SKIP OVER if this gets to be too boring.
ALWAYS SOMETHING OVER HERE LATELY!!
I was up at 5:00 am and stayed up.
Art comes out from the bedroom and says hello, etc, etc and says he needs a favor! Okay!
He says he has a front tooth pain issue! Okay!
I wait until 8:00 am and call our dentists office.
They can fit him in at 11:15 am today! Better than OKAY!
I make coffee. Yup I needed coffee.
It is NOW 1:00 pm and I get a message from Art saying he was sent to see our Endodontic dentist that is in the same area. They had a OPENING/cancellation and could help him with the tooth in question! OKAY!
What a lucky guy to get into see 2 dentists on the same day and not have to wait! WOW!
Usually, getting into the specialist office is weeks.
I can see the Art's dental benefits being totally used up from these visits and then some!
All worth every penny to get it looked at so fast. I'm thinking he'll be going back to the specialist if they can't do all the work today!

Good afternoon, Barb did get discharged Tuesday evening, she had a rough night the 1st night, but said she slept better last night. Fighting with the home health people because they have her on IV antibiotics which they want US to administer. The nurse who came yesterday was supposed to have the IV bag all primed & ready for us to use last night, but after being hooked up for over 2 hrs none of the iv had been infused. The nurse today had trouble getting the new IV bag hooked up & running properly but finally succeeded, she still tried to convince us it was something we could do. Barb is saying No, we are NOT going to do this, either they come every day or send her to an infusion center, so we are waiting to hear back from them. Always something, she's feeling a little better today so she is going to go with me to our choir practice tonight

Well that’s good news having Barb out of hospital. Now, how in the heck does the medical community expect you and Barb to get the intravenous in properly when they have problems with it!
I guess timing is everything when it comes to emergency dental appointments Kathie. How did Art make out? I liked the graphics!
Vintage candy…how about wax lips, wax soda bottles and so on?

I forgot about the chocolate cigars! Lee, you forgot about chocolate, I don't think I have ever forgot chocolate. You brought back some old memories and I started thinking about some of my old friends, I wrote a letter to my High School friend a few days ago. He is now in a wheelchair and nursing home.
The nurse's visit went well Lee, blood pressure is good, heart and lungs sound good and a few other things she checked on. I have started my very short light exercizes, don't know if I'm doing any good or not. I did get on the lawn tractor, even mulched some leaves. I'll try to do that every week, the tulip polar tree has large leaves and if there are too many of them they will not mulch very well.
Kathie, you can make all the noise you want, without my hearing aids I would never hear you. I 'm sorry about your lack of sleep, I sleep like a log, I don't think Rip Van Winkle has a thing on me. I'm g;ad Art got into the dentist office quickly.
Karen, good for Barb for sticking to her guns and I don't blame her one bit. Glad she if feeling better

My gosh, it’s windy here this morning! How are you all doing?
Good to know that you got a good report from the nurse Mike. As they told me once light exercise is better than no exercise! I know they’re not the same but in our first house we had two huge poplar trees. I’d try to mulch the leaves with my gas mower but usually ended up raking them because they got so thick and heavy.
I like chocolate. And that’s a bad thing. I like a good cookie too. Equally as bad.
I’ll send a quick hi out to both Kathie and Karen. I’ll check back on everyone after drumfit and my much needed haircut.

Hi Wrabbits!

Karen: Good news on Barb getting out of the hospital. Good to know she's up and about and went to Choir practice with you. Gotta keep the body moving around. The IV situation is strange. If the nurse had a HARD TIME getting the infusion to work it would stand to reason they'd send a nurse to the house or like Barb said "send me to a infusion center". Keep us posted on the results of that issue.
Now about choir.......did the church find a choir director or is the group still 'winging it'? Never easy to find someone to commit to a big job like that.
Our church singing starts up this coming Sunday. We had a month and half off. In past years, like decades ago, the priest was okay with us having from mid-June until after Labor Day off. Just like the kids school summer schedule. The former priest liked it for himself, because the church service moved along a LOT faster without us singing. Ha Ha. The man had is priorities, golf and TV sports he wanted to get to do.
He passed away and so did our longer breaks.

