Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Night Sleep GIF by Lara Paulussen
Seems like my night to count sheep! o_O Geez.

Good morning.
Well Kathie, if it’s of any consequence I think I was awake more in the night than asleep as well. I wish I could figure out why.
Thanks for dropping by Mike. Even if it was to tell us you’re having troubles getting the site to cooperate.
Lu-Ann is going to go to her chair yoga this morning. She missed last week because of the medical appointments after she banged her noggin. The bruising is fading which is good.
I’ve really got nothing else this morning. It would figure that the morning I’m up really early for no good reason Ava still hasn’t gotten up so we haven’t had our early walk yet.
Have a good day folks. I’ll pop by later on to see how everyone is doing.

Hmmm, nobody has been by yet today. I feel like Bobby Vinton. Lonely, I’m Mister Lonely…

Good to know Lu-Ann’s bruises are fading. You’ll get LESS LOOKS from people wondering if you’re a wife beater. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
I managed to sleep in a little longer after my on and off sleep last night! Art goes biking on Thursdays and was real quiet while he was getting his things together.
Hope Miss Ava finally got up to go for her walk.
How’s the hearing aids doing today?
:emoticon 0122 itwasntme:

Todays project was unzipping the cover on one of the couches pillows. The nice white casing inside of this pillow is filled with
Duck Down and Duck Feathers. Even though the white casing is a rather heavy material those Duck Feathers find a way to poke through and then sometimes poke through the rather heavy outer pillow cover.
I took the pillow outside to do this and had Art’s Mini-shop vac. Well, I spent over 1 hour picking the POINTED DUCK FEATHERS from the side seams of the casing. A major pain. I wore out my thumb nail doing this. The Shop vac couldn’t suck them out of the seams. It did a decent job on the loose ones, but it took forever to do one pillow. I did get a CLOUD BURST Of RAIN DROPS while outside that didn’t bother me at all. I was under the big awning. Tmep is nice outside today.
I have ‘4’ more pillows to PLUCK out the loose feathers! I figure I can do 1 a day and maybe NOT everyday in a row. It will be a slow project. Duh!
I did put the pillow in the dryer to FLUFF up the inside feather and it sure did just that. Not sure how I’m going to stuff it back into the outer cover?

ALWAYS SOMETHING…..(like I always say).

Hello to Mike & Fay. Are you still working on getting your font to be larger? Tell Fay I did manage to mix up some KIFLE dough and will be rolling out the dough later tonight. It has to get cold in the refrig for about 6 hours to set up. Good thing I enjoy baking in the evening! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

I have a choir member that had back surgery and had some complications and is in a Rehab facility that will be getting some of the Kifle. Elaine won’t be getting any because she has too many issues going on right now. Not to mention I won’t be going into her Rehab facility because she let me know yesterday that she still tested positive for Covid. Hopefully that place gave her the shot that helps to get the Covid quicker.

Okay, that’s my journal entry for now!

Look at the time, 4:45 pm already. Geez, there is no rest for me today!
Thank goodness we’re having leftovers tonight. Homemade chicken salad on chopped lettuce and homegrown green beans. Easy - simple - and yummy. For chicken I use the Costco Rotisserie package. It’s nice white meat, juicy and I used a half pkg this time and froze the rest (vacuum sealed of course) for another meal. A quick healthy Stir-Fry most likely!

I wrote and I tried to find my probem which I did but lost what I wrote. Maybe tomorrow I will have better luck. I'm going to sign off while I'm ahead, good nignt, you all have a good nights sleep

Good morning.
Actually Kathie, I DIDN‘T think you rambled on at all. You did what has always made this group what it is. You talked to us about your day. I thank you for that.
Again, I was up early, 5:30 ish, but because Ava was out in the yard after 10:00 last night she slept until a tad after 7:00. So we went for our walk just now. I know why I like the earlier time for our walk…less people out with other, sometimes barky, dogs.
We did see a young lady getting into her car to go to work. She was beautifully dressed in a skirt, blouse, and tailored jacket. I wanted to go and tell her how nice it was to see someone dressed for work and not wearing sweats, scrubs or any other manner of “work clothes”. Holy cow, do I sound like an old fart or what! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
On the plus side Mike, you were able to make your font larger!
We’ll be off to drum fit today. Then we’ll drop by our friends place, take in their mail and water their plants. They have headed off with their trailer to Algonquin Park for 3 weeks. They do enjoy the outdoors but I know Lu-Ann and I would go crazy after a few days.
All of you have a safe and fun Friday.

