Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

LEE: I saw this on the way into our subdivision. Thought you’d get a kick out of it since you have AVA!

Karen: Just checked YOUR weather and it would be warm enough for me to get into the pool. 81F and Real Feel 89F @ 3:20 pm Sat. Go get wet girl! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: :clap002:

I don’t see where the sign refers to “dogs” Kathie. Maybe they don’t want toddlers to pee on the plant! Lunch was somewhat disappointing today. The company and laughter more than made up for it.

Quick check in, Barb is still here and will be until she is able to return to work which won't be anytime soon. She was taken off all antibiotics on Thurs & her Midline was removed. We are hoping once all the meds are out of her system she will begin to eat more.
Today was work day at church & then at 9 the Vestry treating all of us workers to breakfast. After the breakfast the Vestry members stayed for our retreat, we are beginning our annual pledge campaign so part of the retreat was a Zoom meeting to help give us ideas on how launch a successful campaign. Got some good ideas and yours truly will be giving a short talk tomorrow morning about what brought me to St Mary's and keeps me coming back.
Sorry I'm not able to keep up with you all better, life just doesn't want to slow down any for me. I do have a standing date now for Monday's at 9, when Cookie, Pamela & I will be walking the trail at Lake Lillian near us.

Karen, what matters to us is that you do let us know how you’re doing. And how Barb is coming along. I like the idea of your standing date for a trail walk. A little “girl time” to laugh and chat.

…And I thought it was foggy yesterday morning! All of the weather services sent Fog Advisories warning of zero visibility until later this morning. So Ava and I only went as far as the coffee maker and back yard.
Upon reflection Kathie, and the location of the sign, why does the mail man pee on that plant? It doesn’t seem to be blocking the mailbox.
OH OH, HE’S GOING TO RAMBLE ON ABOUT THE MAIL. Speaking of mail, I suspect we will be headed for another disruption of our postal service before too long. Sadly, nobody will care. Back in the day the post office was the only way for customers to get letters, bills, magazines and parcels. When I was a mailman there was rarely a day that I didn’t have something for every one of the homes and businesses I delivered to. With the advent of the internet and Amazon most of that has dried up. Last week Lu-Ann and I got 6 flyers and 1 piece of addressed “junk mail” delivered to our mail compartment. It doesn’t even come to the door anymore. In the same week we got 2 utility bills, a bunch of cards and access to a couple of magazines on line. The times they are a changin’. The postal union needs to change their demands too. WHEW, HE’S DONE.
You’ll do great addressing the congregation this morning Karen. I know it’s church but I’m suspecting a round of applause will be in order.
Kathie, I hope your choir lifts the hearts and souls of everyone in attendanc.
Mike, the weather looks like it might be a fine afternoon to sit out for a bit. With a coffee and a sweet of some sort.
With those early morning thoughts, I wish you all a safe and wonderful Sunday.

Good Sunday to you Wrabbits!

I'm watching St Mary's Episcopal church and hoping to see our Karen speak.
I might have to re-watch the service from the beginning. At the end of the service I think I heard Karen start to say "Go in Peace" and then the video stopped and cut off. Bummer.

Karen: The choir along with the lady playing the guitar did a good job while I watched. :clap002:
Hope your annual pledge campaign goes well. Never easy doing that job.

Lee: I got a kick out of your "Mailbox" comments. I'm thinking that the Sunflower isn't going to make it to being too much bigger "with or without the sign". Looks like it got planted too late in the season.

All is good over here with Mr Art. He's taken to drinking a TAD more water to get more HYDRATED.

I'm out of here for now. Gotta go enjoy the nice day.

Our own ANGEL singing in church choir today.
Bless you for ALL you do Karen!

Karen is to the left of this picture. Sitting to the right of the man with wide shoulders and bald head!

Kathie, no need to re-watch the service, I ended up not having to give a talk today after all, whew, not disappointed in that at ALL!!
We've had a lot of compliments from people in the church about the new music format, Brian was a wonderful organist, but most of the time you could barely hear the choir singing when he played, people actually seem to enjoy the simpler guitar & music style.

Karen I’m glad I didn’t miss your talk in church today. Bummer you didn’t get to speak.
I agree with the folks that liked the new guitar format. The organ player was just too loud.

Not sure I explained just which person was Karen in my earlier post picture of the choir.

Here’s a close up. Hope this works.

Detroit Lions beat the pants off of the Chicago Bears. Yippee.
Where’s Dave for me to brag too. :(

I got up earlier than usual but felt very tired so after breakfast I sat for two hours. I hope I feel a lttle better. Fay is off getting some birthday cards, one is for a dancer from our dancing days, He will be 95 years old.
Micheal was here this weekend doing a few thing for us. He hopefully brought out a lot of pictures that were hidden in t he computer.
Lee, we usually get at least 2 pieces of junk mail every day. We donated to a few charities and the junk mail started/ It was a great afternoon to sit out side, nice and warm with a gentle breeze.
EThanks for the pictures K2. Fay and I were sitting out side and neither one of us could remember when the Tierneys moved in across the street from us. Helen died Sept. 2003 and Tom married Charlotte about a year later. I'm guessing we have known the Tierneys about 40-45 years.
While we were sitting there I mentioned that our street is like Death Valley. Every once in a while a car goes by.
Enjoy the rest of the evening.

