Good morning again....change in plans for today....Barb decided last night that she didn't know whether she wanted to replace the back door now or the front door....she had talked to the guy about both...the front will also involve building a new deck & steps...which he has not given her a price on yet...I told her to do which ever she wanted...but to get the price for the front first as that may influence her choice...I wasn't to upset with the change in plans as it made my day easier...Buddy has a vet appt. at the opposite end of town so it worked out much better....

Kathie, good luck getting the new chair put together...I do not have any luck buying computer chairs unless I can sit & try them out first...I ordered a couple online after I moved in here & sent them all back...which is a pain cause you have to put them together & then take them apart...
Not sure what I am going to fix in the air fryer first...but frozen left over pizza is a top contender

Dave, good luck with the Dr. appts....hopefully this puts you one step closer to your surgery....
Wow...that was some major damage to the Vet office...did they not have any heat on at all? Or no one checking on the place?

Pat, yummm...your french onion soup sounds really good....that was another go to item I would order on cruises...not sure why I never think to order it around here...love the cheese topping!
Hope the new med's are helping with the breathing & congestion!

Lee, good for you on not getting just 1 but TWO years of rentals booked, really nice to have something to look forward to again isn't it! I wish I could figure out how to cut trim pieces....I bought a miter box & have watched You Tube videos out the ying-yang and still just can NOT get the hang of it...bugs me to know end cause I know it's probably just some simple little process I am not getting!

Got outside this morning while it was still fairly cool & got the rest of the back patio cleaned up...sprayed for weeds & re-potted a couple plants...I have to get some pipe & re-route the down spout in the back so it takes the water out into the alley behind the patio...then I have a few plants that have outgrown my biggest pots & will get put into the ground next....next cool day the whole patio area get's pressure washed again....last time I had it done I paid one of the people in here $30 & they used a gas pressure washer to do it...looked great....but some people got all prissy in here & complained they were "running a business" in here & the board told them they couldn't do it any more....nosey britches....now I think I'm going to take my 2nd cup of coffee out to my pretty clean porch & relax for a bit....enjoy the day gang!

Good morning Wrabbits.

Dave: Is there any reason you haven't gotten your vaccine yet? Do you have to call to get a appointment? What is the procedure in Ohio?
I know here in our communities it’s a toss up. You call a number at 8:30 am and the line is busy, busy, busy and you keep re-dialing and hope you get connected to one of the 50 operators. They are now booking 2 weeks out instead of just one week in Macomb Twp. I have friends that use both cell phones and a land line to try and get connected. It’s a Lotto for sure.
Hope you and Kathi can get your shots soon.

Lee: Happy OIL changing day! Do you miss getting things done for a discount at where you use to do the car shuttling?
Congrats on booking all those Florida vacation times! Hopefully you have a clause in case you have to cancel. I can’t think that far ahead. It’s hard enough to go month to month right here!

Karen: Can’t wait until you give us a report on the new AirFryer when you get it. What do you think you will make in it the first time around?

BB: Hope your breathing is getting better. But I’m thinking you’ll have to wait until all those trees and plants have opened up. Keep changing those furnace filters and keep the windows closed. But I’m thinking you do all that and more already.

Not sure what I’ll be doing today. I need to figure out why the “SOUND“ doesn’t work on this new Laptop! It’s most likely some little thing, but for me to find out just WHAT it is will drive me nuts. I promise NO MORE SCREAMING!

We have a huge heavy box in the foyer with a new Computer Chair in it waiting to be put together. It took both of us to get this box into the house. Who thought a chair could be so heavy! This is the first new chair in 30 years. We had a new one in our old house and 2 hand me downs. It was time to BUY a new one. Got this at Costco. It’s unreal how much they want for a basic ugly black chair!

Art has a doctors appointment at 1:00 today. Has something going on with his stomach. We got a REFERRAL from a doctor friend at church to go see a GI specialist. Amazingly we were able to get a appointment quickly. (got a cancellation) We skipped going to see his primary internist because we know he would just send us to a specialist. I hate wasting time going through those steps. Kind of like what DAVE has gone through to get his surgery set up.
I just hope is a simple issue. Maybe it’s ULSERS from living with me! Ha ha.

