Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

I've got a new bottle of Aleve...
Better you should have a new bottle of wine! But that’s on the way from Ed. Good to know the current project has been checked off the list. I agree about them being picky because a guy wanted to earn a couple of bucks. Does the term “cash under the table” come to mind?
Dave, having scooped those vaccines you should buy a lottery ticket! Dr Fauci says you can lick all the doorknobs you want. Just keep your mask on. That seems like a pretty fair price on the carpet.

Face Mask GIF by GIPHY News

I almost gagged reading about that procedure Kathie. I stay awake for my colonoscopy but I’d want to be really out for the tube down the throat. Young neighbours can be a blessing and a curse. I suppose they say the same thing about us old farts.
Tomorrow is remote trivia day here Pat. That is, as Karen pointed out, on Friday. I don’t know what we’ll play as we’ve played Boom three weeks in a row.
Not much going on here today. We wanted to get the pups out this morning before it rained. We got half way around the Navy Yard and... By the time we got home it had stopped so we walked them at the big park by us. Right now it’s teasing 70F and the sun is back out.
You all stay safe and well. We’ll see you tomorrow!

Karen - That meat special is not just for today. They only do 1 appetizer special and dinner special for Thursday through Sunday. Period. Sure, I could go tomorrow and have fish & chips or a shrimp dish, but I've had both often in the past year. Friends are also going tonight, so that makes it even better!

Kathi - Anything else you want the doctor to check out on Art while he's in la la land? Beginning to sound like an all over engine check up!!! LOL :D

Lee: Never rained here all day. Was suppose to do that in the early afternoon. Now they say maybe around 11pm tonight (Thurs). It was sunny and 70F. Going down to mid 45's for a week in a few days.
Bless you for being awake during your colonoscopy! WHY. That stuff they give you to put you in LaLa land is what Michael Jackson use to take to sleep. WOW.....love the drifting feeling when it starts to kick in. No wonder the he used that all the time.

Karen: Glad you caught PAT trying to skip a day in this week. I had to look at my huge calendar to make sure it was really THURSDAY. Ha Ha. Another Tony moment. Glad you got 1/2 of your patio done. It doesn't seem like it should take that long, but then again I'm not the one who knows how long it should take. Hmmm.

Wish our man Tony was still around. I watched a LIVE LA, California High Speed chase just a little while ago for over 1 hour. Love those things for some reason. This guy was doing up to 100 mph on regular streets and when he would jump on the freeway he went even faster. At one point he was even going the wrong way on the shoulder on the freeway. Crazy. Anyways, Tony would have loved to know I wasted a hour watching a LA Chase. LOL

My brother that lives here not far from us when to see our brother George in Chicago yesterday. Had to have a appt and could only visit for 1 hour and they had a plastic screen between them. Unreal. Anyways, he called me today to tell me that TODAY his residence went on RED ALERT. In other words LOCK DOWN and no visitors again. He was so happy that he and his wife made it to see George before that happened. I can't go to see him until Art is done with his Cataract surgery and other tests. Maybe by then the place will be open again. I think it's the STAFF that is bringing in the germ. They should be tested at least once a week with those quick tests if anything. The residence don't go anywhere and this has happened too many times. They get stuck taking their meals in their rooms. Poor 98 yr old Nick is in the same situation. They just opened his place up today. Wonder how long before they close it down again. Feel so bad for all those people.
If you can get outside and sit for a little while DO IT FOR THEIR SAKES, because they can't.

Okay, I'm out of here for tonight. Everyone have a wonderful evening.

TGIF!

I enjoyed President Biden's speech last night. Finally some honest and truthful talk that wasn't just about him, as was normal for the Buffoon. Calm and factual information, both good and bad. Just telling people how things actually are.

Last night we also had some magic happen on our driveway.

You see, Kathi wanted a new end table like the one we had. An end table that we have at one end of one of our couches that has a 2 1/2 foot tall light stand coming out of the top of it. Nothing wrong with the old one, she just wanted a new one. So she bought one. Now, what to do with the old one?

We decided to just sit it out at the end of the driveway as the sun was setting last night. ABRACADABRA! By sunrise this morning it had gone POOF. Magically disappearing.