Mike: Good for you getting a some exercise in your routine. Exercise, eat, sleep! Works for me. Glad your house medical check worked out well for you.

Lee: Art was impressed with his SPECIAL TREAT BREAKFAST. It's a place we will only go to perhaps 2 times a year. Just too expensive. Quality and Quantity of breakfast was super fantastic, but the "bill" was .......let's say.....YIKES!

Okay, I'm out of here. Have a good Friday. It FEELS LIKE SATURDAY to me.

All this talk about OLD TIME CANDIES makes me want to drive over to that Candy Shop I mentioned the other day. I want to see if I can find all the candies we mentioned on here!
I should be washing windows and even shampooing the family room & hallway rug, but who wants to do that sort of stuff!
I'll post a picture when I do go.

Even Betty commented on how much my hair had grown while she was on vacation! It’s nice to have it neatly trimmed again.
The windows and rug will always be there Kathie. They could run out of vintage candies. See, I’m only here to help. I suspect that the choir will be glad to get back together after a summer break. After drum and before hair we popped in to the new European Bakery for a coffee and treat. You thought your special breakfast was pricey…$23 for a coffee, a latte and an almond croissant. The nice young fellow serving us gave us 2 delicious cannolis to sample. As you said “YIKES”!

Good morning.
The winds have calmed since yesterday. We’re looking after our friends house while they are camping in Algonquin Park. Because of the wind I brought their recycling home and tucked it in the garage. I put it to the curb with ours this morning. I didn’t want theirs to blow all over their street yesterday or have their bins blow away. We’ll take their bins back when we pop by and take in their mail and check the house.
When does your choir practice start Kathie? Is Art done with the dentist after his visits the other day?
How did your “discussions” go with the nurse coming to get Barb’s lines all inserted properly Karen?
I felt comfortable walking past animal control (the dog catcher) yesterday after my haircut Mike.
Our neighbour is having a bunch of the folks on the street over this evening for their annual BBQ. Daniel has had his brisket in the smoker since last evening. He gets up through the night to check on it! He says it’s no big deal because he has to get up to pee anyway. It already sure did smell good when Ava and I were out for our early walk!

A good Sunday morning to everyone.
I’m sitting here waiting for Miss Ava to decide if she’s getting up for her early walk or not. And have been for over an hour. I suspect she knows that it’s only 47 chilly degrees right now.
Our get together with the neighbours was really nice. We got to meet folks kitty corner who we had only ever waved at in passing. Daniel’s brisket was so tender and flavourful you could cut it with your fork!
I’m not sure which one of the half dozen things Lu-Ann mentioned for today we may actually get to. But I cut the grass front and back yesterday to free today up.

Monday again.
With the start of the NFL season there is just one more reason, like I needed it, to remember the fun we had “Wagering With The Master”.

Hi GANG: Not much to gab about. Church was good. You all got a prayer in the big house. Went to see Manny and his family later in the afternoon. LIONS LOST the Football game. And I'm sure that our Father Dave was busy watching and betting with the gang up in heaven.

This morning I found some extra energy (I don't know where) and stripped the spare bedroom down to the bare mattress. Turned the mattress from one side to another. (the person that made this mattress without side straps to hold onto should be punished)
Washed the mattress pad, sheets, etc and the comforter. Pillows had 3 zipper pillow protectors on them, so the pillows went into the dryer to puff up and the protectors got washed.
Waiting for things to dry. There are a couple of loads in line! Vacuumed under the bed and the baseboard area too.

Took a break to say hello and get a cup of fresh brewed coffee.
Next I need to drive over to the Township offices and pay our TAXES!

Art went back to the regular dentist to have some GLUE put on a lower crown. The dentist didn't want to do it last week because Art had bigger issues with the upper tooth.
On this Friday he goes back to the specialist dentist to finish up the work on the Upper Tooth that they worked on last week. He's been on antibiotics since that last visit.

