Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Good Morning Wrabbits. (nice Orange Pumpkin color I found here)!

Karen: Have a safe trip to Maryland in case I miss you tomorrow. Hopefully, you are flying there! Be EXTRA SAFE in the airport and on the plane. No shame in wearing plastic gloves so you don't touch anything with Covid on it. TAKE along plenty of SANITIZER with you and USE it. Have fun with your visit. You are one fantastic Auntie in my book.
And I had to laugh about seperating the Kitties in different rooms. I bet they're going to be really TICKED OFF once that happens.

DAVE: The answer to the LED lights in the refrig being bright at night is ......right now it seems a TAD bright, but I imagine I will get use to it. Might keep me from opening the doors and "snacking" at night! LOL I think they should have a button that you could press to lower the intensity of the LED lights. But I must say it's so nice to be able to SEE every corner of the shelves. Plenty of room in this model. And love that the ICE Maker is inside the door and doesn't take up any room in the freezer or in the refrig section like some models do. That was a MUST have feature I looked for.

I slept well last night. Seems like the furnace must have kicked on sometime in the night. We put on the heavier comforter and it made for a cozy night. I guess sleeping with just a top-sheet on is over until about MAY of 2021! Dang........it's going to be a REALLY LONG WINTER THIS YEAR.

SAN: I'm glad that California is finally getting some relief from the Federal Government for FIRE CLEAN-UP. Art said knowing the "T" man he'll send you guys brooms and rakes to as he puts it "CLEAN" the GROUND! I'm with you about listening anymore debates. They're nothing but RANTS and INSULTS. 17 more days and we can see just who the American people voted for and then see what the MORON will be up to next. I just hope nobody gets killed by the idiots that are planning on showing up to POLLING AREAS with they're Machine Guns hanging over their shoulders to intimidate voters. Hard to believe GUNS are more IMPORTANT than people in our USA these days.

Art just took off the sheets we put over the flowers out front. We got a FROST last night and those plants would have been GONERS if the sheets weren't covering them. I want to just pull the flowers out and be done with it, but MR ARTIE says let them stay a little longer. DUH!!

He just left to go biking. Bless him to be able to do that on a cold morning like this.

Lee: How you holding up during this QUARANTINE TIME? Find any new projects around the homestead? Are you still cutting the grass or is that over for this year? I think our lawn-guy usually comes through until the end of Nov. Mostly to suck up the leaves. And then Art and I and sometimes Jill and her gang do the MASSIVE LEAF PICK-UP before the snow flies. We should have 2 less trees in the backyard to worry about cleaning up after once the TREE CUTTING GUY takes them down. He is one busy guy. I think we're still about 2 weeks from getting that done. He did say around 4 weeks when he gave us the quote.

Today a guy is suppose to show up to MEASURE for the back "doorwall" Slider! That's another project that will take at least 6-8 weeks before it gets installed. Have to order and then get in line for installation. They say they put them in all year-long. Before the first snowfall would be really nice!! o_O

BB: That cake you dreamed up sounds yummy. How did the dinner go? I bet they ate everything as usual. Hope you can have the weekend off from entertaining.

OKay gang .......I'm off to get some breakfast. Might do one of those Wreath Making crafts today. You all have a FINE SATURDAY. Stay safe. The Covid numbers are climbing UP again. They say this will happen because people are inside more since it's getting colder.