Bill/Rita: Hope you have a good day over your way and can get out in the sunshine. Is there a nice pool area where you can sit around and maybe even get in a hot tub and help heal those sore ribs.

Have a good day and you know the drill..........just do it. Later gang.

There is a pool on the property, almost just below us (we are on the 2nd floor of a 10 story building) but the winds have been so strong and the temps relatively cool that we have been sitting on the screened in porch that looks out on the rough ocean instead. I have yet to see more than a dozen or so people at the pool and only minimal number of people(mostly families with small children, heading out to the beach.
I know that the pandemic has effected television show productions but when a program that debuted on Super Bowl Sunday is already airing repeats, something is definitely out of whack. What also never ceases to amaze me is that when I turn on shows that I rarely watch, I find that I have already seen that one but when I turn on one of those stations that broadcast day long episodes of series, shows that I thought I religiously watched when they were on prime time (shows like "Blue Bloods" it seems that there are dozens of episodes that I never saw before.

Good morning, gang! Got a slow start this morning, as it was late when we g ot to bed last night. The meds didn't get here until going on 11:00!! As soon as I saw them, I knew it was the same thing I had last time but had been filled at the local pharmacy. I had to pay what insurance didn't cover. Now doing this through Celebration Hospital like the doctor did, I didn't have to pay anything and insurance will pick up the whole thing!! Yippy! Now I'm just waiting for the antibiotic the doctor ordered which the pharmacy chain in this area was all out of. That will be in today. I hope.

Kathie - Believe me, all doors and windows are tightly closed and Bert changes the filter on the AC often. The trouble is that every time you step outside you get pollen on your clothes and in your hair. That mango tree next door is not helping being fully in bloom. Plus the oaks and grasses are right up there at the top of the list for pollen right now.
Yes, I put cheese on top of the bread in the crocks of onion soup and melted it under the broiler. It was nice and gooey and thick. That's tonight's dinner once again and there will still be some of the broth left. I think I'll freeze that and just caramelize more onion next time we're in the mood for onion soup.
Good luck to Art getting his stomach checked out. I hope it's something minor.

Dave - So you don't like onion soup or is it that you don't like onions? I guess you wouldn't like the German sheet pan onion cake that we make either. Too bad as it's really delicious once you get used to the whole idea.

Lee - Happy oil change day! They're building a new place down here called Take 5. You just sit in your car and the change your oil very quickly. Never heard of them before, but the building is going up pretty quickly, so time will tell.

Karen - Good idea that Barb get the price for the front door first. You sure had a busy morning already with all that work on your patio and with your plants. I have a number of plants that need repotting too, but that needs to wait a bit longer.

Well I never got this finished before noon, once again. Someone wanted to have lunch, so I had to cook some scrambled eggs for him, as he said he was starving!! Poor man is wasting away to nothing. Ha Ha, if you believe that!!

Time now for me to find something to do this afternoon. While it's nice outside, I don't want to mess with the pollen, so I think it's a good day for me to curl up and read for a while. You all have a great afternoon and stay safe! :)

And we’re back. I met Lu-Ann down by the hair salon with the pups. We had a coffee out on the patio of Caffeine & Co. with the pups and then took Katie and Ava for their walk. I got the mirror up but have to tend to the corners. There’s a wee gap that will need a little caulking to fill them in.
Oil place went off without a hitch. Yes Kathie I do miss my “employee discount” on service Hopefully the sound is just a simple “click” on the screen somewhere. Geez, you best trade Art in while you can still get something for him! All kidding aside we do hope it’s nothing serious.
Never heard of Take 5 either Pat. Bert’s lunch sounded good. Funny about your meds. Free through the hospital, a fee through a script.
I think Darrin just used screws that were too short Dave. With the constant breeze here they pulled out and snapped. That won’t be a concern now! Everyone at our new vets office here are female. All three doctors and all of the techs.
Well now, ain’t that a fine looking gizmo Karen. Which colour did you get? I guess if it’s going to “live” in a cupboard when not in use colour doesn’t matter.
Bill, sometimes it’s so long between new episodes of programs we simply lose interest. Thank heavens for Netflix and so on...
Yes, we are booked in for the next two winters. We are going a week earlier in mid January and coming home mid March. That should be ahead of the early spring break crowds. We can cancel both bookings up to a month before we arrive with no penalty. Sunshine doesn’t even want a deposit as we stayed with her before.
Our vaccine rollout is done by age. You register on line when it’s your turn and the health department calls you with your appointment time, date and place. Currently it’s those 80 and over. Then they will add 75 - 80, 70 - 75, 65 - 70 and so on. Looks like at least June before I see a shot.
Oh look, it’s wine o’clock. Better run.
Stay safe my friends.