That's it folks. Beautiful outside. Might put some of the bedding outside on the railing to dry in the fresh air and sunshine. Electricity prices have gone out of sight around this area lately. Every little bit of savings helps.

A busy day for you Kathie! We have an ENDY mattress and it doesn’t have any side straps either. I have gotten really good at rotating it on my own.
For games day today we went a nice mini golf course about 15 minutes from here. I can guarantee that Ure’s is not the mini putt we played as kids. It’s part of a gas bar / variety store / restaurant that has, in part, been there for years. We had breakfast and then took to the course. A lot of laughter for sure.
Greeting going out to Mike and Karen. Hope all is well.

Pattie came over today to do some work for us on the compute, her and Fay just now left to go for Mexican. I am guessing it is a nice warm day out, I stayed inside all day. tomorrow it is expected to get to 80 so I will get out
Cinci won the ball game, I didn't watch it,
I haven't played mni golf in years, I was one ot the worst of worst at golf. That pretty much states my atheletic abilites except I was fair at ping pong, bownling and track.
Dinner is ready.

Lee: Mini-golf. Always a fun time when it's a well set up course! Haven't played in years. I envy all the neat things you do with your friends that live around the area.

Long PRODUCTIVE day.
Still drying 2 out of the 4 pillows I washed. Next time I may wash them here and take them to the Laundry Mat to dry in their huge dryers. I'm not a fan of washing clothes there. I keep thinking there might be some "back-wash-water" that gets into the big washer from the previous person.
I have no problem taking my throw rugs there though! Ha Ha. Yup, that would be another reason to not do any other type of laundry there. It could all be in my head about residual water left in the machines! Who knows.

Today was absolutely beautiful outside. I went out to pay our Summer Taxes and then went to a farmers and got some really nice veggies. We ate outside on the deck. Not going to have too many more evenings like that.

Karen hope all is going better over your way.

Mike: Nice of Pattie to help out with computer stuff. Hope you can get to sit outside and get some SUN RAYS on Tuesday!

Art got a GOOD DENTAL REPORT today. Now he just has to wait until Friday to go to the specialist. Should be interesting to see how much our share of that "BILL" we will have to pay. They don't call them a specialist for nothing!

Off to check the pillows in the dryer and then sit down and read my book.

Good morning!
Hmmm. As Monday arrived yesterday so did my long pants for our early walk. A clear sign that Fall can’t be too far down the road.
Unless we cross the border to Detroit’s Mexican Town Mike our closest good Mexican restaurant is 2 hours away in London. Nice of Pattie to be able to come by to take care of some computer stuff for you and Fay.
I’m happy to hear that Art got a good report from the dentist Kathie. You really had a busy day freshening up the bedding. We were always suspect of laundromat or apartment machines too. We have always had our own washer and dryer.
How are things in your neck of the world Karen? How is Barb doing?
Here is a link to some nice pictures of the mini golf course we played yesterday. It is as spotless as the pictures show! A lot of people, like we did, go for breakfast and golf or golf and breakfast.
We’ll drop by our friends place today, take in the mail, water the plants and do a quick walk through. Tomorrow at this time I’ll be getting ready to head out to the Subaru dealer. Subie is due for an “A” service which is just an oil change and a check up.
I suspect Ava will be wanting her breakfast shortly.

Good morning, thanks for all the prayers & good wishes for Barb, the wound nurse last Friday told us her wound looked much better than it ever had! Prayers are working! They finally got her IV meds figured out & now she gets them in a "ball" form that she just hooks up to her port & they work on negative pressure.

Kathie, poor Art & all his dental issues. We still don't have anyone to play the piano or organ but Mary, one of the ladies in the choir plays the guitar and she is filling in for now until we can find someone.

Mike, I was noticing the cooler temps you all had this past weekend, it's been a small bit cooler here but no where near as cool as you've had

Lee, sounds like Ava is a very smart pup for not wanting to venture out in the early morning cold. Your golf place sounds very interesting & unique.

Heading out in a few minutes for my 6 month check up, Barb has several doctor appointments coming up as well, so I will check in when I can