Ooops, I just looked at the clock. I need to start getting ready for our trip to Salem, Ohio to find out where this Walmart is where we'll be getting our Covid shot.

(I wonder if they have witches there.)

Stay safe, stay well.

And if you don't behave, post some pictures.

Good "Friday" morning all!

Dave: You can tell you are retired when you take a trip to see where you'll be going for the shot. We do that a lot with "new places" too. Makes it easier the day you actually have to make the trip.

So far here it's a SUNNY DAY and 42F. Should get a little higher soon. Just hope it doesn't rain and that the WIND isn't like it was yesterday.

Lee: We didn't get any rain here at all yesterday. Isn't that funny that we live so close and the weather is different.

Did I tell you that our grandson, Eric, got a job driving those cars around that have the funny Zig/Zag plastic decal covering all over them so you don't know what they are! He loves cars and this place owned by "Roush" hires young people to test drive the cars. I can see this getting OLD REAL FAST. Manufacturers need to have their cars road tested for various things before they put them into production. Can't wait to hear all his stories. It's a good thing the kid loves cars. Not my kind of part-time job at all. Ha Ha. He's young and in school so it will be good for him. Mr Eric always finds something to keep him busy.

I'll be back later gang...........I don't have anything more for now!! Have a safe & fun day.

Good morning, everyone! A beautiful Florida day is upon us and by mid week we should be pushing for 90!!! Rita & Bill are going to owe us big time for this perfect weather!!

Glad to know that everyone who can get the vaccine in our group has either gotten them or is scheduled in the coming days. Too bad Lee & Lu-Ann have to wait so long. I'm not even sure they are allowed in the hutch and definitely they have to be wearing their masks!!

Went to the Grill last night as planned. Got a call from our friend who told me they were going last night for the chicken parm as they don't eat meat on Fridays during Lent either. So off we went to dinner with them. I still have some left, but that will be for another day. Tonight I'm planning to make shrimp scampi with lots of garlic.

I pulled a good one last night. As I was getting ready to head for the bedroom to get my jammies on, I managed to get tangled up with the oxygen line and the oxygen line won. Yep! I fell on the living room floor. Bert couldn't get me up, so he had to call Gary for help. Gary along with his 16 year old stepson who is a body builder had me up in less than 30 seconds. Only thing I felt badly about is this was after 11:30. To make it up to them, I sent them home with most of the cookies I made the other day. They were happy, especially the 16 year old!!

I didn't get a chance to tell you yesterday but Gary dropped a bomb shell on us the other night when they were here for dinner. Seems like he had just found out the night before that his ex-wife just had a baby 5 days ago! Boy, was that a shocker. She had sworn her kids to keep it a secret. Emily wanted her mother to get an abortion when she found out in December, but of course, it was too late than. Now she wants her mother to put "it" up for adoption, but her mother said no. So Emily is giving her mother a choice of either keeping her or "it". Emily is now 18 and thinks she can just get an apartment, if her mother gives her some money for the first month and then thinks she can just get a job to pay after that. This is the girl who refuses to learn to drive and has never had a job in her life!! This may get very interesting. Stay tuned ...

OK That's it for me this morning. Time to go put more ice on my knee and hope the swelling goes down. Have a great day, gang. Here's a (((HUG))) for each of you!

Thank you Karen! So far the day has been great.
We got into the car early mid-morning and drove to St Clair and Port Huron to see the WATER!
Lee: No ICE JAMS or floating ICE at all. We did see a Seagull just drifting on the water like it was taking a ride in St Clair. The WATER was SO BlUE.....just amazing. The sun was shining and the traffic was easy going. It was a perfect Birthday present to ME.

Came home and used the Shark steamer on the kitchen floor and foyer and did a quick dusting and I'm done until Mark, Jill and Ash come tonight. Feel bad that Eric can't make it, but he called already so that was nice of him.
Art picked up a Birthday cake that he ordered (on his own) from the local yummy bakery. He brought me a bouquet of flowers too. I see some presents, but I won't open them until tonight. I told him ABSOLUTELY NO PRESENTS, but he must have not heard me. Ha Ha.

PAT:
Good Lord who makes mistakes like that at her age..........a BABY. What did she have?
Did she re-marry?? I can't remember! I bet Gary is glad he's out of that situation.
ENJOY your dinner tonight. Sounds great.