Mitred corners are really pretty easy for flat materials Karen. BUT...if it comes to ceiling coving or fancy trim, I’m out! Yet you watch the videos and they make it look as a easy as falling off a chair.

I see a video call in your future...I can manage the falling off a chair part pretty well....but cutting a simple inside corner on a piece of base board...not happening....

Tried out the new air fryer...it's a dandy little machine...but whether it will actually get much use remains to be seen...Chicken nuggets at lunch came out pretty good...and the warmed up pizza was great...going to take me a little work to figure out the timings on re-heating...but they have a website I'm going to check out....oh & Lee....I got the black one...it matches the rest of my appliances...

I may have messed up my brother's birthday present to me...got a call this morning from a lady who said she was with Knapp Winery in upstate New York...she told me that someone had ordered 12 bottles of wine for me & she was calling to verify the selections they made were wines I would like....sounded a little sketchy to me...especially when she wouldn't tell me who had placed the order...I even asked her if I gave her a name if she would tell me if I was right...and she said No....I went over the wines with her...telling her a few choices I was not fond of...then she told me the person who ordered it had also signed me up for their wine club...I told her I was not interested & to call whoever placed the order & refund their money...I got to thinking it "could" have been my brother...especially since our last name is Knapp...but I didn't want to take a chance of it being a scam & ending up owning a bunch of money for this wine...better safe than sorry....but dang...that would have been a great party...

Good.......Wednesday?.......morning!

"Dave: Is there any reason you haven't gotten your vaccine yet? Do you have to call to get a appointment? What is the procedure in Ohio?" Yes, and it's SOOO frustrating. There is no consistency in snagging a Carona vaccine. We have to check every drug store, county, and city website to see if any of them have the vaccine and if they do, hope you can get your name on the list before someone beats you to it. Just meeting the age requirement doesn't seem to count. And these places may not get any more vaccines for weeks. So you chase down other web sites.

KC; I too was curious about what's the first thing you'll cook in your air fryer. Chicken nuggets and heated up pizza sounds good to me.In answer to your question about the Vet's; It is a heated building, but all the damage occurred at night when nobody was there. Water pipe broke first? Furnace went out causing the water pipe to break? Or was the weight from snow and ice on the roof, causing part of it to collapse, the beginning of all the other destruction?

Lee; I too find that cutting angles is a pain.

Nice to see you popping in, Bill.

I like a nice big onion slice on a hamburger BB, but I'm not too keen on cooked onions. Happy that you got your antibiotic. I lucked out when I was at the family doctor's yesterday. She gave me over 500 dollars worth of samples of a highly expensive drug I take. Not often do we leave a doctor's office showing a profit.

I happen to think Pepe Le Pew cartoons were funny.

Good Morning Wrabbits! It's suppose to get up to 69F today here in our fair Township! So far our furnace is still pumping away this morning keeping us warm inside here! Whew.
The snow is gone on the grass and I saw a Cardinal at the feeder wondering where his WHITE BACKGROUND went to? LOL

DAVE: Good for you getting some FREE MEDS. Always a plus these days.
I did get the SOUND on this new laptop to work last night. Just needed to flick a tab and it was all A-Okay. All I need to get is a new KEYBOARD since we have this hooked-up so Art can use the new HUGE Monitor Screen! Once I get that it will be just like we had with the old TOWER Computer. (Hard to explain on here, but trust me all is good)
I do need to learn how some of the things on here work. Lots of new and improved stuff on here. I really want to see how to do a letter or note and create a ENVELOPE. No rush.

