Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

Good Mid-Morning first Saturday of 2021! Indeed a beautiful day considering we got a gift from our government in our checking acct!
That will help offset the new deck door-wall (slider to some of you) and garage entry door into the house. When it EVER gets here!
Spend your new found money responsibly! Ha Ha!

Tony...Wow, 19 years together on here amazing! Some marriages don’t last that long! It’s been fun. I’ve talked to you folks each day way more than I talk to my own immediate family. Let’s keep it going and going and going!

Dave: Big congrats on OHIO STATE‘s win last night. They sure were anhappy bunch.
About that lady screaming her lungs out on the front porch.....I’ll take FULL credit for that. I try and bang the pot every year that we are in our own house on NYEve. In the past, when we were with friends at their homes or a restaurant, I act responsibly and refrain from doing that!

Snow Angels.....haven’t done that in years. Use to be fun to do though! Tony you should line up Ben and Annelie and you and Nancy and do a line of Snow Angels on some fresh snow and have somebody take a picture and post it. The kids would love you for it! Ha ha.

Karen: Where you at girl? Got a HOT New Year’s Eve Date and forgot to come back home to the Hutch?

Lee: I think it would have been neat to see the full picture of the outfits you all had on. Dressy TOPS and PJ bottoms were most likely the norm! Good for you all having a Virtual get together.

BB: Now what did our Kitchen Queen do yesterday? Hopefully you can ease up on all the family dinners and just chill out for awhile!

Out of here for now. Later gang.
Tony....stay warm up in McCloud and post some SNOW PICTURES of you guys and the fun you’re having.

TONY: Soup, salads and French bread sounds like a FANTASTIC dinner to me, especially in a cabin atmosphere. We tend to eat a lot of various hearty soups in the Winter months for dinner. I need to start baking my own small loaves of bread to go with it.

Covid keeps me stuck inside the house more and more and I need to keep busy so I don’t go crazy! Especially since we will be stuck here in Pure Michigan and not in Florida this year. ( tears flowing down my face)
Binge watching movie series and doing puzzles just doesn’t cut all the time. Going to try and work on my Passwords for various websites this year. I have a old fashion “Address Book” that I write down the User ID’s and Passwords to various account in alphabetical order in the book. It needs to be totally CLEANED UP. Finding a new Address Book to transfer all this to is going to be the challenge!

Good afternoon, everyone! Hard to believe it's 19 years now that this group has been together in one form or another. And to think it started when PH told me it was safe to answer your post San, and that you were a "good guy"! I had asked a question about what kind of clothes did I need to buy for our Brilliance cruise and your smarta$$ answer was that I already had enough clothes in my closet! And so it began ....

Stimulus check? We didn't get no dumb $600. stimulus check. We're holding out for the $2,000! :D

K2 - Glad Ashley made it home safe and sound. I'm sure that was a big relief to all of you. I have to laugh about every time you tell us Baba is grandma in Serbian. My brother's kids called their other grandmother the same thing. She was Ukrainian.
And for the record, I didn't do any cooking yesterday and just took it easy. I think I had a slight side effect from the vaccine and that was I was very tired for 2 days. Or else it means I've been staying up too late. I feel much better today.

Lee - That sounds like one heck of a virtual NYE party! Love the half way dressed up. Saw a picture of a friend up in Gainesville from Christmas when their temp went below freezing. She had her dog outside and she was wearing a full length fur coat over her PJs and had on sandals to complete the outfit. Her husband's picture with the dog had him dressed like he was out in -20 degree temps. He was that bundled up. They were just having some fun.

Dave - As hard as it is for me to say, I want to congratulate you on the Ohio State win. There. I did it!!!

KC - Are you taking advantage of this warm weather and hanging out at the pool with your poolies? You need to drop by more often. Make that your new year's resolution!!

I think M&J are going to stop over for a while today. They never made it yesterday. Still have so much snacks and such that needs to be consumed before it goes bad.

Our temperature is supposed to make it up to 80 today, but it's very cloudy, so that might not happen it is 77 here though, so that's not bad for January 2nd in my book.

