Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

K2, that is a mean reaction from a bite, It's good that it has quit itching but I would still watch it very closely. You can send some ot that rain here, rain is forecasted for today so I am hopeing for a good down pour. A very nice picture of the egret. when I used to walk along the great Miami river I kept an eye our for the great bllue heron. I used to be a bird watcher of sorts.

I always wonder if a watermelon is seedless how do they keep growing them?
I have wondered about that also but too lazy to try to find out. That is a nice looking T shirt. You and K2 are getting all of the rain. It is cloudy here and we had some rain that got the patio a little wet but that is all
It was 92 at 2:00 dropped to 89 and sunny now. Some one should compse a song titled
used to.

After lots of rain yesterday today has started out quite cloudy. There was a strong north wind this morning that made it feel quite cool on our walk. We could see more drizzle this morning.
So, with that forecast, good morning friends.
I can’t say that I’m a bird watcher Mike, but I’m amazed at the numbers and kinds of birds we see here. Some are so graceful and some look like they were designed by a committee! It got quite humid after dinner last night. Last week’s highs in the 90’s are being replaced by highs in the upper 70’s.
Were you able to curl up with a book and some popcorn Kathie?
I’ll have to see what Lu-Ann has planned for tomorrow. If she is going to chair yoga with the other ladies I’ll cut the front grass while she’s out. If she wants to go to the PD group I’ll get it cut today.
Wow! Almost time to feed Ava. Where does the time go?
You all have a great day.

Sunny Day Sun GIF by Lucas and Friends by RV AppStudios
(just in case you forgot what day it is) Happens to me all the time!

66F and dry. Cloudy.

No Popcorn with the reading, but I did finish the book. Not anything that good, but took up some of my time around here! Ha Ha.

Off to the Oncologist to get my Prolia shot. Joy, Joy! It's the fact that they have to take blood first and put it through their huge machines and then see the levels and then I get the shot. Takes way too much time.

You all have a good day.

Later gang.

“Time waits for no man” or so Chaucer said. so I cut the grass when we came home from The Navy Yard. Lots of Ava’s friends were out for their walks as were Lu-Ann’s chums, the squirrels, looking for their peanuts.
I hope it doesn’t take you too long at The Doc’s office Kathie.

I read a little of Chau;cer years ago Lee, it was part of our English Lit class in high school. I don't remember any thing I read.
I will have to look up Prolia shot K2, have no idea what it is. may be taking something like that. Ok, I looked it up, I am taking something like that.
I'm goinng to get a cup of coffee, join me????
Have a good day.

I doubt they even study Chaucer or any of the what we called classic authors Mike. I did join you for that coffee and it was darned good.
I‘ve had a couple of shots in my time. I think they were bourbon.

Lee: Bourbon is a nice smooth choice!
Mike: Prolia has something to do with keeping the bones stonger when your calcium levels are low. My levels were spot on today, so it must be doing what it’s suppose to.
Nice part about going to the Oncologist for this shot is they do Chemo treatments there and set you up in a lounger and give you a Warm Big Blanket while you wait for the blood draw results! I feel totally guilty doing that since there are patients getting chemo right in the same area. :(
They were not overly busy and I got in and out within a hour. I even found a parking spot close to the medical bldg. A real plus.

Overcast and a tad windy all day. But I can’t complain when the News shows pictures of the East Coast and the High Surf starting from Hurricane Erin.

Okay nothing on TV as usual. Time to start reading a new book tonight!
Can’t wait until the PBS series starts up again. Wonder how long PBS will be around since the Orange Moron cut out it’s funding. His latest thing was to sign a Bill to spend BILLIONS of dollars on the Barrier Wall to be PAINTED BLACK so it will make it HOTTER and harder to climb! I think he needs to cut way back on the COKE COLA and McDonalds!

GOOD NIGHT GOOD PEOPLE.

Usually followed by “don’t let the bedbugs bite”.
No wonder I was messed up as a kid. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
Overcast start to the day. Sadly we look like we’re down to the last two hibiscus.
There’s so very little on tv at the best of times. We alternate subscribing to the British networks BritBox and Acorn.
Have a good Thursday everyone.

Lee: I forgot all about the second part of that saying!

71F Overcast - No rain expected here.

Nothing new to chat about. Later. Enjoy your day folks.

Just can't believe after 2 decades or more our Karen hasn't stopped by to say HELLO!
I'm just hoping that nothing is seriously wrong with her (medically) that she just doesn't
want to share it with us.
LET'S HOPE I'M JUST OVER-THINKING THAT RIGHT NOW! :emoticon 0138 thinking: Hope her sister is doing better.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=1Hb66FH9AzI&t=0s

There’s usually always a song Kathie.
I’m troubled by Karen’s disappearance too. I know you have reached out to her. I did early on as well. Every time I come on the “new” board it starts out with the first post by Karen. All we can do is hope she and her family are doing OK.