Why do I have a sudden urge to eat cake? Dang it BB. It's your fault! I guess if Bert doesn't carry a cell phone you couldn't even call to check on him in the store!
You were a busy bunch yesterday. Nice to see that Rita was able to find us and hear that Bill is feeling a tad better.
Now, you may have noticed that I didn't say too much about BOTUS before I made my quick in and out trip to FL. Oh, BOTUS would be for Buffoon of The United States. I didn't want any issues if the good folks at the border asked to see my phone and didn't take kindly to things that I may have said. I did watch a replay of the opening segment and credit Ms. Guthrie with the way she conducted herself and the relentless questions she threw at t. I'm surprised he sat there and took it. Maybe he had messed himself and didn't want to stand up and walk away. I applaud all of you for getting out and voting. Interesting times ahead for my friends to the south for sure.
Nice to know that there were no shortages and comments about your shirt were positive Dave. As they should be. For both of those things. It's a cool one here today as well. Lu-Ann near froze taking the pups to the park.
No Karen, no ill effects (knocking wood) from my trip. I had a call Thursday from Health Canada checking to see if I was at home and reminding me that I was on day 7 of my 14 days.
Now, here's the "stoopid" loop hole. Lu-Ann had 2 specialist appointments in London yesterday. London is roughly a 2 1/4 hour drive each way. She had changed them twice because of projected dates we thought Ava was arriving. She looked into changing them again and both would have been at least another 6 months away. Under the Quarantine Act I was allowed to drive her to the appointments as long as I stayed in the vehicle. Also, if I needed fuel or food we had to use the pay at the pump option and the drive through.
Kathie, I think that if I had to be in for 14 days without the break yesterday I may be going even nuttier by now. I miss our walks down at The Navy Yard and just getting out into town. I was looking at the grass this morning. I think the back could use a cut. I suspect that the front could use a tidying up too. It's going to be cool today and off and on rain for the next 6 days. It would be good to get it cut after that and put down a fall / winter fertilizer. One thing about a new community...no leaves, yet, to rake up!
Geez Tony. I hope that you either used a "real" advance vote drop off or mail. I can't believe that a ceae and desist was needed to stop those "fake" boxes from popping up in CA. t issue vindictive I wouldn't be surprised if he sent aid in the form of rakes. You know, so you could get together as a state and clean up those leaves in the forests.
Better get my butt off here. Today I will attempt to trim Ava's toe nails. She seems to watch Katie and decide if things are OK so I'll do Bear, then Katie and finally Ava. She is pretty good at getting her teeth brushed. Each day we see a little more of her true personality coming out. Not bad for a pup who arrived at her "Furever" home only a week ago.
You all stay well. Stay safe. Behave. Hey, I'm good with any two of those.

Good morning!

K2, hope the door guy shows up as scheduled....what kind of arrival window did he give you...

Lee, good to hear you were able to get a furlough yesterday....and now you are half way thru...hopefully with a few outside chores the time will go faster until you are sprung...

We have a bit of cooler weather here this morning too...but still going up to the mid 80's today..my bag is packed...just take a carryon since I'm only gone 3 days...boarding pass printed out & Jane's instruction list is printed...guess I am ready to go...the guy's are going to pick me up at 8 in the morning so I doubt I will get on before I leave....see you all on Thurs. when I get back!

Good morning, gang! It's a bit cooler here today, but not by very much. Definitely nothing like where you all are. Keep warm up north. I see that KC made the same kind of comment about cooler temps here in Florida. Great minds think alike!;)

KC - Have a safe flight to Maryland and enjoy your visit. How long will you be staying? Don't forget to take lots of pictures. I see you popped in while I was typing and answered my question.

Lee - So glad you got the leave the house for a while yesterday. Sitting in the car waiting - Now you know how I feel doing that, except I've been doing it since last March! It is getting so old, but at least I get to see how the rest of the world lives.

K2 - Our refrigerator has the ice in the door also. Biggest problem we have with that is that the ice gets stale if we don't use that much. About every 3 weeks, Bert empties all the ice cubes, which get stuck together into the sink to melt. Having that LED light sounds like a neat feature.

Speaking of pictures, I should have taken one of that pan of pot pie I made yesterday. It actually turned out to be way too much even for this gang. Now they have to come back tomorrow to help finish it off. I don't think they came very hungry either. The boys didn't go back for seconds and thirds like they usually do. If they don't finish the pan tomorrow, they will be taking the rest home with them.

Tonight is our last Magical Dinner and is at the French restaurant. I already know what I'm having and can already taste it! Start with escargot, followed by beef bourguignon and topped off with bananas foster. Not too shabby, especially while enjoying a bottle of wine to wash it all down. YUM!! Plus, the best part ... I don't have to cook it! :D

Other than dinner tonight to look forward to, not much is on tap here for the day. With the gator game postponed (thank goodness) we won't be sitting in front of the TV all afternoon.

I see it's almost time for some lunch. Now for the big decision - hot dogs or cheese & crackers? Hmmm ... I've got to think about this one!

Hi to the rest of you guys that I missed this go round. Have a wonderful Saturday, no matter what you're doing. Be good and stay safe!:)

KC: Door measure guy was here way before the 3 hour window time. Nice guy. Had a mask on and even took his shoes off at the door, which wasn’t necessary. Did the measure and the good news was it’s a STANDARD SIZE! Whew....that saved some big bucks. If we’re lucky we might have a new door by middle of December. He said he’s never seen so many people changing out doors and windows. I told him about how we are using our
“2021 Vacation Budget” for a few projects. He said he has heard thst more thsn a few times when doing measurements.