Time for a turkey sandwich and if the mood moves me, I'll make a pot of chicken noodle soup for dinner or tomorrow. Have a good one gang, and if you go anywhere, you know the rules! :)

I checked our bank account and we didn’t get the $600 either.
A nice walk by the river this morning. It wasn’t cold at all. There were a lot of the folks we see during nice weather down there today. It was good to see everyone.
I bet Baba breathed a sigh of relief when Ashley was reported as safe and sound back home. We were lucky that we didn’t really hear any fireworks.
So many things take on added “wonder” when reflected on water Pat. Even wet roads and walkways can have great reflections. I had to chuckle when you said 18 eggs were no longer enough. Good thing you have an in with an “egg farm”.
It‘s been about a year since I got to experience a new vehicle and all the safety features they now offer Tony. Amazing how far automobile technology has come in a relatively short time.
We’ve got cool but cloudy here Dave. We missed the freezing stuff Kathie got. Too bad the real Rose Parade was cancelled but I bet the documentary was pretty interesting.
Karen, I thought we told you to be in by midnight! Wait, you’re not in jail are you?
Dog toe nails and dog teeth to be tended to.
Hope that you all have a fantastic germ free day!

Lee - Your comment about things reflecting on the water made me stop and see what the lake looks like right now. We have a breeze today so the lake has tiny ripples. With the sun shining on it right now, it looks like millions of diamonds glittering over the whole lake by us. Beautiful sight, but you can't watch it too long without sunglasses on. Like what happens when you're out in bright snow. But it is breathtaking to see. :)

Good evening.....well....about that 12 o'clock curfew the other night....I tried to make it in on time...but I lost my glass slipper at the ball ....and...do you have any idea how HARD it is to find a replacement glass slipper these days??? Darn near impossible...so by the time I found the dang thing hanging off the chandelier the clock had already struck 12....my carriage had turned into a pumpkin....so I had to wait for an Uber to take me home....that's MY story & I'm sticking to it!!

Been busy packing up all the Christmas decorations...and trying to thin out some of the stuff... got a break tonite when Tom called & asked if I'd like to go out to dinner with him & Grant....we went to a Greek restaruant...which was intersting because I'd never had greek food....and still haven't other than the greek salad that came with my pasta....it was all very good & the portions were huge...I have enough pasta & salad for a full meal again tomorrow...now I'm going to put my comfy clothes on & relax for a bit....No church for me tomorrow...but I will do the virtual church so I will put in a word for all of us....later gang....

Time for me to say good night here too. M&J came over and we had a great time chatting this afternoon. Talked to our grandson in Texas who probably now has COVID-19 from a co-worker. :( Told him all the things he has to watch our for. Then this evening we all went to the Grille for dinner. It was just a perfect day to relax.
So now it's time to get comfy and relax for the rest of the night. See you all hopefully in the morning. If not, see you in the afternoon sometime! Sleep well, everyone! :)

Good evening Wrabbits. Nice chatter on here tonight!

Karen: You going to tell us how the Glass Slipper got in the Chandelier?

Lee: Nice that you got to the rivers edge and got to see some familiar faces again. Is the town all quiet and closed down?

Pat: How nice to have M&J over for awhile. How is the development doing behind their rental property? Wondering if they have all the stumps from the trees out by now and property leveled by now?
Lee brought up your EGG source. Do you still get eggs from M&J? Are they able to sell some of the eggs?

I made a batch of Perzzlles tonight. I think I put in too much sugar and they are a tad too sweet and it makes them crumble easily. Good thing is Art likes them and I do too! They‘re great with coffee in the morning.

Took my next door neighbors MAIL and put it in his garage on a chair he had in there. (We have one of his garage door openers, so it was safe. I dropped it and got out of there quick. Sent him a TEXT message telling his mail was in the garage. He replied with a “THANK YOU MISS KATHIE”. HaHa. He said he washed some clothes, changed out his bedding and was taking it easy. Said he felt a little better, but tired. I told him not to do too much.

Checking out for tonight from Macomb.

Pat: Do you get a Refund Deposited into your checking or savings from taxes? How did you get the last Wind-fall of money??? I was totally surprised that money could get deposited that quickly into our checking acct.

Good SNOWY MORNING GANG!
It‘s a Winter Wonderland out there right now.
There was not a speck of snow when we went to bed and now it’s actually PRETTY watching the snow falling. Sure glad I don’t have to go out in it!

