay safe! :)