KC....nice that the “Boys” are picking you up and driving you to the airport. Fantastic people for sure.

Later gang. Stuffy nose is driving me crazy.

Safe travels KC! Don't forget your hat. and your wallet. and your mask. And your carry on. And your boarding pass...

Good afternoon from Gilroy. Quiet day here, but we have some errands to run later.

Lee, we mailed our ballots in. We can also track them on line, so I think we’re good at least until trump unleashes all the lawyers to make him the winner regardless of how the people voted.

Safe travels Karen. Have a good time.

Safe trip KC!

We took our ballots directly to the Township offices and on the computer it shows they have received them! Now to pray we WIN!!

Off to make a batch of Biscotti's to have with coffee. They last forever and are nice to DUNK!

Nite from Macomb!

The Photo documentary of Regan & Obama will AIR again Sunday without any commercials. If you missed it you might want to watch it. It doesn't really matter which political party you support, it's a excellent program. Peter Souza is amazing.

Just home from our dinner tonight and all I can say is OMG!!! It was so delicious and I am so stuffed. Time to put on my jammies and get comfy while I wait for SNL to come on later. Have a good night, everyone, and I'll see you tomorrow. :)

Safe and fun travels for you today, KC.

And the chaos continues as the virus continues to be spread at the Buffoon's rallies as he spreads misinformation on the dangers of Covid.

AAAHHH!!!

On a different note, I was pleased to find out that "The Amazing Race" being broadcast is a new race. They had filmed it prior to the Corona virus. Yes, it takes a few days sometimes to catch up on our recorded shows.

There was a documentary on Friday night on the perspective and pictures of the White House official photographer for Reagan and Obama. It was a FABULOUS 2 hour commercial free show. If it was something you missed, it will be rerun tonight on MSNBC at 10PM. So set your DVR to record it. You'll be glad you did. It's called, "The Way I See It".

Tonight @ 7 or 7:30 Doctor Fauci will be on 60 Minutes.

(This is becoming a post of my random thoughts, this morning.)

Our ballots, which we dropped off, show on the computer as "received".

The Browns take on the Steelers at 1 PM today, BB.
Prepare to cry.

Hope everyone has gotten their flu shot by now. Combining the flu with Covid 19 would be a deadly cocktail. And when you think of our ages it's too late for any of us to die young. And each one of us is one of a kind. Which begs the question; Are we endangered or a limited edition?

Time to throw some groceries down my neck. Probably a spicy-hot mix of noodles and veggies.

Good morning Wrabbits. 51F and dark outside. I miss the days when it was already bright at 8:00 am. Only 5-6 months more of dark mornings and dark evenings to go! YIKES...how in the heck am I going to make it through WINTER this coming year??? We should have installed high powered lighting all around the outside of the house pointing into the windows and had it on a timer to turn on about 4:30 p.m. to make the afternoons brighter longer and then again around 7:00 A.M. in the morning. I bet there is someone that might actually do this! Ha ha.

Dave: Your choice of breakfast is unreal to say the least! I feel sorry for your stomach.
And we might watch just “The Way I see It” special for a 2nd time because it was so good.

Oh Dave.....I think this group is BOTH ENDANGERED and a LIMITED EDITION unfortunately. Almost on the verge of being ANTIQUE. :emoticon 0136 giggle:

Wow....Art just brought me a cup of hot coffee into the bedroom. I told him it was to dark and cold to get out of the cozy bed! Ha ha. He forgot to bring me one of those Biscotti‘s I made last night!

BB: Nice to know your dinner out was a GOOD ONE! Have fun with the gang when they come over to finish off your Chicken Pot Pie. My favorite frozen Chicken Pot Pie is Stouffers. They make a good one!

Now I’m rambling. you all have a safe and fun SUNDAY. I’ll put in a good word for you with the MAN upstairs when I go to Virtual Church at 10:00 am.

LATER GANG!