Lee: You should have a good day for a walk with the pups. Let us know if the ICE is still floating down the River.

Karen: Good for you trying out your AirFryer. Can't wait until you put something like a pork chop or hamburger in that gizmo. In other words, something raw! Hope your backyard project works out for you.
And I think it shouldn't be any of the HOA's business what that fella does with his time in the community. I'd have to bring that up at a meeting and end that
nonsense. He's not disturbing anybody anymore than if you had a OUTSIDE FIRM come in and do your deck. He needs to get a professional sign and slap it on his car or truck and have a BRIGHT ORANGE T-Shirt with a Company Name on it. People need to mind their own business. Too bad you're on the "Board" now and have to follow the silly rules.....if there really are rules about that. I'd be checking through the Bi-Laws.

BB: You did a good job telling us about your FRENCH ONION SOUP. I bought 3 pounds of nice looking onions (that came to 3 Spanish Onions) and will attempt to make the soup today. Even bought the cheese and bread for the top. Only thing I don't have is those cool looking brown bowls to put it in. We'll have to do with what we have.
I'll report back as to how it works out. I do need to run out and buy some SHERRY! I looked for it at the Italian Mkt, but they didn't have any. I'm trying to follow this one recipe I found and I can always use the rest of the Sherry in other sauces. Beef Stroganoff comes to mind!

Art did well at the new doctors yesterday. Seems like our church doctor friend called and had him get in a week earlier. I thought they just changed the appt because there was a cancellation! How nice of him to do that for Art. The new doctor is a young female that spent at least 45 mins with Art. WOW.....now when does that ever happen. She was delightful. She sent him to our local Hospital annex to get a Stomach X-ray and blood work. That went like clockwork. She must have put "STAT" on the orders because when we got home there was a report on his hospital chart explaining the results of the X-Ray.

A large Hiatal Hernia. Yes, I had to look it up. She sent out a prescription to Express Scripts for a med that will calm his stomach area when the pressure or gripping happens. Meanwhile, he will be getting a Colonoscopy within the next few weeks. It will happen sooner than most because Art has had his Covid Shots and doesn't have to go through some type of pre-testing. This doctor so far is doing everything I was expecting her to do. She was impressed that at Art's age he takes no prescription drugs! :emoticon 0100 smile:

After I make the soup I plan on doing a nice walk around the big block. I'm going to try and add to my walk every time I go out to build up miles. Gotta get rid of some of this EXCESS WINTER COVID WEIGHT! Can't hide inside all Spring & Summer this year. Ha Ha.

Bill: Hope that Rita's RIBS are healing. Does she need to see the doctors down there to get another x-ray to see if they are healing correctly. 7 Ribs is a lot to worry about. OUCH. Hope the winds die down and you can get to go walk the beach and sit around the pool. Just be careful where you STEP and WALK.

Out of here for now. Enjoy your day.

We had Salmon fish last night and it was a tad more fragrant than last weeks. I had to burn some candles. Can't wait until I can do that outside on the deck grill. Hate the smell of FISH in the house. Yup, add that to the list of "SMELLS" that annoy me. Ha Ha. :emoticon 0136 giggle:

I too find that cutting angles is a pain.
Then keep your fingers out of the way of the saw blade Dave! Always nice when you get "freebies" from the doctor. Especially when, it seems, you have to pay for so many of them. You'll have to send her a nice box of Easter chocolates or something.
Now Karen, you be careful that the busy bodies don't think that you're running a business tidying up your patio! Have you heard from your brother about "the gift" yet? I don't blame you for being cautious.
We're supposed to hit the mid 60's Kathie. Funny about the ice in the river. One day there's lots of ice. The next day there's nothing. Then it's back again. I guess as it breaks up up-river it effects how much we see. I love this tune. Please share it with Art in honour of his upcoming "procedures"...