Bunny Love GIF
Just stopping by to say Hello Wrabbits. Not much to chat about today.

Mike: Tell Fay that the "newer recipe" I tried last night didn't come up to my standards.
I made one tray full and after TASTE TESTING 1/2 of one I didn't roll out the rest of the dough.
Getting wiser in my old age and just not going to bake something because the dough was made. I didn't waster too many ingredients. (whew)
Back to the TRIED & TRUE on my next attempt. It won't be this week! Ha Ha.

Lee: Hope you have a good day.

Later gang.

HERE’S YOUR BEDTIME STORY.

What a DAY over here!
I suggested we try to trim the evergreen shrubs in the backyard.
Well, I got everything out and the trimmer worked for a second and then went out and did that again. Art said maybe it was the plug up at the house that got pulled out of the outlet. NOPE. He checked the cords and one had a little nick so we just used another cord Still no help. He tested the outlet on the outside of the house that we use for outdoor stuff. NO POWER. Well, that started a major tracing of all kinds of electrical “crap”. Up and down, looking for this and that so Art wouldn’t have to walk up and down.Helpful apprentice.
We had a really quick sandwich lunch and then back at it. We had one more outlet to take apart and look for a double connection. (Don’t ask me what that is because I’m just a apprentice! Ha ha. 4 hours later……..

Well low and behold we both almost said it at the same time…..THE RESET BUTTON —- yup, one push and we went to test the deck outlet and we had power. The one cord that had a nick in had tripped the Reset Button.
The way the house was wired was beyond unbelievable to Art. This little Reset button on the wall outlet in Art’s bathroom took out our deck outlet, the basement refrig and the power to turn on the gas stove in the basement! ( The stove uses a electric ignition to spark the gas to light up) I told Art he owes me $300 bucks for my help! This was a TEAM REPAIR.

All is good now. ALWAYS SOMETHING!

Jill and Ashley are coming over on Sat morning to help me trim the shrubs. I had told Jill the story and said I was going to get a estimate from the company that fertilizes our grass to come and do the trimming and she insisted on coming over. What good kid and granddaughter we have.
I’m taking them to the local Pancake Factory restaurant for a Pre-work Breakfast! :clap002::emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

K2, Fay said she does not have the energy to bake any more so she lets Marie Calledar do her baking. You cam ramble all you want to. My Mother had a goose feather blanket.
Holy cow, do I sound like an old fart or what! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: Welcome to the crowd,1756517297741.webpI hope you enjoyed your drum fit today.
Sleep well

Good Morning Afternoon!
Yep, up early but just forgot to jump on and say hi. Lu-Ann thought it might be fun to go out to Kingsville to an outdoor dog show. We used to go to the shows all the time. We got there and it was pretty quiet. We had breakfast and wandered around the show again. By now, counting breakfast, almost 90 minutes had passed by. Certainly not the kind of shows we used to go to.
Mike, if you’re in that crowd I’m honoured to be part of it. All this talk of goose feathers has reminded me of a bit of a toe tappin’ song. I pop it on at the end here.
Being an electrician, the wiring profile must have made Art shake his head even more. I wondered if you had made it to the museum but I guess the answer to that question is “no”. A big day for your Spartan family Kathie. It’s their home opener! There sure didn’t seem to be a lot of MI bound traffic on the bridge this morning.

Have a great rest of the day!

We have to do the reset button every once in a while Kathie, that is always the first thing we look for. Our son took electricity in Hs andhas done some work for me. I hope you got your shrubs trimmed. I always disliked the clean up after the sniipping.
Lee, where are you. I did a double check to see if I missed y our post, I hope all is well.

Lee, was Grandmas;s feathere dbe from HE HAw??? I thought John Denver was one of the greatest. One of my favorites from him is Take me home country roads, being from wva may have something to do with it.

