Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Told you that I'd be back! We had lunch and then did our running around. I couldn't believe how hard it was to find tiny disposable spoons and forks. Both are for appetizers. Bert finally went to the Party Box. He was in there so long I was starting to get worried. The line literally wrapped around the whole inside of the store with everyone practicing social distancing. I was watching the people pouring into the store. I can't imagine what that place is going to be like as we get closer to Halloween!

I too have no intention of watching NBC tonight. The orange idiot is already badmouthing NBC and claiming he won't get a fair interview, blah, blah, blah. If I was in charge of NBC and knew he's saying these things, I'd tell him what to do to himself and pull the plug on him!! We can't even watch Biden's town hall either tonight. DISH Network and our local ABC affiliate have been engaged in a pi$$ing contest for close to 2 months now and thus, we don't get anything on that channel! :mad:

Time to go out on the lanai while I enjoy a nice glass of wine. It's still nice and warm outside, so I intend to take advantage of it as long as I can right now. I'll try to stop back later, but there's no guarantee. :)
 
K2, he is going to lie about the turn out on NBC anyway regardless of the ratings.

Bin Laden is not dead, the Obama Administration had the entire Seal Team Six killed and Obama and Biden are going to be arrested for spying on Trump. And that was just a few lies from yesterday.

Morning!

Not really much to gab about this morning.

Mission accomplished on dropping off our ballots yesterday. It was a quick drop into an official box. But there was a line there for people who were voting. Those lines are going to get longer the closer to the election it gets.

I got 2 comments from people at the grocery store while wearing my Biden/Harris. The 1st was a 30-something guy. And the second was about 15 minutes later from a retirement age lady. They both said the same thing; "I like your shirt." Zero negative comments.

Didn't see any shortages on anything this week, but next time I'll be checking to see if they have plastic forks and spoons.

I understand that Savannah Guthrie really drilled lil t but good last night and did the best interview in a long time. I just want to know more about the nodding woman sitting behind him who turned out to be a lawyer from the Dominican Republic originally. As one report said that she was as distracting as Pence's fly in his hair. LOL

The crew is coming for dinner tonight. It will be a beautiful evening, so we will be able to eat outside once again. I'm going to hate to see it cool off too much to do that any more this year, like after the time change. I'm making a huge pan of chicken pot pie. Haven't made that in ages, so we're looking forward to it. I also want to bake a cake for tonight, but I'm not quite sure what type I'll make. Has anyone else noticed that they aren't putting any cake mixes on sale these days? I usually always have at least 4 or 5 boxes in the pantry. Now I'm down to the last one - yellow cake. We'll see what I manage to come up with.:chef:
 
Ok, I finally got on here, and will help Bill set up his account when he feels better. He is doing better, we saw his primary yesterday and have another appointment with the urologist this afternoon, and he has some dietary restrictions to follow because of high potassium. I can't believe how much better he is than just a week ago, but he has a long way to go. The hip is very good, it's because of the infection that he had a setback, but we hope he is on the right track. It has been a roller coaster.

Nice to see no one is getting their panties in a wad over the political discussion. We didn't watch either broadcast last night, our minds are made up and I don't need to hear anything the Buffoon has to say, all he does is lie. I just hope we don't have a civil war when he loses, but I can even handle civil war as long as he loses. I think the generals will escort him out and do it with smiles on their face.

I haven't had time to catch up with all of you, but I will in the coming days.

Nice to hear from everyone and I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend.

BB, just an FYI, a friend who is maitre'd has been called back for a Christmas cruise, so maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Good to know that Bill is home and doing so much better. Seems it doesn’t take much to set us folks ” BACK” these days. Tell him I said HELLO. Nice to know that the cruise industry might just be getting back to cruise again. Actually, after the big increase these past few weeks of Covid19 cases I’m surprise they’re even trying to attempt sailing! :eek:

I watched some CLIPS of the Trump interview this morning on some of the TV stations. Wow...he was sweating and flying off the handle left and right. Samantha did a great job keeping him under control.

Lee: You going stir crazy yet by having to stay in your house and backyard?? How many days do you have left? And how is our little AVA doing? Hope the 3 of the pups are enjoying each others company.

SAN: Can you believe the Federal government DECLINED California’s request for funding to clean up the fire damaged areas. I saw in a article they said they didn’t ask for a specific dollar amount. Unreal.....send them millions. We all k ow they need billions to clean things up.

PQ: How have things been going at your school? Do you get many teachers that get the Covid and have to quarantine? Your students are attending in person......Right??? How’s Gary doing these days. Is he working? Keep in touch . And how are the traveling kids doing?

I hope all goes well with Bill's doctor appointment this afternoon. We need that guy to get healthy again asap.

I just baked a yellow cake (last box of mix in the house!), but before I baked it, I used a whole can of cherry pie filling in spots all over the top of the cake. Bert said that he didn't know what I was doing, but that it sure looked good. Just took the cake out of the oven and it smells so good. Naturally, all the cherries dank to the bottom. When ready,, I'll just dust the top with powder sugar.

Dave - I know the reason for that verosnowbird name, but I'm not going to tell you!!:emoticon 0136 giggle:

Rita, I am glad that Bill is showing signs of improvement. It seems like it’s been a long haul for him. Hope he continues to improve.

Since we voted some time back, I am less inclined to watch town halls and ads. Nice feeling.

k2, luckily the airport is on the far west side of town...so no road closings that would affect me...I had heard earlier that people were camped out over night to get into the area...you had to sign up online & request a ticket....so I don't really see what the point of camping out was....he's supposed to speak around 5 I think...

San, smart move taking the scooter around Costco...next time I am in Sam's club with my sister's I plan on using one....after about 30 mins on that concrete floor my back is killing me!!

Lee, hopefully you are not feeling any ill effects from your whirlwind visit to the sunshine state & will be able to be out & about very soon....

I forget who asked...but yes...we did get in the pool Tues & Wed....it's a tad cool...but with the sun blazing down it doesn't take long to get used to it....I went in for a little bit earlier this afternoon but there was no one else around so I only stayed about an hour...
Been busy get things done around here before I head to Maryland on Sunday...Jane & Hansel are coming over Monday to Cat sit...Buddy will be in the garage & Scooter & Ginger in the Master bedroom....hopefully Jane won't have any issues with anyone trying to escape their assigned room..

trump reversed his decision to deny federal aid for wildfires in California. The state was appealing the decision.

Governor Newsom seems to be able to play trump almost as good as the North Korean Leader. The cost is Newsom has to thank him publicly so trump can say Newsom loves him.

Good Saturday morning.

Happy travels on Sunday KC. I saw a news story about air travel yesterday saying that it's rather safe inside an airplane since air flow goes from ceiling to floor and then is sent through filters. As long as everyone keeps their masks on. They also said the terminals at airports are more likely a place to catch Covid.

K2; I mentioned to one of my daughters that you have LED lights in your new frig. She wondered if they are too bright if you open up the door at night. And your answer to that is....?

Today we are winging it on what to do. If it's something outside, jackets would need to be worn. Last night the temperature went down to the mid 30's and is only going up to mid 50's today. But it will be sunny all day, which improves people's moods.