We're all having fish & chips and Art is having a Turkey dinner all from our local Greek restaurant. The kids will pick it up on the way to our house since they have to pass right by the place. We could have gone inside this place, but it's a FRIDAY during LENT (not mine) and it will be busy. AND WE DON'T DO INSIDE DINING YET!

Okay, I'm out of here for now. Thanks for the birthday wishes.

I knew there was something else I needed to do this morning, but with all the baby drama, I forgot!! So -

Happy Happy Birthday, Kathie! May you have many many more!!!

Sounds like a nice family gathering for your birthday tonight. Good for you. You do so much for your gang, this is your day to be treated like royalty!!!

The ex had another boy. None of us know his name beyond Emily calling him "it"!

Did a Marcia * Carl type day, in spite of the swollen knee. I've been icing it off and on every chance I've gotten and it does feel a bit better. Now I'm jusr still discovering other areas that hurt. I just can't win!!!

Happy, happy birthday Kathie.
If you told Art no presents and there are some you should get his ears checked while he’s getting all of the other issues serviced! Yes, the water is a stunning blue as was the sky today.
Pat, I know I shouldn’t laugh but all I can think of about the baby is “Cousin It”. Sure sounds like Emily is a chip off her Mom. You take care of yourself please! I’m thinking we could build a bunny in law suite out behind the hutch. To keep us all safe until we get our vaccines.
”Witch” way did you go to Salem Dave? Neat magic trick!
And on that theme, “which” of your projects got tended to today Karen?
G’nite folks. We’ll see you in the morning. Or afternoon.

Night from Belleview...busy day & most of it in the hot sun....main project today Lee was finishing the patio pressure washing....glad that project is done!

Thanks for the Birthday Wishes folks. Love ya all.

We all had Fish dinners tonight....even Artie changed from Turkey to Fish. Ha Ha
Eric called from while stopped on break. The kid had a Grand Cheokee 2022 and was driving it all over the place testing this and that. He's in HOG heaven right now. (Personally, I think this driving a car for 8 hours would get old. At least he isn't doing it 7 days a week! Whew.

And the gang saved the best Birthday Gift for LAST for ME. Ashley was offered the JOB she has been interviewing for. She now has to review the offer she got today and let them know her answer or ask for any changes. Wishing her tons of luck as she moves onward in her life in the working world. All of this job stuff won't take place until April or the 1st of May. :crazy01:

Karen: So glad you got your power washing done. Take Saturday off and chill out. How warm is that swimming pool getting? I bet you could have jumped in after you got done with your power washing. :yogini:

BB: Please take care of yourself girl. We don't want any more falls or tripping going on. Watch where the heck you're walking please.
Can't wait to hear more about "IT". :worried:

Dave: How did you make out with your drive to check out Salem vaccine area?

Last one to say "Lako Noc" .....or in English....GOOD NIGHT! I had a really good day. :loveya:

Happy belated birthday, K2! Any problem blowing out ALL those candles?
1f601.png

Cool job Eric has. I wonder if they hire young people to test drive those cars to check to see if they are crash-worthy. Happy to hear that Ashley was offered that job she wanted.

Speaking of a crash, it doesn't sound like you did well in your fall, BB. In a few days you'll be seeing all the black and blue spots. But as you know, that fall could have been worse. Sounds like that Emily is quite a handful of attitude.

Lee; It was a sunny and warm drive to Salem yesterday. I haven't been on those roads for 15 years but I did remember quite a few landmarks. An hour and 10 minutes from our door to that Walmart's door. Through lots of flat farm country. From our last election I knew that we are in the middle of Buffoon-country, but I was amazed to see how many people were still showing their flags and yard signs for him. (All eating out of the same bucket of stupid.)

Break is over KC. Back out to finish that back yard young lady. Yes, you can take your coffee with you.

Should be a mostly sunny day here but only in the mid 40's. Zip for plans. But Kathi does want to try out some breaded shrimp in the air-fryer.

Good morning and happy Saturday to you all. You do remember what a Saturday meant to you back during your employed working days, don't you? Just think of it as what you now live every day!! LOL

Lee - You cracked me up with that "Cousin It" reference. I'll have to share that with my kids so we can all have a good laugh.