You all behave and play by the “Rules”. I’ll say a prayer for all of us at VIRTUAL church this morning.

Tony.....Not sure when you and your gang are heading home, but if you're reading along here please drive very, very carefully coming back down from the snow. Where are the pictures??

Later gang....

Dave.....sure hope you didn’t slip on any snow you got down your way letting the pups in and out the door.
Not like you to nit show up on here.

Good Sunday morning Bunnies!

Absolutely pleased to hear from you KC. I was getting worried.

Not feeling up to snuff this morning. I must have slept like a pretzel. Back and bruised ribs are hurting.

Just wanted to stop in and say Howdy to all you good folks.

Good morning! How's everyone doing this wet morning? It's wet here too today, but not the cold wet, just raw rainy weather. Good day to sleep in or take a nap!!

K2 - You sure were a chatty one person show - 4 posts in a row! You win the to-be-determined prize!!
To answer your question about where Missy is, they are still doing things on that property to the rear like putting in a water retention pond, sewers and starting roads. Since all that work has been going on, their chickens have pretty much gone on strike and stopped laying eggs on a regular basis and have to be confined to their coop. We're back to getting our eggs the old fashion way - We buy them at the store!! It was nice while it lasted, and you can really tell the difference. Their eggs had very hard shells to crack from the kind of food they feed them. Supermarket egg shells are much easier to crack.

Dave - Sorry about this morning's aches and pains. I can relate as many a morning I am stiff until I get all the horses working in sync!! LOL

Time to get to work around here. All the Christmas stuff is going away while I do about 4 loads of laundry and find time to make a big pot of turkey noodle soup, Now that the temps have cooled down, we're going to need something to warm the inner us! Have a wonderful day, everyone, stay dry and stay safe! :)

Go home day today. Tomorrow is back to school tomorrow and A and A start work again.
Still a lot of snow on the ground at the cabin, but all roads are clear. It’s been a nice getaway. Did some exploring with the trucks yesterday afternoon.

Breaking news from 1 hour ago ... Bill has arrived in Florida! :emoticon 0137 clapping:

Got 90% of the Christmas stuff packed up and ready to head for the garage. Only thing left to pack is the manger that Bert's mother painted in ceramics while we still lived in NJ. Packing and putting that away is Bert's job.

Time for me to start the turkey noodle soup. :chef:

Good afternoon!n
Welcome home Tony. It sounds like you had a great time. And a good drive home.
We finished putting our Christmas stuff away this morning too Pat. I’m glad you took a second to “reflect on the reflections“ yesterday. I guess that the construction behind Missy’s place is only going to get worse as houses start to go up...
I hope that you take it easy and your aches and pains go away Dave. I would like to suggest that you consult Doctor Morgan. Or is that Captain Morrgan. ;)
As long as you stick to your story Karen who are we to doubt you. Rest assured that I won’t be googling “police records in Belleview on New Years Eve”...
It was good to see a number of the folks in town Kathie. While it was dull at least it was warmer than it has been. Like today. We had a little snow but it’s long gone. Some of our merchants are forced to close completely. This really impacts hair places, clothing shops and so on. Our book shop is open for curb side pick up. Most of our restaurants are doing their best to stay open for take away only. Their days and hours are reduced but as long as people support them they’ll be here when this is all over. And I don’t think anybody knows if and when that will ever be.
Good to know Bill and Rita are safe and sound in FL.
That reality show, America - The Election, just keeps getting more bizarre by the hour. The best and most off beat script writers couldn’t, and wouldn‘t, have penned this stuff because frankly who would have believed it.

I should toddle.
You all stay well. Remember, if your hands aren’t rough and dry you’re not washing them enough.

Good to know that Bill made it to Hutchinson Island, FL. Now Rita & him can enjoy the next 3 months. Be safe you two!
Pat: Art and I looked it up in our big Atlas and it's a little haul from where your place is. I guess Freeway or Toll Road would make it doo-able.
Thanks for the heads up on Missy's chickens. Poor things can't get any stress free time over there.
Good luck with your soup! We had soup last night. I guess they call it Stuffed Pepper soup. Same as the stuffed pepper ingredients, but just made into a soup. It was thick and good.