Re-Hash of today even at this late hour.... 10:18 pm.

1. Early breakfast w/girls was yummy.

2. We all came back to the house and got busy trimming. Jill was smart enough to bring her trimmer with her and cords, so we got the job done in 40 minutes.
The girls trimmed and I got the job of raking the trimmings into piles. They put the piles of greens into the lawn bags. I got the leaf blower out and made sure that everything was nice and clean under each shrub.

3. After cleaning up we went on the deck to enjoy some Japanese cheesecake. It's a VERY light, light cheesecake. They liked it.
They were hoping to be out of the area BEFORE Art came home from biking, but he caught us all on the deck. Funny part is he didn't know why they were there. Wanted to see how long it would take him to notice the shrubs all trimmed.
We ended up just telling him what we were up to and he turned around and said, "NICE JOB"! Ha Ha.

Ashley showed us pictures of her trip to Italy and said she would go back in a heartbeat. Said it was well worth the money. She said she would make sure if she did another trip like this one that she'd have MORE TIME in each city. They were on a rather tight time table. She said the tour guide was excellent in explaining everywhere they were and about the bldgs, churches, etc, etc. Said it was ALL AWESOME!
OH, to be young, single and have a money to spend.

In Milan she bought 2 keepsake remembrances of her trip. A gold bracelet w/10 tiny diamonds from Tiffany's and a Gold fine chain necklace from another jewelry store.
Can we say the girl doesn't wear much jewelry at all, but what she wears is nice. :emoticon 0136 giggle: ;) Happy for her!

Nothing else to report from here.

Haven't been to a DOG SHOW in at least 15 years. Always felt bad for the dogs having to sit and have people walk by them and stare. Then they had to walk around in the ring and get judged and behave. I do love watching the shows on TV though. Just amazing how many different breeds of dogs there are around.

Mike: I can assure you that the first thing we will be checking if power ever goes out on a electrical box (or whatever they are called) we'll be going straight for the RESET BUTTON in Art's bathroom! Lesson learned.

Out of here for now. Have a blessed Sunday. We have a lot to be thankful for and even for to PRAY ABOUT THESE DAYS. :emoticon 0104 surprised:

Good morning!
Kathie, it sounds like you had a busy but delightful “Girls Day”. Clearly Ashley has fallen under the spell and charm of Italy. An excellent guide makes all the difference and usually takes you off the beaten path that many other large groups of tourists are on. I mucked up. Michigan played Friday, not yesterday, and beat WMU 23 - 6.
That song was from a 1991 Montana Christmas special Mike. Lu-Ann and I both enjoyed the music of John Denver. His version of “Today” was one of the songs we requested at our wedding. We had a fairly small wedding and everyone gathered in a circle while Lu-Ann and I danced to that song. We were slowly joined by our parents and friends. Thank you for bringing that memory to me this morning.
If Ava decides to get up we’ll be off on our walk. If not, there’s always later.
Can you believe it’s the last day of August?
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.

BIG NEWS!!
We have a beautiful deep pink hibiscus in bloom!
I hope you’re all having a delightful Sunday.

I lost the post I was typing.
K2, How wonderful for Ashley, great t hat she had such a wonderful time. A long time ago I would liked to go to Greece and Rome. Art is my type of guy. I am so glad Fay and I went on our cruised and travels out west.
Lee, I had to play today, there were a lot of nice comments about the song and John Denver/ Did you get your walk in???I was going to watch Ohio State play but didn't/ I wonder if they will jump to number 1. What a sad day, the last day of summer and in my youth the lnext to last day of summer vacation. 90 plus years and I still feel that way.
I sat outside for a while, Fay came out with me and after 10 minutes or so she said it was too hot and went back in. I think it got up to 80.

I promised Kathie weeks ago I would try to pop in for a quick hello, unfortunately I'm still dealing with my sister's medical issues. She is in the hospital for the 4th time in 2 months & has had her 3rd surgery for an abdominal wound that will not heal. She has a new surgical team and we are hopefully praying that things will begin to turn around for her. Miss you all & will be back when I can.

My prayers have been answered!
Thank You Karen for popping on here for the update.
Prayers your sister will get through this bump in the road.
PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF! Hugs from all.