Pat, we love French Onion Soup! We have a set of four little white French Onion Soup bowls that came with "frozen" FOS that we got at the grocery many years ago. Still use them to this day.
Lu-Ann is on her call with the yoga gals. We'll walk the pups after that. I managed to get their teeth done, toe nails trimmed and vacuum after breakfast. Plus a coffee! I was putting the garbage out this morning and our neighbour Kam was coming in. She had dropped my little buddy Avraj off at the bus stop. She had baby Avleen with her. Cute as a button - from a distance - from what I could see. Avleen arrived just before Christmas. We have such nice young families on either side of us.
I have a couple of small things to tend to so I better get going!
Remember, if your hands aren't dry and flaky, you're not washing them enough.
Be good and stay safe my friends.

Don't know if I should say good morning or good afternoon, as I have no idea how long I'll be rambling here or how I'll get interrupted before I'm finished, so take your pick!! LOL

Kathie - I've had the onion soup bowls for at least 45 years and before this week, had only used them once but I knew that at some point I would use them. Bert said it was the best onion soup he had ever had and that was very surprising, as he usually orders it a lot when we go out to eat. I have a circular cutter that cut the slices of of cheese to fit perfectly on top of the bread before putting it under the broiler. The cat gets the leftover cheese in little bits afterwards. A win/win for all of us!!
Glad Art's doctor visit went well and that he likes this new doctor. Sounds very efficient. I had a friend with one of those types if hernias and she managed to keep it under control for the rest of her life.

Dave - I'm not a fan of raw onion on a hamburger, but do like grilled onions on the burger. I love diced raw onion on a chili dog though.
Ya gotta love free meds at the doctor's. My pulmonologist always gives free "samples" of the breathing med I take. It comes as a 15 day supply, so I'm a happy camper when I get at least 2 to see me through a whole month. Toward the end of the year when I fall into that damn donut hole, they usually take sympathy on me and give me 2 months worth. Then I really smile!

Karen - Glad you at lease tried out your new air fryer. I would like it for making french fries or maybe fried shrimp. I doubt I'll get one though. Just like everyone raves about the instant pot that's so popular. Just before that I had bought a new pressure cooker which I really love, so I'm sticking with that. Besides, I have no more room for more appliances in this kitchen. Heck, I insisted I had to have an immersion blender a few months ago and got one. It still hasn't made it out of the box. Bert reminds me of this fact often these days.

Bill - Good to hear from you. Enjoy that balcony and looking at the ocean. I sent an email to Rita yesterday. We want to see about booking a cruise for next March on Harmony again. Hopefully, it will be safe to cruise again by then. Prices sure are going up and from what I could see, cabin bookings are filling up fast. Figured I better jump in before the ship is full. Couldn't find one covering our anniversary though, as that one wasn't even listed. Either it's already sold out or it's going to be a private charter. Oh well, any cruise would work for us now just to get back on the water again.

Lee - Loved your little song! That one always makes me laugh. You sure were a busy camper this morning, but then again, you are also an early riser. Good for you and I hope you enjoy your walk today.

Time for me to get to work. I want to bake some cookies for tonight when the gang will be here for dinner. :chef: Planning to fix a charcuterie board for them to munch on while dinner is in the oven. Taking the easy way out all around tonight!

Well, I see Good Afternoon won out after all. Blame Melissa as she kept messaging me while she was on her lunch break. Have a fabulous rest of the day, gang. I hope you're doing something that's more fun than running to any doctors. Take care and stay safe on and all! :)

One last thing before I get out of here. Have any of you ever seen this when you've been in the Orlando area? Not a bad place to eat either!

Got the test results back from the Blood work for Art. Can't figure them out at all because I'm only a Part Time Doctor! Ha Ha.

Pat: So I made the French Onion Soup. My goodness what took me all these years to make this wonderful soup. EASY as PIE. Hardest part is stirring the onions to get them to caramelize. Which too about 50 mins. I set the timer for 45 mins and they needed a extra 5 mins to get nice and brown. I tasted it and it was good. Next time I will not add the 1 teaspoon of sugar to help caramelize faster. It doesn't need it.
Good for you thinking ahead and booking a cruise. I certainly hope things are safe by next March! :crazy01:
Pat maybe you could make those ROSES out of Salami for that C-Board!! Remember, wrap the slices around a wine glass!!