Dave - Sounds like a nice ride you had to get to that Walmart in Salem. Good for Kathi being creative with using the air fryer. I understand breaded shrimp come out tasting like fried shrimp but with a lot less grease. Doing chicken that was should also be good.

Kathie - Sounds like a pretty great birthday gathering you had. So glad Ashley has been offered that job she really wants. Nice that she'll still have a break before she starts working, but I bet that by then she'll be chomping at the bit to get on with it.

Karen - Good for you getting that pressure washing done and out of the way. We have a few spots on the lanai that could use a hit with the pressure washer. It gets dark due to all the rain and is mostly around the edges of the slab. I'm sure that sooner or later Bert will decide it's time to do it before the heat of summer arrives. Which, by the way, is getting really close. It's supposed to be 90 here for St Patrick's Day!!

The shrimp scampi turned out great last night and we still have enough left for another dinner! One thing was for sure - There was not going to be any vampires slinking around this house with the amount of garlic I put in the sauce.
We had just barely finished eating and cleaning up when Missy called. She had ordered take out from Hungry Howie's (UGH!) and when they went to pick up the order, it wasn't there. She checked the app on her phone and realized she had accidentally ordered it from the HH in Poinciana and asked us to pick up the order and to eat it. I said we'd pick it up, but had already had dinner, so it's in the fridge waiting for them tomorrow. I'll even heat it all up for them.

Only thing I have on tap to do today is to make a key lime pie for tomorrow, because after all, tomorrow is Pi Day!!! I know M&J and company will enjoy some too.

Have a wonderful day, everyone. Find something fun to do, but stay safe as you do it! :)

Good AFTERNOON Wrabbits. Where does the time go?
Just like Dave‘s weather here. Sunny and BRISK! Not going to be above 45 degrees for at least a week!
Dave...nice you found the Walmart in Salem. Did you see any Witches flying by in the corn fields?
Mark told us his one brother and wife drove from here to Pennsylvania (6.5 hrs) to get their Covid vaccine shot! Amd then drove back home. They are planning a trip to Florida for a month and wanted to get at least 1 shot before leaving. They are driving to Florida and have set up to get the 2nd shot on the way home. The pharmacist said they would still have plenty of time to get it and have it work.
I thought Rita & Dave went out of their wat to get the shot, but there’s always a story to top the first stories! Ha ha.

Pat: Hope you’re not too sore today. Good that you could pick up Missy’s mistake Pizza Order. Saves her from losing all that money on the order.
Nice that you won’t have to worry about any ”spirits” in your house because of all” that GARLIC. HA HA.

Karen: Be careful out in that high heat. We would love to share at least 30 degrees of your temps if you fond a way of shipping them to us.

Lee: I keep forgetting to ask how your SOD did through the Winter? We drove by 2 SOD Farms avout 10 mins from our house yesterday and the grass is greening up nicely. They’ll be cutting real soon. I’m sure they want to CUT before the Spring Rains start and set them back. They haul the sod to other states that are warmer than Michigan. We need 2 yards od sod for where we had the 2 Flowering Pear Teees removed.

Wow....2 astronauts out of the space ship and fixing various things out in space. Amazing!

Not sure what I’m going to do with the rest of my afternoon. I want to read up on how to create a ENVELOPE and maybe even how to do AVERY LABELS for addresses. I wish there was somebody that could come into the house and just show me. I guess YouTube might be my next step.

Take care folks. Be back later.

Rita/Dave....how are you both doing? Would be nice to hear what you’re up! Send a picture of your view too.

Good afternoon all!!

Pat, ouch....glad you didn't do more damage than you did with that tumble the other day..you do realize we are not holding "bunny flop" competitions here in the hutch...between Bill, Rita & You I'm starting to wonder...
That was quite the bombshell Gary dropped....will be interesting to follow along with the drama...from a safe distance of course...

Dave, sounds like your hour + road trip wasn't to bad yesterday...I think when you go for your shots you should pack a picnic lunch to enjoy on the way home....we have those same kind of magic shows around here too....:)

Kathie, sounds like your family did a bang up job helping you celebrate your birthday! Just what was in those presents you mentioned earlier? Congrats to Ashley on getting the job she was hoping for....and being a young male I'm sure Eric is having a grand time driving all those fancy new cars every day...