Thanks for the song Lee, I sing that one to myself once in a while, but all I know is the first words. I have never seen the group before. Good night sleep tight, down memory lane, how sweet it is, I also hope Karen is okay. I'm glad you enjoyed the coffee.
K2, I go in for Prolia twice year, my level is checked and if needed i get a shot. I needed the shot the two times I went to the Dr. I like your picture, oh to be that young again
Tonight had to be the worst of times with me and the darn tv. I turned it on and a signal came on no signal, that has happened before andI I could alway fix it, I could not fix it tonight so I called my server, she couldn't so she got the expert, he couldn't so they are coming over tomorrow.
I'll see y ou in my dreams.

I’m glad you enjoyed the tune Mike. I believe Bill Haley is considered one of the original Rock and Roll musicians.
I don’t think that I mentioned that my Sweetie took a bit of a tumble the other day. She was bending over and stumbled forward. Damned Parkinson’s. She didn’t loose consciousness. Aside from a scrape on her arm she said there was nothing else. The next morning she was showing signs of a slight bruise on her forehead but to quote her “it’s no big deal, I didn’t black out”. Then her eyes started to get black and blue. Of course by the time she called the doctor the office was closed. We got in first thing yesterday morning and after a very thorough in office exam Dr. sent us for bloodwork, and an X-ray to see if anything was cracked or broken. Dr. S was confident that as she hadn’t blacked out, had no headaches or double vision a CT scan wasn’t needed. So, yesterday was filled with the doc’s visit, bloodwork and the X-ray. By 2:00 the results were in Dr’s office and she had called Lu-Ann. Everything was clear.
We have a lot of faith and trust in our doctor. She’s the one who sent me straight from her office to the cardiologist. And we all know that ended up with a triple bypass and valve replacement.
Anyway, sorry for rambling on. I’ve taken up enough of your time but sometimes it’s good to express things to good friends. Which you know you are.
Have a great Friday.

Good Morning Coffee GIF by Jessica Lau
:clap002:

Lee: NEVER a RAMBLE in this HUTCH. We love to share our days events on here.
So sorry that Lu-Ann took that tumble. Was she in the house or outside? Just asking if it happened on a cement walkway! Either way NOT a good thing to have happen. Glad Lu-Ann got checked out and had the tests done. Keep a eye on her (not that you don't already) and please give her my
HUGS & LOVE. I'd send her a snail-mail card, but she'd be perfectly "unbruised" by the time it ever got to Canada!! Slowest mail between two countries ever.

LEE: I was waiting for the SONG to show up and you didn't disappoint. Ha Ha.

Mike:
Thank you for the "YOUNG" compliment, but I'm not feeling young at all. Everyday something aches in a new spot! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
As for the Prolia.....I'm on a continual every 6 months schedule. Insurance, thank goodness, pays for it. Not an inexpensive drug at all.

I hate when the TV decides to take a vacation on us. Calling a getting a RE-START works sometimes, but usually the service person has to come out and then, like last time, change out cables, etc, etc. Hope your service person gets you UP and RUNNING again.

Today so far is looking really nice outside. I put on long working slacks and a long sleeve shirt to protect me from Mosquitos and Spiders and will be trimming the
evergreen shrubs. Art is home today and does the clean-up of the cuttings!! He's out buying a yard of SOD to fill in a area in the front yard that he PULLED OUT some type of crab-grass or weed that was creeping further and further into the front lawn. SOD is the only way to go for this spot now. Seed would come up and look stringy and like most seed it would have weed seeds in it. You just can't win with WEEDS. They have a mind of their own.

Out of here before I change my mind on the trimming job. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

LU-ANN, you REST UP GIRL! That's a order.

K2 I am doing the same thing with Prolia and the cost is covered by insurance, We have excellant TV service. I did the restart and disconnect yesterday and a few other thing, I'm sure the tech will take care of the problem. I seem to have a new problem every few weeks but so far nothing I can't handle. I hope you got your trimming done without help from the mosquitos and spiders.
Lee, you can ramble on as much as you like, I'm just glad I could be here for you to ramble. I'm very glad she didn't get banged and bruised up more than she did. We have a very dear friend that tripped and fell the same way and it took her months to recover. A good Dr. that you can trust is priceless. Thank you for considering the 3 of us good friends and Karen you too if you are reading this.
It is a beautiful day today, I plan on sitting outside for at least a half hour.
enjoy the rest of the day.