And yup, I had a ONE GAL TALK SHOW going on here earlier. Lonely. Ha ha

Lee: That nice white snowfall really early this morning is melting quickly. It was a WET one to begin with and the 38F temp is helping speed up the melting of it. Grass is still white, but streets and sidewalks are clear except for a little slush that might cause a issue tonight when the temps drop.
Sorry about all the businesses being locked down, but I guess the government is trying to help save lives. It's scary when you read and listen to the news.

DAVE: Take care of those old bones buddy. Time to drag out the heating pad!! Do you have enough covers on the bed. Or were you all twisted up trying to stay warm?? Have a few SHOTS of your favorite booze and you'll warm up.

Tony: Good to know you and the gang made it home. How was the drive back? Hopefully, a little smoother than the trip to McCloud. Did it snow anymore while you all were up there?

Karen: Nice of the "boys" to take you to the Greek place yesterday. Greek food is good. Just has a a different spice in some of it and they like lemon too. But it's better to play it safe and get something you like when in doubt.

Okay, I'm out of here. Need to rest these old eyes.

We haven’t left McCloud yet. Maybe 30 minutes from now. They clean the cabin and do laundry prior to leaving. Ben and Annelie are really good about helping. Nancy and I do our part to help.

Hmmm, something is backwards. It seems to me that eggs from M&J is the old fashioned way. ....... not from a grocery store. Please correct your mistake.

We had a little more snow here, but also rain.

Happy New Year to all from Sunny and warm Florida..........

Lisa and I left Tuesday t drive down and had a very easy ride. We stayed in Chester VA the first night and actually got to the hotel around 3. We had left Massachusetts at 5 a.m. and just breezed to NY. A bit of traffic on the GW Bridge, but then nothing until we reached VA. We used the toll lane, and were very happy we did, as we probably saved two hours or so. Left the next morning around 7:30 and landed in Kingsland GA (just 3 miles north of the FL border_ around 2:30 that afternoon. Next day we were in Fort Pierce before noon, but we couldn't access the condo until the next day, so we just chilled out a bit and visited some friends in Stuart (social distancing and with masks in case you are wondering).
Next day we checked into the condo around 11, and I was very happy to see the condition and cleanliness of the place. We are right on the beach and have a great view out of our bedroom and living room. I can see and hear the ocean with the sliders open, so all is good.
Bill arrived yesterday and Lisa left yesterday right after we collected Bill from the airport.

I am so grateful for our wonderful kids. Lisa did a lot of the driving, but she loaded and unloaded the car, went shopping and brought the groceries in, and really wouldn't let me do much of anything. Our daughter in law cooked a lasagna for Bill and Kevin checked on him every ay and took him to the airport. We are so blessed and I don't know what we would do without them. We are so lucky to have them and I truly appreciate them.

I hope you all had a wonderful New Year holiday, and here's hoping 2021 will be fantastic for all of us. We have had so many trials and troubles in 2020 we certainly could use a good (even boring) 2021.

Will talk with you all later.................Love, happiness, peace and kindness wished for all of you.

Rita

San - I thought the others were rushing saying welcome home. Hope by the time you read this that you are home safe & sound.

Looks like everyone is getting where they should be after this whole holiday season. Time to get ready for the next celebration January 20th! Who knows what crap will go on before that date though.

I'm not sure if I told you that we are getting a
one day visit from Brian & Sara. Their kids go to year round schools and they have one last week of break before they go back, so they decided to do a quickie visit to family. Tomorrow they will be at Sara's parents and we will get them on Tuesday where they will stay over for the one night. They are planning to leave our house around 7 AM to head to Disney to hopefully go on some rides they haven't ever been on. They will spend 2 days at Disney parks - Animal Kingdom and the movie one. I almost choked when Brian told be that those 2 days at the parks are costing over $1,000, food not included. for the 4 of them!! Too pricy for this gal. Now I know why we haven't been to Disney for close to 10 years and have no desire to go back there ever again.

Just about time to have dinner. My Soup smells amazing and I am so ready to have some. Time for me to check out for tonight from Kissimmee. Have a good night, gang, and hopefully, we will all show up tomorrow! :)