Lee: Fantastic little tune. I'll be sure to show it to Art. Just got the call to schedule his Colonoscopy March 24th....11:00 am. It could have been March 17th (next week), but that's the day after his Cataract post op appt and he said he thought that would be pushing things a bit.

Karen: Hope that drain project worked out EASY for you.

It got up to 68F here earlier. Not sure what it is now.

Later...........

Hot Damn! After hours and hours on the computer, Kathi snagged us a couple of appointments to get the Covid vaccination next Tuesday. It'll be in a tiny town at a Walmart a bit over an hour from here. (Moderna version.) Our appointments are 2 hours apart, even though only a few seconds passed between entering my name and then hers.

It all came down to being on the computer checking available appointments when a few popped up. An hour later, there were no openings left in Ohio. What a disorganized way to disperse vaccinations.

In the next few days we're going for a drive to find out where this Walmart is.

Other good news from yesterday; We signed the papers and paid for the installation of carpeting in the living room and hallway. About 15 hundred bucks. Now we just wait for the carpet to come in. My military discount at Lowe's saved us a bit over $100.

Just love that picture of the Lobster-Car, BB.

K2 & Lee, we too got into the mid to upper 60's yesterday. Sure was nice. But also something we all know not to get used to.

So how's the work going on the back patio, KC?

Karhi planted some tulip and daffodil bulbs last falI. In the last couple of days a few of them have started poking out of the ground.

Booze and grocery pick-up in just a bit.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ah yes.......In the next few weeks Kathi and I can get back to licking doorknobs, just like the good old days.

Good morning!

Dave, congrats to you & Kathi for finally snagging an appt. to get your shot....I guess there really are states with a worse roll out system than Florida....who would have thought?

Kathie, wow....all this work you are having done on Art makes me wonder if you are getting ready to trade him in for a newer model or put him on the market....;) j/k....sounds like he's found another great doctor & those are rare any more!

Lee, Sounds like you are pretty happily settled into to the "burg"....always nice having good neighbors!

Pat, congrats on getting a cruise booked....I haven't checked prices in a long time...I'm really afraid to look...Royal hadn't gotten pretty pricy before all this I can only imagine how expensive they are now...

Well...as expected yesterday's project did NOT go as planned...went to the tag office 1st...got there at 8:10 and there were about a doz. people waiting on the sidewalk & the inside was full...they only let so many in at a time for social distancing....an hour later I finally had my new tag....
Headed to Lowes...where once again things they said online were available were no where to be found in the store....picked up what I thought would work only to find out later that of course it wouldn't...ordered a couple more parts online last night & picked them up....and first thing this morning got the new drain put together...it's semi buried until we get a good rain & I can check it out to make sure it has enough slope & no leaks...
It was my brother who had ordered the wine....he texted me yesterday morning....I felt so bad..he really wanted to surprise me...then when I turned it down he thought it was because I didn't want it...I told him it that wasn't the reason, that I was concerned it was some kind of scam...he told me to go to the website & pick out a bottle of wine I wanted & he would get it...so I did...I sent him the name of 3 that sounded good & told him to pick one so it could still be a surprise...I was telling Jane about all this & we both kind of said at the same time...knowing Ed...he will buy all 3....
It's beautiful outside today & I'm really thinking I should start pressure washing the back patio....I think I'll fix another cup of coffee first & see if the idea goes away....later gang!

Good morning, everyone! As Karen said, it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood and each day this week is going to get even warmer. I love this time of the year. Too bad I can't really enjoy it due to there being pollen covering everything on the lanai.

Nothing really planned for today. Might go to the Grille for dinner tonight. They've got a couple of specials we like, but unfortunately they did not plan well for Fridays in Lent. The specials all contain meat.

Dave - So glad you and Kathi were able to snag appointments for next week. People here are still having to play the game to find a place to get an appointment. They've just started giving teachers the vaccine. Elaine got lucky and got a date the first day. Unfortunately, she had to cancel as she had to have a tooth pulled that day and now is going to end up having to wait until all the work in her mouth is done. Watch licking those door knobs just yet. After your 2nd shot, you still need to wait about 3 weeks to be fully covered, or so they say.