Mike: I did get the FRONT shrubs trimmed and Art was more than kind to clean up the trimmings. (hate that part) No bugs. Just a lot of SUN in the front. Glad I put on the back brace Art uses. It helps give you support when bending to cut those darn shrubs.
The BACKYARD monster shrub-line will have to wait for a CLOUDY-COOL day. I'd never make if it was like todays temps.

Went to Costco later in the later day and YIKES was it busy. I swear they're making the front area of the isles tighter. They put 3 wide pallets of "eye-catcher-specials" and it takes up too much of the space you need to turn those MONSTER Shopping Carts.
So I bought a container with Wild Caught Sardines. I actually like sardines in oil with a sprinkle of salt on top. I don't eat the bone that is in them like my grandpa used to! YUK.
I guess I like some unusual because we had it at home when I was little and growing. Just like I like Smoked Liver Sausage by Kowalski. It's a local brand sausage and lunchmeat company in Hamtramck, a Polish area just outside of Detroit.

Lee: How's Lu-Ann doing tonight?? Hope all is okay and she's not over-doing it.

Good Night Comfort GIF by Lucas and Friends by RV AppStudios

Good morning.
Thanks Kathie and Mike for listening yesterday. :emoticon 0152 heart:
To answer your question Kathie, Lu-Ann had a quieter day yesterday. She doesn’t want to do too much exercise and get her blood pressure up and maybe effect the bruising. My poor girl looks like Rocky Raccoon but fortunately her eyeglasses do hide the bruising a bit. Dee was here for her podiatrist treatment. Because of the PD her toes twist and turn and she can’t do them. Dee is a nurse who has a side business to take care of people who, for whatever reason, can’t manage their own foot care. She’s a super nice lady.
It sounds like you had a productive day in the yard. Neatly trimmed hedge, shrubs and grass always look so nice. So good of Art to follow behind and do the cleanup. We’ve noticed Costco here is doing the same thing! I swear they have made all the aisles a little narrower so they can fit in one more.
Did you get your TV service back up and running Mike? Sometimes the old “rabbit ears” seemed like a good idea. Not many channels but you could always adjust them to pick up something. I remember when they came along with the “rotary antenna”. You had a dial inside that turned the rooftop antenna to get a better signal. We didn’t have one but neighbours did. It was indeed a beautiful day to be outdoors for a bit.
Our good neighbours are away to England for a month for Raj’s sisters wedding. He asked if I could put out his recycling and a bag of garbage he left at the side of the garage. Yesterday I weed whacked around his front porch and garden and ran the lawnmower over his front lawn. I know he will appreciate it. I’ll do it again if it needs it before they get home at the end of the month. Daniel, two doors down, was out while I was cutting Raj’s grass. He looked at me with a big smile and asked “are you lost?”
Wow, look at that. I’ve finished my coffee and it’s almost time to get Ava her breakfast.
You all have a wonderful Saturday.

My POST was here and now it's gone. I pushed a button that made it Poof into cyber-space.

Enjoy your day. Good to hear Lu-Ann is taking care of herself and the nasty bruising. Poor dear.

Be back later to chat again. Now to see if I hit the "POST REPLY" button and not something on my keyboard!! :emoticon 0104 surprised:

Oh Kathie. I can hear Father Dave laughing and telling us why he always did his post in a word processor and copied it to the board. So sorry that your morning post poofed!
My gosh it was busy in town this morning. Aside from the usual Weekend Open Air event we have a Latin Festival and the art show on the grounds of the Fort. We were lucky to get a parking spot for Ava’s walk and for Lu-Ann to feed her chums. (The squirrels). Because it was so busy we went to the next town up, LaSalle, to pick up a few groceries. Can you believe the grocery store was out of tomatoes! It’s tomato season and they had none.
OK, down to the treadmill and the bike to get that exercise done.
Have a great afternoon!

We are starting too get more cherry and grape tomatoes than we usually use. The big boys are not close to being ripe. Lee I wish I could share my tomatoes with you. Our tv is running butbs Fay thinks the tech put in the wrong box, the tv is a little dark on the outside edges. I'm not too happy with the box he put in. I hated those old rabbit ears. when we moved here we got 3 or 4 channels plus 2 pbs channels.
K2, on the upper right hand of the page you are writing on there is a half circle with an arrow head, click on that. 1755989772111.webp (redo button) I just hit the wrong button and lost everything, hit the button and our page came up.. I' glad you got the hedges trimmed without any bites, I used to do the cleanup for Fay also.
Fay was thinking what to have for dinner. We have chocolate pie, pecan pie, coconut pie, white cake, chocolate cake in t h e freezer, I think she could pick something out of that, she also has someother things but they would be down low on my list.