Lee, so what was the online trivia game of choice yesterday? I think to make things more interesting until you can meet up in person again all the losers should put a dollar in the pot every week....and then when all this mess finally blows over you should all go out to dinner with the money....

Got up early this morning & went to the grocery store when they first opened...then took myself to breakfast in the Villages...and then shopping at Walmart....I was doing good sticking to my shopping list until I got to the garden center...I picked up a white rose bush & a white geranium....2 items that are hard to find...then I bought a few half price/half dead annual's came home & got everything planted and now taking a little break...
Can't remember if I mentioned or not...but I made a roast chicken breast in the air fryer the other night...it came out pretty good...I still have to play around with the time & temp a bit...but so far I'm happy with the purchase...yesterday was lunch with the poolies at the clubhouse....always a nice way to end a week...now my tummy is telling me it's lunch time....I ate a big breakfast & was planning to skip lunch...but the rumbling is saying otherwise....enjoy the day all!!

Karen: Good for you buying PLANTS and actually getting them into the ground already. I was just reading on Facebook today about putting TUMS tablets in the ground when planting tomatoes. Adds Calcium. And somebody said Epsom Salts is good to mix in the soil before planting veggies. I'll try it with some Tums and Epsom salts that I will get from Dollar Store when the time comes to do planting. I can't wait to get outside in the garden.
Nice that you have your Poolie friends to have lunch with. You guys have such a nice area for that.

So I got some gift cards. One to Starbucks, and one for the Car Wash place down the street. Art said the guy told him the card gives you twice as many washes as the price was. Good deal. Also, got a new Curling Iron and
Mascara and facial wipes to take off make-up. Ha Ha....I haven't put much make-up on lately because of the masks! I got a new KEYBOARD for the computer. I think it's more for Art than me, but it was nice of the kids to buy it for us. The keys are so much easier to use than the FLAT keys on the Laptop.
Jill bought me a cute ceramic bird that has Green Boots on it. I'll have to take a picture of it and post it later. It matches the fireplace and will remind me of my BIRD friends outside.
So all in all I got some nice things. I never ask for anything because I really hate getting gifts. I love GIVING them though.

I missed getting my FREE STARBUCKS BIRTHDAY PURCHASE yesterday. So I just got off the phone with Starbucks home office and the nice gal put the Birthday Reward back on my card and I have 24 hrs to get it. Yippee. The squeaky wheel gets the grease as I always say!

Can't wait to hear more about this IT BABY. Pat/Bert at least it's not another grandchild for you guys! Ha Ha. No relation at all.

Later..........

Hi gang!

Just checking in this morning. Not much to yak about.

Just want to tell you again that I enjoy reading your posts about what you are up to.

My "exciting" day will start off compressing some boxes so they fit in the 2 wheeled dumpster. Recently they came out with a rule that everything has to be in your little dumpster. No more sitting things next to it or on top of it. They don't want their drivers slowed down getting in and out of their trucks.

Time for some grub before I start.

Another "Lincoln" episode is on CNN at 10 PM tonight.

Happy Pi Day one and all!!!

Good morning, fellow hutchmates! Hope your day is off to a good start and that you all remembered to change your clocks. Only one left in our house is the one by the bed that I let Bert change so he feels useful! LOL

Not much happening around here for most of the day. M&J should be coming over to eat the food Missy ordered from the wrong place and we had to go pick up. I bet there's a good chance the kids will want to go swimming too on this beautiful day. That's when Bert & I may escape to the Grill for a drink and their appetizer special this week. It's a sampler platter. I hope the put it on the new permanent menu, as it's really good with chicken tenders, mozz sticks, onion rings and potato skins with appropriate sauces and dips. YUMMY!!!

Well, what kind of pie are you having today in honor of Pi Day? I made a Key Lime Pie yesterday, so we're all set.

Haven't got anything else to say for right now, so let me move on. I have to call Rita to give her the credit card number for the deposit on our cruise. I may even get excited about this!!
Have a wonderful, safe day, everyone, but don't forget to behave yourself while you enjoy our extra hour of daylight! :)