Death Valley Education GIF by DIIMSA Stock

Mike I had to laugh about what you said about your street being like Death Valley.
I’ve told Art many times while sitting on the deck that our backyard is as quiet as a Cemetery until the ’few’ working people come home and let their dogs out and the dogs start to bark when the owners don’t let them back in right away.

We’re watching ‘The Marlow Murder Club on Masterpiece’. PBS.
We have to have the closed-captions on to read along because of the heavy accents.
Have a good sleep everyone!
Lee: Be safe if you walk Ava in the morning.

I did figure out which one of the singers was our Karen Kathie. Thank you. Good to know Art hasn’t had any more “spells”.
I suspect that the acoustic approach to the choir would appeal to a lot of people Karen. You may be relieved that your chat was canceled but I know that it would have been warmly received.
I hope you feel better too Mike. It got up to 78F but felt like 82F earlier this afternoon. That’s a long time to know and keep in touch with someone.
Have a good evening everyone.

I forgot to hit the post button for the above last evening. Ooops.
It’s now Monday.
We did get out for our early walk Kathie. Well, later than I’d like because there’s many other people out walking, walking dogs and going to work and school. Ava finds all of the activity distracting!
The fog warning popped up just as we were headed out but it was OK in our neighborhood. We cut it just a little short because the fog was indeed rolling in from The River.
Today our dance class starts up again for 6 weeks.
Not much else at this point other than to wish you all a good Monday.

Tired Bugs Bunny GIF
Good morning my Wrabbit friends!
I’m enjoying myself out on the deck this morning. Only SOUND out here earlier was a Blue Jay squawking. He flew away.
I spent too much time this morning calling to change Art’s medical appts.
They are now all this week:
Wednesday. - Dentist for final restoration of tooth. :buckteeth:
Friday - Put on heart monitor patch. :emoticon 0152 heart:
Sunday - MRI of his brain. We’ll see if anything is really in it! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
Lee: Being so close to the River you must be used to getting FOG rolling in quite often. Good you know enough to turn back and go towards home.
Mike: How you feeling today. Hope you can get outside for awhile today and enjoy the Indian Summer Day!
Karen: How many PETS are in your house right now? I think Barb had a cat if I’m not mistaken???? Hope you have a good easy going week. If that is even possible. Hugs to you.
Have a good day folks.
It’s so peaceful outside here right now. Sure wish I was able to just kick back and take a “Cat Nap”! But that just never happens. Ha ha.

MIKE: I meant to comment on Tom T getting married so quickly a year after his wife passed. My thought was he just didn’t want to COOK for himself! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: I wonder if the new bride was a former girlfriend? Glad it worked out for him.
Art is working on putting our “wheelbarrow” back together. It needed a new inner tube In the small tire! He got that done and then saw that some bolts on the under side where the handles attach needed to be replaced and he’s on his way to ACE HARDWARE about a mile from our house. He loves to support the local stores over the Big-Box companies.
It reminds me of our TONY and how he loved to go to Harbor Freights with his grandson Benjamin. Miss him and Dave big time. Good people.

Tom met Charlotte after Helen died. He told his brother I did my grieving while Helen was alive. What ever the reason, I hope they are both happy, we enjoy their coming here every other week. I'm feelng much better today.
Lee, when I was working I had to drive a short distance along the river. It would be clear, hit the river patch and could not see 20 feet in front of me.
Karen, I liked the picture of you singing.

We Will Miss You Bad News GIF
My dearest best friend ever, ELAINE, is going into Hospice Care tomorrow. I‘m beside myself after hearing this from her daughter Stacey who is in flight from Santa Barbara as I post this and going directly to her Mom’s room at the hospital when her plane lands.

I knew Elaine was not making any progress, but she always managed to at least get back home. Just too many health issues that her body can’t handle.

Say a prayer for her that she will be at peace soon.

I’ll be going to the hospital to be with Stacey and see if I can help with anything. My daughter, Jill, and Stacey grew up together from the time they could barely walk. We have deep history with the entire family.

Okay, I wanted to let you all know just why I will be less than active in our Hutch. Along with Art’s 3 appointments this week and helping Stacey I’ll be let’s say busy. I promise NOT to disappear for too long. You guys are my SANITY. I’ll check in when I can.

Hugs and Love…….
ALWAYS SOMETHING! No kidding. :(

I’m so sorry to hear the news about Elaine Kathie. I know you mention her often. Hugs and prayers to all. Now, please take your own advice to Karen and make sure you have a little time for yourself too.
Good to know you’re feeling better Mike.I’d say Tom and Charlotte are, after 20+ years happy. We have a lot of farm fields around and the ground fog can build in and around them too.
How are things in Belleview Karen?
Everyone, please have as good a day as you possibly can.

So sorry about Elaine Kathie, prayers to everyone, As Lee said, take care of yourself and try to not do too much.
I got a much needed haircut this morning, this evening we are going to a party for a 95 year old that danced in our senior citizen's group. He used to be a good dancer but is now using a walker. He used to drive a very large pickup truck but his wife does all the driving now.
Hope all is well Karen.
Have a good day.

Good wishes, thoughts and prayers going out to all of you this morning.
It is supposed to feel like the upper 80’s or low 90’s here today. I hope our weather extends to all of you and you all get a chance to enjoy even a few minutes outside.