Karen - As usual, you're trying to put all of us to shame with your continuous list of projects you keep coming up with. Sorry your brother's surprise backfired on you, but that's so sweet that he still plans to surprise you with some wine. It's going to take a bit for that new drain to really do it's stuff, as there's no rain in sight. Maybe if you're pressure cleaning the patio enough water will run into it, so you can complete that little project.

Kathie - Our governor announced that senior citizens who are fully vaccinated may now get to spend time with family and friends without anyone having to wear masks! You're also allowed to hug them too! While we've seen all our kids and grandkids during this time, some of them have been paranoid about being near us. Glad that's able to change now!

Lee - Sounds like you picked the perfect place for you to live with really great neighbors and friends nearby. Good for you!! We played BOOM again last night and once again, we lost to the younger crowd. It came down to both teams battling over the same category and the questions were very hard. They finally came up with 2 right answers to win.

Better get a move on and at least make myself look busy. Or I could just go curl up with my book. Such difficult choices!! Have a good day, gang, and behave! :)

Hi gang! Where does the time go these days??
Got up at 7:00 am and it was still 60F outside. All night it stayed that temp.
But it will change the next few days. Suppose to get rain. 70's coming one day next week then back to high 45's. It's okay, all the snow has melted and we've managed to LIVE through the worst of Winter. Thank goodness is was a mild one. My snow removal guy made out like a bandit this year. Oh well, you win some years and lose some when contracting for the snow removal.

Karen: Good to know that your brothers gift was FOR REAL. I'm sure he'll make it up to you and soon you'll have wine delivered. I still think you did the right thing when you told the lady to cancel the order. It sounded fishy to

Keep a positive attitude on that project with the draining out back. I bet you nailed it this time around. And make sure to run the POWER WASHER as long as you can to bug the crap out of the lady that didn't want the resident to do the work for you. I feel that needs to be changed at one of your HOA BOARD meetings and then voted on. Just doesn't make sense to me or Art.

Dave: Kudo's to you guys getting your Vaccine appointments set up. It doesn't matter how far you have to drive. It's worth it to be protected. Do they give you the 2nd shot appointment after you get the lst one? Here they give you the 2nd one at the place you get your first one and you DON'T HAVE TO CALL IN AGAIN. Thank goodness.
Nothing better than a NEW CAR SMELL or NEW CARPET or FRESH PAINT JOB.

Pat: Making that Onion soup was easier than most soups I make. It was fantastic. I even went out and bought the Dry Sherry. I added 4Tbspoons instead of just 2. Ha Ha

By the way....I think it's great that Art is getting all this stuff done and checked out so fast. I got a call back from the Dr this morning and after she saw the X-Ray results she wanted to add another test while he's under for the Colonoscopy. It's the one they put through your mouth and look around your stomach with a camera on the end of it. That's a great test to have done since he is having the cramps in his stomach. Good call on her part. Might as well get his monies worth while he's knocked out in LaLa Land for the colon test. Easy for me to say! Ha ha

Lee: I think it's great you have YOUNG neighbors on both sides of your house. At least you'll see some activity going on nice days when kids are out playing, instead of DEAD QUIET of old folks doing nothing! We have more and more younger people moving into our subs as the old ones either die or move into Assisted Living places. It's so quiet at time around here it drives you nuts! Well, not really................but it does get very quiet at times.

Out of here for now. Still trying to learn this new Microsoft 10 program. They'll be selling Mircosoft 15 and I'll still be learning how to navigate around here. I HATE CHANGE. :surprisedhn:

Pat, could be the reason the Grille has meat dishes on Special for tonite is because it's Thursday....not Friday....you're welcome...:D

Kathie....it is actually in our HOA by laws & regulations that you can't run a business out of your house....I do think they were being a bit picky about Paul & Deb doing the pressure washing...but it is what it is....and anyone doing work in here is supposed to be licensed & insured too....

Stick a fork in me...I am done!! Got half the patio pressure washed...will try to get the other half done in the morning....depends on how sore I am later on...thank goodness I've got a new bottle of Aleve...