It was a dark and stormy morning...
I guess gentle rain hardly counts as stormy but like Kathie’s weather it sure is gloomy.
First Pat and her danged cake then Kathie and her biscotti. I’m like a caged animal here and you’re taunting me with food!
We don’t get MSNBC with our current package so I will try to find “The Way I See It” on YouTube. It sounds amazing.
Interesting thought Dave. Are we indeed endangered, a limited edition or as Kathie put it...antiques. I suspect that if you break humanity down you could fit people in to all of those categories and then some.
If you look at the truly great, one of a kind people in history they are indeed limited editions. Fortunately, so are some of the evil people. If the leaders of the world don’t get their together endangered comes to mind. And of course as we all age, hopefully to those ripe old years, we like our stuff becomes antiques.
Another gastro delight Pat! Always worth it when the food is plentiful and good!
I was glad to hear that you can track your ballots Tony. I know that computer fraud can happen but our municipal election in Ayr allowed us to vote on line! How simple and civilized. Of course we didn’t have to worry about a foreign government trying to take over The Region. Who’d want it!!
Early rumblings from Ottawa indicate the border between Canada and The US will remain closed for yet another month. I don’t think Washington got the memo with t spouting about getting cross border things back to normal. Especially when our Prime Minister and Minister of Public Safety are indicating that decision will come from Canada. Still, it’s an odd loophole that allows Canadians to fly to the US for leisure but not drive.
Ha Ha! Kathie thought she was rambling.
You all have a fantastic Sunday. Even if it is overcast where you live.

Lee: Feel free to ramble all you want. We like it!
So are you going to make some Biscotti’s today or BB’s cake?
Art went outside into the garage to continue sanding the drywall joints he put “MUD” on the other day. What a DUSTY MESS.

Good afternoon, fellow bunnies! I hope your day is going great already.

I was real bad again this morning sleeping in until a little after 9. I guess staying up to watch SNL was not a good idea after all. Thank goodness we had nothing going on this morning, as Bert slept even later than I did!

I think we're going to have the same kind of day as K2 - rain moving in. We get a wee bit of sun and then the clouds move back in. Only good part of the day is that it will be warm, even with rain. The really bad part is that the humidity is going to make outside feel like a sauna!

That was a really quirky little restaurant we went to last night. There are only 6 or 7 tables with good spacing between them. It's a narrow place - maybe about 15 feet wide! There's a really nice bar and they specialize with wine and beers from around the world. Aside from the delicious food, they also play 50-60s music in the backround! Cool place that Bert wants to go back to someday, but maybe only for appetizers & dessert plus a bottle of wine, of course.

Dave - I do have to say that your stomach must be lines with lead to be able to eat some of these concoctions you come up with for breakfast. I'd be afraid to see what you might eat for dinner.

K2 - What flavor biscotti did you make last night? I know our grandkids love them and I used to buy them quite often. Now no one asks for them any longer :( My 2 best customers to eat them used to be Wesley & Justin actually.

There's a good chance that by now KC is already in or at least approaching Maryland for the start of her 3 day vacation. It's nice that Aunt Karen can do that.

Time to heat up my leftovers from last night and have that before we settle down to watch some football. Have a super day, everyone, and those of you where there's rain (sorry San) stay dry! :)

I couldn't get back onto my post as I wanted to. I forgot to tell you that I posted 2 pictures from our dinner last night. If you go to their website, you can see pictures of some of their other food, which is ever changing, and you can see some of the restaurant.:)

Dave, why do you think that millions of people buy into trump’s constantly lying and giving miss information?

It just can’t be that this group is just way smarter. It was pretty clear to many of us back in2016 what kind of president he would be. He never wavered in his messages, they have been constant for four years now and in many ways getting more bazaar.

Skies are blue and in the eighties today. No rain predicted.

Going to venture out to Costco for fuel and some other needed items.

Found this on Facebook. Creative and to the point!

Hey there SAN: You are brave going to
Costco on a SUNDAY! Around here that’s dangerous. Gas went down here the last few days. At our Kroger Grocery store it’s $1.73. I bet our Costco is cheaper. They usually are.

Roasted Chicken w/potatoes for dinner over here. Easy. Might have some home canned Beets with it too.
Beets are very good for blood pressure!

We made it to 60F here right now at 4:30pm.

BB: Biscotti’s were Slivered Almonds and dried Cranberries. Recipe called for Mini Choc Chips, but I like my choice better.
Took some over to my friend Marie so she and George can have some and she can take some to her daughter, Mary, who
is going through chemo to shrink that tumor before surgery.
Need to get some to Jill. I think I’ll be making another batch. They’re going quick.
I did buy some 00’ zero flour straight from Italy. I want to try and make my own Gnocchi Pasta.

Later gang.Gotta go blow my nose! AGAIN!
